UPDATE:

UPDATE:
Since May! Since the day I discharge till today, still couldn't able to settle my case! Mr.Low Winston, may I know how long you need to get back the letter to me? Your management made the mistake for mixing up the original & reprinted receipts which cause I couldn't proceed my insurance claiming. And now I have to call to each departments to "beg" for explaination letter? (which at the first place if your side didn't even mixed up the reciepts, it wouldn't cause all these troubles to both side). So Mr.Low, I've been given more than 2 weeks for you to prepare the letter, but so far no reply, no update, never call back. Called to your customer service to try to transfer my call or ask them to leave a note to you for returning call, but you NEVER call back for any explanation or update. I understand you have your own schedule etc, but isn't that my case should be part of those things you need to handle? Please stop dragging the progress. I need your proper update regarding on my case. Thank you.

PAST:
Was calling to the business office regarding on the original invoices.
The person who handling the case named Maisarah, and she told me that she will ask the supervisor to call me back on past Monday's evening. Yet, there's no calls from the involved department of ME.

Made another call on Tuesday afternoon, got the same reply, told me that she will contact me shortly, oh maybe we have the different definition of "SHORTLY", YES, I waited for hours and receive no calls from you guys again.

And Wednesday! Made another calls, her colleague told me that she went for lunch, and request to have my contact details again (Just to highlight that I've been giving the same contact info for all the previous calls) and mentioned that Maisarah will call me back soon. Yeap, another disappointing day. Waited for hours, and I made another call, someone picked up and Maisarah is not on desk, and the same thing happen, ask for my details & mentioned that she will called me back.

And till 543pm, the office was closed and STILL I have no updates regarding on what I've been asking for days!
Is this how u guys work on the business service line? Please get someone to look into this case & stop dragging the progress.
What a lousy & disappointing service!

Beautiful new hospital. Doctors and nurses and admin staff are gentle and proficient. Lovely clean and comfortable rooms and toilets.

Parking is a major issue at this hospital. And no sheltered walkway for patients and visitors between it and the MRT. Poor thought in considering the convenience to patients.

Also when i sent my dad in yesterday there was no assistance at the entrance to help transfer my dad to the wheelchair and had to find the wheelchair myself leaving my dad in the car with the engine running.

There were lots of valet staff though. I guess it shows where the priorities lie.

The admission process was not straight forward. Although the admissions staff and front counter personnel were very willing to help. Still too much paperwork that needed to be settled before we could transfer my dad to a bed to rest. Would have been better to give the bed first then settle the paper work in the ward.

Limited food options in the hospital itself.

I am a doctor and had admitted my elderly mother and found the hospital standard care to be highly unsatisfactory. (1) A nurse made an error in the dosage of medication that administered; (2) The nurses clearly did not follow handover procedures with obvious poor communication between the nurses; (3) My mother is immunocompromised and one of the nurses did not follow required hand hygiene practices; (4) my mother required regular glucose blood tests but a nurse skipped the test but the documentation still showed that the test had been done and was even charged for; (5) there were numerous billing discrepancies including being overcharged for oxygen and overcounting of antibiotic infusion bottles; (6) when I queried the bill on the erroneous charges I got different answers about quantities depending on who I spoke with. I feel that all of the above is a far outcry from quality and safe patient care that 'reflects state-of-the-art health care practices' which the hospital claims to provide, especially since it markets itself and charges as a premium hospital. A layperson may not be aware of such omissions and errors and it could potentially have a serious impact on their health and possible complications. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this hospital to friends or family. Note I have contacted the hospital feedback service excellence team and separately the hospital CEO and neither have got back to me regarding these matters.

Amazing doctors,
Great hospital,
Really setting a high standard that other hospitals should aspire to,
This has to be the best hospital in Singapore, in my opinion.

Its very sad and ironic that Mt Elizabeth Novena Hospital, supposedly categorized as one of the best in Asia with state of the art facilities and has received the renowned Joint Commission International accreditation of quality care but treats their international nursing staff very shabbily. They make their nurses work 10 days straight non-stop. This is technically against US and European nursing labor codes and while its true that Singapore is in Asia, a healthcare company that does this to the frontliners of their company is just beyond me. If you don't treat your nurses right and fail to give them adequate rest, you're just setting them up for failure and putting your patients in jeopardy as well. This hospital is a sad example of a greedy corporation disguised as a hospital. You take care of patients very well because you earn money from them but you don't take care of your staff. Whoever your CEO or Nursing Director is, you Sir/Ma'am don't understand the true concept of healthcare and caring for people.

Dr Steven Kum and Dr Tan are the most helpful, professional and skillful doctors I have ever met. They go the extra mile to treat the patients and ensure that they are well looked after. Kudos to Novena Vascular and Varicose Vein Centre at Level 8!
Jessie, the podiatrist is meticulous and skilled too! Awesome team indeed!!!

Seriously Poor service. Honestly does not deserve the premium pricing. Although the room looks new and fancy, the work flow is definitely having problems. Upon admission, the nurse told me she know nothing about my case, and starting to ask the whole history, regardless detail the doctor instruction on admission letter i passed to them. Not sure why the nurse would not get the information, but first 10mins i was already doubting this place. Then, another 2hours to figure out what test to run and arranged our meal. No body come to inform me what is going on, i had to go to ask for everything. Then, discharge was extremely long waiting time. I had to wait till 5pm to start the process, then nurse said i had to wait another 45mins to go to the lobby to queue to pay. Honestly, what is the difference vs public hospital if you have to wait so much and no one explain you things? Why could not the patient pay at the ward level. I stayed in gleneagles, they do all the admin stuff for you in the room.

Prenatal Diagnostic Centre. I went there for check up appointment with my wife. First appointment was delayed for 4 hours plus. We waited without taking our lunch. No reason given. After follow up a few times, then the stuff told us to take lunch and come back again. On third appointment, we arrived early as usual. We over heard staff saying forgot to make appointment with doctor. But end up came in to told us doctor having emergency case. Told us to come back in the afternoon. What a craps! Of course doctor won t attend to your last minute call.

Recently I went to MEH Novena for OP was booked day surgery one week ago , I went there 3 hours before My OP, the staff there keep on attending the people behind me , I waited for half hour until they clear all the case , the worst is that I was told no room available in day surgery, i need to stay in the ward, I Checked with them what kind of ward am I going to , the staff just simply says is a mixture ward no specific ward is a mixture of medical and surgical ward . When I went down it clearly stated that is a oncology ward. On my Gosh , I refused admit to this ward. They simply don't have general knowledge of their Hospitals. The staff nurse their also not professional, not following standard practice (I am a nurse also)they do not know their patients well, no hand hygiene performed for all the Nurses, poor infection control, most of the staff are from overseas. Charges are among the highest in all the Hospitals but services is the lousiest. Lucky the doctor is good , If I have choices I won't visit it anymore. definitely not recommended for my friends and family members.

Supposed to be the newest and best hospital but the admission process took more than 1.5 hours without anyone giving heads up what was going on but just left me waiting for something to happen till I enquired about the ETA. A few patients walked up to inform the staffs about their more than 1 hour wait.... But i think the wards are full booked. (Sounds like a busy hotel) lol.... Poor counter service staffs had to explain to those angry patients. I was nicer to chit chat with them to understand about the situation as it is definitely not the counter staffs fault.

Mount E Orchard, GlenE and Raffles were much more efficient and personal where they really take care of the patient from start till end. I thought the 2 hours before the surgery is for me to prepare myself mentally but NO.

Maybe different management compared to other brunch? Or due to covid-19.

Let's hope the whole experience will be better and more patient friendly.

Was with my wife this morning at the Level 3 Prenatal Diagnostic centre. This is our 3rd time there. And this is my first review after letting the matter rest. Hopefully other couples will not have to go through this again.

Seems we always have to wait til the cows come home each time.
We were told to be early or risk our turn being forfeited. So we duly obliged, arriving at 1010 for our 1030 appt. Little did we know, we were in for the same experience once again. Waited til 1115 before our turn. And no explanation until I checked with the counter twice. They were polite and calm but could not help much.

Realistically, if there were only 2 sonographers, why pack the appts so tight and make so many patients wait? I dont think its the fault of the staff. Its the system and Parkway needs to fix this. Asap.

The standard has plummeted. Very recently I checked into this hospital for an operation which was scheduled at 1pm. Made to wait from 11am to 12.45pm because not a room was available. Finally, reached the ward, cleared the routine screening and, it was time for the theatre. I didn't get to rest nor get a really good wash-up. Disappointing.

Got admitted through A&E with a fractured and dislocated ankle. The A&E doctor was swift, decisive and helped set a drip that wasn't painful at all. Orthopedic surgeon came down and ordered tests as well as planned for the surgery. Dr David Su gave me so much confidence that everything is gonna be alright (despite the fear of my dangling ankle). The drs were professional, skilful and assuring. Nurses are all empathetic, warm and most importantly caring. Food was tasty and I had so much appetite after my surgery. I cannot thank them more for their assurance, care and help throughout my 4 day hospitalization experience. It made my ordeal less painful, less traumatizing and very much bearable.

Style over substance. Especially the understaffed maternity wards. Expect to wait 15-20min for a nurse to attend to you.
Handover between nurses is poor and you ll be expected to advise them on what to do. The business counters are also understaffed, I ve already waited 35mins while typing this review...

Otherwise the building is great, but I m not here for a holiday. I m here to be treated, so it s a pretty pointless having nice facilities when service and nursing is lacking.

Also be expected to wait. Especially for the prenatal diagnostic Center. Bring your hospital bag because you might end up giving birth before your appointment....

Took my son to the A&E after he fell badly and needed stitches. The medical staff is attentive and professional. The support and admin staff leaves much to be desired.
First, the admission process was poorly explained, and my wife was left waiting with no guidance and took way longer than necessary.
While waiting for a room, I left to get some food and left my wife and son to wait for a room. When a room became available, my wife was asked to CARRY my sleeping son (who just had a procedure done) and all her bags, by herself, up to the ward. I've never seen ANY hospital in SG asking this of patients. After seeing my wife struggle with the situation, the staff finally offered to push my boy up to the room.
Hospitalization is a very stressful process for patients and their family, and they are often not in the mental state to make requests. For a hospital like Mount E, I really expect better.

This is a very new hospital. It is very modern inside but very empty. Maybe it is too expensive?? The hospital directory lists many doctors but many of the clinics are closed. I was told not all the doctors are here permanently. They are based in other hospitals but come here on some days. I am not sure I will come back here again.

We have been to the Accident and Emergency ward twice over the last 3 months. Both visits we were received/greeted with kindness. Taken into Triage quickly (less than a 5 minute wait), and seen by a Dr within another 5 minutes.

Both Doctor's were professional and very personable. They listened to our concerns and took appropriate measures to ensure the health of our child.

The Dr had us wait yesterday to see if our child was okay. One nurse made a hand balloon out of the glove and another nurse came out to blow bubbles to help get movement into our child's arm/hand.

With regards to cleanliness it is spotless. Cleanest Emergency department I've experienced.

I would definitely recommend this A&E if you happen to need one.

I would not give extreme good or bad rating. Firstly the staffs here are very friendly and helpful. They do a great job! I was staying at Room 1104. This deserves a 5 Stars.

However with such a price for a single room, the amenties surely do not worth the price. Firstly the room was not made up properly. Mini bar was not topped up, looks like the left over were from the previous patient. Housekeeping should have a checklist. Secondly the toilet was not properly cleaned. Found a huge blanket lying on the floor next to the laundry basket. Thirdly, the time of waiting in queue is long. Not much queue to handle BUT need to wait 30 mins to be served. Looks like resource management is an issue. All these warrants a -1 Star. In conclusion I give a 2 Stars rating, fair?

This is the newest hotel in Singapore, owned by Parkway Healthcare. My dad stayed here for 5 days last year. Great services, very clean. Good doctors. He got treated like a prince here. They also provided 3 meals a day for patient. Very good meal, and clean the room everyday. This is definitely a 5 star hospital. Close to a shopping mall, I used to walk there all the time if I don't have anything to do.

So far so good. Was able to use MRT and follow the signs from Novena Station to Mt. Elizabeth and it was very easy. Entered the lobby that looked like some kind of hotel, not a hospital. To me very strange, but I appreciate the atmosphere that is not so bright, but calmly lighted and with a reception/concierge desk that is staffed with good people if you need directions. For me, it was easy to follow signs and take elevator or escalator to wherever I needed to go. I ended up spending half a day here for doc appointment, tests and another doc appointment to review tests. Very convenient not to have to traipse across town to another facility to get special testing. When you aren't feeling well, that is the last thing you need.
Overall and so far the experience at the hospital and with the docs and nurses and everyone it was quite satisfactory.

The hospital lobby gives off a calming ambience and makes you feel like you re in a hotel rather than a hospital. The facilities are top notch, and transport is convenient with Novena MRT being 5 minutes away and the option for valet parking available. All the nurses were also professional and competent in their individual fields. Dr Leow is an extremely caring doctor, who was also highly skilled in his line of work. He performed the angioplasty and constantly checked with the patient to make sure he was feeling well. He went above and beyond his duties to ensure that the patient had a good experience.

This is going to be weird. I was there to visit a relative. So I was eating there doing my own thing. Then the food for the patient came and this is what she got. A lobster laska and chicken soup with abalone. Nvr have I seen food like that in a hospital. Wow.. The laska tasted good, like a good hawker laska but with half a lobster! The soup was deep in flavor too. I suppose you can't actually try any of this unless you come in as a patient. Soooo..

Arrived at 1010am as we were told to come early or risk having to wait long. Our appt was 1030am. We were only seen at 1115am. This was the second time we had to wait so Long.
Two couples who arrived later seen first. Reason being, their appt was earlier.
Now if this lab cannot stick to the appt time, then please don t schedule so many appts together.
Waiting more than an hour for a scan is ridiculous.

Was admitted for clavicle surgery. My surgeon requested twice daily physio. 1st session was 21 mins and the physiotherapist #1 helped me with the various exercises, explaining what needs to be done. 2nd session (physiotherapist #1) was 17 mins, just going through what we did earlier and providing me with a print out of the exercises. 3rd session was with physiotherapist #2 for 16mins with where I went thru what the therapist #1 did and some chit chat on how I fell etc. 4th session with therapist #3 was all of 7 mins where I repeated what I did with the 2 therapist. She left and came back into the room as my surgeon was coming in to check on me. Since therapist #3 just chatted with me earlier on, she was unable to fully respond to my surgeon's question and left with the surgeon after 10 mins in the room.
The timings of the sessions were provided by the hospital after I made a complain and urged them to view the CCTV to determine the time spent. For the so called therapy sessions, I was shocked to be charged a total of $655.68 for "physiotherapy".
Although insurers pay for my stay, this is not right and has to be called out. When a patient needs physio therapy, the patient expects real therapy session of working out the exercises and not chit chats.
So I'm warning anyone whose stay requires physiotherapy sessions at Mt Elizabeth, Novena. Make sure to ask what you're getting and the cost and duration of each session. Coming into your room and asking if you know what needs to be done and some small talk on how you get into the accident should not qualify as a therapy session. So be warned.

A hospitel. Staff here are warm, friendly and reassuring, 24/7 available to provide support, and my husband who bunked with me during my hospitalisation had a good rest too. What I am disappointed is the billing - during registration, I am asked to provide Letter of Guarantee *AVIVA did this for me - it was a company Insurer that I am claiming this stay against.

However, the registeration staff insisted that I MUST provide my alternate insurer *just in case* Mt E had to do extra procedures. I provided my personal insurer, Prudential just as a back up.

In short, Mt E Novena charged my *personal* insurance the cost of my stay and ignored the Letter of Guarantee from AXA - A Total MISTAKE in the billing!

I called their helpline 3 days ago and till now I have no response to this.

If anyone at Mt E reads this - please call me 96871263 - I want this resolved immediately.

AGAIN
I am calling on a Sat and cant even get through and no one calls back to resolve,

Very unprofessional in dealing with billing isses - beware.

The security woke up when we walked towards her n asked what we wanted. She got a wheelchair for me n wheeled me in to wait while she went to the back to get the nurses. Was wheeled into a room for nurses to do ecg n call the doctor. Was fine till I asked for some water. The male nurse replied that the water machine was just outside n I could get some. I asked him if he meant I should get out of bed n get water...he replied my husband could do it ! Was totally taken aback by this so called service !

The Specialist I was seeing told the AnE doctor to attend to me first. The doctor came n spoke with me but did not even check me up n left.

Fortunately I did not have to wait too long to get a room.

The AnE experience was far from pleasant compared to the AnE at Parkway East Hospital.

I wonder in a real emergency if they can respond quick enough to save lives !!!????

Doctors here are horrible with no skills.

I went to see a gastro doctor as i was having strange feeling in my stomach. He hits touched my stomach and gave me strong acid reflux medication.

In the end after suffering through all that and seeing many other specialists, it turned just anxiety.

They do have a racist angle as well as they assume ur problem based on your nationality.

Avoid if you want good quality medical care.

I went to check Lipid profile and Liver profile on 13th Oct 2017 Morning 10am to the Accident and Emergency unit where they have walk in clinic. I was accompanied to the triage by I don't no weather she is a nurse or an attendant which I thought the Doctor and she asked me what you want to do, when I told her my requirement she suggested me to do a health screening at the 1st floor which is expensive and confusing choice. As I went to the executive health screening which is more time consuming and a long process one lady at specialist consultation counter guide me to go to again to the Accident and Emergency unit and get a consultant from there. By the time I was fasting since last night and this confusion wasted at least 02 hours to go here and there, Fortunately met Dr Alex who was very friendly and caring explained me to do a comprehensive test including Blood and urine examination at a very low cost compared to the executive health screening package. The services of them was very good and friendly except the misguiding at the first. Be wise to choose exactly what you want get done sometimes they might give you wrong choices not worthy.
