Very pleased with service with everyone I have talked with at Mike Shaw. The service staff are always able to schedule me at times that are convenient to me. The service techs are very knowledgeable and explain what will be done and what has been done. I feel confident in their maintenance service.

I bought my FIRST car here on Monday (Oct 8th) and I will recommend this place to EVERYONE I meet!! Alex Vang was the sales person that helped me and he was AMAZING!!! He made me feel comfortable and made sure that I got a great deal!! He was super respectful and personable, he took the time to talk with me about everything while making sure that I could get to my other appointment on time!!! I want to especially thank King Vang who was incredibly helpful and patient throughout the entire process as we worked out the best way to finance and choose the best add on packages for our car. I felt King was incredibly thoughtful in guiding us through the car buying process. Highly recommend them for first time car owners who are relatively new to this.

I think it's safe to say that everyone goes in to a dealership expecting the worst. Of course, a lot of this has to do with the luck of the draw. I was lucky enough to have Alex Comar as my salesperson, he was straightforward and didn't attempt any games or gimmicks. He followed through and delivered on his promises and got me my ideal Subaru!

Cliff is low pressure and always makes the process easy, seamless and I know he is looking out for our best interest. Highly recommend!

New policy of taking $100 before any work is done has turned me off to this dealer. Not only was there quote $100 over another's, they handcuff you with that $100 strong arming you. They were nice enough yo waive for me since it was new but I'll never go back. People are nice though.

Went in for an Oil Change, dropped my car off, decided to look at that lot. After wondering the lot, found a car I was interested in... I wasn't approached, but I was walked by many sales people. When I went inside to look for help, I was ignored. I get a call about my cabin and engine filter needing to be replaced during the middle of my serviced, I approved the work and when I arrived I was billed a certain price and then the service advisor told me that my paper work wasn't completely wrong after he looked it over and told me it was correct. Pretty much I was billed double from the original pricing... Will never return to this dealer, seems to have completely unprofessional staff in multiple departments.

Also I'll add after I was trying to leave, they boxed my car in and couldn't find the keys to the car blocking me in, making me wait while they scrambled to find the keys....

After multiple bad experiences at Shortline Subaru, I found Mike Shaw and couldn t be happier. Wally, the service rep could not have been more caring, helpful, or kind. The customer service was exceptional, I will never go to another Subaru dealer again. Thank you very much to the whole Team at Mike Shaw Subaru!!

I am very happy today because we finally found the perfect car for my daughters first car! Austin, the sales associate, was very helpful and patient and it took me a while to find the right one after test driving multiple cars! I originally got a Jeep Liberty, and it ended up having some issues and the manager, Dan, was incredibly helpful when dealing with some questions and making sure that we were able to get a better fit for us. Given the situation everything went pretty smoothly.

Also, the lady at the front desk, Kim, is very friendly and helpful. I recently bought a new Forester here back in June too, and now we are adding a cute Subaru Crosstrek to our family, along with our other Subaru (Legacy). Next time I am in the market for another car I will be making my way back to Mike Shaw Subaru! Thank you Austin, Dan, Kim, Frank, and also Justin, who has always been very kind and helpful.

I picked my car through the internet - let the sales person know i did not have hours to spend in a dealership, asked him what he needed to make sure the process would go fast, got him his items - came by monday to review the car to make sure it was what i wanted and left copies of our IDs, came back Wednesday to sign the paperwork and drive away. we spent maybe 30 minutes in the dealership, total. The sales guy, Timmy, respected my time, and the whole buying process was probably the best experience i have ever had. this is my fourth subaru - i bought three from a different dealer - and as long as i continue to get great service from Mike Shaw, i will most likely continue to buy from them.

I found myself in a bit of a pickle on the 23rd, my suv was hit over the week and no longer started. I needed another vehicle to commute. Found a really good used Impreza online and headed out. Tevon greeted as at the receptionist counter and worked tirelessly from that moment on. He worked with our schedule and our needs. Got our paperwork and deposit done quickly so I could get back to work that afternoon. It didn't stop there though, Tevon loaded up my new to me car, filled it with gas and delivered it to my house. I have never picked out my own car before, this was my first real dealership experience and it was amazing. Thank you so much for everything. I absolutely love my new Impreza and could not be happier.

Unfortunately my wife and I had a horrible buying experience at this dealer. We did a test drive of a new Subaru - OJ the salesperson (who was great, the only positive aspect of our experience with Mike Shaw) handled our visit. We came back a few days later to try to make a deal. We spent time re-looking at the vehicle and chatting with OJ. When it came time to negotiating we were clear with the dealer what we wanted with regards to the specific price (as we had a matching offer from another dealer) and package of the car. OJ had us sign on a piece of paper our offer (indicating our commitment if he could get that price/package) and we went back and forth several times during the negotiation over the extras.

After a few rounds of back and forth, the dealer sent in a higher manager to try to make the deal work and at this point he claimed that he couldn't even honor the price that was first offered to us, claiming somehow it was a "mistake". I showed him the several pieces of paper that we had been negotiating on with the price that we and the sales person had written down and how we got to that price. We even called the salesperson back into our conversation with this higher manager to verify that his first counter-offer was the price we had asked for. My wife and I made it very clear that if they could not get to our price that the additional negotiations were moot as we would go to the other dealer, yet at this point the manager only could say "sorry, I don't know how you got to that price and we can't honor it". Even after having the salesperson vouch for us that the price we talked about was his understanding with his earlier conversations with another manager, they refused to honor it and refused to own up to it other than a "sorry". My wife and I were beyond frustrated with the wasted time negotiating when Mike Shaw had no intent on honoring the price their own sales person counter offered us.

Instead, we left frustrated and feeling like they didn't care about honoring a negotiation process. We went down the street to Shortline Subaru who gave us the same car for the price we wanted and the extras requested. The process was simple, hassle free, and wasn't filled with the regular back and forth games that dealers try to play. Shortline honored everything they offered the first time. As such, I cannot endorse Mike Shaw and instead would point customers to go visit Tom at Shortline instead who took care of everything professionally and made car buying easy and enjoyable.

I only wish we could have made the deal happen. OJ at Mike Shaw is an exceptional sales person and we wanted to make the deal happen for him given the work he put into the process. Unfortunately he was hampered by his management instead. So two stars because OJ did treat us very well.

I got a call from one of the sales managers who called to apologize and listen to my experience. He assured me he would take my feedback, speak with his team, and bring this issue up with his management. I appreciated the gesture and hope for future customers these issues are addressed.

Jamie was so helpful. I talked with her on the phone before I got there and she had the car I was interested in clean and waiting for me to test drive. I felt a little uncertain about the purchase initially because I was in a hurry and didn't have a lot of time to think. She suggested I drive another vehicle as a comparison and it was really helpful. She was kind and encouraging and got me out the door quickly with ease. It was really the easiest car buying experience I have ever had.

After several recall notices via text and snail mail I received for my 2017 Subaru Forester, I finally called to schedule an appointment with Mike Shaw Subaru. Kathy Nerka was incredibly flexible with my schedule and made a point to inform me that my car would take a few hours. I scheduled my appointment for an 11am arrival, but ended up bringing it in much earlier at 8. I didn t feel I had inconvenienced anybody as the service team, especially Kathy and Jay Lazaro, made sure I was taken care of right away. It wasn t but ten minutes after I d left when I received a call from Kathy...which I honestly was anticipating. My car was a hot mess due to my putting things off because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Not only had I needed recall updates, but my car also needed an oil change, new tires and breaks. The service department was able to do it all!! That day!! When my car was returned to me later that evening it felt brand new. Of course, the car wash they provided helped too. It's always a great experience and I'm always SO well taken care of every time I stop in! Thank you everyone at Mike Shaw Subaru!!

Austin Elzinga was a huge help while my wife and I looked at some vehicles at Mike Shaw s.

Honestly, he was a breath of fresh air. We felt like he listened to all of our questions, no matter how trivial, and was very insightful. Best of all, it didn t feel like he was breathing down our necks. We could look at our leisure and get our questions answered, and do so while talking to a someone who could point us in the right direction.

We didn t end up getting a car in this visit, but you can bet we will be returning to Mike Shaw s, and specifically Austin Elzinga, shortly to close out our car shopping.

Cliff was awesome helping me out, there was some miscommunication between a different sales rep and I but Cliff made sure I was still happy. I got multiple quotes from other dealers and Mike Shaw Subaru agreed to match the lowest price I got. I was able to negotiate everything online and when I arrived
I just needed to sign then drive :) awesome wait time between departments too! They even offered us BBQ which was great.

After having a bad experience with another dealership service center, my boyfriend told me to just go to Mike Shaw, they are closer and have good reviews. They have been great! The first time I went, I had an appointment and was waiting for sometime. They really went above and beyond for me and made me feel like a valued customer (even though it was my first time there). Today I went back for my routine oil change and again, they went above and beyond. Everytime I pull into their bay, there is always someone smiling and waving. Very friendly environment. I will definitely be returning!

Update: mike shaw is the best!! After a switch went out in my car, making it very difficult to get my car out of park (and several lights appearing on my dash), I called them to get the switch. It was 30 minutes before they closed, and they held the part for me to grab. I changed the part out at the dealership and was on my way. I am so thankful and happy with the service I have received here.

Did a night drop for warranty work so when I was told my car was ready the next day I expected to be able to get it and leave within a few minutes. Not the case. I was waiting for 40 min before they brought my car out to me. At the very least, they could have told me there was a long wait so I could run a few errands or get some lunch. Communication so customers know what to expect is HIGHLY recommended. An apology would have been nice.

I LOVE THE COMPACT SOUND THE DOORS AND HATCH MAKE WHEN YOU SHUT THEM. I LOVE THE SMELL (OF COURSE). I LOVE HOW HIGH I SIT IN ANY SEAT. I CAN SEE OUT EVERY WINDOW, MINIMAL BLIND SPOT. (YES, I LOOK OVER MY SHOULDER) I CAN GET IN AND OUT OF THE CAR WITHOUT A STRUGGLE, AS CAN MY 82 YEAR OLD MOTHER. THE ENGINE IS CRAZY GOOD, NO SHIFT CHANGES, JUST SMOOTH!! I BELIEVE IT IS A BOXER ENGINE. DON'T QUOTE ME BUT IT IS VERY COOL!! I LOVE THE GAS MILEAGE. OMG!!! I GET 30 MPG IN AND AROUND THE CITY. ON ONE TANK OF GAS, IN AND AROUND THE CITY I GOT 447 MILES. My grip with Mike Shaw is their service department. I've tried to call numerous times, left numerous messages to schedule an appointment for some replacement keys and no one has called me back. I even used their online chat and they said service would call me and no call Their service is horrible. Due to the fact the keys need to be programmed you have to go through a dealership. I guess I m taking my business a little further to another dealership.

My experience at Mike Shaw Subaru was, by far, the best experience I have had buying a vehicle in 20 years of driving. Jamie Chu was knowledgeable, polite, and informative about all aspects of the vehicle, and financing.

Dan Pham and Brandon were very helpful managers, and Dan did a great job explaining the terms of the lease, and the comparison between leasing and purchasing.

I look forward to coming back to Mike Shaw at the end of the lease and trading - up.

Rude management. Came in just looking for a used veichle with no intention of purchasing today and they tried to push us into a new veichle that we knew we couldn't afford and then when the financing came back to confirm that fact the manager was rude and condensing. Even if I could buy a veichle today or any day, I would never buy from this dealership.

Terrible! Tried to charge me to remove parts to gain access to the faulty parts that may or may not be covered by warranty. Shouldn't the warranty cover all of the repair. If I get heart surgery they don't charge me seperately to cut my chest open then bill the insurance once the gain access to the insides and heart!

Then after service was done I found several parts not attached correctly which I corrected. Shouldn't have to do that since the receipt said there was a post repair inspection done! Stay away as they imply it's normal for this to happen and act confused as to what they should do to fix this. Accountability of your employees is a good start as leaving off the wrong bolt or part could seriously hurt or kill someone!!

Groove, Shortline, and Heuberger all have far superior sales and service without trying to take advantage of the customer! Mike Shaw Subaru is by far the worst subaru dealership in Denver. Drive the extra few miles to the other Subaru dealerships where they believe in customer service and customer satisfaction!

Had a great experience at Mike Shaw Subaru! We bought a new 2020 Subaru Ascent and couldn't be happier. I love this car!! Shane Monahan was awesome! Super friendly and took his time with us from the test drive all the way thru the purchase. Financing was awesome, as well. 0% for 72 months, can't beat that!! We never once felt like we were being "hood winked" in any way. We told them what we wanted in a car and the price range we had to work with and they delivered!

The most memorable part of this experience was when he said a prayer for me before I left, this meant a lot to me. Had a flat tire on my Impreza and needed help right away!. I called Mike Shaw to see if I could get in. I gave three stars versus one because they were able to get me in same day. I got a phone call about 30 minutes after I dropped off the car saying that I needed to replace all the tires. I understood why they needed to be replaced and approved the work.

Here is where I have a problem. Now the work is approved I know that I am spending $400.00 dollars on four tires instead of just the one. Tim the gentleman that got me all set up says he will be able to do an alignment for free. Made it sound like he was adding something at no additional cost. Turns out he used my one free alignment that comes with the warranty of my car. I have no problem with this if you tell me upfront about it but he did not. I think that it's completely unacceptable not to be upfront with your customer about the work being done to your car and how it's being paid for. I only found out that it was covered under warranty when he showed me the paperwork when I had to pay. This is a very shady practice!

To me I felt Tim didn't care also. As I was handing him my credit card he thought it was okay to say "I hate to give out bad news but it's part of my job." I provide a service for the job that I do. I don't go around adding to someones bad day by saying inconsiderate things like this. You build your customer up know that they are paying about $300.00 more then what they intended to spend in the first place. I am not sure anyone who has a tight budget is laughing at that.

Anyway simply put I put trust and faith in Mike Shaw to take care of me and be a business who can be honest and upfront with me. I am not sure it's fair to say that one person is a exact representation of the way this business runs but what I can tell you is it's going to be a while before I go back to this place, if at all.

Jamie Chu really helped us out! Bought the new Outback, and she ensured we got a fair price for the new car and on my trade-in, and stayed late to help us. She even made sure to walk us over to service to meet the people who will help us through our warranty. Anthony also was very helpful with selecting warranty coverage, and remembered us each time we went back to pick up the car, purchase accessories, etc. Friendly and fair staff.

Her knowledge of the cars in the lot, her consideration of my purchase parameters, and willingness to work with me with negotiations of the car, were second to none. Terrible. I had my car towed here on a Sunday and...

Terrible. I had my car towed here on a Sunday and had to call at 10a on Monday after not hearing a word from them. My car didn t even make it into the bay for about four days. They acted like I asked for their first born child when I assumed a loaner vehicle was in play.

It took over a week to get my keys and the part installed, but I did receive a sales call before my car was fixed to add on $600 of parts just in case and I, of course said no.

Turned in my loaner car and they tried to hold me responsible for the cracked windshield, which they told me was precision when I got into the car in the first place. I showed up to pay for the service and the routine maintenance I requested both when I picked up my loaner and on the initial phone call I had with them.

Then they told me they could do the oil change and tire rotation for free with the inclusion of a $150 fuel injection service, which is well over twice the price that particular service is anywhere else.

Autonation was happy to help me today with better, efficient service. This is a subpar dealership compared to the ones I have been to.

For weeks I was looking for an old used car at local dealers. I was feeling like a clueless first-time car shopper. Then ran into some issues with high interest rates as a first time buyer, recent graduate, new to my job, and new to the area - it was more a painful process-until yesterday when I walked into Mike Shaw Subaru. I got paired with Keith. He answered all my questions, made me feel like he wasn't trying to sell me any car just for numbers - he worked very hard to work with my needs and my budget. He ultimately paired with a '15 Subaru Impreza sport that had what I wanted and more. He even went above and beyond, simultaneously helping me call insurance companies - seriously, this guy is here to help you! I went in and left by the end of the night with a perfect car I'm happy to invest in and can afford. I am so happy I walked in and even more grateful I got paired with Mr. Keith Traczynski!! Ask for Keith-the best personality and sales person there!

This review is for the service department only. My heater smelled like burning rubber so I took here to have it looked at. Service department stated it was caused by both front axle inner boots torn and leaking onto the exhaust. They quoted me $600 to fix. I declined and took it to an independent ASE mechanic who looked at it, found the same issue and then charged me $260 to fix. I expect a markup on services at a dealership...but a $340 markup seems overly excessive. The staff was nice and I would go back to purchase a vehicle but I think I'm done using their service department.

I had an appointment at 11:30 and got there 5 minutes early. The technician said that he would call me when my car was ready because I was killing time in the area since I don't live nearby. I called twice after it had been an hour and a half to check the status of my oil change and never got through to the service department. So then I decided to come back and check in person. When I walked in no one greeted me for several minutes. Finally someone helped and let me know that my car was next in line even though by then it had been 2 hours since my appointment. Not only were they rude, but this wasted my entire day and no one offered an apology for the lack of communication and the mismanagement of time. Highly unprofessional and I will not be coming back to this service department again.

They used to be good but recently fixed a problem with my Subaru. Before I left the lot I found the problem to still exist. It turns out they fixed something that wasn t broken, charged me for it, and failed to properly test the vehicle to check their work. They gave me a refund...followed by an estimate for 5x what I already paid to fix the real problem. Yes, they turned a mistake into a sales pitch. That s when I left forever. Anyway, I got the repair done over at Super Repair with OEM parts for $1,100.00 less! As one of the very few Subaru dealerships in the Denver area, my review isn t going to hurt their business, but I ll be going to another state to buy my new Subaru, as there is little wiggle room to negotiate in a place where Subaru s sell themselves and sales people almost aren t necessary. Last time I got the dealer to pay for my tax, title, license, and moon roof. Even the finance manager took a cut. WAY better deals are out there, and SUPER WAY better mechanics exist locally and for a fraction of the cost. If you want to pay top dollar for maybe having your car fixed, or if you want a terrible deal on a new car, go to Mike Shaw. If you don t want those things, go somewhere else...anywhere else.

I bought a 2003 subaru forester from mike shaw subaru for 6900 OTD. They fixed the Head gaskets and a few other minor things and 29 days later the transmission went out. I had it towed back to mike shaw and they quoted me 4000$ and change. I went in to see if they would take it back and they said and I quote, "why would we want a car with a bad transmission" ... Your telling me... well they offered me 1000$ for the car as a trade in, a car I bought from them not more than a month later. I said is the 7 grand I spent on this car worth me telling all my friends about this experience and losing out my future business. They apparently felt it was. I know that the car was a used as is but the honest thing to do as a company would be to take the car back and make sure the customer is happy. I had them put a battery in the car and drove it off the lot with it not coming out of second gear. I WILL NEVER go back to mike shaw and all used car buyers should beware that they sell lemons at quick turn. Oh I forgot the best part. The alternator went out two months after I got the car and sure I figured this was pretty standard for a car with 170k miles. I brought it in to get fixed and the guys looks at me like im an idiot and says son, you know there isnt any oil in this car. There ended up being 2 quarts of oil left in the car, and I just laughed. There is only two explanations for something like this; first, the car burns oil or second, they never even took the time to look under the hood. Well after the oil change and a week later the oil level is fine. This means They had the car in there possession for a total of 8 days and never checked the oil? Tell me mike shaw, do you think you treated me fairly?

I brought my 2014 outback in for service and as always was greeted by smiling, professional service advisors. All the service advisors make the effort to know their customers and make you feel like more than just an appointment time. I worked with Tim Dreger on this occasion and was extremely happy with the service. Tim is very personable and professional and as do all the advisors, he really takes the time to get to know his customers and interact with them on a very personal level. If you are looking for a great service experience, go to Mike Shaw. Tim will treat you right.

This will be my fifth (yes, FIFTH) time going into Mike Shaw for the SAME issue. I ve been promised every time I bring it in that they found the issue and it has been fixed. Appreciate the customer service but at this point I need my car fixed. Within one week of the the promised fix I experienced the same oil leak from the same area 4 times in a row.

I just purchased a WRX from Mike Shaw Subaru. Top notch service! I traveled from out of state to buy the vehicle and the staff stayed well after business hours to complete the transaction. My salesman James Marlin, went out of his way to make it a pleasant experience. He even called the next day to see if I had any questions on the vehicles functions. From the salespeople to the finance office, I felt like I was being treated fairly. This was definitely the best car buying experience I have had. Great service! King was prompt in responding to my initial request for more information/ viewing the vehicle. When I showed up, King had the car up front and ready for me to test drive. He worked with me and listened to me when I told him what my budget for a monthly payment was, and was very helpful. The dealership took exactly what I was hoping for for my trade, which made me very happy. Alex helped me pick out a package for the new vehicle that I felt comfortable with and did not up my monthly payments by that much, and kept them in a budget I am happy with. Both King and Alex have followed up after the purchase of the vehicle. I knew I wanted to leave with a new car that day, I wasn't 100% of it would be that one, but it was! The car itself is AMAZING and the people who helped me purchase it were just as great!

I was informed that there was a recall for my airbag. I first called another closer to home dealer in Golden, but they were awful to deal with from the first moment so i called Mike Shaw instead. They had the part in stock & got me taken care of. They were quick, efficient, courteous, clean, easy to deal with. And, they went ABOVE AND BEYOND, by checking a bunch of other stuff & even washing my car! Holy Cow! I totally recommend them and will definitely be back when i need service. Thank You Mike Shaw!
