It was around the time for my maintenance visit and after leaving I noticed that the tire pressure light turned on. I then took my car back to the dealer and they without hesitation checked on everything. I left again and the same thing happened again. This was all on a Saturday. I chose to not go back to the dealer until Monday and Cindy handled the problem, giving me a very nice rental until everything with my car was handled. I have literally nothing bad to say about this dealer. I believe that is the price of going to a franchise. I can honestly say I trust them and know that they have my best interest. I am young and never once have felt overwhelmed or confused about anything. In general they are great people.

Just purchased a new cavalry blue, TRD Pro 4runner, a few days ago. I have to say, the salesperson, Dwayne Willix, was exceptional. He answered all our questions, with honesty, and that goes a long way. The finance department was quick and painless, very courteous and professional. Andy Lawhon is the main reason this is our second purchase from Mike Johnson, and I will return again. The only complaint I have is, the dealer showroom AC was out of service, at the time, but Andy was nice to turn a fan on us. The deal we got, far outweighed the warmth in the showroom.

Pete Ballard, salesman was so easy to work with, no pressure, one of the best Auto buying experiences to date and this makes the 8th Toyota in my family fleet. Anthony did the docs and also a great experience. Not sure how they do the hiring of staff but they definitely hire the right people. I met a saleswomen names Samantha Fox, She greeted and showed genuine interest in me as a person not as a protentional buyer. She listen to what my interstress where and showed me a few vehicles that would meet on what I was looking for. She did not push any one type of vehicle or try to push a sale. I went back to Mike's July 31st, 2020 to trade in my 2018 Camry for a brand new one. I received an email stating they wanted the trade and would put me in a new vehicle for "around the same payment or less". Being I had already put 51k miles on the Camry and the sensors were out of warranty I figured, "why not".
Gus was not the Finance guy like 2 years ago but the gentleman there now (sorry don't know name) I don't have any complaints or notable comments to add.
My sales guy Dwayne Willex was nice but things were unorganized. I had already had my credit ran to have all the financials worked out BEFORE I got there. I had an appointment and was still there for 4 hours because Dwayne had other customers at the same time, some of which just showed up without notice. I think I should have been a priority being I had an appointment. The only other issue I had with Dwayne was that he was supposed to get back to me about lights under the car my 2018 came with that the 2020 didn't, he mentioned they can put them on, and he was supposed to get me a quote. I never had back from him. Those were the only two things I was annoyed about with Dwayne. Otherwise he did converse with me while I waited, he brought me a cold bottle of water to drink, he even went back through my traded Camry and saw I left some items in it and got them for me. I'm just going to be honest in my review.
Now the real reason for this review update. Saturday night I was driving down a rural road and my front tire went flat. I dinged the roadside assistance button in the car (called the SOS button). The roadside guy who came out told me that being my car was new the tires were probably still under warranty. Which I was never told about but also I never had a flat tire either. The thought of an unexpected $250 tire was stressful to say the least and it was a Holiday weekend so no answers were given until Tuesday morning when it was confirmed they will replace the tire at no cost to me. This made me STUPID amounts of happy!! But being I had the car for only a month and there was defect in the tire, it is kinda what they should have done anyway for me as a repeat Customer or even first time Customer. The real pat on the back came when they did not have my particular tire in stock. I had that stupid donut spare on my car for 3 days already and it was anxiety nation while having to drive on it being the car sounded and looked trashy with it. I didn't feel safe with it either. So I was told they could order the tire and have it the next day. I explained that meant I had to drive home from work, take my son to the daycare in the morning, drive to work, drive back to daycare after work and drive all the way to Hickory (30 miles) on the spare that I have had on for 3 days already that says "not to be used for more than 75 miles or over 50mph". I then asked if they could take a tire from one the other Camry's on the lot to put on mine so I didn't have to wait. Chelsea in Service said in her time there that never happened. I asked Chelsea, "fair enough, but has anyone ever asked" to which she did not know. Chelsea put me on a brief hold and spoke to the General Manager (Do not know the name again-but what a SUPER GREAT GUY) and that's exactly what they did. That deserves all the Oooohs and ahhhhhhhhhs because that shows how important a Customer is to Mike's Toyota even AFTER a sale. I have heard people say they had a bad experience at Mike's but I tell them my experience, truthfully if there is a bad experience to have, I usually do, but Mike's Toyota is just the greatest place to buy your vehicle from and I will continue to have them be my and my loved ones choice to buy a vehicle. I took my car in for the 30,000 mile check up. They were courteous and quick to check me in. They did a good job and took care of what needed to be done. It did not take too long to service the vehicle. I was able to leave my car to go shopping with a friend and come back to pick up my car. Checking out was easy and the service guy went over suggested future service and thanked me. He walked me to my car and I was finished. It was all easy and good. I will go back for future service.

Went to Mike Johnson's Hickory Toyota to look at a truck they were advertising on the Internet...They said the truck was sold...but..they had one similar...I asked how much?...they would not tell me...they asked me to test drive, I agreed...After test drive, I asked how much?...they would not tell me...they asked me to come inside and talk to them, I agreed...they asked to do a credit check and trade in for my vehicle...I agreed...after two hours of stalling and the run around...not to mention running a credit check...they came back and said the vehicle that I test drove and was talking to them about was just SOLD to someone else...I have owned 5 Toyotas and lived in Hickory all my life...never bought a one in Hickory...and after that dog and pony show...Im sure I never will...Mike Johnson's Toyota of Hickory is the worst dealership I have ever worked with....and would not recommend to anyone...

This is my favorite place to buy a car! I have had toyotas since 1983 and they are the best cars we have owned. I wasn't expecting to buy a car but am so glad I did. I am so happy with my Rav4. This was my 2nd time working with Pat Avery and it was a wonderful experience. She helped me get into a car that I really wanted and I didn't have to settle for a car I didn't want. All the employees were so nice and helpful there. I just love visiting that place. The building is so big and love the service department. I will definitely buy my next car from Pat Avery!!!

I have a Toyota Tacoma (which I love) but unfortunately it was part of the recall on the rear leaf springs. I tried several times getting them replaced and was told they weren't in stock and someone would call me back, which never happened. I called a few weeks ago and was lucky enough to talk to an assistant manager, Randy Quinn, who told me I would deal with him directly from here on out. Took my truck to the dealership the next day. He gave me a very nice loaner vehicle and had my truck fixed in two days (note that it was new years and the business was closed the following day). Randy was great to work with and showed me great customer service. Because of him my next truck will come from Hickory Toyota!

I was locked out of my car and it had to be towed to Mike Johnson to let me in to it. When I arrived I told them I thought it may be the fob that wasn't working they were very understanding and said they would check that first. This was the problem. The service was given in a reasonable amount of time and I was not told I needed any addtional services. I was leaving town and needed to get on the road so they fixed in a timely fashion to help me.
The car was my husband's and I drove very little and was not familiar with how systems worked. When I picked up the car the young gentleman who helped me took the time to show me how to operate the cruise control and sound system. He asked if there was anything else he could show to me on the operation of the vehicle. I was never rushed to leave so they could get to the next person.
I couldn't have been more pleased with the service.

While the salesman was haggling with his manager to get me the best price I looked on their website. I got the same vehicle for $5000 less than the salesman by clicking one button. He told me I was getting the best possible deal several times, even made it out like the dealership was losing money on the price he got for me. When I showed him the price their website gave me he had nothing to say. Salesmen like this are why people don t like buying cars. If I could give less than 1 star I would.

Our car broke down as we traveled through hickory on vacation. Unfortunately it couldn't be fixed right away. This dealership not only had a decent place to wait while they looked our car over (with a place to sit, charge our phone, my kid to play with toys, free popcorn/drinks, and even a full service grill for lunch!), but when it became obvious we would not be able to leave with our vehicle, we were able to work out a rental so we could continue our vacation. I am very thankful for their service. 10/10 customer service from everyone.

I don't like being charged for an oil change when we had an agreement once we purchased the vehicle that maintenance would be done for free. So when the oil change light came on at around 5000 miles, which is typical, I wanted to get the oil changed. But I was told that I would have to pay for the oil change because the free oil changes were set up every 10,000 miles because synthetic oil is used in the vehicle. I had no knowledge that the oil changes were not done every 5000 miles and there has been no communication since the purchase to that effect. I'm not a happy customer because of this situation and I hope Mike Johnson reads this message from a disgruntled customer!!!!

We bought our 2010 Toyota Corolla from them brand new and have not been disappointed. Great driving compact car that gets good gas mileage. I had an issue with a charge that was supposed to be under warranty. My girlfriend had taken my vehicle down for its service so I didn t see the charge until I was reading my receipt later. I spoke with Tabitha in the Service Dept and she was very quick to handle the situation and get me a refund. Bear in mind this is the only issue I ve had in two years of dealing with MJHT. So on the very rare occasion you have an issue, they are quick to resolve it!
