One of my favorite hotels on the strip. Personally have not stayed a night, but amenities offered I always enjoy. Bonus for proximity to other spots within walking distance to places on the strip.

The sum of it's parts isn't as good as the parts, themselves. Rooms in Grand tower are really dark (3 lightbulbs for a huge room) but well tended and the conference center (first rate, btw) is a very long walk from the rooms. Ground floor layout causes pedestrian traffic jams. Tower elevators resist reading room card, so you'll blast past your floor pretty regularly. Perfectly fine, but has the parts to be great with some work.
Microwaves or Refrigerators are not available for the room, forced me to constantly fill a bucket of ice to keep my food from going bad. I'd rather stay in a motel then deal with this again.
The MGM is a great Casino Resort to visit when in Las Vegas. There is always a great variety of things to do when at the hotel. If you're looking for an exciting time this is the place to be. There is no Arcade Bowling as well as events always on Deck. Great location. Very reasonable as well.
This was my first time in Vegas. Can't say I'd stay here again. It was okay but now that I've had some time to look around, I'll probably stay at another more centrally located hotel. Benefits of the Grand include close proximity to the airport (2 miles away) and the Monorail. Never found the fitness center although I paid for it with mandatory resort fees. I loved the shower but the bathroom was weird because it had no door. I was encouraged to bolt the door so cleaning staff wouldn't walk in on me. I was surprised at how good the drinking water was. Didn't like the fact there was no refrigerator or microwave in the room. Oh, there is no view in the West wing. I guess you get what you pay for. Moving forward. There's always next time.
Playing machine slots is addictive. But the place is different from other hotels due to its dark atmosphere. When you go out of the building you feel like a vampire
Great time as always. Wish the lifeguard's at the pool were a little more attentive. Most were great and helpful but two really looked like they zoned out. Overall we had a great time
Whenever we are at the pool or beach we don't rely on lifeguard's to watch our kids. With the amount of drinking going on I think the lifeguard's were more important for the adults. The kids were good to go. MGM is always fun. Another great visit to the MGM pool.
The MGM Grand is a great hotel, with a great casino, shows and buffet. Level Up bar is a great place to unwind and have some fun. Karaoke on Mondays is the best, definitely guarantee it.
First time staying on the strip. Nice hotel, nice pool, beautiful room, competant staff. Great location. Would stay again, but everything is premium Vegas pricing. Bring your own pool float, the ones they rent are expensive. Really wish they would provide them at no cost given the high resort fee. Parking was $15 per day but got you into any M life parking lot on the strip for no additional charge when you scan your room key. All in all I would recommend it, but not giving 5 stars because we have stayed at nicer resorts for less money. We are not much into gambling but enjoy the shows restaurants and entertainment in the area.
The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable. There was a mini refrigerator full of their products to sell as well as a note saying that there would be a $50 fee if you put any of your items in there. They were willing to rent me one for $30 per day. There was no microwave. I tried calling the front desk many times and only got a busy signal. I tried calling the concierge and got the same busy signal. Nobody cleaned up the empty beer cans around the Lazy River until the end of the day and it looked very cluttered. I got a frozen margarita at the pool. It was about 24 oz and didn't taste very good and it was $24.....but the good news was that refills would only be 19.99. I passed on the refills. I probably won't ever go back to Vegas but if I do, I will stay somewhere else.
Very well maintained with lots of free parking. Casino is very nice and employees are friendly and helpful. They have a Virtual Reality Gaming Area that looked like fun and big too! Great restaurants and bars.
Check-in was quick and uneventful. Our room was located in their West wing. Walking down the hall to reach our room we could see that almost none of the rooms had good seals with their frames. The rooms was mostly ok, though it was missing a method to keep leftovers cool. The sink in the restroom looked like at some point someone wanted to do something nice with the room but stopped at the begginning. There was a hole in the wall above the sink. The shower was so poorly designed that water leaked all over the restroom and even out into the entry hallway to the room. Will not be returning.
I nearly forgot that they also saw fit to replace the door to the restroom with a translucent glass door on very loud rollers, so if the light coming through the door doesn t wake your partner, the ridiculously loud sound of the door rolling will ensure that even your neighbors will hear you.
We just stayed 3 nights here. This used to be our favorite place to stay on the strip. We tried several other hotels and decided out of all of them we love MGM the best. We have decided that this is where we will always stay in the future (at least twice a year). Clean, nice rooms. Great bars. Casino very clean and large. Shops and restaurants are excellent. The pool area is huge and you have several choices, including "adult only". Brad Garrett's Comedy Club in the "Underground" is more than worth the price of admission. Great comedians. Try to attend when Brad is in town.
Every thing is nice and clean How ever all amenities have been stripped from rooms no fridges no micro, no coffee pot not even a way too heat water for tea theirs not even a drinking fountain in the whole place. I m assuming too get you to buy from their retailers. Biggest disappointment is no laundry room you have too pay housekeeping to launder your stuff and it s pay by the piece. Kinda sad for the money you pay too stay here.
I absolutely love this hotel!!!!!!! Love love love!! I always recommend people to stay here. The rooms are great, staff is great, they have everything you need from shops to restaurants. The pool is great as well (love the lazy river). This hotel is my go to spot!
Amazing Place to visit and enjoy. We had our national convention opening event here last night and the atmosphere is Top Level. There is so much to do within this hotel, that there is no need to go anywhere else. Love it here!
What an amazing place. Much more than expected total value for price. Rooms are big and comfortable. Right on the Vegas strip with plenty dining and shopping options around
I was very surprised not to receive great service at the Buffet, l asked for water and the waitress pointed to the drink area and said you can go get it over there and l asked for coffee she said you can also get it there?? What kind of service is that?? I'm used to the waitstaff bringing me refills but I was choking and had to go get my own water, that's not good service at all!! I guess if l would've collapsed she would've just walked away or pointed to someone else, that's not 5 service I'm used too and I'll be letting my Travel club know about the bad service!! Oh and another thing l found out military get a discount and when I asked about l was told the computers were down how convenient for them!!
Excellent resort. Lots of eating, drinking, gambling and shopping options. Staff is helpful and courteous. Lots of smoke in the gambling areas, as most casinos(beware families with young kids). Overall an incredible experience if you dont mind the smoking.
I was here for a convention, had a wonderful time, lots of great dinning and shopping. The food court has all of the good fast food choices, can get busy when there is a convention, also there a couple of Starbucks to fuel up at. The casino is huge and also has a large sports area, and a couple of good bars throughout the casino. Connected to the other resorts near the MGM as well, have access to 6 other resorts only a 10 or 20 min walk. Great place to be when in Vegas!
Just walked in and talked to the lady at the front desk and was quoted a price of $449 checking in the 17th leaving the 19th. Told the lady I had to run out and talk to my wife. Came back in there was another lady at the desk. She quoted me at 650.... 200 more then the other lady 5 min earlier. I asked for the lady that gave me the better quote and was told she was on lunch. I asked for management and was told he wasn't sure what the other quote was but had to go with the new lady cause thats who was checking me in..i left..
Always a good time at this Hotel. The dance Club they have isn t the best but with MGM being so centralize you really can t go wrong. Too Golf is a must.
The hotel is a little old. The green color makes it very distinctive. They have one of the best clubs in Hakkasan, some really good restaurants and Cirque Due Soleil on premises. The only problem I have with it is that the casino smells of smoke and considering you have to pass through it everytime to anywhere it can give you a headache if you don't smoke.
Again their on my birthday zero perks. Also because I paid the deposit in cash I was denied the 30.00 credit my mlife reward card assured me was a part of my package. I was treated like a second rate person.
Been to WAY BETTER hotels on Las Vegas Strip for better rates. Choose another hotel. I decided to try the Mobil Check In to avoid the ridiculous long line, BIG MISTAKE. When I went to their website, it said my room was ready, HOWEVER, when I signed up to get my mobile key , they said they would send me a notification when my room was ready. Now, that was DISAPPOINTING, but it was 12pm, so I didn t complain, I waited and waited, finally it was 5pm, but still NO NOTIFICATION, so I went to the front desk and they gave me my key and room number. When I got to my room, I was FACING THE ROOF. I paid almost $1,000 to view the roof. Not worth it all.
Only walked through to catch some of the g- league Knicks game. Nice viewing area, it was peaceful but coming from California the cigarette smoke was a killer. Yes I know this is Vegas but offer atleast a small area for non-smokers. All in all it was a nice experience.
Great atmosphere... awesome facilities...close enough to the strip to enjoy all the excitement...far enough away to relax. No casinos at this hotel -- just quaint eateries, shops, spas all in a luxurious setting
On the upside it's huge, which means lots of restaurant and bar options, a sprawling (sometimes disorienting) gaming floor, and the ability to accommodate very large groups. The staff is generally very friendly, the concierge is amazing, and the location is convenient for exploring the strip. On site they have a Top Golf, a Cirque show, a hip-hop dance show, a solid comedy club, as well as a popular night club.
On the downside it's pretty old. The rooms could use some updating, hot water for baths/showers is a luxury (I took multiple Luke warm showers because the water never got hot), the AC doesn't keep the rooms very cold. The maintenance staff are either very slow or extremely over worked. It took them over two days to send someone to my room to fix a malfunctioning television. Considering the size of the property, the on-site shopping is very limited, not to mention seriously overpriced.
Depending on what you are looking for, you may consider these other properties instead... The Mirage: part of the MGM family, recently renovated rooms, reasonable prices, big enough but not too big. Caesars Palace: Giant property, lots of great shopping and dining options, amazing showroom, upgraded rooms. The Cosmopolitan: affiliated with Marriott, rooms with actual usable balconies, smaller more intimate feel, great rewards program, great restaurants, awesome intimate venue for concerts.
We just checked into MGM Grand and our room (11-544) is horrible!! We are here celebrating our 20 years anniversary and we made a HUGE mistake by booking a room at MGM. It straight up smells like a sewer in here. The front desk won't do anything about it except offer to send someone up to clean the carpets. Really!! We will never come back here ever again. Nice way to start what is supposed to be an enjoyable, loving night in a decent hotel. This place is a dump and staff are horrible!
Smokey. In this day and age where smoking in public places has mostly been banned, it is very disappointing that smoking is still allowed here. When walking through the lobby and downstairs expect to breathe in a considerable amount of second hand smoke.
We arrived and found out there's a difference between MGM Grand main building and west wing. We are staying in the 500 rooms, which is pretty awful. The room is small, you walk in right into the bathroom, sink space is tiny... And there is no view. The window is obstructed by the bed. Even our receptionist hinted on this by suggesting we book the main building next time. How would we know when we booked this? Will never stay at MGM Grand again. Other hotels with compatible price five you so much better rooms. You won't get the Vegas experience here. I'm giving it two stats because the pool area is nice but sadly the floating river is closed when we arrived.
MGM grand has very nice employees that treat everyone well. I stayed for two nights with VIP access and really enjoyed my stay. I highly recommend choosing VIP (skip the check in line and also get free drinks and treats in the VIP lounge).
Love the MGM second time staying here all was great when we stayed a week. This stay was four days the sink had a very bad smell and slow drainage. The shower the tub was on full before the water gets hot my husband accepts all didn't want mr to call the front desk to complain. Other than that all was GREAT love everything about MGM!
The Grand King Strip Room on the website is quite deceiving. Room is small and smells like smoke and the view of the strip is barely that looking through a dirty window also. Not what we expected at all.
Everything was perfect for our stay! Our room was comfortable and had a decent view of the strip (we stayed in a grand queen room). The location on the strip is pretty good, depending on where you re trying to go (really close to Planet Hollywood, New York New York, Aria, etc., but not too far away from everything). The pool and lazy river are amazing, and we loved the variety of bars/food in the resort. Very friendly front desk staff made check-in a breeze, and overall we didn t meet one staff member that wasn t friendly and helpful! This is the perfect place to stay if you re looking for good quality without completely breaking the bank. The only things I didn t like were the amount of smoke in the casino (a tough thing to avoid in Vegas but seemed like more than other casinos nearby), and there wasn t a microwave or fridge in the room. It wasn t really a serious issue for us, but I can see how it might be for some. Overall, I highly recommend for anyone staying in Vegas!
A $41+ resort fee on top of high room and food prices to stay in a nice resort hotel themed around the Wizard of Oz or at least was initially planned that way. Starbucks stores throughout and I recommend mobile check in long before you arrive. This can speed up your check in significantly. Overall, a good place to experience. Many restaurant choices :) 3 stars because check in process was poor and room keys kept failing, which required trips to wait in line to get fixed. I was actually told NOT to approach counter to fix key, but to take my place in line AGAIN.
We booked a room in may for cowboy Christmas They gave us the worst room I ve ever seen. Motel 6 would have been better and cleaner. We complained and they said they have a room but it will be $20.00 more a night, really? What a crock. We also had a $50.00 food credit per day and when I ask at the information desk I was told that included room service, guess what? It doesn t, found that out when we checked out. This place has really gone downhill Will never stay there again
Rooms showing wear. Peeling wallpaper, leather office chair had holes, bathroom only moderately clean. Definitely needs an upgrade. Check in staff and luggage storage staff were rude for the most part. We asked for an extra blanket and took 4 phone calls. Also, staff at pool made up rules regarding bringing drinks inside. Was decent but probably will stay elsewhere on my next visit.
Rockin Roll this places has it all you can never go wrong here. From a nice sized poker room to some of the best shows in Vegas. Top notch Hotel and casino on the south strip.
Had a 4 night stay. Overall the hotel was nice. Unfortunately not everything was opened because of covid, but we made the best of it. We enjoyed the lazy river the most. Drink prices are a bit ridiculous. Slots paid out a bit better towards the evening.
Not enough options to eat during night hours,we were vampires while in vegas so we resorted to room service ,which I'm sure its part of their brilliant plan along with it being ala cart $$$$ . The food was very delicious Everything else was great, the entire staff was very freindly and helpful.
My room was really clean , personal were very helpful and friendly. It was a wonderful experience. Got to meet and see the boxers who are fighting this Saturday too .
