The MGM Grand in Las Vegas is a huge Hotel and Casino. It is located at the southern end of the monorail. During my visit, all the employees we're very cordial and helpful. And there are wide variety o f specialty shops and restaurants scattered throughout.

Really efficient check-in process. Room was spacious and spotless. View - its Vegas, baby!!! Lots of dining choices. Tables were empty early in the morning, but get very busy later in the evening.
Nice place to stay and had a nice room but you couldn't get in the pool half the time because of the certain amount of people allowed and there were no shows to see. We had to walk a long way to get to the pool, about a 15 min walk. If you decide to go there, ask for a room close to the pool.
Horrible lady tried to check me in on mobile app and didn't know how to then she helped me get a room and booked it for the wrong date I was tired and trying to get in bed and gave up turned around and went home instead.
Great hotel! Rooms were very well maintained. Desk Staff was welcoming and professional. The beginning and end of the monorail line which makes it very easy to get around town especially if you are working at the convention center.
Went to the MGM Grand Buffet. Excellent food. Crab legs were cooked awesomely and not until you wanted. Salads were fresh. The sushi was heavenly. Love this buffet. Our server Elmo was so nice and made sure we had everything we needed before we even knew we needed it
Resort does a good job with implementing and enforcing masks and social distancing - rooms were clean and well appointed gor our needs. Pool and lazy river access was a bit unorganized and security enforcement was inconsistent - regardless, we enjoyed the water and time together.
The low rating is for the "air quality" on our non-smoking floor and the areas immediately surrounding the resort - main entrances as well as parking garage. With marijuana legal in NV, it is smoked almost to excess and pungent in the air. Tough to enjoy a walk on the Strip with family and friends when the air quality is subject. Just not our thing and a reason we will not likely return.
The design of the building makes it super easy to get from parking lot to check in counter. It's also super easy to get from check in counter to the elevators and to the room. Super clean and quiet.
Beautiful and amazing! Very very Grand. The name definitely fits. We stayed here for 4 nights last week and everything was incredible! It was my husband's birthday and our anniversary so they upgraded us to a bigger room with over 200 more square feet in it. Also she worked with me on the security deposit. I asked her to turn off room emneties and she only charged me $204 deposit instead of the normal 400. I had called ahead and spoken to two very rude people before checking in. But the gal that I spoke with to check me in her name is Leilani she was amazing! A bit of advice is just down the road at Ellis Island they have amazing breakfast and lunch specials! We got chicken and waffles which was amazing I think it was like $6.99? They also have a steak and eggs option which was glorious! And I would say that also was $6.99.
It is dated and beginning to show it. I stayed in a Sleepwell room but it wasn't worth the upcharge. There are MANY newer and frankly nicer options in Vegas nowadays.
Great trip great food, but being followed and harrassed by television city employees with fliers and attitudes did not make my first experience at MGM great. Avoid the blue shirts.
Our company stayed at the signature towers at the MGM grand. The rooms were large and comfortable with great views. It is also conveniently located next to top golf which was a blast and you can walk to the MGM thru the signature hallways.
Here is how i rate my experience: cleanliness (10/10) - Staff (10/10) - Snack and other prices (4/10) - automated system for check in and check out (9/10) - Gym (8/10) The green projector lights will be bothering those people who want to sleep early and need a dark room - they have 2 shades but no dark curtains.
The price for SPA was high. They should reduce that. It's not included in resort fees.
I've had varied experiences at staying here over the years. I've had some rooms that were just out of this world, and I was fortunate enough to stay on one of the Terrace suites with so far has been my favorite room in Las Vegas. However I've also stayed in her room that look like a jail cell and I would not recommend to my worst enemy. I guess honestly it's Vegas and you can be as amazing as you want as long as you're willing to put up the money
Stayed here for a couple nights to celebrate my birthday. The hotel was nice and clean. Access to pretty much anything was available in the hotel. Since it's located on the strip, it's also walking distance to other attractions.
Changed my mind the second I entered. Close to the monorail. Great casino. Hakkasan club is banging or lit or what ever the new term for cool is. Serious contender for my next stay
I very rarely leave a review. There are always people who have to just complain. I am not one of those people. I really dont like to complain, however I do like to help inform others. When we arrived we were asked if we had a preference in a room location which we really didn't. However once we got to our room, the only view we have is of the roof and walls. Which. When you come to Vegas you would like a view of something. So, if you would like a view other than a roof, you should specify.
Still one of the greatest restaurants on the strip. Watched the Comedy Show and it was surprisingly really good. The show was worth of the price of admission and the drinks inside were nice and strong. Haha. The drinks at the bar next to the lobby... not so much. Might come back if I can see the comedy show again.
AC was not working in the room. Once claim was placed, maintenance never assisted. At 11 pm, we were barely checking in into another room. Staff was not friendly or kind. Parking is complicated and long ways to room tower. Majority, if not all, food places closed. Gaming was poor. Bell desk was the only department who were kind and helpful.
Ok, $59 room with a $39 resort fee is exactly what you think it is. Just a room, no real frills, no view, and the A/C barely kept the room cool enough to sleep. It's what I expected though. I was here for the food and a place to get away. Digital room key was nice, but a bit glitchy. Just know what you're booking.
I like the MGM because it still has an old feel to it even though the inside is updated. Great shows while I was there, good places to eat and shopping is adequate. Everyone was extremely friendly and the people at my craps table were awesome. They were sociable, helped us understand the game without interrupting the flow and made us feel as home. It is also close to the monorail, so staying further down the strip isn't an issue.
Always a true vibe of relaxation when ever I hit any of the MGM properties. Staff is great as well as the services. Not a bad resort to do some gambling as well. The rooms are spacious and spotless.
huge casino and hotel. we were in a "stay well" room. its a bit of a walk from self park to the room. if you stay there my one piece of advice is, if you have a difficult time walking as I do, ask for a room near but not next to the elevator. the halls are longggg.
They have "handicap accessible" rooms but they don't seem to grasp the concept of fully handicap accessible. The roll in shower is so small, you cannot get a wheelchair in there. Also, everything just general smells off on every floor, since they're trying to cover up the gargantuan amount of cigarette smoke.
We paid a much cheaper price due to checking in on new years day so this was a deal. Had a comfy sleep however room seemed a bit dated (wallpaper peeling). Had to turn all the side lights on to get even the slightest amount of light. Had to ask for our shower to be cleaned as there was hair all in the plug.
An easy A+. Exceptional service, both inside and out. Beautiful architecture, fun games, and adult activities, except for the little ones, you'll have to take your toddlers elsewhere for fun stuff. But it's Vegas. The staff can recommend things to do for those with little ones.
Obviously this place is pretty Grand. It has everything every other hotel has, but I'd have to say, its pool is the best I've seen so far. The price isn't the cheapest, but we did manage to stay 4 nights for about $760. If you're not here for specific shows, I do recommend coming during the weekday to avoid crowding. We actually got a free upgrade to a Stay Well room because they had extra rooms when we arrived. Definitely take advantage of everything MGM has to offer instead of purely treating the hotel as a place to sleep. As I mentioned, the pool is amazing, they have many different pools, a lazy river, bars, a restaurant, waiters, and plenty of lounging chairs or even day beds and cabanas you can rent. They also have a decent gym with most of the equipment needed for a sweaty workout. Sometime around noon is a good time to go if you don't want to workout around too many people. There are many restaurants within the hotel but they do tend to be pretty expensive. Some of the cheaper "fast-food" is also littered around the hotel. I think MGM is in a pretty good location relative to the rest of the Strip. Across from MGM is the newly opened MGM Park which has Eataly, an Italian food marketplace with a restaurant. I highly recommend it. It's also close to a couple clothing shops. Again, make use of what MGM has to offer.
Always a fun place to hit up when in Vegas! They need some better restaurants in the Casino, in my own personal opinion. At the end of the day it s Vegas, party on!
First night people where smoking in the hotel, staff didn't care and when I told them about it they blew me off. Managenent didn't care and stated that they are understaff with security...I guess at the MGM rules go out the window .
Doubled my price upon arrival, after trying to pay with two different credit cards the clerk says I have to call my bank since I live out of state? After talking to my bank they tell me that it s the hotel machine that isn't processing my payment right. Then I finally get checked in by a different lady and my card goes threw... THEN I get to my room the bed was undone, checked the restroom towels on the floor, no soap and the toilet was dirty ( not flushed ) Never staying in this place again.
Wonderful design. I visited through my quick short visit, I wish to visit it again What I noticed On the South end of the Strip across from the Tropicana, this colossal, emerald-colored casino resort is fronted by a signature 45-foot bronze lion.
What a wonderful weekend. The bed was so comfy. The view of the bay was beautiful. We were happy to receive champagne upon out arrival. Thank you for such an amazing weekend!
Social distancing and face coverings didn't happen. Wasn't a comfortable or enjoyable experience. I don't recommend this environment if you are at all concerned about COVID 19.
Didn t quite meet our expectations this time. Some of the staff was excellent, some seemed annoyed that you existed. The hotel and attached restaurants were always out of things and the VIP lounge is poorly run, stocked, and served. The blinds in our room did not work properly and I heard others had the same issue. It was very difficult to get hold of the front desk or maintenance and once we finally did, the issue was still not corrected for an entire week. Event staff was excellent and overall the hotel and casino are fine. A little better attention to detail could earn them an additional star or two.
There for a show and the atmosphere is so gorgeous! Definitely a great fun place, slightly more laid back than Caesars, bellagio, etc which I appreciated!
I only walked through, but it was amazing. They had games I've never seen in other casinos. I know I want to go back and play. It was spacious in there as well. It was good lighting. It didnt look dim/dark.
A bit dated, but still formidable, MGM Grand has something for everyone. Shows, food, casino, conferences, shops, you can pretty much stay indoors all day and enjoy. Facilities are clean, staff helpful. Definitely worth a visit even if you are not staying here.
I guess the charm of Vegas is that you can smoke in the casinos, considering it was the only smell, alongside marijuana, it wasn t the right location for me personally. We stayed in another hotel during our stay in Vegas, we found the clientele much different at MGM Grand, our preference was for more mature crowds. A nice hotel, just personally preferred to spend a bit extra up the road.
Nice casino, obviously a cornerstone of LV and the main promenade. Has nice big rooms, good amenities, love the pool and fun atmosphere. Plenty of space. Only downside it s at the end of the main strip and nightclub isn t the best
This is my first new year in MGM and it was so disappointed the room was dirty the service horrible and again you never win in this casino there was no events for the new year celebration according to the employees at registration. I will not come back for new year's again.
My family stayed at the MGM Grand for 3 nights and 4 days from Friday to Monday. Overall the hotel is very nice, rooms are clean and there is easy access to the whole strip. One complain I do have is don t spend the extra money to get a room with the view of the strip. I uploaded a video and I don t thing it s worth the extra cost. Plenty of dinning and options to eat. This was just a family stay no gaming. My kids are 10 and 7 and they had fun of sure.
I love love loved this hotel! To start I wasn't even supposed to be staying here, but due to my hotel I booked (The Mirage) being closed for Covid-19 I was complimentary moved to the MGM. I believe it wasn't a bad trade off at all. My favorite thing about the whole place is the pool complex! OH MY GOD! Best lazy river I have ever been in. They are following guidelines for Coronavirus as best as they can. Due to Covid a lot of the shops and such were closing earlier than usually or not opening at all, but that was the only downfall if this hotel. Last time I stayed in Vegas I came here to see the Jabbawockeez and they are amazing. The show was longer than I expected and easy to get to from my hotel via the SkyTrain. I would def recommend MGM! I have some clips from my stay on a recent video I have upload to youtube as well.
It's well laid out, so you can navigate the property pretty easily. There is so much to do in the hotel, you never have to leave, depending on the length of your stay. The staff are all super friendly and helpful. Top shelf all the way.
Wonderful rooms. However the rest of the hotel and casino seems almost intentionally chaotic. We won't stay there again, but if that's your style, then go for it!
My wife and I had the best time ever running around the casino and beating up the slot machines for a few days at MGM Grand. It was effortless and rejuvenating. The layout of casino and restaraunts and bars and clubs is just perfect for how we were feeling and what we were doing. Go there and try your luck. Only negative was that we suspect that there may be some shenanigans involved with the players club cards being tracked and sabotaging your gameplay after you have won. But, that's just one in a multitude of theories of a mad man and his beautifully mad gorgeous wife.
MGM Grand has a lot to offer as an LA Hotel & Casino from various styles of eateries like Al LA Cart to buffet to food court options, heaps of bars and gambling options if you're into that, nicely appointed rooms especially upgraded rooms and heaps generally going on like shows & entertainment. The pool area is large but still gets crowded. What I didn't like was how much disgusting smoke there is walking through the hotel and only one section of non-smoking. Hopefully soon times will change like they have in Australia and everywhere will be smoke free with only certain designated smoking areas. All the smoke is really off putting so much so we didn't eat at any restaurant which was open to the casino air.
My room is nicely updated, raising this from one star to two.
A few complaints: - My room wasn't cleaned well before check-in. I found caramel corn on the floor, and there was a dirty wash cloth in a visible spot on the bathroom floor. - My wife packed me a little breakfast and froze it so it'd be cool when I got to the hotel after my flight and unpacked. Super sweet. Put it in the fridge, literally 3" x 3" x less than 1" high. Got back to my room to a threat to charge me $50 for using the fridge. (See pic) WTF really??? - No coffee maker, so you have to go stand in the Starbucks line for 15 minutes and spend $5 on a brewed coffee.
Went here a few times for conventions and I enjoyed it! This is a busy hotel and major events are being held here! Centrally located, rooms are spacious and clean. There was a time the front desk personell upgraded my regular room reservation to a tower spa suite with a view of the strip, free of charge! Great service considering the long line to check in, and that was around 10pm (it simply pays to be nice). Shared the room with a business partner at that time. Will definitely be booking a room here again in future visits to Las Vegas!
It was a great hotel. However the check in took extremely long time. Also there are a lot of things that are not included in your hotel stay that are included would say that other resorts that I have been to. Over I had a great stay.
Clean and had a good time. The room refrigerator is stocked and charges if you remove anything. Sprite is 8 bucks the vending in the hall is 3.25 for a soda. Water was 10 in room. My wife drank one sprite and the only reason I know the water price is my bill had errors on crediting automatically one exception a 15 dollar charge for a drink..they credit it ....had to talk to them and they removed it. Check the day before you check out for billing errors.
