Nice place and nice food..good for doing event here..

The real time for check in is 12pm. But it was extended until 5pm. We spend 5 hours waiting the management to complete the room service. Worst hotel I have ever been to.

The hotel looks quite old and not have any classic design or fashion. But the foods is very delicious

Nice hotel! The environment is also available! The location is very convenient! Bangong, travel is very good! It is a fly in the ointment! Such a big hotel! One night RM240! The wifi in the room has to pay RM20 for itself! Or RM20 can only use one mobile phone! Laptops need to add RM20, ipad to add RM20! Couples two mobile phones plus computer plus ipad, RM80! Staying here is not worth it! This hotel is not worth living!

I went to Seattle Coffee & Tea actually and it is one of the restaurant in Merdeka Palace. This place is clean, cozy and you can enjoy your coffee or tea in a nice and relax mode. The ambiance is good. This place also have freshly baked bread n cake. It's a good place to hangout with friends. While catching up with each other stories, you can enjoy the light food too.. Why not 5 stars? Coz i waited for my burger like almost 20 minutes, even though their customers only my table and the one beside my table.

Got cockroaches under the branckect and top of the bed , the pillow was too dirty and also the floor . Besides that , the kitchen floor are slippery because not cleaning . Other than that , the living room floor smell bad maybe someone vomiting and no clean . We come to this hotel because compulsory Sauna but at last out of service . The television should change because it too old . The curtain not even can close and dirty . I will never come to this hotel anymore. I hope that the manager of this hotel will take action on this ASAP otherwise there will be no more tourist coming here anymore . They do not provide room slippers for us to wear in room . The sofa after sit was too itchy. Swimming pool water dirty and the floor too. The door can t close and I have no privacy at all . The light in the room was dark and some out of service. *The charging plug must fix because some was broken already .

#This is the worst hotel that I ever slapt in even motel is nicer than this.

We got a spacious 2 rooms apartments. Unfortunately, the hotel is rundown with many things damaged or not working properly. Just few examples, no WiFi, no fridge, broken chair, curtains, switches, dirty carpets and long wait for lift. Refurbishment is definitely long overdue.

Scary.. Not well maintenance.. Late check in.. Almost 5.50pm check in.. So sad..

Cool Hotel & Suite lodging at affordable prices, especially for family vacations

Never stayed but held an event. The food was ok but their services was good. They even provided a FOC changing room for the helpers of the event to get ready. The price was ok as well.

May require some upgrade but otherwise no complaints

A classic and full of historical elements during the British era. The interior deco is awe-inspiring! The service is top notch, the bedroom is neat and tidy... not only that, this hotel is near to Plaza Merdeka, the new Sarawak museum, waterfront, other museums, those cat statues symbolising Kuching etc... This hotel is perfect to go to all those places and Grab car service is very easy to get here. This is a great place for travellers like me to have a good night sleep.

Check in time 14:00, but now almost 15:00, why take a so long process to take me in the hotel... got a cramp feet here.. Please make check in process run smoothly and fast....

This hotel provides the type of hotel rooms as usual and apartments. The interior is luxurious and a little old-fashioned but well-maintained. Hotels are quite high up to 19 floors (including M and G) and there are 2 lifts available. In general, the location of Merdeka Hotel is quite strategic. Room service needs to be improved. The rooms are quite comfortable and there are adequate electrical sockets available.

The staff at the counter were very hard to reach, I've called the whole day and to no avail.

Suprising, MPHS room getting better from my pervious stay.. Room rate r reasonable.. Definitely recommend...

I wouldn't recommend this hotel!Better to spend a few bucks more on other hotel.It's a bit rundown.The room i stayed in,the water is dripping from the aircond with outdated basic toiletries.The toilet have stagnant water.I saw a cockroach inside my room.

the worst. checked in around 3 and was told to wait, and we waited until 5 because "rooms are not yet ready" zzz meanwhile others before and after me already got their room zzz disappointed.

Merdeka Palace Hotel & Suites is an good place to stay. The staffs are so friendly and helpful. All the services are just perfect.

Even if the lobby is nice, and the location convenient... i shall not recommend this hotel. Odours of old cold smoke, no fridge in room, wifi as extra, parking lot view (!!), doubts with cleanliness,... a lot more best places to stay in kuching rather than this one!

Stay at the 3 rooms apartment. The apartment need to be refurbished as it lack of maintenance.

Staff is very helpful. The room is old and run down. If I have choices will not stay again.

very slow service. supposed to check in at 2pm but we've been waiting until 3.30 pm

Super slow service at the counter, we waitef for almost 2 hours to get our room which we booked pand payed online. Only provide 2 lift to the rooms and we waited too long for the lift. The lift sucks and everything sucks about this hotel. One word to describe Merdeka Palace is TERRIBLE. They should just demolish this hotel and erase it from history.

Recommended for those who want to take a vacation to Sarawak to be budged in the middle

A comfortable and tenuous retreat close to the Maal Merdeka Plaza shopping center right in the heart of Kuching City Serawak Malaysia

Everything about this hotel is so nice, vintage and so lovely since we are kinda old school.

Eventho the lighting a bit dim but thats okay cuz im lovin it!

I was having a nice experience there this time. The room i got was nice and comfortable for my family for 3 adults. The chef was nice also. The photos of old memories... Nice even the building is a bit old...

The hotel is quit old and cozy. But the breakfast was not good and tasteless. Interior design was ok and room also good and ok too.

The room is ok. I took 3 bedrooms apartment. Everythg inside was ok. Just that the service made us very dissapointed. We came from outside kuching area. Drive bout 6 hours to check in. I call receptionist to confirm that i will check in a bit late. Around 6pm. She said ok. But unfortunately, we reach there at 7 pm, they said the rooms still not ready yet. So we go out for dinner. Few family also waiting there but unable to check in due to room still not ready. We came from far place. Bring kids and baby ok. My advise, pls improve the service. We only able to check in after 8 pm...

The suites we stayed was amazing. We have a great stay, will stay again next time. The breakfast a bit different, they give an ala carte order. But you can order many times.
