A really good central location near Jean medican, very friendly staff. Disappointed about size of room and outlook, however only 2 star, but worth using as a base. Breakfast deal at 9 euros per person isn't very good(served next door), only get hot drink and some pastries. The nice breaky pots and yogurts you have to pay extra for. Go a bit further down towards the old town as plenty places to get a much better breakfast (that isn't just pastries!)

Very well received by Natacha who offered us bottles of water as soon as we arrived at the establishment, the perfect and refurbished room I recommend this hotel.
A great stay! I will not hesitate to take this hotel back on my return to Nice. The staff are welcoming, funny and lovely. The bedroom is very well appointed, clean, with a cozy bed and plenty of comfortable pillows and cushions. This hotel has a significant plus, its proximity to the trams and on foot you can really do everything!
Don't be fooled by the only two stars !! Excellent hotel, certainly superior to the two official stars. Room and bathroom very clean, fridge, kettle and coffee / tea available, hairdryer. All 'arrival and departure is offered 1 bottle of water for every traveler. Free wifi and with a security deposit of 50 euros, a very small modem is delivered which allows you to enjoy free wifi throughout the city. The location is very central and the staff is very kind. Highly recommended !!
My stay in a hotel was more than excellent. Don't get fooled by two stars because this hotel has everything you need. The stuff was great and there were no language barriers since you can talk with the receptionist either in English or French.
The only negative point is that the room is very small. As for the positives, there are several: excellent location, excellent service, especially by the friendly Niccols and Maria, our embrace to them. We had great days in the beautiful city of Nice. Super I recommend both the Hotel du Center and the city.
We booked this hotel on Booking for an extended weekend in May. Arrived at the airport, our flight was canceled due to strike ... Coming from Alsace, it was therefore impossible for us to go to Nice. The hotel did not want to know, we had to pay the entire stay. This is unacceptable while the room may have been re-rented in the meantime.
A very nice surprise, this small renovated hotel! Great location, clean. Good reception and a lot of services available. Good bed and well equipped room. Elevator and everything nearby. Very good value for money and well received for 4 days. I recommend and will return for business because deserving hotel and staff.
We decided to go to the hotel du center in Nice, for the evening of August 22-23. We are announcing that we want to book for this night, they have availability. As soon as we announce our arrival via Wonderbox, they refuse us our visit, explaining to us that they have "no availability for this box", which I find scandalous.

The best hotel we have been in Nice so far. The rooms are beautiful as in the photos and very clean. The hotel is well placed, close to many shops and a 15 min walk from the beach. The view of the cathedral is our favorite. We were made to feel very welcome, I recommend!
The hotel easily findable thanks to all self-respecting gps, is close to all amenities, or tourist places to enjoy a short stay.

I was a guest of the hotel together with my wife and my son of a few months. Hotel located in an excellent area, a stone's throw from the center and the promenade, and well served by trams. Very courteous, friendly and helpful staff. Unique, small, negative was the heating too high in the room, but overall they deserve the 5 stars.

An excellent option for those who want to spend less and be well located. The entire room was renovated and well decorated, though small. There is no parking because it is in a square.
Our first impressions of French hospitality were not great. However, upon arriving, Alain made our entire trip worth it. His genuine concern for our wellbeing and enjoyment of not only our stay in the hotel but our entire visit was incredible. His recommendations for restaurants were spot on! We give Alain 10/5 stars!! His service really made our stay the best it could be. The room itself was small but was advertised as such. It is clean. The only reason we did not give five stars is due to smoking issues. Someone took a smoke break leaving the door open and as soon as we exited our room, the smell of cigarettes was overwhelming. Maybe better policies on smoking would be appreciated. But overall, a very nice place.

Nice hotel located right in the middle of Nice. room was little small but had everything you would need. Staff were perfect really nice and helpful. You get the feeling they went out of their way to take an interest in each person staying there. Loved the breakfast in the morning very French
It is a 2 star hotel which has 4 star qualities it is great that I stayed there 3 weeks in addition from time to time it ends the breakfasts on the terrace of the restaurant (the Socrates)
2 * which does its job well, better than other 3 * that I have known. I stayed there a 1st time in 2018 and then another in 2019 after the 1st experience was satisfactory. Clean and fairly spacious rooms. Beautiful view of the adjoining Basilica. Immediate proximity to the tram to reach the seafront. 5 big minutes walk from the station. Good service, always a very professional receptionist whatever the hour. The 1st bedroom did not correspond exactly to that of booking (1 single king-size bed rather than 2 singles) but it was not too much of a problem. Count 100 / night for 2, 60 for 1 in the off-season. Very good price / quality ratio.

I loved my stay here. The service was amazing and all the employees were so friendly and polite. Extremely helpful was the receptionist Una who gave me amazing advices about the city and its hidden gems. For sure it made my visit and stay unforgettable. Very shabby, lack of service, poor hygiene, there was nothing in the room that worked. Also having gone to the hotel because the site says that animals are allowed, since I have two very small chihuahuas. After checking in and sitting in my room they call me from the reception to say that I have to pay 70 euros extra for the dogs, I was stunned !!! BAD HOTEL NOT RECOMMENDED
Surprise discovery of this beautiful hotel, tastefully redone, where for one night, we appreciated the kindness and availability of the welcome, the great comfort of the room, and the Fragonard products that perfume the room! Close to shops, the old town and the sea!

This hotel has an excellent price-performance ratio and deserves quite high ranking as such on Trip Advisor, but it is surprising that it is also ranked, still on TA, the second largest hotel in Nice, all categories combined. . The amenities at this hotel are certainly ok and the price of a hotel room is obviously an important factor, but if it is not for you the only factor to be taken into account (as it seems that it is often the case for many commentators on TA), it is quite possible to do better in Nice.
After a short stay in this two day family hotel, we were concerned that we found this hotel not too bad, conveniently located close to all the shops and main streets of NICE. The room was a little small but to sleep there one night no problem we accommodated, bathroom ok relative to the room. In the back no noise and it is very significant, the welcome was nice to our arrival and the smile was present with hints of humor which is nice. On the other hand we made a speech on the cigarette unauthorized even the electronic what we understand without problem and have respected the instructions, but what we thought was that in the floors in the morning d early awakening people have smoked without any embarrassment but very unkind for us "non-smokers" ... We were told that cameras were installed and that we were filmed while there I doubt because some floors stank of cigarette ... We So we had to suffer this disadvantage and fasting not easy to accept this inconvenience. The doors also slam to midnight when people enter or leave their room and wake up other occupants who try to sleep (lack of civility and education certainly ...) For breakfast next door at MALONGO it would not be too bad if the staff when there was still no one when we returned, were panicked, was a bag of knots, did not understand the tickets taken and have to call the reception, it was a little Too long the service and our coffees and others were almost cold, bad organization for the breakfasts, and 9 euros we found it too expensive for our taste. Otherwise we will return for sure.
The hotel is personable, very friendly staff, the rooms a bit cramped, but nice and very functional. As for the laundry, really wasteful, a whole family would have fit under this duvet and every day there were fresh terry towels, even though I had hung them up neatly.

60 euros for the night, less than what is written on the website but no air conditioning in my room. The decoration is of a dubious taste, the view is appalling and the reception is summary ... nevertheless the ratio quality / price remains reasonable.
Lovely hotel in a perfect location - near the train station and just a 15min stroll from the old town. Room was clean and comfy if very small - it took a bit of figuring out where to keep the suitcase without tripping over it (!) but the friendliness of the staff, the great location and great price more than made up for this. Bed was also lovely and comfy.

Very courteous and helpful staff. Unfortunately no one with knowledge of the Italian language. Good cleaning of the room and bathroom. The bathroom, however, turns out to be tiny enough that it cannot be turned inside. We had the mishap of one evening and morning without hot water, I hope the mishap has been fixed in a short time. The location of the hotel is just a few minutes from the train station and very quiet without noise. Breakfast in the nearby restaurant should be improved, not only sweet but also savory.
LOCATION : no words to describe , basically top notch considering how cost friendly it is to stay a night. Conveniently located in the middle of everything you need, from food to shopping. Subway , BK, macdonalds, KFC and some Chinese joints just 3-5mins away by foot! Relatively quiet after 10pm even tho centrally located!
FACING : we got a room that is on the 4th floor facing the cathedral. Loved it as there s no direct view from opposite.
PRICE : paid SGD67 for a night. Perfect!!!
IN ROOM AMENITIES : Body soap provided. You d also find hairdryer, small fridge and safebox in the room. I m amazed to find complimentary coffee/tea on the desk! How generous of the owners of this small hotel. There s also a water kettle, smth I did not expect but surely appreciate!
RECEPTION: 24/7 reception available! We got upgraded , and were pleasantly surprised with two bottles of water by the front desk staff managing our checkin. He was friendly and approachable. Speak English too!
ROOM: love the floral wallpaper! I believe this place was done up new in recent years. Everything is well maintained and again, tip-top condition despite how pocket friendly it is! Also can t be happier to find 4 pillows and 2 deco pillows on the bed. It makes for a good nights sleep for sure! It is a pity though, that the bathrooms were left in its dated state. But still an acceptable condition.
NOTE : we booked our stay at the start of November, aka the low season of French/Italy tourism.
WIFI : in-room WiFi is complimentary. However, were told of weak signal in the rooms. We were recommended to place a 50 deposit for a pocket WiFi which we could bring ard with us in the city. Deposit returned upon checkout , when you return the pocket WiFi device.
