Looks very grand but room is not that good as other 4 star hotel.

The suites are really big and have so many rooms and bathroom

Building is too old for 5star hotel in kuching. Need more improvement towards room quality especially on curtain and wallpaper.. free food is average.. cant complain more since the price is very affordable or quite low compared to other hotel in kuching

Rooms are spacious. But interiors are dated. There's leakages in the toilet and ventilation needs major overhaul.

This hotel is where Arora hotel located during early 1900s. Located the the historical Padang merdeka.

Nice place, except a bit smelly. The old carpet should be replaced.

Registered 2pm, promised room 3pm with apologies, came back 4pm and was informed room not ready, given room key 430pm, arrived in room to find it has not been cleaned. Might want to reconsider utilizing during a national holiday in future..

Was not expecting that it has mini pool. The view from the apartment was spectacular

Merdeka Palace Hotel & The Suite is very good location at middle of Kuching Town. Very near with many interesting places and now have new building was called "Plaza Aurora" at beside the hotel which be Sarawak Tourism Hub. You can go there to find out more about Sarawak Tourism and Travel agencies.

Comfy accommodation conveniently located near a shopping mall and sight seeing places.

Strategic location in the middle of the city, affordable room prices. For a spacious apartment type room. there are 3 rooms plus a bathroom and a family room Wifi needs to be upgraded to network quality. The bathroom needs to be renovated again.

The hotel interior is nice. Easy parking. Easy access to main road. Breakfast buffet is ok . Need to improve room's facilities. There's a shopping mall nearby.

Food awful ,toilet sting,won t back here anymore never ever. The lift is slower than my grandmother walking. Not even 4 star rate.

Poor room service. Towel didnt change for new one on the next day. Call room service on this matter but request been ignore. Very disappointed with the hotel service. Although the budget hotel did change the towel with new one on the next day.

This is my first visit. Took quite some time to check me in. I got my room key card, yet can't access my room and I had to change room. Room service took some time too. Complimentary Wi-Fi

Grand entrance. Nice staff. They provide parking for both car and motorcycle. The room is spacious but a bit old. The air conditioner is like an old school but working well. The location is near to waterfront and mall.

The hotel needs major renovation. Poor cleanliness.

Hotel ok name is strong, but the room is a bit upgraded, it has never been raining water in the room, the wet carpet smelly.

Bad experience. Window facing car park. The room look classic and dark. Recommend the hotel renew the facilities in the room.

Strategic place for nearby tourism place, there's many option room for family apartment style.. clasic room layout, but cozy place..

Friendly staffs, big spacious room, centrally located. Close to merdeka plaza and walking distance from museum.

It's not a new hotel and it hasn't been redecorated for quite some time so don't expect the best. Overall it's still a good place to stay and the staff is helpful so it's not bad.

I book at agoda and agoda have a promotion original price RM255 to RM130. Ofcourse i want that price. So i pay for 2 night. But merdeka palace give me room like budget hotel room. Refrigrator cannot be use.

It's a good hotel. It's really like a palace but when we came in to the room. It's is a bit kind of disappoining. The master room has a unpleasant smell. I found a cockroach on the bed. The swimming looks nice buy it's a bit dirty. You might need more lifts too. Two aren't enough. It's took me 20mins just to go up to my room since. The television is too old which came to my surprise that it's still functioning. It's a good place to stay but it need some changes or should I say upgrades.
It's a classic hotel but it really needs some upgrades. The lights in the hotel provided looks dark and a bit dirty. The plugs for charging phone needs to be fix. I hooe the hotel manager will take serious action of this problems. Tq for your cooperation.

The room outdated. Need a major upgrade. Tv in the room has a technical issue. Dirty window blind and cannot be folding up. No fridge available in the 2 rooms suites.

I rated it with 3 as it was an old hotel and due to 2020 covid cases has caused lost of lots cleaner and maintenance services.

I stayed at this hotel for several days and yet the housekeepers didn't make up the room up until we asked them to do so for several times. The air quality inside the room is so humid, smelly and unhealthy. Some of the panel buttons are malfunctioned.

It is an old but renovated hotel and well-maintained. Rooms are spacious and temperature can be controlled accordingly. A no-smoking hotel policy at all places but there's a designated smoking area outside hotel entrance. It is located close to plaza merdeka and there's ample parking lots for guest.

Located in city centre with cheap price. Services are good but need renovation and refurbish as the hotel is pretty old and not that well maintained.

Convenient to any part of Kuching city especially Waterfront, Main Bazaar, Topspot seafood food court & Plaza Merdeka Mall...

Facilities are old, they should renovate their rooms.

Lobby facade is elegant. Breakfast limited but good. Rooms indeed dated. But the location is superb

Took us like so long to get a room and they treat us unwelcomely . Decided to give 2 star for the manager that handled us .

Book this morning and wasting my time to waiting from 12.15 until 15.00 to get room. "We are not ready ur room" funny sentances from reception.

Old but classic Hotel within inner city center. Close to Electra House and River front.

service was poor, dh booking rooms and other rooms, not many hours and not even waiting ....

very pleasant to stay here..its location was
in front of Padang Merdeka..such historic place.

1. On the 1st day, hotel's operator has failed to give the correct information on the check in time. She passed the line up to 3 person. 2. Receptionist on duty was not being friendly. He quite clumsy. When asking about printing service, he not even helpful at all. Keep saying email didn't received even I have sent the correct email. When I asking for another email, he said he just having that one email. Really? Worst receptionist ever. 3. Aircon not functioning on the 1st day, I have to wait an hour until technician arrived to fix the problem. Operator somehow very rude. She cut the line before I finished talking. I'm not even mad at her, just calling for every 20 minutes to make sure the technician to come immediately. 4. Toilet can not flushing properly and smelly. 5. However, bell boy earned my respect, they are very humble person and has gave a lot info about the hotel. Complement also must gives to cafe team, good service and their smile really made my day.
