Old hotel but still nice place to stay due to historical background

Management should really do something about the overall cleanliness.. Disgusting. And can someone answer the phone at the cake shop please i need bread.

Strategic location ... Breakfast variation is lacking ... Toilet lobby needs to be repaired ^ _ ^

Spacious room, suitable for family traveller with small kids. Near to Plaza Merdeka shopping mall, and other attraction places to visit with only walking distance

Stay at room a deluxe room for 2 nights. Important business trip. Arrived at hotel late, sleepless 1st night, had to sleep on coach using towels as pillow and blanket. Bed had bed bugs causing skin irritation and itch. Pillows had foul stench. Complained to staffs in the morning, room was changed. Thankfully no more bed bugs and stench in new room. Bathroom had foul smell. Generally old building, could do with renovation. staffs are friendly and helpful. Breakfast had limited selection of food.

Very reasonably priced for the type of accommodations they have. Love their multiple bedrooms suite with the pantry.

Worth for money. The was huge, suitable for those who travel with big family member. Overall the service was excellent.

Is very convenient to travel. In the center of kuching. The place is very hygiene. Staff very nice n always smile. The breakfast in so delicious. Transportation no problems.

Big oldish hotel. Room a bit tired and had to call multiple times to get bathtowels. Having said that, good size room. Great shower. Nice overall feel about the place. Great location. Would stay again.

For sure the most convenient place to stay when u at kucg..just walk at nite to see the kucg markwt at nite..and tthe staff oso nice and frenly

Old hotel.. Some of the equipment in the hotel is broken. They need to monitor their suite more often.. Especially the TV. I hope i can use my usb pendrive to watch movie but the TV seeems out of date.

Several things that didn't up to expectations and need improvement.
1. Noisy and loud music from the lounge downstair (probably 1st floor) got me awake from sleep. I checked my watch it was 00:35am, I think the music continued til 2:00am. I was staying at 6th floor (guest rooms are from floor 2nd to 7th), but the sound still consider loud to me.
2. The flush from the toilet bowl is broken, hair dryer handle is broken as well.
3. The floor is a bit dirty. There are quiet amounts of stains on the floor carpet. I moved the sofa a bit closer to the bed and I found there's about a 50cent big chunk of KFC skin crunch. My 14 months old daughter almost picked it up and ate it.

The apartment & restaurant room is still cozy today - twenty years ago our family and I stayed here, salute!

Under-maintained. Smoking penalty may not helped at all, with the fact that we changed room twice and strong cigarettes smells lingered right at the entrance and bathroom area. Old establishment always struggle with mantaining the place but it should be time to renovate to attract customers.

Went there twice, holiday & conference. The staffs were friendly, breakfast & lunch were so delicious. Last time i took the suite and i had a really nice view of kuching. The rooms were quite nice but some of the wall paper and ceiling were torn off. The room wasn't properly taken care of i reckon. But still i had a nice view & a bathtub

Located on the city centre right in front of Padang Merdeka and just a little distance away from Plaza Merdeka. Rainy season would cause massive flooding around the hotel building

As you enter the main lobby, you can see the grand marble interior and it was beautiful. The room was not so great tho. It's quite old and it smells funny. We couldnt enter our apartment as the door battery is "running low" so it couldnt read the key card. We had to call the manager twice as it happened on 2 different days. The food at Seatlle Coffee was great. The location of the hotel is quite near to a mall and market and waterfront.

If you guys trying to find a place to stay in Kuching, these hotel should be the first choices in your list. Do check it out.

Good hotel service, but some appliances in rooms are either not working (table lamp) or low maintenance(air conditioner). But staff will check upon request/complain.

If hotel staffing is unable to cope with high occupancy during Gawai and Hari Raya, I suggest you sell less room and do not be greedy. Though the check in time is 3pm, at 5 pm there are still so many people waiting for their room in the lobby. The bath towel was not even ready yet when we arrived at the room eventually. There should be some way for the hotel to express remorse towards their customer kept waiting, a free breakfast cuopon or drink or something. For the customer who checked OUT from room 1006 on 4/6, the hotel is a non smoking hotel! Hotel must be strict and punish this inconsiderate man. I hope you will suffer for your behaviour.

Cause a hotel 4 stars, I'm for 4 stars. But people who go to this hotel snap a pic of the main front of the hotel ... big, crazy dad

Old hotel, beautiful lobby, room need big renovation, toilet flush to make 2 new seattle. Breakfast is ok.

Only went for event, did not stay overnight. Had food at the restaurant, not a fan.

Big and spacious rooms at reasonable rates. Rooms are a little worn, but relatively clean. Very good value.

5 star hotel quality. Food quite nice with reasonable price

The hotel is built in a very strategic place, once exiting the hotel to the right walk, then it is 650 meters by kuching water front or about 9 to 11 minutes on foot even longer because you are treated to souvenir shops in front kuching water front. Then the distance to India Street is around 7 minutes (550 meters) on foot, the distance from Plaza Merdeka is about 3 minutes (260 meters) on foot. The hotel is opposite the Padang Merdeka which is nice to enjoy at night with a relaxed atmosphere. Then on the left side of the hotel there is the Sarawak Museum which is 3 minutes (180 meters) on foot. The hotel lobby is neatly arranged, there is a coffee shop, the hotel has 19 floors with two lifts and one stairway for access in and out, canary room is clean and neat so it is suitable for a vacation with family.
