Wifi connection not ok. But overall awesome! the view

Rate for room are resonable price compares to others hotel

The room was clean, I can't say about modern, it's more like bring back the old memories place.. but it's worth the money to stay cause we stay in apartment suite with 3 rooms inside and it was great... Love it will stay next time if we do come with a big family again

The location of the hotel is quite convenient, as there is a shopping mall located just 4 mins away from it, where you can do your shopping here. However the hotel room is quite run down as it seems it is not well kept. The lobby is quite nice though.

For a classy hotel, I am very disappointed with the hotel staffs. They are unprofessional when dealing with customers. First come first serve basis is not in their book. They rather entertainment foreign guests first leaving behind local guests waiting. This kind of mind set is unacceptable. We have to wait for almost an hour for them to get ready my apartment. This is ridiculous. We reached the hotel around 2 pm and was given the room card around 3 pm. Check in time for most hotels are 2 pm. The hotel management should look into this matter. Guests are paying the same amount for the rooms. Why are foreign guests given special treatment or priority?

As usual, the food are nice. The structure is a bit old, but still quite grand.

A VERY nice view from level 16. Its just that all the windows are VERY dirty n cant really take good pictures from room. Really hope they can at least clean the window once in a while

Over price for dining in room

They will charge you for request extra pillow, you only get each one pillow for 2 single bed

They will charge you for early check in, you have to wait to 3pm sharp to check in

Internet is slow, 2-3mb only

Stayed at second floor, and you night will be disturbed from live band below, at 1.45am still so loud

Very cozy n conducive. A good place to stay. Friendly and efficient staff. Good n Variety of foods. Right in heart of city and Kuching waterfront n souvenirs shops is within walking distance. The Sarawak Muzium is just beside it.

Overall is clean but was not expected to have a car park view room.

The Merdeka Palace is a charming place, and many people have come to Palace independence for the night here, as many interesting places at Merdeka Palace

Its a 4star hotel @ reasonable price. 3 min walking distance to shopping, food & waterfront areas. Good choice !

Very nice... Staff very friendly... Helpful and the atmosphere is upmarket.. And the rate is not more than elsewhere for a bit of class....

Big and beautifull Hotel....good for stay....near to Plaza Merdeka shopping Mall...only walk distance...

- Generally, the place is showing signs of aging and being run down, with wallpapers in the suites torn and having some scribbles.
- The air-conditioners couldn't be set properly and with our guests in the suite the room felt balmy despite putting the air-cond fans at the maximum levels and temperatures in the teens.
- Since we booked the apartment we'd expected to have a fridge and food-heating facilities to be available; instead we had to request them. They only delivered a microwave but the fridge didn't arrive despite our pleas that we needed to keep some food chilled.
I think the management should consider some "rejuvenation" programs for the place.

The condition of the room is less comfortable but it is quite mild to carry for carrying a family in 1 room because of the large size of the room

The best place to stay...very stylish design Hotel...with its 5star rating hotel.

The bathroom stinks. Breakfast is not an option. Parking is bad

Merdeka palace hotel is place of choice for tourists. The services are top rated. The staff are wonderful. I enjoyed my stay in August, 2019.

Only can check in at 4pm. Spent hours waiting in lobby. All F&B outlets closed

I currently staying in 311,omg it is facing the street,THIS IS THE NOISIEST hotel room,no soundproof. The motorbikes and cars seems running next to your ears while you are trying to sleep. Old hotel,i have to request the floor mat,tissues,no bathrobe,no slippers,toilet amenities by request. Just imagine you are tired n expected quite n well prepared room,but you have to be the supervisor for the hotel . Before you stayed you better check the room.

A major disappointment. I have stayed in this apartment a few times and this recent stay was a let down. There were no wifi provided (the excuse was my room was a promotional rate), you be the judge of that. The amenities in the apartment was poor. Chairs upholstery was dirty and torn. The light fixtures need to be fixed. No fridge, no microwave, cutleries. Covid 19 may have caused the management to be frugal but no excuse to give good services. If you want to use the room just for sleep it is ok but if you want to spend time in the apartment with families you will have to bear with the sore eyes.

Quite old but their lobby is beautiful.. Got a good price from agoda booking.. I have no problem staying here.. Recommended to give it a try.. Plus tourist attraction is reachable by walk etc. Waterfront, open market, Indian street, darul hana Bridge.. Also can walk to plaza merdaka shopping mall.

Wifi doesn't work from inside the room.
The rooms are spacious but the facilities are not updated enough. Old tube television with channels that were not clear in appearance. The curtain is also jammed so it is difficult to open and close. The control panel in the main room is not functioning properly.
The hotel staff is friendly and the service is good.

It is a good experience with the restaurant. We are arrived,the sign read " the restaurant is closed for private function." It is quite a shock. My friend want to leave. Then I proceed to the counter. and ask can we order. Yes, is the answer. The order is made.
The food is served well. The price is fair. It is on promotion time. All must try their cooking. It is fine dinning.

Good place to stay even with family members. They have a very spacious apartment with 2 bedrooms attched with bathrooms. Master bedroom with 1 king size bed & bath tub and another room with 2 single beds & rain shower. Spacious living hall, good kitchenette and dining area is available. Its just that no chiller available value for money

The Receptionists at the counter on duty 19/12/2019 (12-2.30 pm)are not that friendly besides not cooperative towards my request to check if any of our belongings being left in our room after checkout.I made 2 calls to 2 persons(male and female)separately after More than 1 hour waiting for them to do the checking till im writing this,Seems like they just ignore my request keeping me waiting to no end. so sad it took lest than 5 minutes to go up by lift..
