bed bug stains on the mattress. Told management. We have stayed at this hotel for all 4 years our son was at Amherst. It was a shock to see it. We will never stay there again.

Met here for a meeting today. Nice, clean, convenient.
Attended a venue that was shut down well before the scheduled end date, will never give this Marriott business again
Looked nice. Definitely one of the better hotels in Amherst area
We had our club sports banquet there and it was very nice. They had great food, friendly waitstaff, and a bar in the hall we were in which wasn't overly expensive for a hotel
Place smells like pot and always fill of partying college students
Excellent hotel. Good environment. Kind people. Gorgeous and clean hotel. Resturant breakfast is not free but it is also very good.
I was employed for 7 months with this hotel
LOL at the guest deception of this place
I've totally been abused by this hotel with literally the most corrupted corporate practices a company could possibly use (literally). I was lied into employment with the company seeing that I was working 2 other jobs before I came. I wouldn't stop questioning my supervisor making it very clear I don't want a worse or as bad of a job, and he just lied through the whole entire interview with me. When I got blatantly discriminated by the racist front desk I just walked out the hotel and wrote a letter stating I have to abide by my own morale standards (the front desk person screamed at me at the top of his lungs for using the word bed bug even though no guest were around while trying to resolve the issue as a cleaner.) Then I was called back to work because they aren't capable of keeping lots of hard working houseman with those practices. A few weeks later I just got fed up and gave my two weeks got another job at Yankee Candle (where I've worked 3 times) and then just got injured at the same time my father died and then totally discriminated by the front desk employees and management who just blatantly got satisfaction out of my pain and suffering (literally) while I've been doing everyone's job these past 3 months. Now I have no job no money and left to sit on my butt, I will take out a loan. I was thinking about contacting a lawyer but decided it is not worth it since everything about this hotel is about saving the owner every penny he can possibly get his rich greedy hands on (he can get his money). This hotel franchise is owned by the company that owns 5 hotels in Hadley (one owner). I will not continue to ramble about my frustration with these soulless people but be proud to tell the guest a few things that go on here.
1. This hotel has an issue with bed bugs that I would get fired for if I were to be mentioning it enough in front of guest.
2. They don't wash there quilts or pillows
3. One side of a 40 pound brochure rack that was being held by two small screws fell so I tried to fix it, then the other side fell and twisted and completely strained the entire left side of body and then all maintenance did was screw it back in the same holes. I later shook the brochure rack lightly after maintenance fixed it and the screws started popping out again, that could seriously injure a toddler or someone
4. The other houseman clean bathrooms then fold the cloth and put it back on the carts only to be used again to wipe the streaks off the precious water glass's. So if you drink from the water cups in the bathrooms you can be sure you may just be licking someone's piss.
5. They don't use deep cleaning vacuums because the higher end workers feel they would cost the owner to much money even though he is not saving money because the rugs just keep getting completely stained.
6. They do no criminal background check which is evident in the fact that everything my supervisor did with me was illegal and he is only about saving the greedy owner pennies. YET HAVE THE MOST CORRUPTED CORPORATE PRACTICES A COMPANY COULD POSSIBLY USE.
7. When I was being trained for the houseman position I literally was being told the entire time that my job is really to make the hotel look more clean then it really is and feel I have the right to say at this point NOTHING ABOUT THIS HOTEL IS THE LEAST BIT SANITARY
8. The Bistro restaurant is pretty nice and have some good options so if I made anyone feel uncomfortable with this review they can hide from the bedbugs by sitting in the lobby, however we are not allowed to vacuum when one person is in the lobby or we would get in trouble with the front desk so don't stay to long. LOL
Nice, clean hotel with great service right next to the University
The place is beautiful and the staff is very courteous. The buffet in the morning could be better, but other than that, one of the nicer hotels I've stayed in.
New/modern hotel, very clean, with friendly staff and great amenities. Definitely the nicest hotel in the Amherst/Northampton area.
Stayed 2 nights in November with freezing temperatures outside. On the second night, the thermostat in the room stopped working around 11 PM. The person at the front desk came into our room to take a look and it was not fixable. They didn't have any space heaters. Too much of an inconvenience to move all our stuff at midnight to another room. It was our last night so we just put extra clothes on and made it through the chilly night. At check out time, they didn't charge us for the second night. Bad experience with wuite reasonable compensation in the end.
Beautiful Hotel, Very friendly front desk clerks. Beds were very Comfortable. Def stay here again.
Exactly what it needed to be. Beds were clean. Bathroom was clean. No noticeable problems whatsoever.
Decent stay. Nice, clean room. Friendly accommodating staff. Close to UMass campus and downtown Amherst.
Room was spacious and clean. Bed was not very comfortable.
Good hotel overall. Rooms are a little small and TV is in strange location. Compared to similar hotels in this area, it is lacking microwaves in the rooms and beds are not as comfortable as Fairfield Inn in North Hampton.
A fine hotel but does not offer a free breakfast or easy to use wifi. When the bill nears $200 a night on a weekday, these amenities would be most welcome.
Gorgeous building, very large rooms, excellent stuff, great location
Friendly staff. Water was leaking onto the floor of the conference room. They said it would be fixed by the next day, so shouldn't be a problem now, but was a minor problem while there.
I've enjoyed the services of staff and manegment clean room comfortable furnishings the experience made my trip great
It's a Courtyard Marriot. I don't have much to say about big chain lodging that plops itself down in a majestic farm field by imminent domain.
My mother was staying there while her house was getting repaired. She's been happy with the cleanliness of the room and with the friendly and professional staff.
Nice rooms, good location, ready access to UMass and the highway. Some malls and convenience store close by, Target a short drive away if you forgot anything.
Clean, well sized room. The bed was comfy. Would use again.
Attended an alumni even for a club back in college. Staff were diligent, hardly noticed they were there, and the drinks were good.
Buffet breakfast with made to order omelettes was great
Well appointed hotel, with no significant drawbacks; staff was friendly and helpful, room was spacious and clean.
2 star rating but for the lack of amenities snd use of facility. Literally got a room and a bathroom.
Nice bed and room. Bathroom sink was slow to drain. Breakfast not included in room rate.
Easy access from the street, lots of parking available. Very friendly staff. Charming swimming pool and whirlpool.
The room was clean and in excellent repair. My only complaint is that for the price I expected a larger space and more amenities. I would stay here again but would definitely shop around first because of that.
From the time of our arrival, everything went smooth!!
Our front desk gentlemen, was very accommodating, I asked for tea and he was able to get it for me , and was very nice, since it was super late upon our arrival.
And, in the Morning I went down for coffee and the lady at the front desk, was also very accommodating..
Went out of her way to get me a tray, so I can secure all the many cups of coffees that I was taking up.
As, I have met the manager on our previous trip up, when we first dropped our son at Amherst.
Manger is very helpful and kind spoken to his staff.
Great job!!
Room was super clean and comfy!!!
Beautiful hotel. The rooms are kept very nice & the staff is friendly and courteous.
Service was slow, but all in all a good experience.
Very unique looking CY property, but just as nice as one would expect. Very friendly staff, ample parking, plenty of places to grab a bite nearby.
This property is central to all five institutions in pioneer valley. Staff are warm and engaging. Breakfast options were great and I liked the option for a la carte and buffet. Both indoor amenities and outdoor space are a outstanding. The room was spacious, bed was very comfortable, in room microwave and fridge were a huge plus! Decor in the whole facility was warm and welcoming and up to date. Last but not least, it was a very clean hotel! Great job Marriot. I know know where to call home for our next R&R visit.
Standard Courtyard facing a busy road which makes for a loud room. I had booked the room months earlier given the busy college weekend. But don't expect that the front desk will take into account status or using the mobile app to check-in early to assign a quiet room because, after all, who'd want that? They expect you to feel satisfied that at least they didn't give your room away.
Its gorgeous inside and outside. The bathrooms are immaculate
My buddy and I stayed here for D2R2. The hotel itself is nice and is in a semi convenient area. We got upgraded to a better room which was nice and the room itself was big. A bit too big in my opinion (not sure who needs a two room hotel room with one bed in that area). Only reason I gave it 3 star instead of 4 is that the tap water tasted terrible and the "guest" bed was so uncomfortable. You could feel every single spring. The normal bed was comfortable but the sleeping on the floor was more comfortable than the guest bed.
Great location, and very clean. Very enjoyable experience.
I had the corner larger room which is really nice. The hotel is nice. The only thing i didn't like was the tv. I was there for a nice getaway relaxing weekend but the t.v. is too small for the size of the room. And there is no guide telling you what is on. Other than that. Great place to stay
Perfect location if you are visiting the 5 colleges
Nice room, good service, and had a good meal that night at the hotel. The bar is surprisingly extensive beer selection in the bar.
This is our home away from home. All the staff are very friendly.
We LOVED our stay...drove 4.5 hours for an over night stay (visiting Amherst) we didn't arrive until 11:30 at night which thankfully was no problem. When we arrived the kids decided they were hungry being we had never been in the area prior to this trip we asked for help at the front desk, he not only looked up local places but also called to verify they were open! After we go back with the food I accidently dropped one of the key cards down the elevator shaft...and they said no problem we will find it when the area is cleaned. The room was beautiful and unlike most hotels they allowed us to have 5 in one double queen room, they understood 3 where children and had no issues. The kids loved having access to the indoor pool...and I loved the hot tub.
Attended a conference here, no complaints, lunch was good, facility was good. Recommended!
I had an event there a few weeks ago, and the event planner, Lynn, was very rude and unprofessional. She is unorganized and does not know how to properly plan an event for the amount of money you pay there. Choose anywhere else but the Marriott (or even the Holiday Inn because she controls that spot too). Support the other area hotels.
It's really nice. Nice big room with TV and free Wi-Fi. Really comfy bed.
Excellent hotel. Classics of the genre! Like any other in this network. There is a pool, but the truth is not very big. Free huge parking. Normal breakfast. In walking distance of grocery, alcohol shops and small shopping centers. Great service!
Staff was very nice. Lobby is huge and looked very clean. Ballroom is very spacious.
Really nice hotel! Warm and inviting. Friendly staff. Very clean.
Easy distance from the UMASS Amherst College. Clean and comfortable rooms at a great rate. Very friendly staff!!
Decent front desk service but expensive bar...typical for a Marriott though
What An Amazing place to stay at, and All of The Staff Members are So Kind and Helpful.
My Dad and I went there to meet my New Service Dog and to do a few days of Training.
I couldn't get over how Beautiful and Clean this Resort Is. I Want to Personally Thank The Front Desk Manager who's name is Shawn/Sean, He is So Thoughtful And Welcoming to My Father and I, and Especially for Charlee and his Training with Kevin and myself.
To All of the Staff Members, I will be Foreverly Grateful for the Help and The Importance in making My Life Safer and Better for My Future!!!!
Thank You Gratefully,
Marc Lussier and Charlee
I just spoke to the receptionist name Alex. He gave me great customer serviceI've been on the phone for the last hour trying to find a hotel with a pool that's open, he gave me all the information. All the other hotels I've called I've had to talk to call centers in other countries or robots that don't give me the information I need. I'm very frustrated by this process but being able to talk to Alex very quickly I've been able to sort things out. I will remember the good customer service that I got from Alex
Fantastic place. Excellent customer service and overall execution.
Consistently great experience! Nice remodel and staff is always helpful
A perfectly functional place to stay. The staff is great and attentive, the rooms are clean, and the food is good
This place was amazing!!! Great location and comfortable beds. Must stay!
My family and I had a lovely stay, we enjoyed the pool and in-house restaurant.
