UPDATE #2
My tag issue has finally been resolved (a few weeks ago I just forgot to update this post). I'm not sure what the issue seemed to have been but whatever it was took the title office about 15 minutes to resolve. Which begs the question why it took over a month, a ticket.
I increased the stars because they finally got my registration but couldn't give them the full original 5 stars because I had to pay a ticket and I had to pretty much pester them to get a very basic service I'm paying for.
Even after all of this I still stand by the fact that James was great as a salesperson.
I still think it was the most stress free car buying experience we've had (I guess pre sale?), this is what make everything that happened post sale so disappointing.

UPDATE (long explanation):
I unfortunately have to downgrade my review by several stars. It seems like the (truly) great experience I've had buying the car is markedly different from what happens once you've purchased. I'll still leave my initial review up because it was heartfelt.

So since purchasing I've had my temp tags expire because my old tags haven't been transferred. This has never happened. I've gotten a ticket for unregistered vehicle and I can't access military installations with expired temp tags.
In and of itself that isn't enough to warrant an update. What happened after is worse. 1st I'm being given conflicting information, I've been told I need a duplicate registration then a duplicate title (that I ordered and am waiting on). Now I'm reading from MVA website that it's a duplicate registration (which I provided when we purchased). All of this in the span of a almost 3 weeks of me trying to get into contact with them (while asking for a new temp tag without a response).

This in and of itself is STILL not enough for me to update the review. What was mind boggling was I called today in order to get definitive information on what I need to get and was put in touch with a gentleman called Mike. Maybe Mike was having a bad day but he flat out told me that their salespeople do not know anything about registration. That the ONLY person in the dealership that can answer this is their title clerk. When I asked him what do you ask customers to provide when they purchase a car? He said: "they provide whatever they have". I was floored. In other words of the hundreds if not thousands of sales not a single salesperson is able to tell me what I need to transfer my tags (never mind that we were asked for specific docs when we bought the car)!
I understand not wanting to commit to an answer. But when a customer is simply asking you what have you've experienced in the previous sales you've seen, you owe him an answer. It's that simple.

It's sad because my wife and sister are both in the market for a GLC in next month and I had such a great experience buying my car but now I feel like I have to go elsewhere to avoid this mess. I'm never the difficult customer. I actually go out of my way to not leave a review at all instead of leaving a bad one but this shouldn't be this difficult. This is my first MB and I was naively thinking that everything about purchasing it would be easier.
My suggestion to the dealership would be to train their employees on what is needed to title their cars. I thought that was already the case but per Mike not the good folks at MB Arlington :(

I'm normally the one family and friends call to go with them to dealerships. In the past 2 years I've either purchased or helped purchase about 9 vehicles. This is by far the most pleasant, pressure free car buying experience I've participated in. James was laid back yet professional, he played more the role of an informative friend than a car salesman and we really liked that. He answered all of our questions thoroughly and made sure we got the exact car we were looking for.
It was so simple and painless I almost felt like something was wrong.

I highly recommend Mb of Arlington and in particular James, just keep him away from the printer :).

Joe sold me my car in 2019. I had just come back from a long deployment to a warzone and Joe and this dealer was the only place willing to work with me to purchase my car when I was still overseas. Highly recommend. Service is top notch.

friendly, fast, thorough and easy to deal with... good job everyone! Loved the online service scheduler and the text message updates. My service advisor was also very great and ensured I understood everything that was done to my car as well as all relevant charges (which in this case were none :-)

This is a horrible dealership. The sales manager literally hung up on me, and when I called back their switch broad operator did the same. I found and called the other dealership, in Alexandria, thinking I will be talking to another Mercedes Benz dealer. But, apparently, they have the same main line number, so the same operator recognized my voice and hung up. This is just kind of dealership you want to give minus ten stars. Don't ever consider this Mercedes Benz dealership for any of your needs. They are just abhorrent.

vehicle drop off was outstanding. Help was quick so was the loaner car. Service was good except for the parts ordered. I ordered an extra key for my c240 and did not arrive as promised. I have to make an extra trip to pick up my key. Poor customer service at the front lobby from the receptionist at the desk to the salespersons when I returned to pick up the key I ordered.

If I could give higher than 5 stars, I would. Dan Moreau provided me with excellent customer service. His communication was excellent, he kept me informed of my car's status at every step. He is extremely trustworthy and very professional. If you are looking for honest and excellent customer service in the DC area, I strongly recommend Dan Moreau at Mercedes of Arlington.

American Service Center has always given me the 'above and beyond' experience. I first purchased a vehicle from ASC Used Cars. Every time I got my vehicle serviced, I was always taken care of. Unfortunately I totaled my car but knew I wanted to stick with Mercedes. Greg S. in New Cars listened to what I was looking for and put me in exactly what I wanted. I was in a '15 C300 within a week from my accident. He and Mike are great, making the process extremely easy for me. From the greet at the door and since I've taken the vehicle home, Greg and the rest of the ASC Team has given me and my family such a wonderful experience. I would recommend this dealership to anyone that is expecting great service!

Better than I expected, the process really was easy and no pressure. Got a fantastic car and a very fair deal. Plus, they handled a problem with my trade-in vehicle that I doubted they would be able/willing to do. But no - did the deal no problem. Highly recommend the Arlington MB pre-owned store!

worst dealership ever!

went there with pre approval from credit union and finance guy wants to do a soft pull for redflags which he j had no documentation to back up with(Australian finance guy)
sales guy was cool but finance guy was just terrible at his job and needs to be fired for lying!!

The manager is even worse and not even making any sense!
We had the bank on the line and even logged into our credit union account for them to print a True car certificate
These dealers are a total scam!

I bought an S Class 6 years ago from this dealer and have another S Class from another dealer. I've used this dealer for service over the years and spent tens of thousands of dollars on service. Recently I needed a VIN certification to get an new tags for these cars. I called my rep, Gary Burke, and he said no problem just email me the form. That was over a month ago. Since then Gary refuses to return my calls after I have left at least 5 messages. I even left a message for the service manager who didn't return my call. These new tags are very important to me and my wife, but obviously MB Arlington could care less about me or the large amount of business I've given them. I WISH THERE WAS A RATING LOWER THAN 1 STAR. I'M GOING TO ANOTHER DEALER FOR SERVICE IN THE FUTURE. IT'S MAKING ME QUESTION WHETHER TO EVER BUY ANOTHER MERCEDES.

I conducted extensive due diligence over a three month period. I had very specific needs for my next vehicle and had narrowed my search to four luxury SUVs - BMW, Range Rover, Porsche and Mercedes. I drove each and considered all in a price to utility comparative analysis. Although each had its own unique attributes, and anyone of the four would have met my needs, I choose the Mercedes ML350 in the end based on one primary difference - the attitude and professionalism of the Arlington Mercedes Benz sales and service staff. Among the quality people I dealt with, Ryan Anderson was a standout. He clearly exceeded my high expectations, going the extra mile to ensure every one of my questions was answered and my buying experience was a pleasure.

My car needed a small plastic panel replaced underneath - a $100 part that is simply screwed in. Yet as I type the vehicle has been in the Service Department for 26 hours. I was advised my 10:30 appt. yesterday was just to "get in the queue." I've never encountered such a process - at my old Honda dealership a 10:30 appointment meant a mechanic looked at the car at 10:30 (okay, maybe 11:00). When I expressed dissatisfaction with this inefficient process, the response from my Service Representative was the telephonic equivalent of a shrug. I was told "this is why Mercedes has loaner cars." Really? So they don't have to keep appointments? I don't need a loaner car - I need MY car. I'm disappointed. I'll live with it, but I expected way more from a Mercedes dealership.

Already a Mercedes owner, I began researching back in August. Settled on 2 different vehicles, the C300 coupe and the E400 coupe. Yesterday I ran across what could be the most beautiful car ever. So I inquired to ensure that it was still available. What luck, it wasI receive a response the next morning. Like most, I work nonstop. I politely respond via text that I am unavailable but will call once I m free. Later that day I called. I explained that I didn t have any questions because I already knew everything that there was to know. I let Malick know that I would be making a decision by this evening maybe in the morning at the latest. Malick said ok and that he looked forward to speaking with me. Then I received a text after I asked whether the price of the vehicle was negotiable stating that I would need to put down a deposit in order to apply for financing for this vehicle. Malick told me that if I wanted to purchase the car that couldn t simply apply for credit and be financed but that I would need to pay him $1000 in order to apply for the car. I spoke to another dealership where I have decided to instead take my business and they too were appalled. I am at a loss for words. Thanks but no thanks. You deserve no stars but google doesn t allow that. You re welcome.

Omar had sold us five new cars over the past 24 years, and at this point we wouldn't buy a new car without checking with him first. Need to stop by without an appointment as I was soon to leave on a big trip. Three months earlier I'd gotten four new tires for my E55 -- none of them are cheap, but i got the most sturdy available. Then in the last two weeks i needed to put air in my tire twice -- so needed it checked. Long story short is that they worked me in, found a screw in my tire, and when the repair wouldn't hold, made a warrantee claim and gave me a free replacement for a nominal labor charge. The staff was polite and prompt, and it was a very busy day, but i got in and out without any problem or even having to appeal for consideration since the tires were all brand new. Thank you ASC!

This was a great place for me to go to I work with the sales person named JT and an and he was the bomb. Talk about professionalism, honest and just had a great smile on his face when he greeted me. I definitely recommend coming here if you're looking for a Mercedes-Benz JT knows everything about the car he explains it to you and he's not rushing he's taking his time giving you his full attention I just really had a really great experience here thank you so much Mercedes-Benz of Arlington because before I came to you I went to Mercedes-Benz in Cockeysville and got totally treated bad. I was told several lies my credit score went down 30 points and I didn't even end up getting a car there because I did not trust these people after they told me so many different things so if you want a great deal without going through the hassle and the stress I suggest you check out JT and have a great experience.

I read a lot of reviews that said Omar Siddiq was a great salesman. I have to say thank you to those that gave the reviews because he was awesome! He made the process so easy and went above and beyond to help me. He took his time to teach me about the car since I was using an older model car for years and the specs on the MBenz was definitely high tech. Great experience when looking for a pre-owned car here. Our sales associate, JT, was very friendly without being pushy at all. He was very knowledgeable about all of the cars that we were interested in. - he knew the features, packages and mileage on all of them without having to go dig around for paperwork. He was really a pleasure to work with. Sadly, we decided on a different brand, but I would refer anyone I know to JT and Mercedes Benz of Arlington.

I purchased my benz from here in 2017 and was blown away at the level of customer service I received. Just about everyone in the sales department is attentive and honest. So the 2 stars has absolutely NOTHING to do with sales. And EVERYTHING to do with the service department. I've had my car serviced here twice since the purchase of my vehicle and I will not be returning. The communication is horrible and the information they provide regarding service time is misleading. If the service technicians and porters spent more time focusing on actual work, instead of lolli gagging around and gawking at the women that come through there, then perhaps they can get some work done. I'm thoroughly disappointed. Mercedes Benz of Alexandria - here I come.
