These guys are thieves. Don't trust them. Love my car, absolutely hated my experience and every experience I've had since with the dealership. To buy a car from a company whom only cares about the $$ and not the customer is despicable. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE! I will be finding another dealership to deal with for service. :( Truly disappointed.

My wife and I purchased a CX-9 from Mazda of Clear Lake in April of this year. The salesman (Kenneth Froisy) told us that our Touring Edition should have a hitch on it and he did not know why it was not on the vehicle. He told us that we could go ahead and make the purchase and we could come in on the following week and get the hitch installed. Well it has now been three months and no hitch. I have talked to (Kenneth Froisy) the salesman several times and have copies of the e-mails that were sent between the two of us but it has done me no good. At this time he (Kenneth Froisy) will not answer my calls or answer my e-mails. I have called the sales manager (Dustin Simon) and he said that there is nothing they can do to help me out. I called the Mazda main office and talked to Kevin and he ran my VIN number and told me that he could not help me either. This was our first Mazda and it will be the last. This is the worst customer service that I have ever gotten from any car dealer. Very unprofessional!!! If you are reading this review, please let everyone know not to purchase a vehicle from Mazda of Clear Lake, they promise you something and you never get it.

I purchased a Mazda 6 from Clear Lake last year and was happy with their price and service afterwards (oil changes etc). Unfortunately my son had an accident and we lost the 2015 M6 early this year. After some research and much discussion, we decide to go for a 2016 Mazda 6 as replacement. Naturally we went to Clear Lake Mazda first to explore the potential of purchase. Floor manager, David Turner, recognized us a few seconds after we walked in and worked with us to explore our preferred configuration, and after testing driving, we discussed the price. As a return customer, I was hoping to get the car of identical configuration as previous year with the same price, David patiently explained to us that rebate changes yearly and car price goes up all the time, and offered a good price which was a bit higher than we would like to accept in our first visit to dealerships for the new car. So we decided to explore a couple more dealers to feel the market. Well, things did not go well with other dealerships, and we came back to Clear Lake Mazda. I explained my situation to David, and without much bargaining, David consulted with general manager and slashed his previous offer by more than $300. Not quite to my initial goal price but clearly best in town ! I accepted happily and the transaction was completed in a couple hours.

What makes me giving Clearlake Mazda highest rating is their competitive pricing, frankness of their salespersons (not just David) as well as friendly negotiation process. I basically got in touch or visited all the Mazda dealerships in Houston area, and this is the second time buying Mazda in two years! I can honestly tell that dealerships do differ significantly in business strategy as well as attitude towards potential customers (the tone is often set by the general manager). Clear Lake showroom or service department may not look the best in town, but they get you what are important to you: competitive (or best) price and friendly service afterward. I also feel compelled to write in another dealership's site about my bad experience with them. For any potential Mazda buyer, I highly recommend you to go Clear Lake and work with David Turner!

Salesman was fantastic. Went back and forth with the manager on final price between trade etc. we got to talking about windows and they wanted three hundred dollars. I assumed it was for the two in the front and told him hat was rediculously high. He informed me that they do all the windows. So i chose to do it. Scheduled an appt and showed up. They only wanted to do the front two windows and the service guy said that s how it is. I informed him how the manager sold me on all the windows being done and he said he would do it. Got home and noticed the sunroof and the rear window werent done. Called them and they said they werent going to do it.

I got charged for extra services that I was not informed about and also had the extended maintantence. The worst part is that they couldn t locate my keys after the work was done. The car was parked out of the service area (with no cameras in view) with my car keys in the vechile! I got called saying my car was done at 9:30am and were trying to tell me they just finished it and it just got there. It was 11:15am when I arrived trying to pick up my car. They didn t even update the oil sticker for the next oil change. Horrible expience. Cancelled the plan.

NEVER TRUST WHAT A USED CAR SALESMAN TELL YOU. Mirtza the salesman at this dealership tells me "trust us" if anything is wrong with the car we will take care of it. I am skeptical and even thought I know you buy a used car as is I wanted to believe that I could trust, that if anything was wrong with the used car I was buying I could bring it back and they would take care of it. After three days I noticed the moon roof was not working. I brought it back and thought it would be a simple thing, maybe a fuse and they "will take care of it" So George the Used car manager comes out and tells me that they don't check any of the accessories, electronics as he put it, that they only do a safety inspection on used cars. He suggested they will look at it and determine what was wrong but that I will have to pay for it. At that moment I lost it and told him to go to hell" I know its something simple like a fuse but I wanted to give them a chance to make a customer happy and live up to their promise. This is just a note to anyone considering purchasing a car from this dealership. They do not live up to their promise. Buy at your own risk, if they promise they "will take care of it" DONT BELIEVE IT!!

Purchased a 2013 Mazda 6 on Friday Sept 6, 2013 and took the car home that evening. It was dark when we left their facility so when I came to pay the money today (Monday,the 9th), they were asked to check out the sticky substance on the glove box area and the area surrounding the console. While I was inside paying the car off, the finance guy who was totally rude (never shook my hand or introduced himself, only simply came out of his office and said "you're here to give me some money". After signing the papers and all, he didn't get up to say congratulations or anything, had his radio blaring and basically kicked me out of his office once he got the checks and handed me my papers. They did however partially clean the car I made mention of but there was a lot left to be cleaned. I would have thought they would have at least cleaned the car before I took it off the lot and at least put a quarter of a tank of gas in there. I was very disappointed in the service second time around. May not ever buy from there again! Customer service definitely lacks in this place of business.

After not having my CX-9 for the first 4 years other than oil changes I have had 2 things come up in the last month. One was a brake issue that Mazda extended the warranty on and another that my extended warranty covered. I happened to get Diane for my free oil change a couple of months back and was a pleasure to work with so I called her when I had the brake issue and she is excellent. She keeps you informed every step of the way and is very efficient getting you in and out ASAP. A pleasure to work with.

Was trying to get a new Mazda 3 and the sales people were being pushy. Asked for keys to car getting appraised and walked away calling me an ass. Asked for my keys again and the salesman said "No, you apologize before I give you the keys! " So I had to make a scene and tell everyone that salesman was holding my keys. Finally got keys back. Be leary when dealing with the sales people as they want you do what they tell you not work with you when trying to buy a new car.

My salesperson Juan was excellent. He was friendly and flexible, as my husband and I figured out what we wanted in a vehicle. We visited several dealerships over the course of a weekend and thought his service was the most attentive and catered to our requests. Although we ultimately chose to purchase a used vehicle from different dealerships, if we had been making our decision based on experience with a salesperson alone, we would have bought from Juan. I do not even own a Mazda (yet) and I am BLOWN away by their Service Department! Today I left the keys to my house in a girlfriends vehicle. I didnt even realize that I did this until allost 1:00 am. Once I was able to get contact with her, I found out that her car was left at the dealership over night for maintenance and repairs. I WAS TOTALLY SCREWED! I had no way to get into my home and it was 1:00 in the morning! She sent me the manager of the Service Departments (Dustin) cell phone and I was shocked when he answered. I explained what was going on and he offered to come get my keys for me! 25 minutes later, he arrived and it was apparent that he had been sleeping. I was truly amazed that people like this still exist. It is now 2:04 AM and I am safe and secure in my home. I will be looking for a new car in November, I was considering a Mazda before because my friend speaks so highly of Clear Lake Mazda, now I am sure that my next car will be from those AMAZING people!

I bought a beautiful pre-owned Malibu yesterday from a salesperson named Kenny, and the whole experience was made so pleasant. When it came up that I needed more of a down payment than I was told I needed, they agreed to give me two weeks to come up with the second half. They absolutely did not take advantage of the fact that I was a female shopping alone. They gave it a car wash before I drove off with it. I am so glad to be able to have routine maintenance done on site as well. Thanks so much.

I've NEVER left a negative review but I can't let this go unheard.
I am extremely disappointed in Mazda all together. This location specifically made my Mazda owning experience much worse. We PHYSICALLY DROVE our vehicle to the service shop to drop off the vehicle for diagnosis and repair, and while under their possession, they let the battery die and then charged me for an entirely new battery. We returned to pick something up from the vehicle and it wouldn't unlock only to find out they had left the vehicle on and let it die. They should have recharged the car battery out of courtesy or provided a battery. How is it my responsibility to pay to fix something YOU neglected? Terrible experience. This is only one issue on top of many others that I'm choosing to overlook but if someone would like to contact me directly i will discuss.

Mazda Clearlake service department is excellent. Professional and courteous staff, timely appointments and reasonable charges and they deserve 5 stars. However, the sales, finance and title people are terrible. Getting you out the door is not a priority, getting the best deal is not important, processing the paperwork for sale and trade in takes WEEKS and the title clerk Amanda is a rude little snot who doesn't understand or care about customer service. Go elsewhere for buying, but I can recommend the service department.

I recently visited Mazda of Clear Lake to look at the 2017 Mazda CX-5. I currently owned a 2015 model and was just looking at my options with no intentions of making a purchase. When I arrived to the dealership, Otto assisted me with my shopping. He told me about all of the new features of the new 2017 model. He was very helpful in explaining all of the trim packages to me. After speaking with Otto I decided to trade in my older model. The financing office appraised my vehicle very fairly and Otto made sure I walked away with a great deal. I will definitely go back to Mazda of Clear Lake and will always use Otto for my future car buying needs. He is approachable, knowledgeable and professional. And I can tell he truly cares that each of his customers walks away knowing they made an excellent decision! The car buying process can be lengthy and pushy but I didn't feel that at all with Ottos help! Thank you!

So i was looking online for a new truck and found one for a good price and low miles so i left a message for the dealer to contact me and was contacted the next day due to the fact i left the message on a sunday. I was greeted at the door upon arrival and Alex Saldivar instantly offered a test drive for the truck. I made a appointment for the next day came in did all the paper work and was out the door in no time. I have only purchased one vehicle in my life before going to mazda of clear lake and all of my questions was answered, managed to get a warranty for the truck that originally was sold as is. No hidden fees and honestly was smoother then the first car i bought. I was impressed with the service that was provided and they will tell you things how they are. Ask for Alex Saldivar that man has been dealing cars for many years knows whats he's doing and he doesnt treat you as a number, only as one of his friends.

Negotiate price, NOT payment. The price is the most important topic when buying a vehicle. They will always try to redirect you to concentrate on your payment. The 4-square sales model they use here is designed to keep you focused on the payment and if you do the math they are always wrong. Download a vehicle payment calculator app and use it in front of them. They hate that, but who cares, it will show you how bad their fuzzy math really is. Make it a game and see how much you can save by doing so.

Go in knowing the price range you can afford and the payment will be where you need it to be. Buy based on the payment and congratulations!!. You just over paid for your vehicle.

Also, if you have a trade, refuse to negotiate the deal until they have returned the keys to your trade-in. That way you can leave whenever you want. Very common for them to hesitate giving you the keys back.

Always buy the gap insurance and get pre-approved by your bank in case the dealership s rates are too high. If you can, negotiate with your trade involved and then pull the trade when you get into the finance office and then write them a check in place of the trade. Then private sale your old vehicle to potentially get thousands more for it.

You got the internet on your phone, so look up the value of the vehicle you are interested in. Super simple to see what it s really worth.

Keep these things in mind and then buy yourself something nice with some of the money you saved... Invest the rest.

He made sure he introduced me to the gentlemen who worked in the service department, so I would know who I would be dealing with for any future service issues. He also made himself available to answer any questions I had on the car after I took it home.

Kenny and his management went out of the way to resolve the issues and make us very happy customers of Demontrond and huge fans of Kenny and his integrity. This is definitely the only place to purchase your Mazda new or used. I am in sales (High computer systems) and I can without a doubt that Kenny is a first class individual.

Every other interaction was less than pleasant- the finance advisor was very rude, and the sales manager was unprofessional and failed to deliver on all of his promises . At the end of the day the important part, a reliable vehicle, is taken care of, but I wouldn t call this place exceptional.

Chris did an amazing job making it a speedy process. He is crazy knowledgeable about all things Mazda. This was a stress free sale. I would go back in a heartbeat and deal with Chris again. He took the time to sit in the car with my daughter and myself and go over every detail, hooked her phone to bluetooth, showed her all the controls (even showed her how to replace the battery in the key fob). He assured me the extra warranty would cover whatever their warranty forever didn t cover.( it only covers the powertrain). This other platinum warranty would cover the rest of the car for the duration of the loan. 2 weeks after purchase I noticed the car had a lot of issues. Sure bet. When I took the car back to them last week they told me the extra platinum warranty I bought covered the powertrain parts only. The finace guy is not an honest man. Don t buy from this dealership.
