Mariinsky theater was a great as usual Yesterday I saw ballet Raimonda with Tereshkina and Xander Parish and the orchestra conducted by maestro Gergiev It was wonderful and beyond comparison. I spent a wonderful unforgettable day on the eve of the 315th anniversary of my beloved city!

It's difficult to describe something which is so grand and beautiful. Yes, it's best not compared to the Opera Garnier Place, Paris (the seats in Mariinsky are comfier, but the stalls incline is insufficient) as the Garnier Palace has a grander ceiling. Otherwise, Mariinsky Theatre is pretty good on its own. Acoustics are pretty good. The stage has much depth.

I saw The Nutcracker and found the show to be Magnificent and Grand.

Superb theater, all in nostalgia. The color of its building contributes to this feeling of entering another time. A real journey into the near past, the distribution of corridors and stairs makes it a small labyrinth, which leads to this splendid room decorated with balconies and lodges worthy of the Tsars! The best opera and ballet theater in Russia, incredible productions, ingenious conductors and directors. The magnificent acoustics of the room gives you the full enjoyment of sound from anywhere in the room, the quality of materials and the incredibly beautiful illuminated wall made of onyx. The buffet is also very decent with delicious pastries and good quality drinks.
Simply breathtaking inside, worth it to see the ballet. However the staff does not speak English so getting around can be confusing.

Didn't like the theater. Around the construction site, inside the dust in clubs, they did not sing very well ..... left after the first act. The rest of the theaters in St. Petersburg left an indelible impression.

Some of the finest acoustics for music that I have ever experienced. I was near the back row, and I felt as if I were in the front.
The hall of the second stage of the Mariinsky Theater is much more interesting than the hall itself. And there is a feeling that the acoustics in the hall is not the best. But overall I liked everything. New, modern building. Many wardrobe sections have been made, so you do not have to wait an hour for queues. But you stand in the buffet, you could increase the number of staff for the speed of service. Hardly had time to have a cup of coffee in the intermission.

We sat at the top, watching the Nutcracker. 2.5 hours with two intermissions. The ballet is beautiful. Seen well, but the seats are terrible. Just a bench without a backrest and armrest. It's very uncomfortable to sit.

Beware of bogus internet sites that sell tickets to ballets at the Marinsky. The ballet was great but the seating is very uncomfortable and it is much to hot!
I always liked everything, I go often, hard backs do not interfere with enjoying the performance. But now I go with a child and faced with such a situation that we did not have enough baby pillows. A 4-year-old child, of course, can t see anything without a pillow; she sat on my lap for the whole performance. Tickets are not cheap, as you know, and I don t like that I have to pay for an empty seat nearby. The theater must either provide everyone who is thirsty with pillows or let small children go for free.

It is nice place to visit .as it was first time we went to see the opera belle dance . Theme was nice and after end of show, there was long applause from Audances to honour the all artists.

Performance is good, overall atmosphere is great. But scenery, costumes, redisign of the plot is poor.
Concert venue of Peter with the best quality of performance (within the city). But instead of colorful and technically complex things they perform a bunch of boring and faded. The orchestra is usually played, balanced, but sometimes plays in Russian crushed style with wild vibrato.

We went to the ballet Giselle. Got a lot of fun, everything is beautiful royally. Restrooms clean plays nice music. They handed things over to the wardrobe and rented binoculars, which later gave us the right to pick up things from the wardrobe without a queue.
