Watched "Paquita" - lovely colourful scenes and energetic music. We had seats high up on the 4th level and could still hear and see well. Note there are two Mariinsky theatres, with the New stage as number 2.

Seen a show at the end of August, the Swan Lake. Standard price, from the last row of the audience the view of the stage was not exactly perfect. The atmosphere was quite immersive, despite the constant applaudelisse people. Bello the show and even the theater itself deserves to be seen from the inside. For the show tickets, I was redirected from the Mariinkij site to a site completely and exclusively in Russian.

The new hall is very comfortable for viewing any performances, a scene of a transformer, a modern lighting system, excellent acoustics. Good buffets, in which there are terminals that allow you to pay with a plastic card.

The State Academic Mariinsky Theater (in 1935 1992, the Leningrad Order of Lenin and the Order of the October Revolution, the Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after S.Kirov, often abbreviated as Kirov Theater), is one of the leading musical theaters of Russia and the world.

The troupe, founded in the 18th century, functioned before the revolution under the direction of the directorate of the Imperial Theaters. In 1784 1886, for the ballet and opera performances, the building of the Bolshoi Theater was mainly used (in 1896 it was rebuilt by the architect V.V. Nikol to accommodate the St. Petersburg Conservatory), in 1859 1860, on the Theater Square, by the architect A.K. Kavos was built the current building of the theater, named in honor of the Empress Maria Alexandrovna.

Beautiful theater, wonderful artists and orchestra. But some viewers do not think at all that they and their children can cover the whole view of the scene, leaning over the edge of the box. Lord you are in the theater, and not in the circus. Teach your children to respect other people. Or does it even occur to you?

The Mariinsky Theater is the best theater in Russia, but I am not a theater critic. So I ll write a little better about the prose of life: about parking and a buffet. We are not St. Petersburg and came to meet with the beautiful by car. Near the theater there is a rather chaotic parking, the area is full of cars. Without looking at the traffic signs, they gave in to herd instinct and parked the car, like everyone else.
After a wonderful ballet, there was no car. First thought - stolen (numbers are not local). But the square, which before the beginning of the ballet looked more like parking near a chain store, became virgin clean, and only numerous car owners ran around it randomly. So evacuated. There were no traffic police officers who could bring order to this chaos, reminiscent of the picture "The Last Day of Pompeii." The call to the traffic police hotline did not give anything, they promised to tell us about the fine parking only in the morning. Thanks to the taxi driver, who turned out to be local (which is rare in our time) and drove to the required parking lot. After informal negotiations at the penal parking lot, which was jammed with the cars of the theater-goers, our car was released. Tip: to meet with the beautiful, take the subway or taxi.
Still surprised sandwiches with red caviar in the buffet. Not at a price (400 rubles), but how caviar was laid on them, the egg to the egg in strict rows. They filled the whole sandwich, but each of them, like a polite resident of St. Petersburg, afraid to cause inconvenience to a neighbor in turn, did not touch the other. Buffet staff can safely open workshops on laying (laying, not spreading) red caviar.

If you do not take the beautiful history, architecture, actors and quality of the performance, and approach from the point of view of the utilitarian-philistine representation, then this is a bad theater. Inconvenient chairs, strange seating in the boxes, narrow aisles, expensive and poor buffet. Grandmothers - caretakers, Cerberus, the smell of Corvalol in the lobby. Some viewers generally have a separate topic, it is not clear why they came to watch a performance or sneak to shoot it on the phone or their loved ones in the background. In general, a sort of Corvalol, insanity, a scoop ... does not pull for 21 centuries the cultural capital of the world

For all lovers of classical music, ballet or opera, undoubtedly the place to be when you visit Saint Petersburg. Almost all the great people of the earth have performed here. The Mariinsky has not lost any of that glory of yore. I went there for both a ballet and an opera performance, both were goosebumps moments. During the breaks you can enjoy a glass of Russian champagne in the bar. Take cash with you, because credit cards are not accepted. Tickets for a performance can easily be purchased online long before your trip. A heavenly experience!

The theater of a superlative beauty and the swan lake a wonder all. Dancers, orchestra, costumes, scenery ... all perfect and wonderful

Margins Theater is one of the most famous theater in St. Petersburg. Here they always have interesting shows that play with the closed house because they are played by famous actors. Most of the time tickets have to be bought in advance because they are sold quickly due to the famous and interesting pieces on this stage.

Perfect, as always. If you want a 100% successful evening - I put on a silk dress and go to the Mariinsky. Champagne and eclairs are wonderful, the hall is magnificent. I do not think that something can surpass the school of the Mariinsky Theater. Thanks to everyone who works to create this daily miracle.

Second moment. Nothing is visible from the balconies. It is clear that everywhere it s so that they sell binoculars for this, but then again: the Mariinsky is not everywhere! Why not include binocular rental on balcony tickets? It would be modern, original ... A few more of these little things ... In general, there is not enough concern for the audience ... For one of the main theaters in the country this is important ...

Chic interior, chic ballet. BUT: narrow corridors, chairs in the stalls are on the same level and because of the head in front of the seated part of the scene is not visible ...

Very unpleasant impression. Come and expect to enjoy music and ballet. But no one warns that the temperature in the hall will be under + 30C and oxygen starvation in such stuffiness can cause fainting. And the ticket controller will be rudely kicked out first, and then he will look at the ticket and allow him to sit back without any apologies. Rotten people have no right to work in such a place. What kind of music and ballet, the evening is spoiled!

Magnificent and solemn! To begin with, I liked the price of tickets to the Mariinsky. It is accessible and transcendental, as in Moscow. We watched the ballet The Bakhchsarai fountain is a holiday that will stay with us for a long time ....
