Generally, a great place but it is seriously under resourced with regard to toilet facilities for women. If you like a drink during a performance's interval then download the app to order in advance - it makes life easier when the entire audience all descend on the bar at the same time. The auditorium is comfortable but falls a little short of what I'd call "spacious". In the winter, I'd recommend lodging your coat in the supervised cloakroom, it costs only 50p, and it will help to make your use of the auditorium more comfortable. There is a reasonable choice of bars and restaurants in very close proximity to the theatre. 'Angel' is the closest underground station and the walk is about 10 minutes.
Comfortable theatre - second circle had good views, air conditioned. Pleasant bar area and clean toilets.
Variety of shows. Best place to see dance in London.
Fantastic evening. Exiting was a bit slow but that is expected.
the best contemporary dance theatre in London I love it
Great location, modern facilities and good acustic in the room.
Nothing but good things to say about my trip with my daughter to see The Red Shoes. The sets and dancing were incredible. Easy to get to bar areas on each floor hepped in the interval too.
Went to see Pepperland which was a marvellous creation full of energy from brilliant choreography, colourful costumes, creative music based on Sgt Pepper and wonderful dancing. Highly recommended to lift the spirits.
Well organized and staff very pleasant. Nice compact theatre
Extraordinary modern Ballet. Unforgettable performances.
Had a great time seeing Swan Lake. A three tiered venue with bars and toilets on every level. Expensive drinks and confectionary as expected but helpful staff.
A great experience when it comes to a contemporary dance show, great artists, great sound and light design. I saw several shows, different types, no complaints!
Best dance theather in London. Great shows from modern to classics.
Modern world famous theatre. Great facilities and helpful staff
Came here for a work event. It was very well organised and the theatre room itself was big and the seating was tiered in a way that doesn't allow heads in front to get in your way
Great theatre with good view of the whole stage. Nice bar.
Went here with my children to watch a dance about the Amazon, loved it.
Wonderful institution - especially for more mature contemporary dancers!
Amaizing choregraphies , dancers , music just perfect !
Well organised and pleasant location. Restaurants and pubs nearby. Very convenient for underground tube connections
Nicely renovated theatre, big scene, and quite big venue. The only problem that there is nothing special around that place.
I saw Stomp here and loved it! The theater needs updating but the staff were great!
We saw Toro in the Lilian baylis Studio. The performance was amazing and the venue was perfect. There's just the right number of seats so that all views are great. We sat in row F which was ideal to see the whole stage.
It has good transport link with the nearest station, Angel station, being a walking distance away and a number of buses operating on the route
Outstanding modern theatre building running a fantastic packed programme of ballet and contemporary dance.
Fantastic venue, even had LED subtitles for foreign plays and operas.
Various shows. Very good welcome from the staff. Possible to find a good restaurant nearby.
Always a great experience. Moderately priced and a good evening out.
Nice theater! I saw a dance performance here. Unfortunately seats in the back have a blocked view of the top of the stage.
Seats very small and cramped and the bar prices are steep considering the cost of tickets.
Wonderous performance of DESH this evening. Venue always outstanding in great location with plenty of good food and drink choices nearby.
Large theater but hard to see if you dont have good seats
Really interesting South African dance company. Sadlers Wells has a great range of dance, classical, modern, UK and visiting plus it is a good modern building that works.
Attractive, modern venue for dance productions. Great sight lines from all seats. Lovely, helpful staff and clean facilities.
Excellent show integrating traditional instruments and story line with beautiful costumes and integrated intelligent words that bring out the finer culture of the Chinese group.
10 min walk from either Angel or Farringdon stations so very easy access from mainline stations. Excellent range of shows on, particularly contemporary dance. We saw Matthew Bourne's Cinderella which was absolutely brilliant. Foyer bar has a great selection of drinks and snacks available and very easy to order drinks for intervals. We sat in Stalls row Q and the view was excellent. Highly recommend a visit here.
Beautiful facility. All seats are wonderful, building history is fascinating as well. Saw Ballet Lorent's production of Rumplestiltskien...just amazing!
The theatre is quite small and is modern. Toilets are plentiful but we had to go to the basement for them which seemed a long hike with toddlers
Not the best of theatres in London. It's modern, which makes the set up of the whole complex easily accessible. The quality of seating is okay, the views of the stage are brilliant but chairs lack comfort. I couldnt slouch and sometimes felt as though my fat head was blocking the view from the person behind. Toilet breaks are a nightmare for ladies here, we were on the ground floor and the queue was ridiculous.. even for theatre standards. One woman even risked a visit to the men's toilets out of sheer desperacy. This would also lead to a sudden rush for the loos whenever an interval happened, and when the show ended. Even before the curtain was down at the finale, I was having to stand up awkwardly to let people out. Quite annoying. Good: Views, pricing, location. Bad: Toilets, bar staff
Great performance by the Birmingham ballet, innovative, great response from audience
Sadler's Wells - a fantastic place to experience some of the best dance that you are ever likely to see in London.
I attended Xuanzang's pilgrimage at Saddlers Wells. This was something different from the norm. I really enjoyed the show. The staff were pleasant. The venue has its own bus stop and therefore you don't need to drive there, unless you are either prepared to pay for the congestion charge and parking or you are able to navigate the boundary of the charging zone and find free parking after 6.30PM
Came here for a dance class on a Sunday, not much else was open at the time.
The theatre is very well laid out and staffed. Despite sitting in the obstructed view seats we were able to see the entire stage. Seats were comfortable but slightly lacked legroom for a taller person.
Lively and fun place with lots going on all the time. Great activities for kids and adults.
