Beautiful store on several levels, make your choice ....

This review is specific to the chocolate store in the Macy s taste bar. Wish we got her name but the manager of the chocolate shop was incredibly helpful!! So sweet, so accommodating, even walked us over to the additional items we were looking for. This was our last stop on the way home, and she left us with such positive sentiments about how nice and friendly everyone is here :)

Old Giant department store! Formerly Marshall Fields Flagship. Way over spaced in todays retail market. Floors go on forever! If you love to shop and have plenty of time this is the store for you.

Wide selection, great discounted prices as they are closing this location soon

This is the best maycys I've ever been to, they have good deals and the staff is nice as well!

The issue: employees and the mess. As a customer, Either no ones around or they dont like being asked for help.
They're application process is a pain and they're interviews serve as some kind of power trip for their staff. 0 stars. Wont be back.

Excellent quality of merchandise. Great location with several transportation options.

Huge store, great restaurant, good clothing selection.

Bad Customer service. They talk with sarcasm in their tone, they're misinformed, and they definitely don't make you feel welcomed. THAT'S THE MAGIC OF MACY'S!

Check out the clearance. You can always find a really good deal. Way to big of place to figure out where everything is.

Some of the widest selection ever at Macy's and great prices.

Macy's has really been disappointing lately. But this is the last straw:

Bought a jacket which was delivered to my place. WITH THE SECIRUTY TAG ON. (Not the first time!). Now I have international trip coming up so I had to drive to Macy's (closest one is downtown which is 20 mins away from me). No cashiers on 3 floors! I had to literally wonder around trying to find someone. Finally I see one person. I explain to her the situation, she literally looked like I was bothering her, no apology for inconvenience, nothing...

7 levels of woman clothing and maybe half level of mens clothing . Lol

Excellent selection. Good sales. It has great location on Michigan Ave. It has 8 floors. 7 for women and one for men and it's shared with other sections- but it has Polo, Tommy, Lucky Brand jeans, Levi's and many other name brands.

Macys always has great deals. I always end up paying less than I thought. Great selections!

You can choose, wear and buy various brand products at once

Too expensive. Not worth it unless you have loads of money

I lost my bag in shoe section, be aware of thief. Not enough security at all.

A historic building in the heart of Chicago. With great architecture that you can rarely find.

Not my favorite location due to the number of tourist clogging the aisles and so forth.

The associate was very helpful, I was in and out. They didn t have the item in the size I was looking for, however, she found a store that did. She was knowledgeable about the selection and made me feel comfortable about the purchase.

Quick stop to get beachwear on the Mag Mile. Friendly staff and Macy's delivers quality brands at or below normal department store prices.

The ladies at the Burberry Women's Fragrance counter were so helpful.

Nice prices, great collections to buy for the holiday seasons.

Nice store... sadly many use such a good store to wear and return new clothes saying some dumb reason while returning ...

The thing I love about Macy's is that I can easily get in and easily get out

A wide variety of Ready To Wear and small Housewear items. The prices are moderate to high, with emphasis on sales. Many promotions. One of the original department stores still standing.

The Macy's on State Street offers many crowd teasers for customers. For example a food court, Flower Show, Fashion Shows and a large number of vendor sponsored events. State Street is a huge store, and commits ample stock in its inventory.

You'll need to set aside a full morning or afternoon to wander through every nook and cranny. Macy's is handicapped accessible.

It is a place where I put my clothes and my shoes at good price and good quality

Mainly for women's clothes and a small amount of kitchen utensils.

My fave place to eat in the Water Tower Place! The ladies there rock, they're always having a good time and putting a smile on my face. Great sandwiches, but specifically the grilled cheese is the BEST vegetarian option in the whole mall. Go on Thursdays for $1 lemonade. So tasty.

In mens section, nobody to attend, wanted to buy many things

The air conditioning is on, but it's a shopping paradise

I read that Macy's at Water Tower Place was among the stores that suffered violence in Aug 2020. Terrible, terrible terrible. Macy's is innocent.
Humans, who use the lever of modern day social injustices to unload their shame and hate are creating injustices. These hateful acts are regressive and add fuel to the fire so to speak.
I hope and pray that Macy's, their employees and patrons experience ease and prosperity for long to come.

Good department store with lots of options and prices

I mean everything is great but customer services is so so so bad. I came here few years ago to get an engagement ring but the service was so rude we ended up buying at Tiffany's. Much better service and ring is far better quality. Today, I went to look for a necklace for my mother in law, after looking confused, no one approached me. So walking up to Pandora. I mean either pay your sales people more so they can actually do their job or just don't exist.

Macys is supposed to be equal opportunity but I will stand up and say this store is not designed for men! All the floors are for women except for the very top floor and there aren't many bathrooms for men along the way to their floor so I advise all men to head to the top floor - which is pretty big and should keep your interest for a bit - instead of being strong and tagging along with the women. Let them work their way up to top floor and meet you up there!

Always find everything that I need and the staff is amazing with helping you

Great place for men's clothing deals. Take the elevators on the far north side by the American Girl entrance straight to the 8th floor for easy quicker access.

The clothing material is super awesome and the place is trendy! I was focused on everything goin on outside and I must say it was entertaining. A little bit pricy for a guy like me but well worth the cash I guesss.

I mean it's Macy's! Just alot of stuff going on and sometimes I'm not happy with all the selection.

Went to the watch department to buy a watch. The lady who helped me out was very nice. She was patient with me while I asked her numerous questions. I wasn't quite positive if the watch I was purchasing was the one that I wanted. She said that if I turned out not to be happy with my purchase, I could come back later and return the watch. She fitted me, and all was good. However, I did decide I wanted a different watch. When I came back, the nice young lady was not there to assist me. Instead, someone named Eddy was there, and he very rudely told me that because the watch had been adjusted, it could not be returned. He was not helpful in the slightest. I asked for a manager and he refused to get me one and he just said that no matter who I talk to, they are all going to say the same thing, that the watch cannot be returned. Eddy was so rude, I'm tempted to never shop at Macy's again! I left very disappointed. I returned and someone finally got me a manager. David also told us that the watch could not be returned. The only thing he did was write down the information from the receipt so that he could reprimand the young lady who misinformed us that the watch could be returned. Which, I feel bad about because she was so nice, she only made a mistake. It just seems ludicrous that nothing could be done to help me out! Now I'm without the money that I spent on the watch, and stuck with a watch I do not like. In fact, I like the watch even less now because it is tainted with the memory of how rude Eddy was to me.

Hugeeee. Fancy. But expensive, and alil dull colors everywhere

Poorly organised. Limited selection of brands. Some stands were never staffed (e.g. origins) during the 90 minutes I was there. Definitely not my favourite Macys

Excellent place to make purchases. A huge variety and you find many things with discounts. It's worth it.

I went in with my girl and she was pampered from the time we got there until the time we left

I was just at the male shoe section of Macy's on the top floor.The supervisor was most rude obnoxious and dismissive.CertAinly not a place I would shop at again

The staff was really patient with us, and over all the items were good, im wearing the shoes I bought right now, would go again

Awful, awful service would give -100 stars if I could. I was conned by Macy's today. I placed an order for same day pick up, customer services admitted fault that they had put the order under ship-to-store to arrive several days later. They had the item at the store but refused to let me pick it up unless I paid them the full amount again, which I couldn't afford to do. Super shady. 2 hours later customer service had called the store manager (apparently it was at the store manager's discretion whether to let me pick up what I'd already paid for?!) who also refused what shouldn't have even been a question. So they have ruined the special event for which I placed the order, wasted hours of my time, and are guilty of false advertising. It would have been such an easy fix but they just don't value their customers. Do NOT fall for their con if you need something same day!! I doubt I'm the only one they've pulled this with, so stay away!

Again, Macy's disappoints. Neither State Street nor Water Tower location had the advertised item I was looking for.
