Had an unpleasant experience dealing with the way their system did a return. Talked to a manager there by the name of Alicia and she was able to straighten everything out. She was very pleasant, helpful and considerate. Macy's NEED more people like her working there. Don't get me wrong, this store (although I only shop in the Ralph Lauren and Nike section) overall is ok. It would be nicer though if any and everyone you dealt with is as helpful and friendly as Alicia.

By far, worst customer service of any Macy's I've been in. I had several hundred dollars of clothes I wanted to buy, all employees were congregating and talking... Registers closed,,. Actually,. ABSENT OF ANY SERVICE. Not a single employee acknowledged me or cared my arms were full of clothes... I wasn't even visible to them. Generally below average service at this location, but horrible this time. Dropped my clothes on the floor and left.

I am hesistant to give a negative review, but after spending three hours at the Macys at the Water Tower in Chicago, I had nothing but negative experience from every department I was in. It began with wanting to purchase mens cologne and could not find anyone to help me. I walked to a different department and finally found a guy who was not real happy to ring me out. I then went to the department that sells gloves for women. That was worse. She talked looking down and would not give me eye contact. She could not answer my questions and then disappeared and I never saw her again. I then proceeded to the mens department to purchase ties. This by far was the worse experience. I had to walk away for some time so that my attitude was not seen by the one "helping" me. She never looked at me, was rude, no more then rude..... She charged me wrong, never gave me a reciept and left out one of the items I was purchasing. She took a total of 23 minutes to check me out. The whole point though was her rudeness and coldness. I love Macys. It's one of my favorite stores, but after tonight I will not return to the one at the Water Tower. Oh my word.... what a pathetic experience.

This is an extremely mentally unwell institution. Macy's has consistently been a very mentally ill experience for myself as a MSW candidate for a Social Work degree from Loyola University Chicago, a Master's degree candidate to become a LCPC from Northwestern University, as a YouTube/Google affiliate, and as someone with over 30 jobs of professional experience. It seems that the people at this establishment consistently exhibit mentally ill behaviors without putting more effort into deciphering their surroundings and figuring out how to address situations without causing other people mental illnesses. I have been continually stalked at this location in the past and I do not tolerate this behavior at all. These reviews affect whether the 10,000+ individuals I have personally met will ever go to Macy's overall. Improve my own experience if you ever want any business at any Macy's locations. I take an extremely rigid approach when it comes to reprimanding this business.
