SHOCKINGLY BAD. STAY AWAY. (UNLESS YOU LIKE CLOWNS). AN ABSOLUTE CIRCUS. THE MANAGER LIED TO MY FACE! I'D GIVE NEGATIVE STARS IF POSSIBLE. GREETED WITH EBONICS, HARASSED, AND WAS DISRESPECTED. PATHETIC. I WILL NOW PURSUE LEGAL MEASURES.

The Macy s inside the water tower mall is nice and everything but every time I go the workers constantly forget to remove the security tags which is why when everyone leaves the store the doors start beeping and don t stop. I assume it sucks having to wear an expensive clothing item with a security tag, it wouldn t make sense for one to go back to downtown to get a security tag removed.... it s an issue that can be easily fixed

There has been a gradual, but noticeable decline in the overall upkeep and presentation of this store since Macy's purchased it in 2005. The actual sales areas themselves look great. However, the extra things -- the special parts that made going to THIS store so special at the holidays are simply not the same.

The holiday windows used to have a distinct annual theme that told a story. I remember Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Snow White, Cinderella. Those aren't around anymore. The windows now have a loose, generic theme, but they kind of look the same each year. I don't remember anything distinct about them over the last 8+ years.

The mailbox where kids write and drop off letters to Santa used to have a nicely decorated table and chairs for the kids to sit at as they wrote. Now? Plain plastic table and a single plastic chair. Oh, and the back of the mailbox itself is so worn, as my son pointed out to me, the back pops off and you can see all the letters that have been dropped off.

The bathrooms are in similar repair. Stall doors missing, locks broken, toilets out of order. Hard to believe for what should be the flagship store for the area.

The only thing that changes about Santa Land each year is the year printed on the buttons they hand out and the price of the pictures ($17 for one printed photo now). Overall, there just doesn't seem to be a lot of effort and care put into those things anymore.

Perhaps this is inevitable. After all, the other stores that used to have displays on State Street are now long gone. Macy's used to be an integral part of our annual trek into Chicago during the holidays. Next year, we'll likely skip it. There are better experiences to be had elsewhere.

Terrible service and attitude. I asked for a particular product and was told they no longer carry it. The sales clerk then turned and went over to another person. That was beyond rude. I can categorize that as stupid. No wonder retail is dying!

I went to pick up my Movado watch that I had my battery replaced. I asked a lady if she could help and she said it wasn't her department and walked away. I believe it was disrespectful, bad customer service and for a store of high standards very disappointing. I hope one bad apple doesn't doesn't spoil the rest of the batch

If I could give negative grade, I would do it without doubt. After I went the second floor, the male saleman made me feel so bad about Macy. The saleman told me I could not try any shoes unless I want to buy it. The reason is if I tried the shoes on, the shoes would get dirt, and other person won't buy it. This is the worst reason I have never heard

On July 3rd 2019, I had returned Conair GS2 Complete Steam travel Fabric Steamer on 8th floor at Macys Water Tower. I just poured the water in it, it hard to see how much water is in tank so I returned it, I tried pour out the water but in accident it is still a little water in it, it did not happen on my way to store just in store. I really did not use it but lady who work in Macys, she know Spanish ( her right hand not normal) she is very rude, she yelled at me and said that " you used it and threw it on the floor and said it is garbage". I am really shocked.
