Love Macys on State Street, I can always find something to buy, although this time I was returning something. The customer service is usually very good.
Far to over priced for what they offer and you can find better products at Ross and Burlington
A beautiful house, which unfortunately has a significant renovation backlog. Compared e.g. really disappointing with the KaDeWe in Berlin. There is an urgent need to invest here.
This is the only Macy s to shop at. Not only a beautiful building and currently under renovations the staff is very knowledgeable. Rose in Men s wear very helpful ask for her. Ask for Derek in the suit department because Derek has been in the suit business 40 years and knows style and fit. He is definitely worth the wait.
The lower level has the cafeteria and there are two Starbucks inside this Macy s.
Tip: if you go down at 3 o clock any wrap sandwiches or salads are half off.
Normally you can find anything you want and there is usually someone to help you if you need to find something. I love how reasonable the prices are.
The brunch buffet at the Walnut Room was excellent, great variety.
It has a great selection of various brands and good customer service.
You can buy yogurt from the basement food court at Macy's
Macy's is awesome place for all family's
You will find the stuff that you need for any occasion
We are only here once a year at Christmas time. We come in for the Christmas lights and check out the State Street windows. Usually use the rest room here and go up to the 8th floor to see the extra large Christmas tree. Great traditions and fond memories of past years. Pretty expensive place, but fun to stop and look around. I really do miss the old state street windows though at Christmas time. Too modern. Fun and creative, but too modern. Store is nice, clean and people are friendly, even on a Friday night before Christmas. Nice place.
Large inventory, almost overwhelming Lol,polite and helpful staff
Big srore in downtown, nice collection, less crowded
Good selection of merchandise...but they could offer more for larger sized guys!
Experience was ok. No one really asked if I needed help and the person who rang me out was a bit cold and kind of rude. But it was fine.
Beautiful building and display. You feel like your walking into a department store from the 40's. Staff is on piont and every brand you could want in one place. Best shopping experience you could ask for.
How does one rate the original Marshall Fields despite being owned by Macy's who does nothing to replace or sustain that original personality? The building is always nostalgic and great to visit - but the Macy's budget cuts are apparent everywhere. Maintenance sucks and food quality in the Walnut Room doesn't compare to what it once was.
Nice place to buy all kinds of brand.. a bit pricey I'd say.
I always like every Macy's place as I find this a good place to visit when you feel like having good times with your family even friends. The place is so big and crowded but never had a problem with this place even when it is crowded. Many items are on sale that you will love for sure. The place is clean and well maintained.
Wide range of apparels available in multiple brands.
I want to commend Ms. Randi of the shoes Department. She went beyond the call of duty in assisting me as I was shopping for shoes very late in the evening on Monday, 10/28/2019 at 7.48.
She helped me with no grudges or attitude as she had Togo back and forth in trying to find the right fit and style for me. I will shop in this particular store again because of her dedication.
Thanks
Fatuma.
Awesome! Great sales! Polo Dept staff treats you like a king! Women's shoe Dept, Super.. Excellent Customer Service! The prices are right.
The Macy's Lids the best! Always a sale for you to save $$$$$! The staff is so professional and friendly. Treat yourself to the best one stop shop store with the best staff throughout the store.
Don't waste your time here. I went in to look for a watch and the salesperson first took her time to walk over to help, then didn't know prices. She couldn't explain why one watch was $200 vs a $400 model, except to say one was simpler and the other had "more going on." If you don't know the products, Macy's, get outta retail. Or keep it up and you'll be out of business soon enough.
Great selection. Staff was available to assist throughout my time here.
Spaces huge lot of marc clothing at discounted prices
Had lunch in the LL food court. Surprisingly good salmon with mac n cheese. Cost low compared to other downtown dine-in spots. Counter service was adequate.
Still wish this was a Marshall Field's, the history can be see throughout.
They have everything you need. Their sales are amazing and the food is delicious. It's located in downtown Chicago, one of the most beautiful places in the city.
Lovely Flower Festival: journey to paradise love it~...
Always good choices and prices. Wish we had them in the UK
Great historical building. Amazing window displays. Ceilings are stunning. Throwbacks to Marshall Fields throughout the building. Much larger than an average Macy's.
We love going to Macy's at Christmas time. The hustle and bustle of shoppers and the feel of Christmas. The windows are always displayed with fund Christmas themes of past and future. The large tree in the Walnut Room is always one of our photo shoots. We love the Holiday Lane were they have all the trees, ornaments, nutcrackers and wonderful displays. We buy an ornament each time we go. The candy department is wonderful during the holidays as well. Overall if you are in Chicago and it's Christmas you can't pass up going to Macy's.
Mind boggling variety of everything across multiple floors with a selection you can't necessarily get anywhere else. I do like that the escalators were centrally located, but the crowds were insane and the prices were a bit higher than other stores. Great place to shop for the holidays as long as you can find a good sale.
Good selection, love the food court. Terrible customer service.
It's always a good experience to shop at Macy's State street. There is a great variety and they always offer you good discounts.
I just always feel like I have to check my purse at the door. Overpriced as usual, so I always come in and leave out pretty quickly.
One of the best Macy's in the country. 10 floors of product
Gross bathrooms, layout is hard to get around. Few employees in sight.
A beautiful shopping mall of Chicago downtown, located in the loop.
Store is filthy. Dust near escalators is insane. Brass has been ignored on elevators. Floors have gum, trash on them. Nevermind the merch is meh and the floors are crowded with it. Macy's is failing to give me any reason to shop there. I am loyal to Amazon. Visit and make your own decision.
The staff was nice, but there were roaches in the fitting rooms.
#30daychallenge wonderful place to find gifts. always has deals. reasonable prices for you.
Always disorganized, employees not very helpful. The space feels old no matter how many "remodels" they do. They do have some good sales so I still shop here. Also the buffalo chicken tender sandwich they have in the basement food court is delicious!
Check out the sale section in the women s shoes department
Didnt find homecoming dress was looking for but had other items
