Macy's us a great place to shop. It was a budget palate from sales to High in designers. Macy's make Returns easy and simple.

No parking. Parked in the lot across the street and was there an hour.... it was $28. It's fall in Chicago, doesn't require ac or heat in the store. The heat had to have been on 80, because it was burning hot in the store. Even the workers were fanning and sweating. They have sales, but it's still expensive. I'd say shop online, you'll be able to look and not have to pay so much for parking or be disappointed that they have nothing for you.

Really huge place. I that you're looking for isn't here it just doesn't exist! LOL

Got a few items on sale...Otherwise macys prices are abit high for what you get.

Macy's is a good for a few things to go shopping for clothes, shoes, perfumes they so many different things to chose from. it also has a small food court so you can enjoy lunch or dinner or just a snack or if you enjoy Starbucks they have one located down stairs next to the food court. Please be aware of your surroundings don't leave bags or purse phone or wallet unattended. Employees of Macy's are very kind & helpful they always come to work with a smile.

Macy's is located in the old Marshall Fields building. It spans the entire block in downtown Chicago. It's huge. Be ready to spend a little while there when you go, and bring the bank because it's not cheap.

I've always been a fan of Macy's. They have amazing deals and a good selection. This store is a whole new experience, it's huge, each department takes up an entire floor. Helpful staff everywhere. I would love to go back when I have a lot more time to shop.

Its a huge Macy's store. It several stories tall and it has all the sections one can look for. Customer service is good. You will most likely find something that you are looking for with ease. They have plenty to offer. Its a huge store. Clean too

I love to visit this place on New Year holidays! it's so comfortable, so much festive things, beautiful decorations and Christmas trees! many people but everyone smiles ... communicate ... these days Macy's becomes like a fairy tale! here you can always buy original and extraordinary, fashionable, designer things. and when you want to rest ... or have a lunch ... that is, cozy cafes on the 7th floor or on the lower level

At Christmas time, is the best place to get Christmas stuff!!

Monumental rich architecture store. The staff is super friendly and helpful. There are many departments to visit.

Every December when I am in Chicago, I make a trip to Macy's and ALWAYS have a great time shopping. They have always had just what I was looking for and the staff are simply wonderful. VERY helpful and friendly people.

This Macy's is a lot of fun to walk around in and they always have good sales in at least one of their departments.

Absolutely beautiful! I visited every floor. Love all of the original structure that has been left intact. Christmas tree on top floor was magnificent! The window displays and all the decorations were amazing!

Black Friday was amazing and really like the way shop is organized

Wonderful store! you can find anything, so it's perfect for Christmas shopping. Algo, during that time of year you can fin lovely apperel design.

Yesterday, Friday, Dec. 2nd, I spent hours trying to reach the sheet department. All in vain. I never was able to speak to a person. The last sheets I bought there included Lauren that were beautiful and comfortable; however, I had to replace the contour sheets because they became threadbare. Yesterday, I wanted to buy flat sheets because they are now threadbare. It would not be able to patch or sew them because the whole area is gone. Today, I finally spoke with a person and I am not certain what took place because I could not understand her speech. The volume was more than adequate but it was her speech. This was very frustrating for me....I just wanted to talk with a person, preferably one whose speech I could understand.

As a long time customer of Fields and now Macys, I expect better service and just hope that some sheets arrive.

Its nothing like Marshall fields use to look,even for the holidays, or even after.

Macy's... While the idea of "Macy's" is wonderful in practice, especially at the old Marshall Field's store, it's very different in reality. Went in today for a specific item only to be shuffled around to various floors looking for an open register. Once I found an available associate she was crabby and border line rude. Don't expect a basic 'thank you.' This usually encapsulates my experience at Macy's most of the time. If today turns out to be my last visit there, I'd be fine with that.

It is unfair to judge the store by it's service at Christmas time. I've worked in retail, I know what it's like.
I will say that The Walnut Room needs to kick it up a few notches. The service is either so quick that you feel like they can't get you out fast enough or you sit there wondering if your server forgot about you & went home for the day. And the past few years the food looks, tastes & has the temperature of a plate that had been dished up awhile ago in anticipation of my order.

huge selection, sometimes hard to find a check out counter

I ordered a couch for my living room at Macys State street. Scheduled the delivery for Sept 1st b/w 9AM - 12 noon, The salesman confirmed the availability. I booked the elevator in my building for the date and discarded old couch and took a day off from work to receive delivery. On the day of delivery I did not hear anything on the scheduled time. I called waited for hours to talk to someone and found out that the couch will be delivered on dec 1st. Now they are not picking up the phones or calling me back. Liars , scammers and fraud.

If you want to buy something accessible to the pocket, you do not find it well ... it has several apartments to visit ... if you want to visit the place you must have a lot of time ... personally there are better stores with better offers ... good luck

This place is huge! 9 floors of shopping I think. Although it's getting kind of old. Like Sears

The Best Macy's of all, I think. I've been others in NY, Boston, Buffalo...even in Guam. But this is the BEST.

Visited Chicago in early December and couldn't miss the beautiful holiday display. Between the themed windows and the large golden trumpets, it was hard not to get in the Christmas spirit!

Great store, kind of sparsely staffed though. Good mid to high end selection, and nicely done.

High quality brand shopping in a nice and historic building

It's a giant Macy's with everything under the sun. Plus food on 6th floor is good.
