Hate State street store Chicago because buy bag policy

The best for shopping & finding what you need & want. One shop location & I love it - my Macy's.

Macys is wonderful its in the heart of Downtown Chicago good shopping, atmosphere, food, and fun.

This store is being remodeled so there are things are moved around. This week is the Flower Show. Not as good as years past. The show is all over the store than in one spot.
The staff was still super nice as always.

They closed the Frango Cafe to do the flower show activity. Was very sad about that. The Walnut Room was beautifully decorated with student dresses, but they had a buffet going on. Ended up leaving and eating at home.

Good inventory on many great items. More discounted sales items as well.

Remodeling is going but still showing beauty in this historical building. A must visit

When we always go to Macy's it is great!Today when I went it was closing so we were going to save the clothing to save to buy it another day so we went to save it and we asked the lady to please save it and see rolled her eyes and I thought it was so rude and she only took one minute that she wasted VERY RUDE!

A bit deserted at the time of my visit but I found a couple of good deals. Not many employees to help you but still a god visit.

Easy to ship almost impossible to pay for your purchase. Sales people are 50/50. Some are amazing some are rude amd so sliw they are going backwards

Tree at the Walnut Room was beautiful. Ornaments a bit of a disappointment compared to previous years.

Was amazed at how easy it is to get lost on this floor.

Had drinks at the bar while the kids shopped. Giant Christmas tree. Walnut room. Excellent Christmas decorations in the windows, we joined the crowds on the street to gaze in amazement at them.

We just spent 3 hours on floor 5 and 4 was never waited on, could not even find a associate, to buy something.

Just an essential holiday shopping experience. The windows at Macy's and the swarm of shoppers in the store. It's Christmas.

Macy's offers a wide variety. I love the historical architecture of Macy's on State St. Downtown Chicago; however, I wish they would work on cleaning it up. I always manage to spend money there.

Layout is true to a department store; sprawling and organized by collection, which is not an efficient way to shop when you're looking for something specific. In my case, I was looking for men's dress shirts. They were located at approximately right different spots scattered around the second floor, and one spot down on the first floor. Maybe the first floor consolidated the selection, but if you want to try any on you have to go back up to the second floor. The escalators weren't working, and the elevator call button didn't seem to work either. In all, a very confusing shopping experience, with mediocre prices; I didn't but anything but I did at the next store down the block

The place is huge! Everything in one place and the prices are great.

Beautiful store. Kinda expensive, but not over the top. Lots of varieties to choose from.

Unhappy that the Starbucks didn't have bogo on my item, medicine ball

One of the best Macy's stores - even better than NYC in my opinion. The elevators are slow if you have a stroller, but has a lot of attractions during the holiday months.

I enjoy this Macys much more than the one on Mich Avenue. Its just easier to shop around in, but its difficult to get help with the limited amount of staffing. The staff that is there, are wonderful when given the chance to customer service its guests. It's an older historical Marshal Fields monument, and just ok with people that see physically challenged. A lot of times the elevator is out of order because the building is so old! Anyway, I purchased my winter coat at this location and will be returning.

It's a great building, with incredible history. When you're in therw ahopping look at the architecture. I'm not much for shopping, but Macy's is always has something foe everyone.

I placed a online order. I purchased this beautiful fux coat. I got an email of confirmation and the receipt said we will hold your item until "this day". I called Macys on State street to let them know I might not be able to make it and what will happen if i dont get their on time. Nobody answered. I dialed different departments and finally one person answered. This rude lady telling me she couldnt help me. Needless to say I made it on time and got my beautiful fux coat. I just dont think I will be ONLINE shopping with macys any more.

Exceptional service in putting together a Christmas hamper from this elegant gorgeous store.

One of the largest stores in the Macy's chain. If I'm not mistaken, the second largest. Stay here in Chicago, if you are in the city be sure to stop by! It has several floors, I think 8 in all. It offers everything you can imagine ... It has great brands, it has sales, in short it has everything. Important to say: search the Internet first for discount coupons that the store offers!

I buy Frango's candy every year for Valentine's Day. Macy's have a good selection of clothes, and most items are reasonably priced

Well the atmosphere was okay. I didn't feel welcome when I entered. When I got to the take out the lady made me feel a little better when she was able to help me. Overall their customer service to white people were great, but when I walked in with my debt card I wasn't able to make my purchase. And now I wont have a gift for myself because I can't even spend my own money that I work for to buy myself a gift for Christmas. Thanks very much racism.

Highlights of this Macy's of Chicago are the suspended clocks that are in the corners and the dome made by Tifany, incredible space!

The Christmas window display are not as good as Marshall Fields use to display in the windows. It's a shame.

The largest Macys in Chicago. An ordered and varied store of 7 floors plus a basement. Very good looking and interior design. With very good discounts.

I think Chicago is one of the biggest. Here you find everything you can imagine, the best brands with department store value. For our currency the items end up not having much advantage in shopping, but look for macaws with up to 70% and make the fair.

Great deals and a wide selection of clothing items.

And iconic landmark on State Street. During the holiday season they roll out the red carpet so be sure and check it out. Also they have a really good restaurant in the basement of this building

I used to hate Macy's...but over the years, it has worn me down.

I absolutely love it.

Now let me say this...customer service here is mediocre at best.
BUT the sales, the selection, the price at this Macy's is GREAT!

They have everything. Dont waste your time at Water Tower, just come here!

Love the old Marshall Fields space with great architectural gems throughout. Food choices galore. Great decorations for the holidays.
