Love this store. There are great deals in every department. I wished the State St store had put in more effort in their holiday decor. It looked a little blah...not so festive.

Giving it 3 stars because they have plenty of registers but only 2 seem to be open. This causes long lines and only one associate seems to be working. I like their merchandise they have a variety of items. But honestly prefer to order online

You can find there a lot of promotions and everything that you want to gift anyone on the Christmas. They are amazing and gentle. You can go by train from the airport if you pass only the day in Chicago

Large variety....price could be more reasonable ....but it's good to browse through different large number of fashion cloths and accessories . It's a huge place and multiple floor with specific categories.

Consistency in a brand plus the store is beautiful.

Sad to see the decline of department stores in the US

Maybe brick and mortar stores like this beautiful store wouldn't be closing down all over the country if one could actually go in and get one's size in stock. EVERY TIME I go in and attempt to buy a pair of Levi's they don't have my VERY common size. Thanks for forcing me to shop online instead of supporting my local store. Useless.

Lovely Place, especially during christmastime. They have everything!

This Macy's is gorgeous and HUGE. One complaint is the restrooms are in pretty bad shape. Otherwise it's a unique shopping experience and a really fun building to explore!

This building was the Original Marshall Fields so it has some historical significance. It is multi floor with an atrium. There is a food court in the basement that was remodeled over the last few years to keep up to date. Basically, each floor is divided into different sections almost like its own store within a store. It is a nice store just to browse and see. Other than that the prices are about what you would expect in comparable stores.

Mac make up rep treated me so badly I don't think I will be returning to this store

Big and showy, if you've not seen it check it out once. It's not a place I'd ever buy anything from, it's all for looks.

Beautiful! Every woman s spot, one can literally get lost at this Macy s. Staff are helpful and the store is always clean. Busy, but it is Macy s after all.

It is smaller than New York, but on its floors you can find clothes, shoes and accessories for men and women. Downstairs the perfumes and beauty products.

Good special nice place to spend a good walk seeing its gardens

Good place, good service. This is the best Shopping mall. I spent more time looking at I spent more time looking at furniture; in this store everything is good. Good quality, friendly service, good prices, good products.

Nice store. Unfortunately because there is a remodeling process it is difficult to find some stuffs.

Macy's was fun and found some nice things. The young man in the shoe department was only on job for a couple days and he was very busy yet helpful. They could have used more help so not to keep shoppers waiting so long. But he was great. Overall it was a good experience.

I visited the store and found a thermos to drink water at a special price of nice color. Vaye visit search shop some product so you never forget Macy's

Great history, but the details were worn out and old looking, and I cod not buy a jacket and pants in a normal size. This store needs investment and better inventory management

The Walnut room is a great experience. Love the food. The staff is great as well.

I'm a limo driver the name of the company is Dan Ryan. I drive a lot of people to Macy's on State Street. It's the old Marshall Fields building. Very historic. Inside is marvelously beautiful gorgeous walls.

I like the cosmetic counters (Estee Lauder is my favorite) and the ceiling the best! If you're from out of town and you are only visiting Chicago, take the elevator to see the ceiling up close! It's colorful and beautiful & worthy of photographs!

I love this place. You can find everything, all sizes, styles and brands. All in one place.

Love all the sites building land scape and water work, these are things in the United States people should see, these are the little getaway that doesn't break the bank.

It's never been or felt the same since the name change. Bring back MARSHALLFIELDS AND COMPANY watch the people coming in and sales go up! Best clock EVER!!!

You can found anything and everything in this one store. In Last act section you can find lots of discounted clothes.

Great place to do some shopping good prices and friendly staff

Huge store, lots of stuff, friendly staff. The candy section in the pedway is awesome.

The purse section is a disaster. Only the nice designer sections that are locked in place look orderly. The rest of the bags are thrown on tables in big piles making it difficult and not desirable to even want to pick through, not to mention the damage these bags suffer from being piled on top of each other. Who would buy a purse that was originally $400 marked down to $160 with scratches and stains on it?

Fantastic store. I walk through this store everyday since the basement connects to Block 37 (CTA red and blue lines). This is a historic building and one can find pretty everything at Macy's. The store has a great collection of various designer brands. The food courts in basement and 7th floor are good too.

It s very comfortable to stroll around, but it s too big to finish shopping!

I appreciate how Macy's respects the past-Chicagoans and Midwesterners adored the Marshall Field's brand for over a Century. You can see Macys respect and tribute to that in many ways if you look.
The Christmas display in the outside windows this year was back to pre Macy's brilliance. A great place to take the kids too.

I was reticent to shop here for years after they took over my Beloved Marshall Field's, but I have had the most amazing experiences with their expansive men's department, the customer service and quality of clothing. You can tell the people working there enjoy their job and it shows.

Always running sales. The original Marshall Field's architecture and finishes are grand.

The place is good and has discounts, but there are homeless people asking for money inside at the fountain

Good prices and quality merchandise. Beautiful pieces in clearance area in fine jewelry at phenomenal discount prices. Sales person to goto is Roberto he knows his stuff and he's very patient.

By all means much in one of the most famous and old US retail chains!
