A beautiful department store dating from 1907. Many parts of the building are left in their original state, leaving a strong impression.
The offer is like other Macy's, so full program from A to Z. Many discount promotions.

The outside Windows were decorated for Christmas. You should definitely take a look at them. The store is nicely decorated for the holidays. The 6th floor has the Christmas decorations. If you want to do the walnut room you will have to have someone from your party that is willing to wait. You have to wait in line to get on the list to wait for a table like a 2 hour process.

It will take time for me to adjust to the changes in merchandise selection and quantity of selection. At one time you could find everything at Macy's and this not the truth anymore. I will give them props on decor/staging inside the store. It's bright, vibrant and makes you want to shop at Macy's.

The decorations and tree inside are absolutely beautiful for the Christmas season. But I m a bit disappointed in the windows they can and have done better in the passed it seems as if every year they get lamer and lamer. Haven t visited Santa land just yet.

I have always been a fan of Macy's, so my review is slanted to a very positive review. We recently moved and purchased an apartment full of furniture. We were happy with the sales folks. We are also very happy with the delivery which was on time as promised. All furniture arrived in perfect condition. An honorable mention of there Frango Chocolate's.

The magic of macy's is a lie. Marshall Field's was a much better store, with better designers. Macy's coupons exclude every single item in the store if you read the fine print except for their overpriced private labels like Martha Stewart, Donald Trump who's anti gay, London Fog, Alfani, Green Dog, among other private label crappy quality clothing that falls apart very quickly.

absolutely love coming to this Macys location they have several floors, let's begin with the first one, they have a large purse section as well as in the center makeup of high end brands, they have fine jewelry, as well as costume, they also sell men's carry all, men's wallets, and suitcases. the 2nd floor you will find active wear and basically the men's section. 3rd name brands such as bcbg maxazria, demin, jr. department ect. 4th active wear, bridal shop, fur coats swim wear, sports wear shoes and plus sizes. 5th childrens department in towards the back a few toys, dresses, undergarments, petite section ect 6th fine rugs, furniture, floor accessories, decorations and mattresses. and the basement there is a food court. there is also a restaurant just forgot what floor it's in. I recommend coming to this location a checking it out if you come from out of state. they have alot of selection.

Nice.

So sad. I haven't been here for at least 5 years and it has declined dramatically. Such a loss of losing Marshall Fields and Macy's has done a horrible job of keeping the place up. It was such a beautiful historic place and now it is just shabby. Maybe K Mart will take it over next.

I like shopping at Macy's. They can have great sales, but they do have too many expensive clothes. Sometimes the service is not great, but I enjoy going there. I would prefer going to other places, but I still like gong there.

I am so disappointed from this store specially on State Street. The people who working there are very slowly and lazy. I never seen before in my life something like this. The management there have to take care about that!

Macy's State Street always has an event going on. You just missed their annual flower show. Watch for Fashion Shows, pop-up stores, vendor presentations or pick up your internet purchase. Not all events are about sales or merchandise, so check the internet, or call them occasionally.

Did you know that Macy's lower level has a food court? Never miss having lunch next to the fountain in The Walnut Room restaurant.
Make it a Holiday tradition to enjoy the Christmas windows on State Street.

That aside, everytime I visit Macy's there is a large selection of clothes...that Store is HUGE. ADDITIONALLY you'll find men's, women's, and the children's department. It has a beautiful furniture department, and a great selection of oriental carpets. Linens. Bath. Shoes. Handbags. Jewelry. The listq
goes on and on.

Handicapped Accessible, though sometimes the isles are narrowed with clothes racks. Sales Associates are friendly, and sometimes hard to find in this work of art enormous building. Enjoy the Tiffany Domes and open floor story in the center of building.
Spend the days

Love this Macy s. Great selection. As soon as I walked in I immediate wanted to shop. Gray Santa in the children s dept and only waited about 10 mins to see him. Walnut room is beautiful and totally worth going to see especially with the beautiful Christmas tree. Found some good wines downstairs.

Anything you do, don't miss Macy's when you visit NYC. This would be an experience like none other.
The entire city block as one store is overwhelming and You get some really great deals at times as well.

If you are a shopper don't miss this place.

Really sad. I remember as a kid visiting here when it was Marshall Fields. It was so grand.

Today the floors are stained, chipped, broken. Merchandise is in disarray. Some of the unique high-end features, like the Thomas Pink shirt boutique - gone. They've let this go - would really love to see it make a comeback.

This is one of the places that we always come when I'm in town at Christmas time. The Macy's Windows have been a tradition of mine for years and years now. Also, just the beauty of the Interior anytime of the year is wonderful, but especially at Christmas time the Halls are wonderfully decked.

Always enjoy shoppi ng at this historic location. Especially impressed with the great tree in the Walnut Room. Spectacular tree!! Great selection of merchandise throughout the store. Christmas Windows on first floor were not as spectacular as in past years.

A huge store, the bathrooms are horrible and hard to find if you don't know the place. Hint, closest restroom upon entry is up the escalator, on the 2nd floor, escalators are towards the middle of the building.

This Macy's looks like it has not been updated in about 40 years and hasn't been cleaned in about 20. It was huge and pretty dirty. The carpet was old and matted, and needed desperately to be vacuumed. The entire store was about 12 floors tall but only 8 were used, the elevators were old and felt like they could give out at any minute. The same goes for the escalators. There were several restaurants/places to eat throughout the store. It felt odd that the entire store was seemingly empty but the main restaurant was packed.

Great
