A haven...amazing place to shop for the holidays and catch a great meal in between...they have amazing restaurants inside macys now!

Here is a good place to go shopping, and you can find A & F here....also a good yogurt shop. and a very big Lego store...
If you come here don't forget to come and take a look!

There is no denying that this is a special place to shop. If you're visiting Chicago and are nearby, definitely visit.

EXCEPTIONAL customer service provided by Veronica! I miss the hell outta Marshall Field's, but Macy's is doing their best to retain and attract customers.

Nice store Sports bar in the basement for non-shoppers that got dragged out shopping.

In my first visit I went wrong, and expressed my dissatisfaction through this channel, and as they did not respond I considered it incongruous to issue a complaint and leave it unfinished, so I went to Macy's of the state street, and asked to talk with the supervisor, I was treated excellently by two ladies to whom I applied for his name to give him his fair recognition Zulema and Teresa.
They recognized that the error existed, they gave me back the difference and everyone in Santa Paz.
As I always say: things are arranged using logic, not arguing and much less fighting.
Thank you very much Macy's, Thank you very much Zulema and Teresa.

Easy to shop. Not too many people. Lots of merchandise left. Go support brick and morter stores. They need it!

I am one of those husbands who avoid visiting Macy's at any cost. But I had to surrender to my wife's will (as usual), and ended up enjoying buying new Converse which by the way, were harder to get than I thought. They were cheaper than Amazon!

This is their flagship store downtown and it is huge. There are a couple of restaurants, and the lower level features a Starbucks as well as other good food options. There's also a gourmet candy store, and you can still get Frango mints and chocolate here. I've always had great service in the men's departments here.

Great selection on everything. More variety on designer clothing than suburban Macy's. Also full furniture gallery. One stop shop truly

This is a nice tourist destination as well as common department store. There's not much you won't find here. Stock up on Frango mints! Ask at the tourism counter for a brochure detailing all the historic things you can find here.

Cashier was really nice. Im not sure why someone followed me around the whole time. I planned to pay for my purchase. It was really funny because i turned around and started to follow him. I wondered how he liked it.

Everyone must go here. It is way more than just a Macy's. This was originally a Marshal Field's. Inside there is a ceiling by Tiffany which dazzles and delights viewers. I've tried to take photos, but you just have to go see it for yourself. Also, check out the Walnut Room upstairs. At Christmas, this holds a beautifully decorated tree that is always worth checking out.

Gives a good connection to the historical part of Chicago with it's architecture and history, although it's getting lost now.

I love the variety of clothing and products you find here and the vendors' willingness to speak to you in Spanish.

Located in a historic restored building on State Street in downtown Chicago. Walking around the various floors of the building is a tour itself. Beautiful mosaic ceiling and indoor fountain, and the famous "Clocks on State"!

This is a classic store that used to be Marshall Fields. Everyone should stop and look at the window displays during the holidays. Everything there is overpriced be a good experience including rhe Walnut Room on the 7th floor.

Macy's is a good place to go anytime of the year went through summer spring whatever so you can get good deals on clothes you'll read anything they have going on to be able to save money throughout the holidays so please go there today and check it out and see how you like it and you might want to tell your friends happy holidays everyone

Be careful in the men's washrooms. There is homosexual acts going on in the stalls. Guys stand in the front sinks to take a peep while you use the urinal.

You could be in here all day across floors and not even know when the whole day is gone.
Good deals if you know where to look and not in too much of a hurry.
Best bet is to plan ahead for specific items or get lost enjoying the whole day making your choices across a diverse range of offerings.

The Fashion Fair products were all out. I wanted 2 different lipsticks. They were out of both of them.

The Color section was really cute and Molly was A+++ fantastic help

Amazing store with fantastic deals! I went there for a online pick up order. The line moved quickly and the staff were attentive and very helpful. Future reference, online pick up is on the 1st floor..enter from the Wabash street entrance. Macy s was decorated with all bright and festive colors!

Very helpful staff in Ralph Lauren and Estee Lauder. Alerted me to upcoming sale/ special so I pre bought and it will ship

Surprisingly Huge department store. Some of the escalators were not working at the time. But overall very tidy and organized.

The employees working in the Cosmetics Dept. makeup is not that of a makeup artist. I shop at Sephora across the street where there s always someone present and there to help.

No stars. I dont like the remodel. I have been shopping there for 40+years.

It took me 40minutes to find the bridal registry.
Bad job on your part. And lack of help? Worse than ever. Shape up Macy's.

This post is only about the famous Christmas windows. The artwork and whimsy was outstanding and the ideas blew my mind. I felt like I was on a Broadway set.
The only drawback were the number of homeless and begging around the windows. I would have enjoyed them more if I had felt safer and it was less aggressive from being asked by 2 to 3 at every window. I wish it felt safer to linger there. I wish I could have paused and enjoyed the art not felt like we had to move on because it was unsafe. Any way to change that? We might have gone it to shop but the unsafe feeling made our group move on and hold on to our purses tightly. What a weird experience to something that could have been beautiful with a little crowd control and security.

Macy's has allowed the old Marshall Field's building decline to a sad state and their own store presentation matches that decline. Macy's doesn't deserve to occupy this historic space. You would think their flagship store to the Midwest would be impressive and shine. You would think.

I've never had a smooth experience using their pick-up service and yesterday, 12/13/18 was just horrible. Pick-up station was unprepared for the holiday high volume, so lines were ridiculously long with a 30 minute wait and then a longer wait for them to actually come back with only 1 of my 4 items. According to them, my other package possibly got lost under other packages. So I went home with only 1 of my 4 items. They tried to find my items in store instead, with no luck. The last time I used their in store pick up service, they had a hard time finding my order, but at least I eventually found it. In addition, there's always a lack of available staff on the floor in nearly every department. And they're not customer service oriented at all. The Macy's in Oakbrook is much better.

Fell from grace, not high end a lot of irregular merchandise.

Very large shop, on others already seen in other cities it seems to me very dispersive and less well-groomed

The store is huge! 8 floors of everything you might want. Food, coffee and shopping in one place!

It's one big discount store, now. When it was Field's there was a sense of history, and numerous excellent choices. Forget the basement "food court". It houses the homeless begging for money.

Perfect shopping experience with all the shops and departments located in one central area for the consumer's convenience. Also, it is located on State Street, in the heart of downtown Chicago and near all other shops and restaurants. The Walnut Room on the seventh floor is highly recommended for all to give a try. Great service and food, as well as a family friendly atmosphere.

Macy's is a great place to shop at. The products are good and the displays are great!

Got handbag at good price. Perfume was full price and expensive

Needs some updating but great sales and inventory!!
