My experience it was great. I had a very courteous black woman, and I enjoy conversating with her.
She also spoke to me about a sale which I definitely use, no reason why to pass it on Thank u 4 allowing me to express myself

Came for the food. Always busy during the lunch hour. Get there early or plan to eat elsewhere. It's about a 10-15 min wait for grilled items. The seasoned fries are amazing. Have eaten the grilled chicken sandwich (delicious) and the chicken tenders (basic). Sometimes they offer free ice cream or fro-yo. Nice lunch option. Limited seating

Found the cutest dress on the Last Act rack. The saleswoman was very personable. A huge store you would enjoy getting lost in with tons of selection. Highly recommend and will be returning.

I like Macy's large department stores that has everything.

I didn't spend a lot time in there, but I found what I was looking for.

Not many staff in the store to ask for help, but you will find someone at the checkout

Bought two shirts other day fro price of 23 dollars n regular price would've been $138

Luggage 50% and 60% off. Nike and adidas 25% off you would also get clothes cheap on last act.

It is huge!!! Consequently, a bit difficult to find what you re looking for don t go there in a hurry! In the other hand, the building is impressive and if you like architecture, this is an obligatory stop.

Love shopping at Macy s. I ll even pay for the plastic bag. But when I buy a $100+ dress and pay for the garment bag...Shouldn t the garment bag be at least the length of the dress? Every time I come here, there is another change and not in favor of the customer. The cashier was rude when I asked if there was a bag to fit my purchase. I guess it really is time to start looking for another place to shop.

Lovely xmas experience shopping at macys. Clothes by designers separated and easy to find. Great selection of high end womens clothes and lingerie. Good quality infant clothes. The only draw back is if you pay in cash you get no discount! So you have to apply for a macys card which has a high interest rate. So pay off the card in full every month. Another drawback is a lack of registers. You may be in line 10 to 15 minutes because people decide to hold conversation when checking out.

Store is kind of old and dingy. Bought a watch that didn't work, so had to go back. Salesperson was not helpful and pushy.

This is the biggest department store I've ever seen. Really beautiful building: fun to visit.

I go here often as it is nearby my job. The service is hit or miss. Lately it has been mostly a miss. I was trying to buy shoes and no one would take care of me, I understand the guy was busy but I was in line and this employee would completely ignore me to go to another customer who would step up on the side. No apology, nothing. Just stared at me and moved on. I was standing there for 15 min. So I went to the other side were someone who was also busy got me out in less than 5 min. The stars are only for the guy who actually helped me out. I've usually had an issue when I am shopping in the mens department for my bf, these employees make me feel like I shouldn't be shopping there. It's Macy's chill, I've had better service at Bloomingdales. With that being said not all Macy's are the same, I'd rather drive out to the Macy's at Old Orchard and i've never had an issue there.

central location with a lot of floors, the mens section can be hit or miss. And I wish parking was better.

Macy's downtown the original Marshall Field's with a Tiffany ceiling absolutely gorgeous seven floors of shopping.

I was very disappointed today with the service. On The State Street store. The wait time was awful. Staff All but ignored me after waiting in different lines i just left.

I was just here with a friend that was shopping but EVERY single employee we encountered on 12/19/18 was very pleasant and friendly despite the holiday madness!!!

The old Marshall Fields building may now claim to be Macy's, but it has all of the feel of an old-school, downtown department store.

We had such a fun experience with Santa but that Checkout woman there was rude. As soon as she printed out receipt for me, she left the counter . I was still waiting there to return some stuff, but she didn't show up. She was keeping and eye on the counter just to see did I left. She came as soon as I moved to another cashier.

Everything is expensive there. The food court on the 8th floor is nice.

Peak hours at Macy s on a Saturday 4:48PM, weekend before Christmas and there is no one in the Watch Department except the watch repair associate. SHAME!! Macy s you may have just missed out on several purchase opportunities.

Finally I have been assisted, by Sarai who I have literally watched running around all alone in this department. She has been kind an very helpful, considering the stress she s under during one of the busiest seasons of the year.

Raymond, you should be as flashy with your service as you are with your cloths. You looked me right in the face when I requested asssitance an walked away.

Lunch At The Walnut Room, now Macy's is always special and a memorable experience, as good as it gets on Wednesdays. Excellent service and beautiful surroundings... Great Shopping Experience At Macy's!

Couldn't find the section I was looking for. But nice stroll...

Lunch under the tree in the Walnut Room is a Christmas tradition for us going back to the 1960s, and the fantastic Chicken Pot Pies were full of chicken, fresh herbs and a delicious sauce. Service was not quite Fields-caliber, but Macy's gave its New York-style hospitality.

This place is huge. There is so much of everything here.

Great store to have on State Street, even though it will always be Marshall Fields.

People come from near and far to this historic Macy's. I believe there are 7 floors total with escalators. I normally just come around the holidays to see all the neat Christmas stuff. Plenty of bargain deals as well.

I love the WINE Shop here! Such a unique selection in a small space that definitely has me experimenting with new brands and styles.

Macy's on State street is a beautiful store. 7 floors filled with a large variety of brands of clothing, cosmetics, furniture & housewares.

Amazing service and great quality products. Bought a couple men's fragrances and gift sets here. Friendly attentive service was refreshing (especially if you're used to the rude people at the Michigan Ave store) Don't go to the Michigan Ave store, just come here

Rosie is the world's best hairstylist. I've had much anxiety about going natural, and she helped me through it every step of the way. She was so patient with me and took her time giving me a great cut. She's worth every dime and more.

What else can I say about this place? You can pretty much find whatever you want. Service is fine and prices are what you'd expect.

Return a hat and scarf set because the security tag was left on. I got no apologies from the salesperson barely a thank you. I do not appreciate the treatment I received. I had to come from the Southside do not appreciate having to travel so far and get bad service.

Building the new VIKTOR &ROLF fragrance display in the state Street window of this iconic 100 year old building (former Marshall Fields ) is a huge but rewarding task. Parking is close and all the associates are very professional, polite and helpful..macy's knows how to pick 'em

There is a wide variety of clothes, and accessories. It is very clean and well lit. Spme of the he escalators were not working, though. The customer service is great and I felt very welcomed.

Pretty good salad on the seventh floor, especially due to half price Mondays. But the dish was fresh and the salad bread well prepared.

I got my students employed at Marshall Fields, and was hired as Management for Food and Wine, to monitor my students in 1988.
