I drove from Brentwood TN to Huntsville, AL to get my son a car at Lexus of Huntsville. I would NEVER do business again with this business. They made a $347 mistake on my local taxes when all they had to do is call to find out. I was told that they may be "a little off" and that my county would be in touch with me about my tags. I got a call from my county saying that I owe $347 in order to get my tags for my sons car. This is NOT "a little off"...I was expecting $50 +-.....I talked to Derrick who was the sales rep who sold the car to us. He explained that he had talked to everyone he could in management and there is nothing they could do. Note: My experience with Derrick was good but the company as a whole is the WORST! Nothing like taking care of your customers.

Have purchased and currently own multiple Lexus vehicles from multiple dealerships across the country and had a short time to purchase a pre-owned vehicle while in Huntsville for a relative. The service during the purchase process at Lexus of Huntsville was at least as good or better than others. Very good experience in terms of willingness to accommodate questions and other requests and make sure we felt prioritized during the sales process.

my wife and I went in to look at a lexus suv and we walked the lot several times looking at different vehicles we found the suv that my wife wanted to look at and test drive and after about 10 mins of looking at it a salesperson walked over eating and talking to us with food in his mouth. then he said he would go and get the keys for the suv that my wife wanted to look at and while we were standing next to the vehicle waiting on the salesperson to come back with the keys another sales person walks up and starts showing someone else the vehicle and then our sales person walks out and unlocks the suv and before we could get a chance to even open the door we were pushed out of the way and the other sales man and his customers climbed in and shut the doors. and our sales person was still eating and by the time he got to the vehicle we had already gotten into our vehicle and were leaving. he took his time going to get the keys and coming back and the suvs were right at the door of the dealership. and we were parked near the used cars next to university drive.
I will NEVER go back to them again. that was unprofessional and rude. on both salesman. we will be going to Nashville or Birmingham to buy a lexus not Huntsville. And this is not the only time something close to this has happened we had been there before and walked the lot for 35 mins and not one person came out to talk with us.

The website says that the red rc 350 is for sale. When I arrive, the sales person said it was sold. The stickers were sill on it as it's for sale. I asked if the white one is sold and he said it was an rc 300 and it would drive different. The car was a rc 350 sport because I already looked at it the night before. So he was caught in two lies right from the start. He was just judging a book by it's cover. But that's okay, I had the money to buy the red one in cash. I would not recommend buying a vehicle here. I purchased a new vehicle in 2015, spending over $75K. Within a few weeks of this, I asked them to install illuminated door sills that I bought through a lexus parts site online. LofH wanted $500 for that small job. I had an accessories shop do it for me at $100. When I took the car back for the first free oil change, they overfilled the crankcase, not once but twice. I walked in the service dept one afternoon for something, was ignored for about 30 minutes and when I finally stopped one of the service reps to ask for assistance she told me it was her lunch break. Most recently I have an issue with a CEL. The car is still well within warranty. The response from the service dept is that the problem has to do with aftermarket exhaust. This may be true but I cannot get any further response or information from them. When I call to attempt to get more information they invariably say that such-and-such will call me back and that has yet to happen. I asked to speak to the general manager regarding the CEL problem, I was referred to his voicemail and, you guessed it, no response. These guys are all generosity and good-will until you write the check, then the attitude changes.
Update: Tried contacting the manager, Dennis Davis again via phone and email, still no response. I did receive an email response from the service manager, with a somewhat more detailed explanation of what they consider the issue with the car to be. This was somewhat helpful but basically just a list of repairs that total over $2000 that they consider necessary to solve the CEL. I get it, that is the Lexus textbook fix for a p4020 code, warranty voided because I have an aftermarket exhaust. So what more can I expect from them? I don't expect them to replace a part unnecessarily. I would definitely have appreciated a response from the manager, maybe a brief sit-down with him and the service people to resolve the issue. So at the end of the day, Lexus of Huntsville is an average dealership. They do what is required and nothing more. I definitely expected more from a luxury brand. On the other hand, if you, like me, are looing for a performance vehicle that you can make your own, you probably shouldn't be looking at Lexus to begin with.

I have not had the opportunity to experience anything close to great or positive service of my RX350. My first experience taking my Brand new car into service at this location was less than pleasant. It took several weeks for them to diagnose and resolve the true nature of the limp mode and loud clacking noise emanating from the car. My second encounter was equally worst. I took my car in for a 10, 000 miles service and because I was shocked at how quickly my car got in and out, after I got home, I decided to open the hood for a brief visual inspection and what I found was extremely disappointing. I don't wish to go into details but I have pictures to prove. I pointed out these issues to the Service Manager, Ray, who was nice and offered to make it right. The problem is the 'niceness' of the personnel does not make me feel any safer to be in my car that due diligent appears to have been lacking; it is rather a demonstration of competency that would ameliorate my outlook on this service department. I do have a 30,000 Miles service upcoming very soon and I would like to have some degree of confidence in the 22-point service issues that are to be done on this imminent visit, but I am deeply worried and still pondering my options at this time.

Service department is the WORSE service department ever. It s inconvenient to drive to Lexus of Cool Springs, but so worth not having to deal with the head ache of the service department in Huntsville, not to mention the cost of service is generally substantially cheaper. HORRIBLE customer service in Huntsville. So bad that I m trading a car I love to avoid having to deal with the service department here in Huntsville and the inconvenience of driving to Nashville, TN for good service. FYI: Make sure you avoid the two service consultant on the far right of the service dept entrance.

I purchased a 2015 RC350 last month from Lexus of Huntsville. About 2 weeks after my purchase, I opened the driver side sun visor and noticed the mirror on the sun visor is completely shattered in place. It was my fault for not thoroughly inspecting the vehicle at the time I was purchasing, but since it was 2015 L/Certified with a 161 point check, I assumed everything was in tact. I called the Used Cars department and spoke with the manager Carlos Carter about the broken mirror I noticed in the sun visor. I was having a very level headed conversation with him about the issue with my L/Certified Vehicle.
He said there was nothing he could do to help, and I calmly, and simply responded "I had a great buying experience with you all, but my post sale experience hasn't been so great, so I plan on leaving an honest review about it". He got so angry, told me I was on a recorded line, and accused me of blackmailing him! As I was trying to explain to him that I was simply going to leave a honest review, he hung up the phone on me! I was and still am in shock.
Everyone else at Lexus of Huntsville was nice and helpful when purchasing the vehicle, I never imagined getting treated this way by a Lexus employee.
I love the vehicle I purchased from them, but to be a Lexus dealership and not want to satisfy their customer (who is likely to purchase another Lexus) and to accuse them of blackmailing is unjustifiable. I hope someone can sit with Carlos Carter and train him on customer service etiquette.

I picked up my Certified Lexus from Lexus of Huntsville yesterday and I could not be happier. I liked Joaquin Recuero's upfront and honest approach to car sales. Carlos, the Sales Manager and Joe, the Finance Manager, were also excellent. I got a good deal from my local dealership without having to drive hundreds of miles to find it. I spend a lot of time researching a car before I buy one and Lexus of Huntsville delivered.

Purchased a so called, "Certified" vehicle from the Lexus Dealership. The day I purchased the vehicle, I discovered a pin point crack in the windshield of the vehicle; so I brought it to the attention of the salesman. He told me to bring the vehicle in, to have the crack sealed. After which, not only was the crack not sealed, but whoever worked on the windshield, extended more damage to the windshield. I bought the problem back to the salesman, he spoke to the Used Car Sales Manager. Needless to say, they pretty much blew me off, and showed me: it was my problem to deal with. Very unsatisfactory service and extremely poor business practices. I will never do business to Lexus Huntsville again; and I will most certainly share my experience of how poorly I was treated among friends, business partners and business associates throughout the community.

I have never encountered such unprofessional employees in any sales process in my entire life. When I say that, I am speaking in entireties, not just in the purchase of an automobile. I have had more competent and friendlier service buying a hamburger at McDonald's.
I live two hours away from this dealership, so I negotiated the sales price of the car I was interested in, and an estimate for my trade. When the numbers were agreeable, I asked my salesperson, "JJ", to verify with F&I that they could either match the rate I had from my outside lender, or allow me to use outside financing. I submitted the credit app and it was several hours before it was processed, because they had to, "restart some computers". He assured me that there would be no problem either financing through them at a competitive rate or allowing me to use my third party credit union. I make the drive. I asked that any paperwork that can be completed beforehand be done and to have the car detailed for delivery.
I get there at 4:45 and he comes out and says that he had to take the car back to the wash real quick since they close at 5. What? I have purchased cars after 5 at other dealers and the car was always detailed appropriately. Car was not cleaned and no paperwork was done. I sit down in his office and he says they can finance at twice the interest rate of my lender with substantial money down. Nope. No one at this dealership had any clue as to what was going on or what my deal looked like.
I walk over to F&I and the sloppy, portly man never stood up, never shook my hand, was on the phone when I walked in, and never introduced himself. Gets off the phone and says, "yeah, I have never heard of this lender so we cannot allow delivery of this car until we get paid. You can come get the car after we get paid and do the paperwork today." I said that I cleared this up before making the drive and his reply was, "I don't even have your deal, I have no idea what your deal is. I am the finance manager and I never cleared anything." I let him know that I had used the same lender at Mercedes of Birmingham and Land Rover of Birmingham, which is a Sonic dealership and nation wide. He did not care. He offered no solution and was not even polite. I told him that I wanted the blank check and paperwork back. He handed it to me without saying a word.
The portly fellow then follows me to the pre-owned building, still without saying a word. He goes in to talk to the pre-owned sales manager, Ralph. As I looked for JJ and asked for my keys, all that the sales manager, Ralph, could do was look at me. He never introduced himself, never asked how we could find a solution, and did not have the courtesy to even speak to me as I was leaving the dealership in my Audi. The only other thing that was said to me was by JJ, "Well, I did my part.".
What kind of business operates in this way? Not that you should be treated differently when purchasing a luxury vehicle, but you expect friendliness and decency at a minimum. I have purchased Hyundai, Toyota, Mazda, BMW, Mercedes, and Audi brands and across all price levels have had superior service every time. There is no shortage of Lexus dealerships within a few hours drive of Huntsville. I do not see how a business that treats people in this way can remain competitive. I would suggest that ownership of this dealer takes feedback seriously, because it takes a lot of satisfied customers to make up for one negative experience. As I told JJ, I will make every person that I encounter aware of the level of service to expect at this dealership and to avoid them like the plague. I work with very high net worth individuals that are frequently in the market for luxury vehicles, and I will make sure that they know where not to take their business. You should be ashamed at your employee's lack of professionalism, manners, and abilities.

As a first time customer, I feel very misled and deceived from my experience with Lexus in Huntsville last week. Upon having them check my warning lights on my 2007 Lexus is250, I met with Rob Massingill who explained the service department would be running a diagnostic check to find out if there were any issues with the car. Rob mentioned there was a $140 diagnostic fee if there were issues and if I were to get the work done there at Lexus in Huntsville. I asked for clarification that I would not be charged if I didn't get the work done and he say NO. 2 hours later, I am told it threw a P0420 code and needed a new catalytic converter for $2,000. There was no explorative investigation or explanation as to why I needed the catalytic converter replaced, and I was still charged $140 just for the mechanic to take a code reader and simply run the code...a 3 minute task! If I would have known they were going to do this, I would have taken it to O'Reilly Auto Parts and gotten the code read for free! Be careful when you go to Lexus in Huntsville, they will say whatever they can to get you to pay out for their fancy furniture and gourmet coffee in the break room. After this experience, I took my car to a mechanic in town who determined the cat was throwing the error due to it being a California Converter, which has stricter emissions standards...something Lexus in Huntsville had no knowledge about or failed to share *cough* *cough*. The unnamed-but well known mechanic further elaborated that it will not damage the other components to continue driving the car the way it is...it just means I will be driving with warning lights on and my emissions will be higher. It just goes to show that it is always good to get a second opinion if you feel like you are getting swindled. Do yourself a favor and save your money by going somewhere else!

I arrived at Lexus of Huntsville looking to purchase a new SUV. Willie met me out front and asked which color I would like to see. It took him a while to find the keys, but when he did he was kind enough to pull the car up under the covered area of the building so I didn't get wet in the rain. When I started asking questions about available options he would tell me one thing, then back track and inform me that those options were actually only available on another vehicle. When I asked if he could do a search to find a car for me exactly like I was looking for (available options, color, wheel size) he informed me that he could not do that, because every single model is made the same and that I would need to select one at the dealership since they're all the same, or I would need to special order one and it would take 4-5 months. I have bought several cars and have even special ordered a few, so I understand how that process works, but I also knew that if the options I wanted were only available in a special order then Lexus would be the ONLY type of car who doesn't build cars with those options available unless it's special ordered. I left and called the sales manager to double check the info since Willie had given me bad information earlier, and never received a call back. I then called Hennessy Lexus in Atlanta and they were so kind and found the exact car I was looking for at another dealership. They were able to get it for me from the other dealership with all of the options I had been looking for, and without the special order and 4-5 month wait time. I would never recommend that anyone go to Lexus of Huntsville just based on my terrible experience.

He was extremely patient and professional with us as we were at the dealership a good part of the day trying to decide exactly what vehicle best suited our needs. Mr. Dutchess was a genuine person who seemed to really care that his customers were happy and satisfied with their selection. We will definitely be repeat Lexus customers and will prefer for Mr. Dutchess to assist us in the future. We would highly recommend him to anyone at the Lexus dealership.

It's important for me to share my experience about this dealership because I really want people to know there are still people that go above and beyond to help others. I was driving from Indianapolis, IN to Alabama today. Shortly before crossing the TN and Alabama line my vehicle (Lexus Truck) gave a warning light regarding the AWD system. The manual said to "see the service department soon". Being far away from home I was concerned and worried about the issue. Found the Huntsville Lexus dealership and headed straight there. Immediately upon pulling into the service bay they were helpful. The first service rep I met had "Benny" (shop manager) look at the error code. Since the service rep had to leave he made sure I was connected with another rep. Tammy was awesome as well. Before she could get the car mileage, Doug (Service Tech) was there to take the vehicle back to the garage. They explained the error and why it happened and assured me that I would be ok to drive the vehicle. They did all of this less than 30mins,, EVEN WASHED MY CAR :) Thanks Huntsville Lexus for your awesome service and help. I've always heard about southern hospitality and today I really experienced it!!

He gets our cars in right away, with no added surprises. If something comes up, he calls and let s us know what they ve found. He is honest and never tries to pressure you with added services. He always has a loaner available for us as well. Lexus service is the best and so is David! Ask for him!

Love Love Love this place!!! I get my Lexus serviced here and they are always so honest and do everything to help me understand any issues. I bought my car in January and the brakes have squeaked ever since. I took it to Lexus thinking it needed new brakes. David S. had me come in the next day, they looked at it right away and determined I had new brakes, but there was an anti squeak piece missing from the after market brakes the previous owner put on. David S. ordered the brakes, put me in a loaner so I could go home and had my car fixed the very next morning for a minimal charge. It was washed and vacuumed and looked brand new when I picked it up. I am so happy I took it to Lexus of Huntsville, they really treat you with respect and honesty!!!

Mr. Allen helped me with most of the process via phone and email since I reside in Metro Atlanta always called me back in a timely manner, if I had a question there was never a time I could not communicate with him.

The tire rotation was an unexpected expense but I was told that it should be done. I was quoted $108.00, in the end it was $237.00...ouch! I'll never take it there again.
