I purchased a 2015 RC350 last month from Lexus of Huntsville. About 2 weeks after my purchase, I opened the driver side sun visor and noticed the mirror on the sun visor is completely shattered in place. It was my fault for not thoroughly inspecting the vehicle at the time I was purchasing, but since it was 2015 L/Certified with a 161 point check, I assumed everything was in tact. I called the Used Cars department and spoke with the manager Carlos Carter about the broken mirror I noticed in the sun visor. I was having a very level headed conversation with him about the issue with my L/Certified Vehicle.
He said there was nothing he could do to help, and I calmly, and simply responded "I had a great buying experience with you all, but my post sale experience hasn't been so great, so I plan on leaving an honest review about it". He got so angry, told me I was on a recorded line, and accused me of blackmailing him! As I was trying to explain to him that I was simply going to leave a honest review, he hung up the phone on me! I was and still am in shock.
Everyone else at Lexus of Huntsville was nice and helpful when purchasing the vehicle, I never imagined getting treated this way by a Lexus employee.
I love the vehicle I purchased from them, but to be a Lexus dealership and not want to satisfy their customer (who is likely to purchase another Lexus) and to accuse them of blackmailing is unjustifiable. I hope someone can sit with Carlos Carter and train him on customer service etiquette.
