We used to go there when it was Key Lime Cove. It was a Very Festive Looking Place.

I went there Last Night, with My Fiancee, to see the Facility after the Sale and Remodel to Great Wolf Lodge. We were Planning a Honeymoon Fun Night after Our Wedding on Sunday.

We was not impressed with The Lobby Area. All the Fun Decor of Key Lime Cove was Gone. Everything was Dark Wood and Brick. It looked like a Camping or Hunters Lodge. Not Very Kid Fun Friendly.

The Biggest Negative Change was to the Water Park. There used to be a Large Wave Pool which Connected with he Lazy River. We always had so much Fun in the Wave Pool, before we would navigate the Lazy River. IT IS GONE! In its place, is Boring Kiddie play Shower Area and the Lazy River has been rerouted. All the other Water Park Attractions are the same, but we were turned off by the Removal of the Wave Pool. We were so Disappointed, and didn't even Venture Downstairs to see what they did with the Game Room.

When we first arrived to check in the manager named Grant was very unprofessional and rude ,we had booked a room with a patio ,and when we arrived we were told there were none available so they gave us what was available,no explanation on why ,no apologies just open rudeness ,the teller was actually quite pleasent but the manager Grant was incompetent ,I have no idea how he's in charge in a customer service base job, he made our check in a living hell and disregarded us completely ,other than the initial anger ,the water park is ok.

Kids loved it. Be aware though, you cannot get to the water park without going through the "gauntlet" designed to catch the kids attention and spend more money. It can really add up quickly.

Since I ve left I ve been charged on my card multiple times for things I m unaware of and they re unaware of. Valet never parked my car never drove my car to me and were never there during the times they advertise and I was charged for valet. To top it off management there hung up on me multiple times when I was asking for help. It seemed like they just didn t want to do anything to help. I m very disappointed that I spent over $1,500 just to be treated so disgustingly by employees and management. In desperate need of help I called any number available and no one was able to do anything. Great Wolf Lodge also sent me an email with promo code good for 50% off a 1 night stay offer expires 1/11/19 I got an offer not valid. Again I m very disappointed with the way I ve been treated and with the abuse I received. Almost 200$ in charges and no one knows what they are for. This is fraud.

The resort was nice and clean, but I wish that the cost to stay there included more of the attractions. The waterpark had an extreme amount of chlorine in the water. My eyes and nose burned just from stepping foot inside the park. We arrived early and were able to gain access to the waterpark but our room wasn't ready until 4pm and they do not offer the customary late check-out. Most hotels/resorts will usually allow you an hour extra if needed, but we were told we could stay til 2 p.m. for an additional $69. That was a little disappointing after having lost track of time while at the waterpark. We had to rush back to our rooms and pack very quickly. The wristbands doubling as electronic room keys were very convenient but somewhat uncomfortable to sleep in.

Nice but nothing outstanding since the remodel and rebranding. I was expecting maybe too much now that it's a Great Wolf Lodge instead of Key Lime Cove and was pleasantly surprised by all the upgrades that they made but the service is the same as the prices are higher and the environment is aseptic not the best value very pricey even for a special event like my daughter's birthday. I was pleased to say that there are now 12 room options which offers us much more flexibility as a larger family so that was a plus

The room was nice.

The room was nice.

The water did not seem clean. I didn't sense significant chlorine and that concerns me. In the wave pool, I put goggles on and went underwater. There was stuff floating in the water -- some type of, I don't know. Just "stuff" floating in the water. Gross.

Breakfast buffet offers dirty dishes and utensils. On the 2nd day, I brought my own paper plates and plastic forks from my room to eat on in the buffet. The food was old. The biscuit gravy looked like drywall mud. I lifted the lid of the eggs to find an empty hot dish with dark yellow crispy scrambled egg residue. Lazy employees there.

My little kids love this place and we're returning in a couple months. If I'm met with the same issues, I'll be taking photographs.

The northwoods theme is carried throughout. It is very quaint and rustic. There is many activities to do outside the waterpark. It is geared to younger children, but there is fun to be had for older kids. The rooms are a good size, and themed as well. The dining package was disappointing, as there are limited choices on site. It is however extremely expensive when compared to similar options.

The most disorganized hotel operation I've ever experirenced. Triple charging their guests, denying their own discount offer codes, no microwaves in any room, and fire alarms that will go off for no reason. An absolute nightmare to stay here.

State of IL has a stay at home order until 4/07. The website says they are reopening on 4/01. Our reservation is 4/05-4/07 and they are insisting on keeping the 15% deposit if we cancel. They said it would go to 30% if we wait to cancel.

I felt it was overpriced for the availability of the amenities that were offered. #covid. I think that room should have been cheaper based in the fact that I couldn't take advantage of THE GWL has to offer.

Thought there would be a hot tub SOMEWHERE, but no. Not inside, not outside. Also i assumed this resort would have an ouside waterpark like wisconsin dells, but wrong again. The only outside water attraction was a pool full of a thousand toddlers.
There was not one area for adults only. I have 5 kids, my sister 3. We really thought that we'd be able to do things with our kids, but have SOME adult space too, NO.
ALSO there is no spa/scoops here either.
All in all kids had fun but, just thought id give the adults going here a heads up.

It was free. The kids loved it. It ain't the Dells, but they sure charge like it. Dells $$$ at Key Lime Coast experience. Take that as you may...dont pay too much. Dont expect the Dells, and it will suit your needs. Had a great time. Might even consider returning at the right price. I'm not fancy, so I can deal. I like the diversity of the staff...take that as you may as well

I haven't stayed over night yet to give a proper review, I only went there to get the lay of the land and the feel for the people before making a reservation. However, their customer curtosey/helpfulness/generosity was over the top awesome, and I made a 2 day reservation and am so excited to go.. I've also never seen a hotel of any sorts have such great amenities!!

Our stay here overall was good. We've been to the Great Wolf Lodge in the Dells a few time before and my daughter was excited to go to this new one.

They did a good job on the remodel of the hotel, everything looks new and well thought out. There are more things for the kids to do here as opposed to the the one in the Dells so that is nice. They have a mini bowling alley, mini golf, climbing wall and high rope course that are not at the Dells location in addition to the Magiquest, arcade and shops. One kind of disappointment was the Magiquest at this location is just kind of spread out thought the main area of the first two floors. The Dells location has it in its own separate building that is dedicated to that which makes it more fun for the kids to run around in rather then all over the hotel.

The rooms are nice, but I will say the beds are not very comfortable. I woke up with a lot of back pain thanks to the beds. Plus we had what they call a "queen" size bed, but it felt more like a slightly larger double bed. My wife actually went and slept in one of the bunk beds the second night se we both had some room. Other than that the rooms were ok.

The water park was nice and had some cool things going for it. Firstly the thing I loved the most was the two large water slides had a lift system that brought the rafts up to the top for you. In the Dells you have to carry a large 4 person raft up a lot of stairs and it's exhausting. They also have two smaller two person raft slides that you can go single or double, two "regular" water slides and then a single or double tube slide that goes into what my daughter called the toilet bowl and dumps into the lazy river. Speaking of the lazy river it has something I've never seen before, there is a section that will turn into a wave area every so often. It added something different to a usually boring lazy river. The lazy river and the dump area for the slides is all 3'6" deep so its a nice depth for the kids. In the middle of the lazy river is the kids play area that has three slides and one little kid slide (my 14 month old loved it) in addition to the giant bucket the dropped and all the different water features. They also have a splash pad in the front of the water park for little ones and two small water slides that dump out into a 1.5' pool. In the back they have a wave pool that goes from 0 to 5 feet and lets you know the waves are going to start with a howl.

One other nice thing is that right down the street from the GWL is Gurnee Mills Mall so there are places to eat (that don't cost as much as the hotel) and shopping close by.

We'd definitely go back again but this time I'd bring my cot to sleep on to avoid my back hurting but the kids had a great time in the water park and just hanging out at the hotel.

The middle tower of slides was shut down one of the days which caused over crowding in the wave pool, the only other place smaller kids could play. The meal plans are a terrible deal, just don't do it. You just get a credit equivalent to the amount you pay for it and if you don't use it, you lose it. You also can't use it in a number of the places to get food. The fountain drinks are super over priced and no refills. They have a fridge in the room so you should bring your own drinks if possible.

The bed was too hard and the covers you could not pull all the way up. We thought the food prices were a little on the high side and the pizza was nothing to write home about. Having said that, if you were a kid you'd probably rate it 4 stars.

I was there for a business dinner the venue was okay and the catering was okay. Nothing really special about the place. Seemed like a poor venue or professional event for adults. I would suggest it for familys and vacation's not for their ballroom.

Checked in at 1, didn t get a room until almost 9pm. And that was after several confrontations with the manager and me literally screaming at him. They told us they could not guarantee a room? Huh? Couldn t guarantee a room? Even though they charged our credit card months ago now they couldn t guarantee a room. Finally my wife wouldn t take no for an answer and they gave us an unclean room that was claimed to be satisfactory by their standards. They overbooked and were sending people over to neighboring hotels. Some people never even got rooms. Eric, the manager from Burlington Wisconsin, couldn t have been ruder.

Will never return.

Fun place the kids love (because of the pool) but left a lot to be desired. Everything is way overpriced here. A small, disposable cup MaiTai was almost $11. Disney seems reasonable compared to Keylime Cove. We also got placed into a handicap access room which we didn't want or need. They told us they had no other Mangrove suites available during our stay so it was this room or a downgrade. The bathroom sink was so small that there was little room for anything. There were so many bars and low racks in the shower that you couldn't bend or move without hitting one of them. The hair dryer and phone didn't work properly and had to be fixed. Had to call at 3:30pm to see if our room was going to be cleaned then the maid showed up while we were trying to get ready for dinner.

I would give it a zero if I could. Day one, did the mobile check in because I thought it would be easier and faster. No and no. Also said online our room would be ready by 4 or even sooner (we would get a text when it was ready) and didn't get our room til after 4pm and I had to go to the desk to ask for our room. Didn't get a call, text or email. Ice machine on our level was broken/empty. I had to go up a floor for ice. Ice machine still was empty 16 hours later. We were in our room (already running behind on) for 5mins when housekeeping opens the door and noticed someone was in that room. Was shocked and apologies. Sounds like lack of communication. The following morning, we got a call at 6am asking if our daughters name was so and so and if we were missing her? Huh? No. We have all our children. Sounds like a lot of confusion, kauos and being under staffed to me.

This place recently renovated over pre-existing Key Lime Cove structures and it showed. While my daughter and I had an enjoyable time in the water park itself, the amenity places like the different food courts and restaurants were sub-par. Little things like no children's menus anywhere, no spoons at any of the restaurants, and maintenance performing something that requires a hammer after 8:45pm are what made me think I might not revisit this place

Fantastic stay! Great time for 4 year old, easy to get back to room for 9 month old's nap. Took advantage of all the fun activities outside of pools too, though a bit pricey. Can't wait for next visit, didn't want to leave, even after 3 nights!
