I stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge for 3 days. The place was very clean, staff was very friendly, yet they need more customer service training. It was a bittersweet experience, because alot of the information on their website does not match what is actually allowed. For example water socks are permitted in the water park, except the slides due to safety reasons. They can get caught in the slide. The lifeguard told someone in my party to "take off the watersocks ,"while they were on the slide ready to slide down. I spoke to someone in the corporate office before I went to stay there ,they never mentioned this rule.
Many of the children's activities are not included with your stay for example they had storytime in the evening for the children, the supervisor told me it was complimentary. Yet when they gave me a plate of s'mores; I was told that will be $1.99 a plate! I said I was told it was complimentary, the person in charge of the activity asked the manager on duty. They said it was not. So I left unsatisfied with no smores. I did speak with the supervisor later on, and she apologized for the wrong information and gave us a complimentary breakfast coupon. The food and video games are expensive. The food is mediocre.
The waterpark was amazing! We got there during the week. Beware when the weekend comes the place is so packed, not relaxing at all. The kids in our party enjoyed the character breakfast, Magicquest, a saverger hunt all throughout the resort, the lazy river, you can also buy an additional Paw pass for the kids to enjoy perks like a scoop of ice cream, wall climbing,12oz of candy at the candy shop, bowling, and much more. I haven't decided if I will return, only because the children loved it!
