KEY LIME COVE RULES!!!!! The BEST part is there is a spa
It saves you a trip to the Wisconsin Dells, but it gets pricey on the dates you can actually take a kid there.
Just stayed here for 3 days. Excellent service. Friendly staff. All workers & guests pretty much wore a mask, at all times. Only exception for guest was inside the water. Our room was nice & clean. Also, it was ready early! I purchased the "Wolf Passes" for my children. Well worth every dollar. My kids had a great time. We will definitely be going back at least once a year.
We loved it so much fun never saw my kids almost the entire night lol had alot of fun
I was dropping off a delivery... my experience was just fine.
Great experience. Toilet got clogged but no big deal. My daughter, nephew, sister and wife all had a blast and I was happy as a clam.
Waited all night for a special package and recieved nothing but news that we were forgotten even though we paid extra. Horrible.
It's ok but dont expect a high end experience. Food is average at best and wait times long. God forbid you lose a towel...$15. Staff is again ok but not really proactive or helpful. The only exception may be the magic quest staff who are very enthusiastic.
Had a family Christmas party. The service was great and food was tasty.
Overall decent. Watertown was great, room was blah
The room was dirty, and service at the restaurants was slow
Had a lot of fun & very friendly people. Wish there was a hot tub though
We have now been to both the Dells and now the Gurnee location. We are not fans of the Gurnee location. There were quite a few bad experiences and there is no hot tub for us adults that want to keep up with two 14 year olds and none of us like the Magiquest lay out in Gurnee... we will be making the trip in the future to the Dells!!
Fun place to take the kids. Restaurants have room for improvement, especially in the speed of service at some high traffic locations and times of day. Wristband payment is convenient except they didn't authorize our credit card at check in so it didn't work on this visit.
Hotel staff was great but some of the food service workers were slow and unfriendly. Took away from the overall experience.
My family spent our Christmas vacation here Last December 26, 2014 and it was awesome! We liked the wristband it has the key of our hotel room.
It's the best water park I went to and the best part of the trip and that tells you something because we went to the jelly belly jelly bean factory after that
Very good place and pleasant atmosphere guaranteed fun especially children
The rooms are very nice and clean. A lot of stuff for kids and adults to do. Very fun for all ages.
Great stay! My boys loved the waterpark! Glad it is so close to us now!
Great Wolf Lodge was a good place to stay. They had alot of small stores and a pretty good waterpark. The only thing that kind of made the experience a little less enjoyable was the check in. We had planned on checking in early but we got there at the time we were supposed to check in. However our room was not ready and it took more than an hour for us to finally get into our room. They did make up for it but I hope they fix their check in process for the future. I will most likely return in the future.
We had my daughter s birthday dinner here at BARNWOOD restaurant but service was so BAD. Never go there again. Manager came to our table and told him about restaurant service but he really don t care.
REALLY BAD RESTAURANT
Rooms are great, comfy beds and decent size for a family of 4. Water park is always a hit, my son is tall enough now for the bigger slides which was a big plus. Lots of options for food throughout the property and tons of options if you want to take a quick drive. We will definitely be back, hopefully soon!
I was part of a large group of people on father s day that were unable to check in to our room on time ( didn t get in our room until almost 7) due to a laundry/cleaning issue. However, the manager was patient and understanding of our frustration about having to wait. He worked with each family individually to ensure we were satisfied. The manager needs a raise for what he had to put up with. I appreciate that the resort took responsibility for the mistake and worked things out with us. I will definitely come back for a third time.
The only problem i have is that the rooms we got claimed they had bunks but they didnt
It was great.had drinks by the bar while watching my favorite basketball team .the only down side was that a different bartender didn't show up for work so my bartender had to leave and fill in. Then she closed the bar and took her little car full of the liquor we wanted to drink.its ok no worries well be visiting again because my kids loved ity
Room was dirty, sheets with dried blood, bathrooms with disgusting stains on walls and seats,i go on balcony and find a cup full dirty water and a ton of cigarette butts in the cup and a ton on the patio gross.Housekeeping people just standing by carts just talking and talking, never heard a vacuum.Housekeeping manger must be lazy,do a spot check on your team, go in a room and ask yourself, would you be happy with the amount of money you spent to walk into a messy and stained room....Waterpark is good for a day, magicquest is great for the kids to keep busy for long periods of time, food options are not great, opted to go off site for food.We stayed in a deluxe grizzly bear suite, room was spacious for our family of 4,but so filthy and gross,we noticed a ton of dirty stuff as time went by,im not sure we will be going back for the amount of money its was really not worth it
Just by reading the comets I would like to go there every day 24/7
It isn't worth the price you will pay. The hotel rooms are not kept up, we didn't receive wash cloths, housekeeping came during nap time, there was a piece of metal in one of the electrical plugs, the elevators were broken part of the time and slow as can be when they were working (this is a problem when one of our party is in a wheelchair), we never received the text messages we were told we would receive from a guest representative throughout our stay, and it felt like we were being nickel and dimed everywhere we went. I will say that the gentlemen sent to remove the piece of metal from the electrical plug were professional, showed up within 7 minutes of our phone call, and very kind. The waterpark was clean, fun, and well run. It was annoying to have to return the towels before returning to our rooms ($10 charge if you didn't return them). We were able to check into our room early which was a bonus. Overall, if you go in with VERY low expectations, it isn't a bad place to stay. Personally, it will be better money spent for us to just go to a Disney resort where everything is better quality.
I took my 2 boys (ages 1&4) along with my 2 nephews on June 20th- 22nd and I must say it was better than expected. The front desk agent Sheila was very accommodating when I had a minor complaint about the room but fixed my problem quickly. This was my first time here and Sheila guaranteed I will enjoy my stay and will want to return. I loved my upgraded suite, it was nice to sit on the balcony after the kids had their baths for me to unwind and it was great having the separate living space. I didn't notice a lot of noise but it could've been because we stayed during the week. The waterpark was very nicely maintained and clean and not overly crowded and the lifeguards were superb! A decent selection of food but we went to nearby restaurants and the gameroom was great...I didn't give 5 stars because I think the resort fee is a bit much and microwaves should be in every room, otherwise my stay was great and I will return!
Great place to relax an enjoy. The water park an swimming annthe hotel an the food services
The entire facility us well maintained and clean. The staff us curtious and help full. The water park area has plenty of life guards. This is our second stay and this time around the got the deluxe room which worked better for us. We have three little kids under 4. Plenty of things to do for a 2 or 3 days stay but if more you can adventure out to restaurants in the area. Chicago is about an hour drive depending on traffic. We definitely come back.
Place was great! One thing could be changed beer prices could be lower I went to try to buy a 6 pack from there general store it was almost 44 dollars !!! They could add an adult pool and maybe a hot tub and make adult hours for swimming too
Absolutely fabulous! I can come here be entertained, have fun, relax, get a thrill and feel the stress melt away. I love it! For parents, they have staff every where!! Lost children are safe and get returned to parents with a smile! It's amazing!
Awesome, but no hot tub. They do have rock climbing instead.
It was fun, until someone pooped in the pool and there was no more chairs to sit in.
The waterpark area was amazing! My kids had a blast! BUT the cleanliness of the hotel itself was horrible. Dust and cobwebs in all my rooms, trash and cigarette butts everywhere. Stains on the sheets and still trash from previous people in my room.
My family had a wonderful time here last weekend. We checked in Thursday afternoon to celebrate my son's 7th birthday. The facility was very clean and everyone was really nice. This place looks like it is managed strictly because lifeguards really looked like they were watching very carefully to make sure everyone was safe and everywhere was clean. It was a school day so the place was very empty but we had a wonderful time. There were more staffs than guests. Will definitely go back. Thank
My family had a wonderful experience at Great Wolf Lodge! We stayed overnight on 12-1-19, booked our room through Groupon for $162ish, with 4 adults and 1 three year old in a family suite! Check-in was fast and easy and they gave Annabelle some complimentary wolf ears! The room was a standard hotel room with 2 queen beds and a pull-out sofa bed, was just enough room for the 5 of us. Everything was clean and staff was quick when we requested some extra blankets and pillows. The waterpark was really nice, much bigger than I expected! Honestly the highlight of our trip was actually the activities the staff put on throughout the day! Staff was engaging and friendly and my daughter loved each one!!! We will definitely be back to Great Wolf for the family atmosphere and friendly, efficient staff!
Have not been a guest there just picking up and dropping off guests
I just turned eleven and me my mom and my brother went there for spring break , it was my favorite place to go I went there since I was 6 years old now I'm sad now that there turning it into great wolf lodge.
GWL in Gurnee IL is a new waterpark facility that opened in March 2018. The hotel rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. We've experienced and stayed at another GWL in the Wisconsin Dells, which was larger and included a much more extensive outdoor waterpark area. We were somewhat underwhelmed with how much smaller the waterpark is compared to GWL in the Dells.
Had a very good time.there were so many things for the kids and adults to do separately and together I'd recommend booking before the weekend though it gets really busy Friday night
The room is accommodating and the place seems very fun for a family environment. I was there for a video game tournament and the space was large and suitable for what we were doing.
The water park itself was a lot of fun; great slides, not too crowded. However, on my second day at the Gurnee location, I was robbed of ALL the money in my wallet which was in my locked room. Over $200.00 was stolen while me and my son were in the water park. I made a security report and a Gurnee police report. One week later, still nothing done. Was assured they would review everyone who entered my room. Still no answers . Not even an apology from management. If you go, please ask for a safe or lock your valuables up. Now a month later; still no response
It's new, it's clean and my kids loved it. It's an all-around win.
The only complaint we had was with housekeeping. Dust on lamps, food splatters on wall. Breakfast was incredibly overpriced.
So this was my very first experience at Great Wolf Lodge. I am giving a 3 due to cleanliness and follow up. Other than that I had a great time there. Protocol and social distancing were handled well. I like that due to Covid staff is not allowed in your room. They will drop off anything needed. Everyone was really nice and friendly. Due to Covid and the advertisement of deep cleaning I was disappointed to walk into a room that was not quite as clean as expected. Upon entering I could see this room had not been used recently due to the dust on the tv and dresser. The light switch above the table was filthy with what looked like cheese puff from a kids hand. There was hair in my sink, tub and on the floor. The toilet area had the stench of urine. I brought my own cleaning supplies because i have a two year old daughter. I cleaned everything but the smell was still there. When I took a good look at the dark grey walls you could see there were yellow run spots as if someone urinated down the walls. Hey boys will be boys, I get it but double check rooms for full cleanlyness before allowing the next guest to check in it. ... I cleaned the walls but the smell was still there. Moving on the last reason for a 3 which I now feel like should be a 2 star review, when I pulled the sheets back on the bed there was a small spot on the sheet that looked like blood. When we got up the following morning I called for new sheets which were dropped off in a timely manner but when we got back to our that evening and I went to put the sheets on the bed they were for a Twin bed not a Queen bed. I called around 10pm for the sheets and had to call back about 30mins later because no one brought them up. Needless to stay for me that was a horrible experience with my room. They were small things yet big things....
Update 01/04 - As of yet know has reached out to me about my issues. Someone from Corporate stated the resort would reach out but no has reached out to me at all. Very disappointing. I will not return here at all. Key Lime Cover was much better with customer service. I wish they were still there.
Fantastic water park. The room was alright. They only provided three really small pillows for a king-sized bed.
The food at the upstairs bar was expensive but good. Honestly got more than I was expecting for the price. The beer selection is so-so but it's really more of a cocktails kind of place.
Kids love it, for me it's a neon hell scape. Stupid kids.
Surrounding hotels $50-$90. Hurricane harbor $30-$40. Total $80-$130. GWL $300/night. SMH.
Great location, right off the interstate. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Would have liked check in process to be quicker and smoother, but otherwise a great stay!
A huge improvement since keylime cove! The staff was incredible, we now look forward to staying there as a guest
Everyone was very helpful great attitude lots if things to do for little kids had a great time
Went off season, everything was open, kids had a lot of fun
My family and I had a great time! The place was very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our 2 bedroom suite was comfortable, clean, and hallways were quiet. But right now the resort is cashless so be prepared for card only transactions.
My family loves going to water parks. Particularly this Great Wolf Lodge in Gurnee. Rooms are clean and so is the water park.
This place is great! We had so much fun! I brought a 9yr old, 8yr old, 6yr old, and 1yr old. There was something to do for all of them. The room was nice and clean. They brought up a pack and play for the little one. Staff was awesome, very helpful. In my opinion you have to go during The week when the prices are a little lower but if you have the extra cash, go for a weekend! There is a fridge in the room and a microwave near the ice machines so I brought food and disposable plates to cut cost a little. Overall worth if for all the fun we had!
This place is nice ... We used to drive all the way to the Dells, from Chicago. Never again, well at least not for Great Wolf.
Overall decent place with good rooms and comfortable beds. The beds at Keylime Cove were hard as boards. Only a couple of issues. No clocks in the water park area. I told my older kids to meet up at a certain time, but they couldn t. Campfire Kitchen breakfast was the worst and there is no pricing displayed. EVERY FOOD was cold and tasted unlike it normally should. French toast was like cinnamon roll dipped in eggs. Drink refills were limited on regular cups, but not listed or mentioned. Apparently the sensor on the bottom of the cup only allows for one refill. Don t get me wrong, this place is really a huge improvement over the last ownership and is worth a visit. Just don t come when it is freezing outside and Dunkin Donuts can t make donuts.
A very cool place! Clean and inviting, and there is so much to do. An arcade, multiple casual restaurants and shopping, and of course, the amazing indoor water park. The kids loved it. It is overpriced, but you're definitely paying for the atmosphere.
Indoor pool is very nice but overall dining experience wasn't that good. Room was decent...not good.
The upgrade from key lime cove is very impressive. Changed layout of water park a bit, added a better toddler area and family size slide! The rooms are adorable with bunk beds and as I like to say, it s like Kiddie Vegas! Will definitely be back
I was attending for a meeting. The snacks and lunch provided by the waitstaff were superb! The open bar was a great hit with our group. The meeting room was large and accommodated our 50 +/- size group. We had 2 large flatscreens and even held the meeting linked online so others could attend remotely.
After the meeting was play time! Getting to the entrance to the waterpark downstairs was a little challenging, as paths were not clearly marked. Once in, it was very warm. The layout of the park is odd, but pleasant enough to walk through. I wish I had brought some water shoes! The floor was rough cork composite and not very comfortable to walk on. I had to search for the towel station to get a towel after a while. Their towels are very small.
After some time, I was thirsty, and my boyfriend came back after paying $2.50 apiece for Dasani water. Not bad, but not great. Other drinks were much more expensive. I didn't even want to see how much the snacks or meals cost!
The locker room to change before leaving was large and accommodating. I showered and left. Still had a chlorine smell irritating my nose hours later!
All in all, not a bad place, but a place in Wisconsin Dells may be a better option.
I love this place. Have been there multiple times. Family loves it.
I just call to ask for there flyer to be sent to my home about the park this was 7:15am Ms dalvin connect me to phone line that just kept ringing so I call back and ask why did you connected me to a line where there was no pit up just ringing about 10 times she told me told me she wasn't sure what time they will start working No Sorry
Tons of fun! Would be nice to have more food options on site, but there are plenty nearby. We come here a few times a year because all of us love it (wife, kids, and I) so much.
