I have brought my family here on several occasions, we always have a Great time..clean, organized and tons of activities inside. On our visit today we had a family incident arise during our check-in. They conveniently allowed us to change the dates to enjoy a future visit! Awesome customer service! See you soon :-)

I really enjoyed the steps the staff was taking to clean the facility and make it an enjoyable time. We only stayed for the day to enjoy the waterpark, so I'm not sure how the rooms were, but I'd imagine they were taken care of and cleaned responsibly.

I felt key lime cove was just okay only because the price was over priced for the hotel rooms. We stayed in the two bedroom suites and they were spacey and upon arriving we were impressed but soon realized they weren't any different from a regular hotel and we didnt spend much time in it. It had outdated appliances and cable was out the whole day. As far as the water park the kids had a blast and the lifeguards are very good at keeping an eye on everyone. There is an arcade room similar to a chuck e cheese and that too I felt was overpriced as well as the shops and restaurants there. There is also a place for the kids to make arts and crafts when they wanted something different so that was nice. My only suggestion to key lime cove is to give the option to allow people to use the park only or park and stay. Its still a great place but not sure if we would go back anytime soon.

Sry this review is long. Just got back from our first family vacation at GWL Gurnee and overall it was a great trip. We were a family of 8, 5adults 3kids, waterpark was great for my toddler and tween niece, my older daughter not so much. First check in and checkout was a breeze adding a person for a day was convenient and the assistant Brinley was very helpful when I needed her. The kid yoga should be longer than 10mins it was suppose to be the activity to keep kids busy before the park opened it did not and there was nothing else going on, suggestion do it for the hour but run it in intervals of 10min IMO.
The Reason for the 3stars
1)my card was charged 490.49 although my confirmation email stated the balance was $484 it s $6 so I didn t think anything of til after the fact.

2) the housekeeping staff need to be better trained or paid more to do a better job. We had the Evergreen suite and it was decent nothing special it slept our family of 9 great with room to spare. Now the cleanliness was another thing our sheets were dirty in one room with makeup like stains and what looked like mold spots. Brinley had new ones sent up (shout out to her for being spot on with my requests via texts) staff could ve changed them instead of just leaving them on the bed for me to do. My parents informed me later that in the other room there was a dirty towel left hanging in the shower. These may be minor issues but it lets me know that they did not clean or at least did a very subpar job n leaves me leary to want to sleep and bathe there.

3)although the staff was attentive, very friendly, and helpful they were not knowledgeable of what was going on we kept getting misinformation about times of things closing/opening.

4)the outpost or the taco bus should be open later if there s going to be late night bowling having to walk upstairs or back to the pizza place is inconvenient in the middle of game.

Overall my baby loved it and we would probably return down the line after they ve gotten into the groove of things. It s the first couple months being operational in a new location so I expect a few snags. Thanks for a great first family trip!

We had a blast, but unfortunately the customer service was very lacking. The water park is very nice, but being charged $45 for towels that I returned was not fun. Train the staff to be more attentive to the guests rather than socializing with the other staff members. We pay good money to stay here and would like to be treated better.

Great place to spend a few days with the family! Amazing water park and a variety of different activities!! Place your reservations months in advance to get the most savings on your stay!!! Oh, and get yourself a waterproof case for your phone, you are going to need it.

This was a great indoor waterpark! There were lots of different areas for kids of all ages (even toddlers have a few options). It was also really nice because you can only enter the waterpark if you stay in the hotel, so even though it was a Saturday, it wasn't crazy crowded like the outdoor waterparks are. We'll definitely be back!

This was our second stay at Key Lime Cove in 2 years, and both times we had significant issues with registration and room placement, the first time the room we entered had people already staying in it who were in the middle of changing clothes, and this time they put us in a completely different room that we did not pay for and did not want. The amenities were nice and the rooms are always clean however I do feel that these positive aspects to not overpower the negatives on two occasions and we will never return to this Resort again.

Rooms are great. Little time consuming to get stuff from vehicle to room, but it s a good way for a dad to kill an hour and work on his dad fitness. Waterpark area is well made and fun. Be cognizant that kids have to be certain heights to ride rides. 42 for some and taller (48 I think) for other rides.

My 11 1/2 year old daughter, 7 and 2 1/2 year old sons and my mom just recently stayed here for 2 nights and 3 days. The room we had was spacious, very clean, the beds and let out full size bed was comfy. The only bad thing is that the rooms doesn't have a microwave or safe box in them. There is a microwave located where the vending and ice machines are at in which isn't convenient at all. The water park was a descent size and not very big at all and there is no HOT TUB. The lockers were $10 for a small one, $12-medium, and $15 for a large locker. So we locked our valuables up in the car. There was a small area for toddlers to play at, a big play house for bigger kids with slides, a pool with basketball rims, a wave pool, lazy river, body slides, two big raft rides and a double tube ride. The bathroom doesn't have benches in the changing rooms so you have to stand up and place what you can on the hook. That was hard for me since I'm 6 1/2 months pregnant and I had to change my sons clothes in a squatting position. There is also a lots of restaurants around here so we ate out instead of inside the resort because it was expensive. The nachos for example were $10 and it was on a small paper tray that you would get a hot dog on. Overall we enjoyed our stay, the staff were very nice and helpful! I also did the precheck in the day before and was able to get my room early at the time of my arrival and not at the 4pm check in time. When it was time to check out all I had to do was send the word OUT to them in which was very convenient because I didnt have to go back to guest services to check out. Spring break was a blast for my family and we will definitely visit again.

Went there for a short time as it was a birthday party. The entire area is very kid friendly. I loved the "campfire" gathering as kids sat on the carpet and watched a video of the wilderness animals. Parents had wooden recliner chairs or benches to sit at. Ice cream store was right there for families to purchase.
We went on Friday night the parking lot was full, however they do offer valet service.
Everything seemed to be charged or scanned through their wrist bands. Towels, inner tubes.
Kids had a blast! There was a bunk bed secluded in the room with their own tv screen. There was a pull out couch and bed in the room. Overall seemed grest for a family of 4-6

We had a great time at the water park, the room was pretty nice as well. A few things left us pretty disappointed, however.

1.) They had one of the bars in the water park closed, where we were told it was because they had 35% occupancy. This is relevant because they had offered us an additional night for $100. That was a great offer that we could not accept, unfortunately. What made it sour was that they charged us $50 for a late check out. We found that pretty unnecessary being half the rate of an additional night that they had offered us, and they certainly weren't hurting for rooms.

2.) The food in the water park was not very good, at all. We paid a lot of money, and most of us only ate a portion of our food. It was also pretty disappointing that a soda, as pricey as it was, did not include any refills.

We would probably stay again, but the resort fees are quite high. We could stay two nights in the Wisconsin Dells at a similar resort for the cost of one night in Great Wolf - Gurnee.

Great weekend getaway spot. Kids under 4-5 may not have as much to do besides the water park though. The climbing course has a height requirement that is higher than the Kalahari in Wisconsin dells.

Our family loved this newly renovated indoor water park! It was clean and family friendly! It's nice to have a local place to go for a quick get away! #waterpark #familyfun #heartwayfarms

Typical water park hotel, be prepared to spend $$$, could have done a better job at check-in, they seemed rushed and not everyone was knowledgeable on the establishment and amenities. Our upgrade was way more than we wanted to spend but the original room was small and had a musty smell.

Perfect Winter Retreat. We were well taken care of by the resort staff and food was decently priced given it is a Resort. We had 2 families traveling together and we had activities from as soon as our kids were awake to when they crashed. A great place to play and take a break from the City.

Great fun for the whole family. I will say in comparison to another Great Wolf Lodge we have stayed at this one is a bit better for younger kids. The little area in the water park is great for toddlers. The breakfast buffet is extremely small compared to the other location and not worth the price we paid.

Check in process was easy. We had a group go and I cannot complain about the level of service they gave us. My only complain is cleanliness. To me that is a huge part of if we decide to go back some place or not. The trash bins were full and over flowing. The breakfast area was not clean by the time breakfast started. Tables were dirty trash under the tables. Again more trash bins overflowing. We saw trash in the hallways, waterpark and more. It just seems like the few maintenance people we saw were teenagers who were moving so slow and just didn't care. It was hard to find and open chair because there was trash on so many of them. And I get that people should not be lazy and not throw their trash away but when the trash bins are over flowing, where do you put it???

There is no more hot tub, towels are checked in and out to room using wrist bands and cost $15 each if not returned. So dont leave the towels in the pool area! Definitely not enough tubes for the lazy river and slides.

This was our first time there and must say I was very pleased. Our kiddos loved the water park of course but there are other options. Those include mini golf, bowling, rope course and events for children. It was nice not to travel too far for a mini vacation before our children return to school after holiday break.

Such a great place for a weekend stay! Awesome waterpark and a great play area outside of the waterpark. That gave everything you could ask for! I reccomend the magic quest adventure!

Spent an evening taking a tour, sampling food c and beverages, playing in the arcade and testing out a magic wand. (Try it on the dragon!)
The gift shop had great items to take home and there is a shop for swimwear and water shoes in case you forget anything. The designs were a nice selection and quality.
Looking forward to staying and trying out the water park!
