It was a fun little getaway for the family. It was great becuase we have kids of different ages and there was something to do for them all (toddler-4th grader).

Great family time. However, some miscommunications from the staff.
This place was so fun, friendly staff, very clean, lots of fun activities to do with your kids, or just the whole family, I'd visit again
Great place for the family with plenty of things to do.
Better then what was expected. Perfect family event.
great for a family with kids 10 and under. if you have teens I don't think it will appeal to them as much.
The workers in the restaurants and attractions are very friendly.
Customer service was great! The place was very clean with much to do. Of course items were pricey at night in the small store that stay open late but that's expected! Other than that we will return it was great
Staff was very nice. Rooms were clean. Water park is very fun
I must say it was very clean (everywhere) the food was delicious, reasonable prices and best of all we all had a great time.
Ended up getting a bacterial skin infection from water. Rash all over entire body.
Great family place...really geared towards small children. No water deeper then 4 1/2 feet
Me and my family loved this place. Can't wait to visit again
Hey reader. There is the best waterpark at Key Lime Cove. Key lime Cove is the best. One reason is the fun arcade. When you get enough tickets you can use them to buy toys. Another reason is coloring. There are different types of coloring sheets. There are princess cartoons and other cool stuff. The best part is a pineapple that dumps out water.
I recommend for you is if you like water parks you ll go to Key Lime Cove. I give 5/5
We went to Great Wolf for a birthday present to our youngest. We stayed for two nights and played hard for 2.5 days. We enjoyed the water park and magiquest. We didn't do any of the other paid activities in the facility. We ate lunch one day there, but otherwise avoided the food. It is expensive and my wife and I are watching our girlish figures and they don't offer many options. The one lunch I ordered the greek salad with chicken, but they were out of chicken and feta ... that was a disappointment. There are also a number of half-way decent options within a few minutes drive so we ate out for dinner each night and brought breakfast food for the morning.
The room was nice. We had the wolf den and the kids bunk-bed and "room" was a nice space to have some separation once the kids went to bed. The room was spacious, the fridge large, and shower comfortable. I never like a ac/heater unit that blows into the bed - but that's a flaw in many rooms these days.
The staff were exceptional and did a terrific job. All of the lifeguards were clearly having a good time and they reached out of their way to have fun with my boys. We particularly enjoyed anyone managing the purple slide that splashed all the kiddos (and adults) going down the slide.
The water park was good. The wave pool is small and gets crowded, but always a hit for a quick 6 minute "ride". I enjoyed the double twister ride the most, but each ride was enjoyable. The waits were fine and most of the rides the wait was only a few riders.
Magiquest was fun, but be prepared to walk. The final battle seemed more difficult than it should be and the sensor didn't seem to pick up the wand movements as I expected. There were a number of families that didn't complete the dragon battle because it wasn't working.
My only other concern is that each morning I woke up with extremely itch bites (two on my back leg, one on my arm, and two on my elbows). No one else in my family had bites, but it certainly isn't a good sign.
Great place for families!! Made everything very convient to do!!
Great family place to spend time together the staff could not be nicer!!
Great place for parents and grandparents to take the little ones. Highly recommended and you don't need to go all the way to the Wisconsin Dells.
A big improvement from key Lime Cove. New wave pool, large multi-person raft slide and lower clorinated water, going more towards the sea-salt water which brings a nice tropical atmosphere over a chemical one.
Horrible!!! Do not waste your money! Food lines were terrible. Long waits and extremely rude employees. On top of that they ran out of several food items at 6pm! Not only that, my deposit was NEVER refunded and it s a month later! Tried calling only to be put on hold for over 30 min. Tried emailing and no response days later. Worst customer service ever. Waste of money. Go somewhere else.
Nice place, great for all ages, would 5 star it if the food prices were not ridiculous. Will all the surrounding food places you would think pricing would be competitive but they are verry high. As for the trinkets you'd be better off visiting the mills which is basically right across the highway.
Everything was expensive once you got in the door. Waterpark very nice, everything very clean.
As an adult I still had a great time, everything was pricey but that was expected. I didn't want to go home that's for sure. Over all I had a great time.
Expensive and not worth the stay. Go for the day and bring snacks.. Couldn't get the ridiculous pop machine to work it took 2 staff menners 20 minutes to get me one diet coke so micro managed to save pennies.
No real managers around.
Charged for towels i returned! Oh and restuarant food was horrible! Both breakfast and dinner.
The slides were fun and the employees were very nice . I had several issues though: 1. chlorine in the air was really irritating to everyone's eyes and my family. Really irritating. 2. The office told us that the miniature golf was open until midnight when in fact it was only open until 11:00pm. 3. We asked in person at the front office and called the operator to confirm that there would be a facility tour at 8:30am on President's Day. We were told "yes" both times. When we showed up at the park entrance, no one was there. We, and other families, had to speak to multiple people to get someone to show us the behind-the-scenes tour 15 minutes after it was originally scheduled. It was a cool tour though, once someone finally came.
We live closer to The Dells, but I think we'll go to this GWL from now on. Literally everyone on the staff was so friendly. The facility was clean and inviting, and the room was lovely. We have a toddler, so there was a lot of the water park that we don't use yet, but it was a very pleasant place to spend the day - it never felt overcrowded.
It s not exactly brand new, but it s the newest GWL. As a Chicagoan, I love the location- much better than driving up to the Dells. We went with our 7 & 9 year olds; one loves to swim, the other loves to slide. The swimmer was not really happy with the pools. The wave pool is fun, but small and not deep. However the waves are a decent size. The only other swimming pool is outside and very small. They have a basketball pool and a nice lazy river. Way better than the GWL lazy river in the Dells. There is also a play structure with loads of water pouring from everywhere and two fast body slides.
They added two family raft slides. With two large adult and two small children in the raft we raced down. Small children need to hang on tight with big adults in the boat! This was the best ride there with the added velocity. There are two other body slides that have a darkened tunnel and three inner tube slides.
They also have a full bar. Inside and outside. And a market open 24 hours the sells alcohol. Maybe the parents need it!?!?
Good food options. Dunkin Donuts on site supplied our morning and afternoon coffee.
Checking takes a long time if you come between 1-4. Really really long time. They have some kids activities happening during this time to help occupy the kids as you wait. Still, it takes a long long time.
Our room was great. Huge balcony. Huge jacuzzi. Plenty of room. Mini Fridge and microwave in the room. However, our shower didn t work well and it didn t drain so we almost had water all over the floor. Curious for a place that just opened a month ago.
This place is great if you have a family with younger kids. However the thrill ride factor is very low.
Everything was just okay at best. I don't see us going back to that location however, it's worth driving a couple hours extra to hit the Dells.
Had a good time and the kids had a blast , definitely going back
I loved the place. Very clean very polite and the water was excellent
Pretty nice. The water park didn t go through much of a redesign, but the hotel part did. I was a little surprised that the water park looked a lot like Key Lime Cove did before. Great Wolf did add a new wave pool and some new slides though. The rooms are loud and you can often hear people walking through the halls at night.
I would rate is more than 5 stars. Me and my family went here and it was such an amazing experience. We are going here again soon. I would recommend it so much! I enjoyed everything.
Had an AWESOME time there last weekend. Wasnt crowded , everyone complied with wearing their mask and the crew at Great Wolf did a Great job with sanitizing. Me and my family felt comfortable and had a blast. THANKS GREAT WOLF LODGE
Heat didn't work in two of the rooms but otherwise good.
We went on an off peak Thursday and got a great deal! Kids (9,8) had a good time in waterpark and loved the Magiquest game throughout the property. Room was fine, definitely some wear and air filter on ac was gross which they replaced. Nice close trip to Chicago, and try to go anytime but the weekend or holidays. Nice family trip!
This place is great. A perfect little get away. Went with the romance package, and it was well worth it. The food was fantastic, the service was amazing, and the fun was nonstop! Took advantage of everything we could.
They are cutting a lot of corners now. They need to have the water park section open for longer hours. The bed & bedding were terrible. Overall, it was not as clean as it has been in the past.
This place is awesome alittle pricey on there stuff but over all we had a wonderful time so far water park is so cool!!
Great place to get away for the weekend with the kids waterpark is alot of fun food is on the pricey side and no refills on drinks kinda upsetting
MY FAMILY HAD A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE...WE HAD TO TURN AROUND AFTER 10PM & DRIVE BACK HOME.. MY CHILDREN WERE SAD & CRYING DUE TO MANAGEMENT NOT BELIEVING IN CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. IN MY OPINION THE STAFF NEED TO BE TRAINED AGAIN.. YES THEY SMILE & THEY WHERE FRIENDLY HOWEVER WHEN HANDLING CONCERNS THERE'S SOME UNPROFESSIONALISM GOING ON.. THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT MONEY...NOT SERVICES
Not much for the paying adults. No hot tub . Thursday night only beer or wine available, a daiquiri or mixed drink would have been nice. Everything costs extra. Kids burned through $50 in the arcade in less than 15 minutes. Everything is a cash grab. The beds were comfortable & service everywhere was good. Next time we will make sure visit place that includes a hot tub & drinks
Awesome water park! Had a blast with my family! Lots to do here other than go swimming. You can go shopping at their stores they have an arcade room for the kids. You almost have to just go and find out. I definitely want to visit this place sometime in the near future. Loved it!
I absolutely loved this place and so did the children. It was very clean and the staff was friendly. Cant wait to visit again.
Great indoor water park resort. Usually must book at least one night to gain access to waterpark endless your part of a large group event. Place is well kept and still feels new. Lifeguards are well trained and very attentive. Rides and activities for all ages. Arcade and other dry activities available.
Waterpark and staff r very nice. But the other attractions are pricey, grandkids we're disappointed, we couldn't afford to do them with 3 kids.
Super family friendly. Rooms are a little on the pricey side, but the food and other options are reasonable all things considered.
Pretty good time. The room was standard and fine... could have been cleaner, but only minor issues. The waterpark was nice. I never understand why they don't have more tubes and you have to search/wait for one to be available. Never much of a line to get on a slide though, so that was great.
The arcade is expensive, and Magiquest isn't nearly as much fun as the one on Wisconsin Dells. There is no dedicated Magiquest area, so you just find things throughout the hotel.
All in all, a great time for the groupon price we paid. I wouldn't stay here at full price.
Ultimately, the kids had a good time so that's the important part.
Kids' paradise, so much to do under one roof! We will see you again.
It's a small Waterpark, but it's very enjoyable for kids.
It's a pretty impressive indoor park. Everything there will be over priced. The rooms are adequate. They don't have near enough front desk staff to handle check in and check out during busy times. In the winter the water was actually pretty chilly. But for little kids it's a chance to play a bunch.
I attended a breakfast meeting. The room was nice with comfortable seating. The wait staff was very attentive and our food was delicious.
The water park is clean and well-run, there are plenty of nearby options to eat so you are not held captive to the expensive on-site food.
MagiQuest is cool, but you end up running all over the hotel and it becomes more of a chore than fun. The kids get bored and the adults end up wandering around completing the quests.
Absolutely get the wolf pass for $60 per kid, the attractions (mini bowling, rock climbing, MagiQuest, ropes course, mini-golf are *hideously* expensive when purchased ala carte.
One major problem I have, however, is the temperature control in the "suite" rooms were there is a small hangout area with a fold-out couch separated from the main hotel room with a sliding door. The problem is that the room's only thermostat is located in that back suite area, which has an outside wall and is where the sliding glass balcony door is located.
In the winter, with the door closed between this area and the main hotel room (when sleeping), the back room is *far* colder than the main room, causing the thermostat to trip and raise the temperature horribly in the main room. So you have the choice of the main room being a good temperature and the back room being freezing, or the back room being a good temperature and the main room being boiling hot. Very bad design.
When we were there, the outside temperature was in the 40s, so it's not like this is only an issue when it's below 0 outside.
5 stars for fun and value.
We brought our 4 and 5 ur olds for a single night stay, got there early and they had a room ready with an upgrade.
We had tons of fun at the waterpark and got dressed up for a Halloween event.
After squeezing in a little more water park time we got cleaned up for story time in our pjs. It was so cute seeing all those kiddos in their jammies with wolf ears on.
You could spend a lot here because they do have a lot of activities, but you get tons of fun with your stay alone.
I found it to be clean and the staff was great.
This place was amazing some of the reviews state that s there s not much to do after the water park but there is you can go for story time magic quest Ben and Jerry s you can do the ropes course you can do a lot I woke up at 8:40 and the staff was willing to great me asking me how my day is going and how they can make it better one thing I hated was how thin the rooms where you can here guest running up and down the halls it rlly annoying suggest get a noise machine other than that it was great!!!
A little pricey, but made for a nice quick Waterpark getaway near Chicago. A lot of restaurant options in the area.
Im 11 and I went here when I was 5 honestly I can't remember a lot but I had some freaking fun. My dad tells me that I cried when we left the water park but I tell you one thing best for kids rooms are little fishy but still I had some fun!
People are fighting for tube in lazy river when it is crowded. You need to rent a tube for a fee to avoid the fight.
Lots of issues and never got a response from management
Beautiful place to rest all the family and have fun with children on the pool's
First trip to Gurnee. It was an old indoor water park that GWL bought out. They did a nice job on the renovations. We have always stayed in Mason, OH and we're expecting a similar stay. This one has a much more modern or urban feel as opposed to the lodge feel we are used to. As usual, food is over priced. The buffet here is a 1 pass all you can eat, so load your plates! The water park is ok. It was dirtier than I expected. We saw 3 bandages floating and quite a bit of hair in walking areas. The staff are very friendly. It wasn't a bad experience, just a lot different from what we were used to. We plan to go back to Mason next time.
Rooms were clean and ready ahead of schedule. The water park area was clean, but crowded with not enough tubes for everyone. Food was good, but a little pricey. Balloon animal maker guy was great with the kids, and plenty of things for kids of all ages to do.
We went to play at Magiquest. had a very fun family experience. different than other magiquest as it was throughout 2 floors of the hotel vs. an isolated immersive area.
It was a fun time. The rooms were not that bad. The arcade room was my favorite! I just think the water park should add some things because its not that big. when i went the two body slides were shut down leaving only 3 slides open.
I didnt have the opportunity to fully participate in the park's amenities, but I did experience the friendly staff and beautiful room and very comfortable bed.
We were VERY disappointed in the quality of the beds! The mattresses were the most worn and uncomfortable leaving us with backaches the next morning when the kids want to run around and have fun at the waterpark. The pull out couch was ABSOLUTELY AWFUL! My son felt like he was sleeping on metal all night and there wasn't much "mattress" even there. This was the most uncomfortable experience we have had. When you looked at the couch itself, it looked as if you were going to fall into a hole - that's how much of lack of padding, cushion, anything was there! Knowing this is a place for families and those pullout couches are utilized, much more needs to be put into improving the rooms! VERY disappointed especially for the price!
For the most part otherwise, we enjoy the waterpark and accommodations. The food is better than other waterparks and we enjoy the great selection of games in the arcade and now the mini golf too. For being a close weekend getaway - it's not bad; however PLEASE invest in good mattresses and bedding to guarantee return of guests!
Great fun but greater expense !! Way too expensive to even have a snack there. Come prepared. We even brought an air fryer
Newly opened. Very clean, nice rooms, indoor waterpark
We came to celebrate my daughter s second birthday so we spent two nights there. It was AMAZING! We had a great time! The staff was so nice and friendly. We also loved the water park it has several slides, kids area, lazy river and even though there s a review saying there isn t a wave pool THERE IS A WAVE POOL as well. We definitely plan to return in the future!
Everything was good. Lots of water. Plenty of fun to have.
Nice water park and a lot of non water activity's for the kids
