Reminds me of Disney's Aulani. It's truly a great resort between the JW and Ritz.

Service is great. The sushi bar not so much. Needs a bit of TLC in the JW.

Obviously Ritz is on the higher end. Totally worth it for families!!!!

Aside from the self parking, from the moment we walked in this place, we felt relaxed. We were only here for one night because of an error with a cruise reservation but this couldn't have been a better experience. I do need to highlight one specific area...the cafe next to Starbucks. Not only are they over accommodating, but they have many gluten free options which is important for me. It's a food choice, not an allergy bit it provided me numerous options and it was appreciated. The room was perfect. You do need a new roof however and I can gladly assist if someone felt the need to reach out to me. :)

Excellent hotel. Polite and meticulous cleaning staff. Downright palatial lobby. Excellent in-hotel restaurants (Whisper Creak Farm Kitchen was particularly fantastic). Gorgeous grounds. Fantastic lazy river pool. Very attentive staff. Very comfortable and well-appointed rooms (large bathrooms a big plus). All in all, fantastic hotel experience. Would recommend.

Attended Child Welfare Summit for 2nd or 3rd year in a row at this location. Despite having a hard attendance count, they never seem to have enough food or seating for breaks. Otherwise hotel is fine.

My stay was extremely disappointing. Through the various examples of poor costumer service, I was displeased with how the JW treated me as a guest and customer.

Regardless, I would happily return to this JW because of the way Andre Murry and his leadership team handled my disappointing stay. I expressed to him that I expected my resort experience to follow that of any JW and he fully understood. I feel completely confident that Andre has followed through with his promise to directly address all issues related to my specific stay. He even thanked me for bringing these issues to his attention because he is striving for his resort to live up to the brand reputation of excellence. This unprecedented level of professionalism is the reason I will return to this specific property; moreover, Marriott associates like Andre are the main reason my business and personal travel are loyal to the Marriot brand.

The resort is beautiful and the rooms are extremely spacious with modern and luxury amenities. The physical property lives up to the JW reputation. I hope to return so that I can experience the changes Andre has implemented.

Wonderful! One of very best hotels I've stayed at...Employees extremely gracious and go the extra mile. I had medical issue, and they were very compassionate and got me to emergency room STAT. Very beautiful hotel, wonderful staff, wonderful food, great location. Wish I could come back for a real vacation again. Convention and class this time.

Let me start by saying that if the rating was based on customer service alone the rating would be a five. The staff is amazing and really fixed two major issues I had during my visit. They even went out of their way to recovery my cell phone charger after I had to move rooms due to an issue not related to the hotel. The reason for 4 star rating is that for the price the hotel is showing its age. The view from my balcony revealed several broken roof tiles and a large amount of junk of the roof and trees. I would also caution you about the food prices on property, this place makes Disney resorts look like a bargin on food prices, very pricey for any food at resort.

Once you walk into the lobby, it smells like you ve walked into a spa. Staff is great , rooms are standard. Each room gets two complimentary bottles of water but they have fresh water everywhere throughout the hotel so there s never a worry of dehydration! The resort is huge especially if you walk over to the Ritz side.
The lazy river pool is Amazing and I honestly will never be able to go back to regular pools now. Each room gets 2 tubes to borrow. You can return them at the end of day or keep it in your room for the remainder of your stay. We chose to return after each day because why bring wet tubes to your room??
We had food by the pool which was actually restaurant quality and not the Disney hotel poolside food you might expect.
There s a lunch buffet at
citron for $15! It includes, salad, sandwiches, soup, flatbreads and dessert. Definitely a good value GoT a simple meal as I had one (soggy) premade sandwich, water and chips for the same price from the cafe.
Gratuity is automatically added which I find convenient. To the people complaining about the costs of food/gratuity/fees- it is pretty standard across the board for restaurants and hotels so I have a hard time understanding what the complaints are for. It is also clear when you book your room that there are resort fees.
There are complimentary shuttles to universal or Disney that you must reserve at the concierge desk.
Pro tip: download the bonvoy app to use the mobile key/check in check out/ or even ask for services! The pool is crowded on weekends and holidays so if you can avoid these times, do it!

It was ok but it is NOT a resort it is a conference center. Rooms were nice, staff very nice but the conferences going on made it questionable why I was paying a $35 day resort fee. The lobby bar mobed with people from the conferences, restaurants closed for private events. Sunday afternoon no where to go to have a beer and watch a game. I walked over to the hotel next door. I wish I had gone over to one of the theamparks would have been a lot more fun and a lot less money. Also parking there is $28 a day. Some of the restaurants add a tip to the bill. This was only mentioned only once, not sure if I double tipped a lot or not. FINALLY, there is no business center only a FedEx store the they call a business center.

Spent a few days at the JW before going on to Disney. The hotel was nice, the pool was wicked nice, staff was really sweet. The breakfast buffet was surprisingly good, way better then you expect from hotel food.

Came here for a conference and I was very pleased with my stay. I kind of hate Florida weather, so I never left the building to experience the property or pool, etc. I have to say, hating the heat and humidity like I do, some hotels in hot, humid places have uncomfortable common areas that make you want to not leave the room, but it was very comfortable everywhere I went in the Marriott. I did use the valet, bell desk, and front desk several times as well as the conference center and restaurant. Valet and bell desk were both quick, attentive and friendly, and the front desk was especially helpful with helping me arrange a late check-out and getting my luggage taken care of while I was still trapped in meetings. The restaurant (Primo) was INCREDIBLE, and the conference center was excellent. I actually told my coworker, for whom this was her first conference, that she will never have conference food this good and fresh again, because this is the best I've had in 7 years of conferences! I do hate that I wasn't here longer to experience more, but would absolutely come back.

Love, love, love this place. We come here every year for a conference. It is a beautiful hotel with amazing accommodations. They have restaurants and a Starbucks inside the hotel. Shared gym with the Ritz hotel. The conference rooms are spacious and clean.

The Grande Lakes Resort is very nice. Hotel stay includes bus to theme parks each day, use of the resort, and high speed internet. Rooms are nice, and housekeeping is very good. The only negatives are that the food is a bit too expensive and Primo restaurant charges a split check fee which is rediculous.

No upgrades for gold members maybe higher levels. Rooms are nice but bit smallish. Swimming pool is great lazy river is really lazy :) not a lot water attractions for kids no slides, splash places just water in the pool there is shallow water pool for kids that's it. Looks like hotel tries to take your money on every step ie. I have paid for 4 person room with breakfast but on pool side you receive only 2 tubes for pool if you want more you need to pay 5 bucks / each tube every day! Really is it about 5 dollars when you pay 200++ for night?

Great hotel, rooms and grounds are very nice. Common area's are beautiful, we really enjoyed our stay. The only thing they need to improve is self parking, it took way too long to try to find a spot, I finally gave up and used valet (which they were nice enough to comp).

The pool at this hotel is amazing; heated w/ a lazy river, a good depth for smaller children. Restaurants are ok, a bit pricey for the fare but ambience makes up for that. Overall service is 1st class, be prepared to pay "hotel taxes" w/ all amenities.

Hello,

Hello,
On Sunday evening I was going to dinner on the Orlando JWMarriott property with my son and his family. We walked by the ATM in the hallway and my grandson noticed that someone had left $20.00 in the tray. He was excited to find the money. My son and his wife did the right thing and told him that he needed to turn in the money. He did so reluctantly. When he joined me at dinner he said if no one claimed the money he would get it. He was so excited!
So my question is this...did someone claim the money or did something else happen to the $20.00. Either way, I would think a call from your hotel would be in order letting him know of the results. If the money was claimed by someone, he would be able to reflect on the good thing he did. If the money was not claimed, then it should be given to him as promised by the person at the desk.
Thank you for your response. It is difficult to teach kids valuable lessons in the world today.
Althea Walker.

Truly a luxury hotel and grounds. Came here for a conference and was thoroughly impressed by the amenities. Super clean hotel all around. Very friendly staff. Relatively close to the parks, but not the closest hotel. The parking is way overpriced for Orlando: Self parking = $29/night, Valet parking = $39/night.

Not worth it for the price in my opinion. Had multiple instances where staff were either unhelpful or pointed me in the wrong direction. One of my co-workers had their toilet break on them at 1am and had to be moved to a different room. Obviously it's a nice hotel but $800 for three nights is a little high for what it is.

Was held captive here for 3 days for a Sales Summit. Room and staff was excellent. Perfect time of the year, not a lot of kids as most were in school. You will need a second mortgage if you're going to be spending much time in restaurants or bars but that's typical of most resorts.

Stayed at this hotel for a medical event 1/11/2018-1/14/2018. From the booking, to check in, to check out, and hours of post-checkout discussions, the hotel experience has been a fiasco. Wrong charges, duplicate charges, multiple incorrect invoices, 1-hour-plus on the phone so far including transfer upon transfer, and unprofessional front desk attendant, etc. For $322/night, you would expect much better. I will avoid Marriott going forward and recommend events be held elsewhere.
