Best property in the Orlando area. The restaurant on site has a garden where they source a lot of their produce - and it s delicious! The lake surrounding the area is beautifully maintained and there is something for everyone here - lazy river, boats, kayaks, hammocks, bocce, and volleyball.

The best, as always. Great service, golf, lazy river, overall stress free atmosphere. Can't miss breakfast/brunch at Citron's enhanced by the never miss a beat staff. Five stars an understatement
This place is horrible. Our room had black mold in the bathroom, then the plumbing had issues and our toilet started overflowing the bath water from another room. This is the third year in a row I have had an issue with this hotel. The first year, my vehicle and 21 others were broken in to and their security system is so old and antiquated, they had no footage of the incident. Then they told me they would fix my window. Little did I know I was going to get the bill for the repairs then I had to submit an invoice to get re-emburssed and they took 90 days to pay me back. The second year they accused me of using a fraudulent card at check in. I never even used a card at check in because my card had been hit with fraud and shut down the day before. The customer service is horrible, all they do is say sorry and go about their day without ever trying to make things right. I have better security cameras in my home and they say this is a high end hotel. Don t waste your money. Go stay at almost any other hotel in Orlando and you will have a better experience than this dump.
Huge resort. Pricey but nice. Great for conferences or trades shows. Regular rooms are a bit cramped, but the beds are very comfortable. Bathrooms are very nice with shower and separate bath tub.
We stayed here for a full week and enjoyed every minute of it. The lazy river pool is great! The grounds were well kept, the staff was friendly, and our suite was amazing.
Absolutely beautiful hotel. Also, if you ever get a chance, take the time to eat at the restaurant on site, Primo. It will run about $100 for two but is worth every dollar. The waiters were knowledgeable and eager to assist. The chef was available to answer any questions and happy to show us the open kitchen which was amazing to watch.
I LOVE this property! Every time we go to Orlando we try to stay here especially when there are good rates! We ve stayed in the Gaylord and this is much better! Grand lakes has a beautiful property, lazy river, and great food! They have it decorated for the holidays and even had a hot chocolate station! This hotel is extremely family friendly! A staff member Lolya gave my 4 year old a bunch of holiday goodies! We were celebrating my daughters birthday and the hotel staff( loyla!!!) made it even more special!!! I cannot say enough about the staff loyla, Ryan, and Jessica were all wonderful!! My daughter feels very special. My time here reminds me why I don t like to stay anywhere else but here when in Orlando. I also want to add thank you for making an Explore Rate still feel like a special guest! This is the only property that has done that and that means the world!
I have stayed at the JW on several occasions and let me preface by saying it s a great resort/hotel with amazing food, amenities and pool. The beds are so comfortable and it s very easy to get a good night s rest. However, I really find it annoying that the room rate is clearly understating the actual costs of the visit. The advertised room price will get you a room and that s it. If you want to park, use WiFi, facilities, etc. it s all extra and built in to additional fees outside of the room rate. Average price of room is around $169 plus fees comes closer to $260 all said and done. This unethical pricing strategy should be addressed by management ASAP. While I love this hotel and I could spend all day in the pool and lazy river, I m so annoyed at all the hidden extras. It s absolutely ridiculous. If you can get over that, this is the place for you. The food provided via room service is amazing - the $41 beef tenderloin is cooked perfectly!
The hotel has everything you may want in a weekend without need of leaving. The lazy river/water park, fresh garden, restaurants, etc... One of my favorite Marriotts of all time!
One of my fave hotels in Orlando. Esp during the holidays. Usually have fireworks display. Lazy river and pool always a great time. Good for kids and adults. Restaurants throughout hotel awesome. Easy walk to Ritz Carlton where spa services always ranked at the top. When your at the poolside bar make sure you try #Ramsandparrots #whiskey
The hotel is BEAUTIFUL, inside and out. Very nice place to be. Reminds me of a smaller Atlantis (Bahamas) on the outside. The rooms were amazing too. Very comfortable beds & bedding. HUGE tv in the room with wonderful software features on it including linking your Netflix account, viewing your room bill, & more. Staff is helpful and friendly. Pool & lazy river area is wonderful! They also had a nice sand volleyball court, pool table, kids games. A very nice place for a Staycation! They also have outdoor sports activities like kayaking, mountain biking, golf. I really wish I would have known this prior to arriving, as we did not pack clothes/shoes for those activities. I do wish the lazy river was about a foot deeper, and a smidgen faster, but it was still a very relaxing experience. All of the food we had there was delicious, but, word of caution, it is all very expensive. I wish they had some cheaper options.
I vacationed here with my family and it was very fun. We only stayed for a long weekend, but from the whole stay I had no complaints. It is extremely convenient because the Marriott is connected the the Ritz Carlton. You can walk between the two any time of day and it is really worth it because the Ritz has great breakfast and lunch dining options as well as a very fancy adult pool. I definitely recommend no matter your age or how many people you re traveling with.
Stayed here for a conference and had a great experience. Rooms were very nice, and the restaurants were surprisingly good as well. Service was fantastic, and I would not hesitate to stay here again in the future.
Staff was everything you'd expect at a JW. A bit crowded, but hey, it's Orlando, right? Nice Italian restaurant on-site (Primo) was a real surprise. Pricey but WAY better than you'd expect at a hotel. Wait staff was top notch. Jodi modified a menu item for wife, no problem. Back to the hotel....not sure how they train their staff, but I have found them to be among the best there are at chain hotels. I've stayed in JW's in 5 countries and it's been consistently great.
This hotel is so comfortable beautiful and elegant.the service and associates are wonderful. the pool is a pleasure and the food at every restaurant is delish. we frequent the ritsz spa as well and love the pool, gift shop and cafe. overall our favorite place to stay in florida.
If anyone is looking for a great vacations this is the perfect place. Have wonderful pool and many activities for kids is the beautiful and best place tu stay
If I would have known that construction was going on and the entire pool /lazy river area were going to be closed for the weekend, I would have changed my reservation. You would think this is something they would tell their guests, instead of letting us figure it out for ourselves. Additionally, no concierge lounge for platinum members because 'they're a resort', however the last resort I stayed at at least gave us complimentary breakfast. Lastly, I was told my room was upgraded however the room was average size and dated. I would not like to see what the original room was supposed to be. Very unimpressed with management choices here.
Great rooms, wonderful concierge service, but, the restaurants were WAY OVER PRICED! Breakfast alone was $60....worth an Uber trip to eat local outside the hotel! This was a complaint amongst everybody at our convention!
Clean, great staff, huge hotel and fantastic pool, amazing view and an all around great place to stay for only a couple hundred a night strongly recommend if you're not staying in a disney hotel, and its relatively close to anything such as universal was only a $16 uber ride away.
I was here for six nights during a conference and it was an amazing experience. The rooms were impressive and the JW Marriott Suite that I visited had breathtaking views, especially during sunset. The catered food was a bit salty but the friendly service made up for it. I highly recommend spending the day at the lazy river pool.
Absolutely beautiful. It was so luxurious and the staff was so kind to my toddler. The restaurants are killer and I could have spent all day at the lazy river!!
Very nice property, lobby and meeting room. Did not stay in any room so cannot elaborate on that part. Good service at front desk. Good parking facilities. Nice public areas.
I used to love this hotel until they compromised my security and modesty. I had the privacy sign out but an employee came into my room without permission and insulted my modesty.
Management didn't treat this as a serious issue and tried to sweep it under the rug. Marriott's remedy was insulting and laughable. Just goes to show that guests are not their priority.
I was thinking about switching from Hilton and Hyatt to Marriott as my preferred hotel. Guess I'm staying with Hilton and Hyatt.
