Seriously people, maybe if your a novice traveler but by all accounts jW has allot to learn about five star ! I booked a weekend with explicit instructions for bath tub , balcony and suite with golf course view . I ended up with a walk in wheel chair shower and a view overlooking the roof , not to mention no balcony . I was told
Is I wanted to upgrade for $1,000 to the presidential suite I could . Five minutes later after walking I
My suite I went to the front desk to get the upgrade to presidential . I was told the offer is no longer available , yes it s very pretty inside the lobby . The rooms have allot to be desired unless your use to red roof or motel six

One of the best resorts I've stayed at in the Continental United States. Impeccable service and absolutely beautiful property. You almost forget you're not away in another country. Views from hotel room balcony are great. Resort have a good amount of things to do if you don't feel like traveling to the different tourist attractions in the nearby area. Only minor downside is the hotel rooms to not have a microwave so if you bring back food to heat up you'll be out of luck.

I really wanted to like this hotel but the customer service is horrible! We bought the bus vouchers for Epcot and they were suppose to pick us up at 5 in the bus that they took us in. They showed up at 530 in the rain ( we have two small children)in a van that we didn't fit in. Made us take a taxi to the hotel because they didn't have transportation available. My husband was treated horribly bad when he got to the hotel and asked for an explanation. We usually stay at the bonnet creek when we come here to Orlando and I highly recommend that you do too! The hotel is just as nice and the service is friendly. And their bus was there at 5pm! The only reason I have it 2 stars and not 1 is because the hotel is nice but there are just as nice hotels in the area without the sucky attitude!

I stayed here for 1 night and it wasn t what I expected, this is definitely not the cheapest Marriott hotel In the area so I felt the standards as far as service, cleanliness and manager support were not met. To start my bed sheets were stained with make up or who knows what kind of stain, I m pretty sure they from a previous guest and this is unacceptable for a hotel on this price range, I don t want to blame just the housekeeper because after they finish cleaning there is a supervisor that doubles check and certifies that the room is clean and ready for the next guest so this was definitely overlooked. Also there was not a complementary bottle of water in the room or at least one to purchase from a mini bar, so I had to go out in the middle of the night to buy a bottle of water because no one would offer to provide one. On top of everything they charge a ridiculous resort fee of 35$ that includes shuttle to the parks (what if you have you own car and you don t need it?) / WiFi service that when you tried to connect it said there was an extra 14.99$ p/day fee????? I totally understand some guests might find it useful to purchase this extra package but it shouldn t have to be mandatory, it should be optional. And to finish, the alarm was set up for 6 am, the staff didn t reset the alarm on the room s clock prior my arrival so who is the supervisor on charge of these rooms? Who s not doing the basic things this job requires to make sure the rooms are ready for future guests? I had a really bad experience, I complained at the reception desk at check out and explained to the staff at detail my negative experience and the replied was.... would you like a bottle of water sir? .... Extremely disappointed and I will open up a case with my credit card company to ask for a refund.

Only one place open for breakfast on LABOR DAY WEE...

Only one place open for breakfast on LABOR DAY WEEKEND in the entire resort. If you want to eat at the resort, I hope your pockets are deep! Your options for food during the day are the poolside cafe ($80 for 2 sandwiches and 2 drinks) and that's it! No restaurant inside is open until 5pm everyday! Not to mention the strict alcohol policy at the gate to the pool. I understand no glass, but a lady at the gate actually told me I had to chug my beer (in my Yeti) or throw it away. Meanwhile, there are people with canned beer everywhere. Definitely needs customer service training and a concierge that helps you locate things around the resort. Also, all of the elevators are in the same area for both wings of the hotel. Don't expect to be able to walk out of the elevator in the morning if you're trying to get breakfast. There will be 200+ people in a small area trying to go to the ONE place open for breakfast besides Starbucks. Who the hell wants Starbucks on their vacation ?!

The most beautiful property and amenities! Service is very good. The spa and exclusive spa pool is a 3 story heavenly experience between 2 luxury hotels. Gift shops, Starbucks, lobby bar and several restaurants have great food with convenience. The bed was also the most comfortable with the BEST pillows ever!!!!

What s great:

What s great:
Hotel outside appearance & ambience
Hotel public spaces appearance & ambience
Lazy river & pool
Starbucks on-site

What s good:
Friendly staff to accommodate needs

What s not good:
Flat pillows (overused)
Hard beds
Dated bedroom furnitures and decors
Dated bathrooms & fixtures
Poor shower pressure (16th floor)
Thin walls (heat clear neighbor convos)
Self parking lots inoperable gates
Expensive onsite food and drinks

Overall:
Will recommend to others, but with reservation. Rooms are old but public area looked majestic. You come here for the Lazy River. Services all around are good.

The JW service was not like how it use to be. Prior to our visit, my MIL had called the hotel to know if there was any damage due to Hurricane Irma. We were told that there were no problems and were fully operational. When we arrived, we found that the lazy river was closed the entire weekend and the two hotels (Ritz and JW) had to share the Ritz pool; not to mention it was very crowded. In addition, I went with some family where we each had the Couple's Package. When we arrived, none of the rooms were next to each other (what we requested), and the rooms were not ready with the strawberries, champagne, etc. The turn down service was also not done each night. Our rooms were compensated for one night each and the resort fee was waived due to the lazy river being down. But irregardless, we did not get the service that we had originally paid for.

Stayed here while at a work conference at a nearby hotel and loved it. The Lazy River is great, all the restaurants have good food (although expensive), and the vast majority of guests were very understanding about my 1.5 year old son running all over the place. The concierge is very helpful and we took advantage of Ritz-Carlton benefits such as Kids Club activities and the photography concierge, which includes a free 45 minute photo session. Concierge will give you a $50 coupon which will buy one or two prints. Make sure you join Bonvoy to get free WiFi in your room.

I enjoyed my stay here. The hotel room was great, and the bathroom was big with a nice tub. They have a huge heated pool and lazy river decorated with beautiful waterfalls. The restaurant Primo has incredible food and excellent service. Primo has a really cute garden you can walk through. The hotel landscaping is lovely, and there are hammocks around the property as well as a romantic swing bench between two willow trees by the lake. The lobby is beautiful, and they have different water dispensers infused with either lime, or berries, or oranges, so fancy! One time, I walked by and there was a woman serving complimentary mimosas!

Gone downhill. Stinky rugs!

All of the amenities do not come through with their promises. Worst customer service. Used to be the best and now it s no better then comfort inn, Especially when trying to resolve issues that the resort caused. They don t care about their guests. Has gone way downhill from it s prime.
Also thank scott I m guest services for bs and lies!

Overpriced and feels like a tourist trap with price gauging in every aspect. Expected so much more for what we payed. Would have preferred to spend the money at a universal resort or the Waldorf.

Stayed for a presentation, and enjoyed the lazy river after. It wasn't too crowded, and after swimming for a bit, my family and I ate poolside. The restaurant next to the lobby was wonderful. Kind staff. Nice rooms (with a huge rev).

I am a long time Marriott customer. I have achieved life time platinum status and am a member of Marriott s Ambassadors club. In over 1500 nights with Marriott I have not experienced another Marriott property this poor. Save yourself time and energy, and stay at the neighboring Ritz. Every stay I have had at that Ritz has been great!

Helpful staff but Not really the place for small
Children. Rooms felt cramped. No microwave to warm bottles with. No arcade for kids. No quick cheap kids pizza or junk food place. Didn t want to buy a fancy gourmet pizza for a 3 year old.

Magnificent settings and landscaping! Impressive lobby, good beds and pillows. Need some attention to details specially for the rate this hotel charges. Some light fixtures and the telephones were not working. Packing of the shower doors were broken and the drawer s doors don t close. Employees were super attentive and response was immediate.

Nice hotel. Impressive grounds, pool, lobby. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom felt dated, but it was clean. Decent amenities onsite. Convenient to the airport. At the price point however, I believe there are better options and locations. Great place for a conference.

Extremely pleasant hotel. Very attentive staff, impeccable cleanliness, wonderful leisure area. Parking is paid, as is breakfast. The location is good. There are 2 cafeterias inside the hotel and 3 more restaurants. I would definitely go back.

The associates need to be trained to be more accommodating and polite for a luxury property.

This property had a Starbucks on premise that was auto-mapped as a nearby cafe detour on our road trip. We made the detour here but it was a complete waste of time when we found out that we would have to pay $29 to park just to buy coffee at the Starbucks! I had trusted a top of the line Marriott property, being a Marriott Platinum Premier member. However, the staff we encountered at this JW Marriott was rude and far from being the usual luxury hospitality staff. Also, the manager was not available speak to us to work out this coffee situation, and there was no staff available with enough abilities to help with this situation.

This is an extraordinary Hotel! Much like their JW Marco Island beach resort is, but in Orlando. The check-in staff is the finest available. Brandon is wonderful. EMILY, too. Your truly feel like it is the staff member's pleasure to spoil you. The beauty, the accomidations, the little extras, the big extras...to make your stay above what you can expect...is quite special. Blown away. We feel like royalty. The pool is amazing. The restaurants and shops are amazing. Every staff member greets you and asks you how you are, and if can they do anything for you. I've had the pleasure of staying at some of the finest hotels...and this is the bar that all hotels should strive to emulate-in every aspect. Definitely will return. Don't think twice to stay here.
