Stayed for a corporate event. Parking is a RIP-OFF!!! For them to be considered a 5 star hotel is a joke. Nothing amazing about the rooms. You could stay at Disney and get 5x better service. Manager at citron bar was absolutely rude and uncaring (why be in the hospitality industry if you don't know how to speak to other human beings)!! BE CAUTIOUS of liquor bar!! I'm surprised nobody has gotten seriously hurt, because every night someone had to be dragged away from the bar from alcohol poisoning! A single drink has 3 shots and some ice. Very deadly combo (this is how they hook you to buy more)! Room service was horrid ( how can you call that green pesto pizza food! I'm utterly disgusted and disappointed in my experience. What a waste of property space!
Not close to anything & is super expensive; but has great customer service & rooms.
Beautiful hotel with updated, luxurious rooms and fantastic amenities. Plenty of entertainment and dining options as well. And the room rates were more affordable than you might expect. If you're looking for a weekend getaway in Orlando, JW is worth a look.
We stayed for 3 nights during Thanksgiving and hada great time, staff is very attentive and facilities are nice
Very generous and nice facility. Very friendly staff. Good starting point for a variety of things.
This place is totally great - one of the best pools I've ever been to. Yes - they have a fee for everything - but you know that going in so don't worry about it. Grounds are super well kept - staff is wonderful. Can't wait to come back.
Went there because my GPS said it was the closest FedEx. The employees were really nice and let me park on the curb of the hotel instead of paying for parking because I was only going in there to ship a box. The hotel is beautiful and clean and everything is easy to find with the signs. Unfortunately, the FedEx charges a handling fee if you are not a hotel guest
I can't explain how amazing this place is. The staff are so friendly, and when we had an unfortunate situation uccur, the staff were the first to act fast and assist. We are so grateful for their help and I'm
So thankful that we chose to stay here. The hotel has such a warm and welcoming atmosphere and is perfect for couples, families or even travelling friends (as I was with my best friend!)
Beautiful place. Excelent confort and flawless service!!
Awesome deep lazy river! Beautiful property. Would have given 5 stars but the food was very disappointing.
A great hotel , nevertheless, Concerige screws up our daughter's appointment at the Ritz Kids Club for Session 1 today and we are going back at 2pm.to New York. No one seems to have any records of the conversation my wife had with Concerige and no reservations has been made at the kids club. 1 disappointed kid and a pair of annoyed parents for spoiling the vacation of their 4 yr old
Ridiculous expense of parking for just a few hours. Advise conferences be responsible and comp parking.
Beautiful hotel, great restaurants. WiFi was spotty.
Elegant, excellent for family, cozy, central. Ideal to rest.
Fantastic location, wonderful staff, rooms are spacious and comfortable. Pool area and meeting rooms are very pleasant. The only minor note would be lack of outlets in the rooms.
All the rooms are really comfortable. Fantastic place for a work conference. Pool and last river are great!
Nice hotel, great service. Breakfast buffet was so good.
The pools are amazing, rooms clean and nice, loved my stay here.
Large property with beautiful scenery, friendly staff, and many things onsite to do.
This was a beautiful hotel with fantastic amenities. They upgraded us Upson check in.
They picked up packages for us that were delivered there to laundry deliveries left and picked up by an external company.
Primo and cafe bodega were nice eateries to visit inside the complex.
Unfortunately no points were added to my account after staying in the hotel, customer service said then can t add it already, too late. Very disappointing.
Awesome resort style pools with a huge leafy river, very classy resort
Stayed here for business for the week. Very nice hotel, the lazy river/pool is awesome to go relax at if you have time.
awesome hotel grand suit and presidential suit are very nice highly recommend!
The service has been great, everything is clean, well maintained, and the lobby areas are impressive, but I'm not staying in the lobby... Overall nice resort with great views of the pools and lake, if you get a lake view room, but the room decor is a bit outdated and a little ehh for what they should be and what the hotel is overall. The rooms do have some nice tech options. It just leaves something extra to be wanting.
I loved it, I played volleyball all day with the other people down at the pool and lazy river plus the staff are super nice. I would suggest going if you just want to have a day of relaxation and having a pretty fun time as well. I met so many people while I hung out there and the restaurants are nice as well. If I could rate it 10/10 I would and I'll definitely go back in the future. :)
My stay was entirely paid for by my wife's work, so I would not be able do offer a value judgment. The pool was the most amazing pool I have ever seen. The rooms were very nice and the staff was very friendly. If I could afford it, I would stay again.
Great atmosphere and best pool. Good for family vacation.
Last Sunday (8/18) I had an issue at the pool restaurant. My wife and I ordered beer but the beer was not cold. The waiter was very uninterested on giving good service, so my wife ended up returning hers. The check came in and we were charged for the beer. We then had to tell the waiter to remove the beer because we did not drink it. He seemed annoyed about it. At that point, we felt like we were in a cafeteria and not in the JW Marriott. Then, the check came in with an 18% tip included. I asked him to remove the tip because I wanted to leave the tip according to the service and experience. He got upset, we had to call the manager, and he threatened me. He said I will remember you , not in a good tone.
If JW Marriott will put an 18% tip charge on every sale, the service and quality must be nothing less than excellent. The waiter should make an effort to please the customer. It seemed that the waiter felt entitled to the tip regardless of the service.
I hope this is an isolated incident because in general, we had a very good experience in the hotel. That is why I am only taking one star away. Breakfast, room, pool and the staff were amazing.
The hotel and grounds are gorgeous. The brasserie restaurant was very good as well, if a little expensive. I ended up misplacing an item, however, and was given what can only be described as "the run-around" by hotel staff over it. No one was rude or unprofessional, but no one seemed particularly interested in solving my problem either.
Firstly, I would like to say Johnathan from engineering/maintenance was amazing and a complete wonderful help, we lost a dress from the balcony he was very kind and quickly retrieved it for us. The rest of are visit was great and highly recommend
Most definitely the best hotel we ve ever stayed at. From now on when we take our trips down to Orlando this will be our only hotel.... employees are amazingly nice, maids are wonderful at there job. We had an issue of not knowing we had to pay for parking, an the guy who helped us took it right off of our bill since they didn t tell us in advance. They know how to make their guest happy! The lazy river was my favorite part of the resort. Aside from seeing all of the turtles an fish into the river, also seen baby gotars! Can t wait to come back in February
I feel like royalty here, seriously. The room is spectacular, the lazy river I could just float on for weeks if they would let me. I don't ever want to go home. This place is worth every penny. Everyone is well trained to over accomodate with a smile. Thank you for an amazing weekend!
The lazy river is one of the best I've seen at a hotel. Pool-side drink and food service was excellent as well.
I came here last year for a week long conference. Great hotel environment, and great outdoor space. I truly loved the lazy river, I was on it for hours, however I didn't like that the pool would close so early, I think it was 9pm? Also, I remember I would be starving after 9pm (since I am from the west coast the hour difference really killed me) because they wouldn't have any places open that would offer food within the resort, the main bar offered few options but everything was overpriced. It was hard to get out of the huge resort and find places to eat, so the best thing we came up with was getting pizza delivered to the hotel!
Also, the rooms were great, however they have this rule that didn't make sense that they couldn't add a roll in bed to a two queen bed because there is no room for it, and that they could only add one to a 1 king bed. it was outrageous, because I went and looked at the two queen room and it was huge enough to fit two roll in beds, and the King we got barely had any room for one, it was completely outrages and we went back and forth so much that it took us over 1.5hrs to finally get into a room and relax after our long flight.
Absolutely beautiful! Loved the friendly and helpful employees! Our room and accomadations were beyond amazing! Nice gym, spa, and cute little game room! Tons of activities !
This is the absolute biggest hotel I've ever been in! But it was also the most quiet. I never heard noise from other rooms or the hallway. There were great places for food & drink right there for nights I didn't want to hit the town. I attended a conference in the hotel & the rooms were always cool, the catering was great, and the flow & separation from another conference at the same time was well thought out.
Came for a youth conference and I got to say, it was very beautiful! The view of the pool was breath taking. The whole hotel in general was amazing and pretty big! Love the way it looks inside!
Great and comfortable place. The Kitchen restuarant has relaaxed atmosphere, well prepared meals at reasonable prices; shrimp and grits very tasty!
Not ready to take on guests during Covid. The entire hotel was under staffed. Requests for toiletries from the front desk went nowhere. Staffing at the pool area was inadequate and the rooms overall were sub par
Beautiful property, comfy rooms and beds. Felt like my home away from home.
Absolutely beautiful hotel with an enormous pool and lazy river! Definitely something worth experiencing.
Very nice pool. We had a great time here at this nice hotel.
Beautiful hotel and really nice pool and lazy river.
Terrible you can not get a beverage other then water after 8:00pm . No working machines and no room service. Is it that much to ask for soda ?
The JWM was an all inclusive resort with the best of amenities and close proximity to all the theme parks. Would definitely visit again.
I enjoyed my stay this past weekend. Staff were friendly and helpful. I'll be visiting again in the future.
Disappointing. Too expensive for such poor service.
Don t bother. This hotel is not welcoming at all! Customer service is not good...from front desk to restaurants to conference personnel to maintenance. I experienced awful rude service from each of these groups that I encountered during my stay. And housekeeping blocked the hallway on more than one occasion....I had to push cart out of the way to walk past as the housekeeper stared. There is no consistency in housekeeping service...one night I had no bath mat...next I had no shampoo....how do you leave lotion, body wash, conditioner..but no shampoo? Called for shampoo and finally gave up after an hour. Rooms are hot and AC allows you to change thermostat, but the room will not cool to the temp set. It stays at 72 even after engineering fixes it. I would avoid this hotel and will not personally return if in the area again.
JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes is a beautiful resort property! Check-in was friendly and efficient and conference meeting rooms are comfortable. After experiencing catering in the form of 2 receptions, a lunch, and breakfast so far, I can confidently say it is impressive and creative. I loved having the choice of enjoying breakfast either inside or out! After spending a couple of days in sessions, it was nice getting a chance to enjoy Florida weather outside. The JW Marriott is connected to another resort, the Ritz-Carlton, so it's like getting two resorts in one. This affords a lot of options for dining. In both cases so far, we've opted for dining choices at the Ritz. The first day we enjoyed Highball and Harvest for lunch, and the next day we got to experience Norman's. Despite the somewhat forgettable name (Norman is the chef and founder), the food and service is memorable. My pink tequila shrimp ceviche was made tableside, and my filet mignon was one of the best I've ever had. The rooms at the Marriott are nice and clean, and the bedding is comfortable. All-in-all, the only downside is that I didn't get a room with a patio. Maybe next time.
Excellent hotel, easily accessible and with extraordinary resort features. This hotel is very luxurious and is highly recommended.
We stayed here with the family for New Years last year. They have a huge pool area with lazy river for everyone. The fireworks provided by the hotel for New Years were better than I expected. They had these big play rooms for kids and adults, but mostly for kids so you can leave them there with not having to worry. We didn't try the buffet, but I'm sure it was excellent like every JW.
Always a great resort! The lazy river and restaurants are top notch. Look no further when staying in the Orlando area.
Great Hotel. Please add more choices to the "Kitchen" menu.
Beautiful property. The pool area is very nice, the walkways have good views in the daytime and at night. The room itself is nice, but I was not thoroughly impressed for the price. There was a giant HD TV on the wall; the rest of the features were standard. Also, I was not thrilled with having to pay $20 a day for Internet after paying a king's ransom for the room itself. Solid option for conferences, otherwise I'd search for better value.
Went to grab a quick breakfast, came back at 930am and someone was cleaning mh room already/assumed I had checked out..... I opted for no cleaning during my stay so no idea why someone would even knock prior to 11. So much for a relaxing last morning.
Otherwise a comfortable stay.
Valet named Andrew lost key to my vehicle and then called a guy to replace the keys with a cheap non original key. When i told that is not my key he got aggressive and offensive. A place like this you expect better customer service!
My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend to celebrate our Babymoon (I was 3 months pregnant at the time). We had so much fun! The various food options were all fantastic, we especially loved the nachos at the pool bar. We spent lots of time in the lazy river and also used the shuttle to go to Epcot. We felt like we were at an all-inclusive resort! It was delightful!
