JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes is a beautiful resort property! Check-in was friendly and efficient and conference meeting rooms are comfortable. After experiencing catering in the form of 2 receptions, a lunch, and breakfast so far, I can confidently say it is impressive and creative. I loved having the choice of enjoying breakfast either inside or out! After spending a couple of days in sessions, it was nice getting a chance to enjoy Florida weather outside. The JW Marriott is connected to another resort, the Ritz-Carlton, so it's like getting two resorts in one. This affords a lot of options for dining. In both cases so far, we've opted for dining choices at the Ritz. The first day we enjoyed Highball and Harvest for lunch, and the next day we got to experience Norman's. Despite the somewhat forgettable name (Norman is the chef and founder), the food and service is memorable. My pink tequila shrimp ceviche was made tableside, and my filet mignon was one of the best I've ever had. The rooms at the Marriott are nice and clean, and the bedding is comfortable. All-in-all, the only downside is that I didn't get a room with a patio. Maybe next time.
