We really enjoyed our weekend. We ate at the Rockwell and Mikado restaurants and both were excellent. Staff around the hotel was helpful. Pool was nice with plenty of chairs available. I would definitely stay here again.

We love coming here to get away from the bustle of LA! Great rates for military folks! The pools are clean and the perfect temperature. We didnt golf this time, but twilight rates are super. Food is good but try the JW Sushi roll! You won t be let down! Also, they just renovated many rooms, so you ll be impressed with the fresh look of them!

In this amazing resort, my now fiance asked me to be his girlfriend almost 4 years ago, and because this place is so special to us, it is the same place he asked me to marry him. The resort was in on the amazing proposal, I love it! Thank you!

Nice hotel with friendly staff. However, for some reason we had a bunch of these green flying bugs in our room. They put some effort into resolving the problem but it was still an issue for the entire stay.

February 6, 2019. A few days ago, I received a letter from Mariott s claims department stating that my claim had been denied. I never made a claim. To add insult to injury, the writer said that there was no proof that I was even on the JW Marriott property. Basically calling me a liar! I do have proof of us eating at Fisherman s Landing that night. So, we were there. Absolutely disgusted with their poor handling of this situation. January 22, 2019. The hotel finally reached out to me. Since my fall, they have put reflective paint/tape on all the cement stoppers in their parking lot. Hopefully that will prevent future falls. On December 20, 2018, we were walking through the parking lot of the JW Marriott in Palm Desert. The sidewalks are very poorly lit. We were walking back to our car and I stepped into an empty parking spot and tripped on the cement stopper that they have in front of all the parking spots. One couple behind us were using a flashlight because of the bad lighting. A man helped my husband get me up and we went back to the Marriott Villas II where we were staying. I cut my knee, my hand and badly bruised my other knee. I am on blood thinners so it took quite a while to stop the bleeding. An employee of the golf shop suggested I let security know what happened so they could prevent further accidents. I did so. On December 24th. I got a call from their claims department from a very aggressive man. He basically said he didn't believe me and that I had no proof. I made it clear I was not looking to sue the JW Marriott, but was merely worried about public safety. I hung up on him. I contacted the assistant front office manager at the Villas II, who has tried to help, regarding the situation. He has contacted the managers at the JW Marriott at least 2 - 3 times about my fall and no one has bothered to call me. I guess since I am not suing, they are not interested in correcting the problem for public safety. Putting reflective tape or paint on the top of the cement stoppers would make them very visible to the public. Apparently, the JW Marriott doesn't care. We have gone there 2 years in a row. We won't go back.

The hotel was great, the staff was great. However, the golf pro shop are very rude. I stayed 4 nights, w 3 rms. Golf was 280.00
People not staying here were paying 100.00 for 2 people. I didnt not use golf now, i understand that. I said thank you i get ur point. He continued, to put me down, tell me he shot a -3. Just, ego, rude, inconsiderate guy. I never asked him what he shot, and still confused on the irrelevant point of his score. Always, do golf now, and just rem this guy, and dont let him upset u

Awesome, only criticisms is that it was very hard to find our room. The builds are not named or number from the outside and the map didn't help. There was also not very many elevators so you had to cross the whole hotel to get out. Otherwise a wonderful experience.

I stay at JW Marriott all over and never have any issues. I would have a few recommendations for this hotel due to all of my issues this stay. ... but frustrations and repeat mishaps really ruin a weekend getaway. checked in and went to my room which was at the very end of the hotel (really far away from front desk). House keeping walked right in without notice 4 min after being there. The following morning I wake up to take a nice hot bath to find no hot water. I call and get put on hold so I walk all the way down to front desk and they stated they would send someone up within 20 min so I hustled back as it is a long walk. After 40 min no one shower so I called they said someone would be right up... after 40 more min I just got ready and left and went to front desk and told them we were gonna start our day now late and they said it would be handled by the time we were back. Get back 6 hrs later still not fixed. Walk back down to front desk and she was so nice she called and also couldn't get a resolution and apparently maintenance told her it was as hot as it would go which was pool water hot... so she decided to upgrade me which was great but it was all the other way on the other side of the opposite end of the hotel. So after packing up and making our way to the other end we decide to go out. So I call to have the couch turned into A bed and asked for 3 more pillows and 2 blankets. They said someone would take care of it so we left. Came back at 1:20am (4 hrs later to find one pillow on sofa couch and one small blanket.). I call again and explain I've already called and the front desk person said someone would be there asap most likely 20 min... because they have a few things in front of us. well by 2:20 I am woken up to them delivering the pillow and blanket.. then I wake up at 5:30 to take a bath to find Luke warm water in the bath.... my frustration was over by this point. my suggestion is that you get your teams in sinc since I went there and spent a lot of money at bars, hotel spa, restaurant just to have the jw experience and relax and what I got was a desire to go home at 6:30 am and not ever get to Truly relax. And out of the 8 reps I dealt with at the hotel only one attempted to take ownership and resolve the issue. So in closing I feel like this should be a 5 star establishment. *** updating review moving it to one star based on the fact that "Ester" from front end team called me and said for all intense and purposes you never checked into the hotel, even though I was the only one that did. Calling me a liar to my face does nothing for your brand. I will now be moving my business and all of my employees to other brands. It's sad that one hotel can ruin it for the whole brand. If you have a chance to stay at holiday Inn I would recommend it. You would get better service.

Even though covid had most everything shut down it was still an amazing fun experience like it has been every year since I was born I just wish this Marriott would become dog friendly so we could've had the entire family with us otherwise it was lovely

Place looks fabulous especially decorated for Christmas. Came with two teenage girls who enjoyed the pools immensely. The room was roomy and in great shape and there was ample parking. Took off a star since someone messed up my remote check-in and instead of getting my room at noon as promised in the chat I waited several hours. Not used to that kind of treatment as Platinim Elite and still don't understand why I need to pay a resort tax the includes things I get for free.

The room was great. Grounds were beautiful. Our room wasn't ready till much later than expected. Order food while we waited and put on our Marriott credit card since they wouldn't keep tab on just my last name, therefore we couldn't use the resort credit to pay for that food. Then we had a late check-out and the parking arm wouldn't go up and there was a line behind me. No call button or anything. Had to pay $50 and they would refund me. Called to ask for rest of credit. Said no. Also we have stayed at other hotels during mandemic. All followed rules. This hotel and lazy river were packed!!! It wasn't even safe for a summer of 2019.

Beautiful property on top of a lush golf course with multiple pools, hot tubs, and good restaurants and bars. We opted for one of the older rooms because it had a sundeck/balcony, but the new rooms inside the main structure look really nice.

Over all it was fantastic. Very nice atmosphere. The lobby bar was full of energy and the live band made for cosy drinks and long conversations. Mokados was a 10 out of 10. My only complaint was the pool are at the spa. Wear body armor. The first 10 minutes there we had 2 golf balls come flying into the area. A net should be put up.

Beautiful location, excellent staff and great food. They bake all their own bread and pastry. Joshua Tree coffee is good. Several pools, shops and a golf course. Gym is good sized and staffed.
Great place to relax or have an event.

Played golf on the Valley course with my 3 boys on their kids play free promotion. What a great thing for the resort to do. Best Junior golf deal in town. Course was in great 'summer' shape. Folks in the golf shop we're great. Highly recommend.

I was at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa to golf which was a very enjoyable time because we were able to tee off at 5:55 in the morning. The course was in impeccable conditions other than the fact that they just punched the greens however I had a good round along with the rest of my foursome. We then proceeded to grab some food by the pool I had the Marriott Burger which was very delicious they also put aside of avocado Mayo which I've never heard of that was also delicious in addition to the curly fries the buffalo wings the tuna sandwich and the turkey wrap. Neither drinking Coors Light and I enjoyed a nice strawberry like daiquiri the views good from where we were and the conditions of the food area was nice

I recently stayed at JW Marriott Desert Springs and I would HIGHLY recommend you to stay somewhere else! We were moved into 3 different rooms in one day becuase things were filthy and or broken in all of them. In one of the rooms there was the biggest COCKROACH I have ever seen that ran right by all of our feet! And if that for some reason isn t enough for you to look for a different hotel, another room they put us in if you walked in your socks for 1 minute the bottoms would be black from the carpet it was so beyond disgusting and on top of that the shower was completely broken with the biggest hair ball you have ever seen on the nob. Any hotel that thinks this is okay to let thier guests sleep in rooms like these are out of their minds. Do you and your family a favor and stay somewhere else!

Just a short drive from Palm Springs, the JW Marriott Springs Resort & Spa was a great place for lunch. Upon driving in, there were real flamingos in the ponds entrance. For lunch I had the SeaFood salad w Raspberry Vinegrette. Food was delicious, and enjoyed an afternoon w friends over a bottle of Chardonnay. Our server was fast and efficient, and even assisted me with charging my phone w supplied charger) behind the bar while we ate. Thank you for a great Sunday afternoon lunch!

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff was polite, courteous, and very friendly. The room was very nice, the entire hotel was clean and it had a outdoor mini golf course along with a little gondola boat ride inside the lobby. Very unique and I could not have been more impressed. Highly Recommended.
