JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa Reviews

Visit every year sometimes twice a year. Great rooms, amenities, pools, and activities.

This is what you call a 5 star, all the staff was awesome and everything was like a dream here. You can play Golf or Tennis all day long and let me not forget, awesome bar too, check out the pool very nice. I highly recommend this place.

You must come and stay here I promise you that you would love it just like me.

Looks nice but not really kept up well. All staff are very friendly and professional, though. Very expensive with not many options if you don't have a car.

We enjoyed seeing the exotic birds in the lobby and getting Starbucks treats.

We had an amazing experience at this Hotel. It was spotless, and staff was over the top helpful. Aside from a bit late Maid service, a few days. The Fisherman restaurant was very disappointing. Would not recommend it at all. Overall it was an excellent experience. Will be back for sure.

Great room and good restaurants! Had hibachi and it was delicious! The grounds were very well maintained and I enjoyed walking around and staring at the Koi pond - the fish were enormous!

Golfed the valley course over the weekend the condition was excellent and staff awesome!!

Amazing resort, the hotel is very modern and nice with several restaurants, golf courses, and boat rides around the resort. Very kid friendly with large pools and activities. If your staying in the villas, the rooms are huge with spectacular views. Over all an amazing resort!

The hotel is gorgeous. When I first came in, valet offered to park my car and take my luggage. The hotel offers several restaurants and bars. The pools have cabana rentals, and there is an amazing gondola that will take you around the resort. The rooms are spacious and have balconies. Another whole post could be written about the golfing!

It has many amenities. Although we didn't stay, we will consider this location in the future

Great customer service throughout our stay, from check-in thru all other interactions with staff. Hallways are a bit dated, but rooms are comfortable and clean. Elevator on the northwest side side of the property turns into a furnace in the afternoon with glass walls and the sun beating directly down on it.

I go from time to time. Been there since I was a kid. Ive never stayed a night but the lobbies beautiful and there's things to do even if you don't pay money. I really want to work for a big hotel but seeing that I dont have experience and no one wants to help me out. It's very hard. I think this place is fun to hang out in and I'm sure it's beautiful to stay the night in.

Awesomely huge lobby with multiple food and drink options. Love the large pool and abundance of pool chairs.

Very nice appearance, but poorly designed. There are elevators in the lobby area, but VERY long hallways to the rooms. Be prepared to do a LOT of walking!!

Pool water was ice cold, told a few employees and no one seemed to care.

I have nothing to say about the hotel as I was only there to pickup and drop off a rental from Hertz. I can say there needs to be a better way of getting in and out of the parking lot other the a gate with no attendant, speaker or sign about how to drive in. You need a 4 digit code.

Lovely building and grounds. But the rooms are very tired and out dated. Expensive place. The flamingos and parrots are a nice touch.

The Hotel was mostly was above average. They don't run a very tight ship, however. For instance, Restaurant Fisherman's Landing, when I called, the girl curtly told me I had to talk to someone else about the menu, she put the phone down-not on hold, a lot of giggling, and I waited and waited for 4 to 5 minutes. Was about ready to hang up when girl answered. Did not know the menu and was disinterested about my complaint of waiting so long. I called back and cancelled so I cannot comment on the food. Attitude dissuaded me from eating there

Doing the best they can in a COVID world. Rooms are updated, but still lack a finishing touch (old doors, old blinds). Otherwise solid resort.

Loved our stay here!! Beautiful, clean, spacious rooms, many activities and helpful staff. Our only complaint was the painfully long walk from the parking to our room.

Great hotel. Lobby is sprawling and beautiful. Friendly front desk and concierge staff. Great valets, too. Grounds are perfectly manicured. If you're a fan of Marriott properties, you can't go wrong with this one. Great location for Palm Desert.

One of my favorite hotels. Multiple restaurants and bars, spacious rooms, and an incredibly nice staff. All at a great room rate. I've been coming to this resort for over 10 years, and I don't plan to stop anytime soon.

Faucet leak in bathroom the whole time toilet paper holder fell off every time you use toilet paper and the shower overfilled every time you were in it and you stood in your own water. Also interior rooms very dated maybe 1980s or 90s. Otherwise the view is beautiful the grounds are beautiful you just had to walk so far to get anywhere you almost wanted a tram

Honestly our group got confused on the room locations, as ours were not part of the main building. But otherwise the place was amazing and beautiful.

The grounds of this resort are absolutely immaculate. The design and architecture is unique and pleasing to the eye, with fountains and ponds throughout There is a huge open atrium in the center of the building through the main entrance, with huge windows that provide an open view to the golf course and pools beyond. There is also a nifty little gondola that can transport you to some of the restaurant locations on the property. The staff tends to be a little bit on the lacking side, and I really did not enjoy my experience at the lobby bar too much. The bartender interfered in a conversation I was having, to talk about himself, and was generally a disruptive presence which I did not appreciate. Other than that, my stay was really enjoyable, the room was clean and comfortable. I found the amenities to be a great value, particularly in the offseason when the hotel is virtually empty.

Nice, was like it's own economic system. Pricy but worth it nice atmosphere.

Resort was beautiful! Conferences were all taken care of. Food was excellent. The room could have been a bit cleaner and nicer, it had some age to it.

Love the resort layout. Multiple pools. Easy access to beautiful golf course attached to the resort. Nice shopping and restaurants on site.

Take a fun boat ride around the man-made lake to view black swans and more.

Went for golf, which was good, stayed for a beer in the bar. Small beer selection but good coverage of the usual items.

Event went smoothly all the workers were professional and helpful when asked a question.

A bit dated now the executive suites need work I would like to see them remodeled before returning next year. The suites are pricey and not very nice looking the decor is dated. Cleanliness is good as well as the service.

A sumptuous experience! The property is meticulously well maintained. The staff is extremely warm and make you feel like a VIP. The food is exquisite, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The location is 20 minutes from Palm springs airport. The overall experience has been tremendous.
The staff have gone out of their way to accommodate our work related requests. I cannot say enough good things about this location.

Terrible service employees are very rude and unprofessional. No customer service skills. The workers and security discriminated against us and got bullied and asked to leave the hotel because we were supposedly loud. On New years ever December 31st. Unbelieveable, terrible people. We were 4 familes and 4 hotel rooms. The security and staff were very rude to our kids at the ages of 8 , 14 and 15 year olds. We will never stay at a Marriot and will be seeking legal advice.

It s one of if not the best Jw Marriott I ve stayed at. I am a golfer, so take that into consideration. Everything is on site. Perfect for families, bachelor party, wedding, anything. Caroline and Tiara, the only names I can remember, were great. Everyone else the same thing. Doug, Willy, and Tim at the golf course were so great. The secret is out but this place is awesome expensive, but worth it. I played with a couple that was staying at the Ritz paying over $600 a night, which is also under Marriott umbrella, and they said it s not even a comparison. They eat, play golf, and used the spa here during their whole trip. If you want to save $, just come in summer. But the Christmas experience was memorable and worth every cent. If you prefer to cook and not pay to be where all the restaurants are, look at the fairway Villas. Whole property is just great and every employee was very hospitable

A large resort hotel, very comfortable.
There is a golf course where you can spend a few days on vacation.
The bar in the lobby is also great, in the middle of the hotel, you can enjoy the joy of the holiday.

If you have another chance, be sure to come again.

Stayed 2 nights at the Marriott for a company event. The place is huge with a golf course, lake, shopping centers and restaurants all conveniently in one location. The landscape is elegant and picturesque from the balcony viewing sun setting above the lake gleaming shades of orange and pink across the sky. Service is exceptional as well with staff well trained, effective and competent to address inquiries during our time here. I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for more, an experience, and not only just a place so you could when the night.

It gives you a feeling of home. The people are friendly their and they are good by clean up your room. Every year the CHURCH OF GOD IN CHRIST HOLD OUR WOMEN'S CONVENTION THERE. WE HAVE SUCH A BEAUTIFUL TIME AND THEY SUPPLY US IF WE WANT TO BUY A MIDNIGHT SNACK TO TAKE BACK TO THE ROOM. WE HAVE A PLACE IN THE JW MARRIOTT THAT HAS FOOD FOR US TO BUY. WE FELT SPECIAL THIS YEAR THEY HAD ACCOMMODATED US WITH GOSPEL MUSIC PLAYING THROUGH OUT THE RESTROOM AND HALL WAY IT WAS JUST WONDERFUL

This place was extraordinary! It s huge and beautiful! It s very unique with so many incredible birds and animals to look at and love. Rooms were clean, one smelled just a bit, but the pools were - those who work by the pool (servers, guards, etc) were extremely friendly and welcoming. I would most definitely do stay there again given the opportunity!

Really great resort with a lot to do...gym, spa, swim, water taxi, mini-golf, flamingos ... only downfall sometimes the staff is sketchy
