Conference rooms were large and well designed. Food was terrific. Very helpful staff.
Everything was nice, but the bathroom in the room is small
Only stayed one night but was very happy with the venue, service and amenities. Jose in the M Club is friendly and welcoming.
The hotel's proximity to downtown and the riverfront makes it very convenient. My room also had a great view of the mountain.
For the conference facility it suited the needs but it's no surprise that parking can be difficult in downtown Portland
The bad: Said the room had a view of the river and didn't, wasn't offered free wifi and didnt even have coffee in our room. The good: the room was really nice, the vallet staff was really friendly and helpful, the room was very clean, quiet and did have a decent view of the new construction across the street as well as some of the city. Close to a few restaurants that offered take out that you can walk to with ease. Over all: great stay but could have used a little more hospitality for the price.
Fantastic Portland Location!
I have stayed at this location numerous times for work and there is a good reason for my returning to this property again and again. The staff is warm a gracious and the location is easy to get anywhere in the Portland area quickly and not having to hassle with traffic. All of the top restaurants are within walking distance and the concierge can get a table anywhere. From time to time there are events in the waterfront park next to the hotel so if you need a good nights sleep ask for a room with a view of the city and not the water. Otherwise ALWAYS book a room with a view of the Willamette River! It is worth it! Club level is worth the investment on the week nights otherwise just head to one of the local tap rooms for happy hour. The McCormick's that is walking distance never disappoints for dinner.
What a wonderful hotel! I mentioned in passing that we were celebrating a birthday, and when we came back from dinner there was a bottle of champagne waiting for us! What a nice surprise.
Good customer service. Central location. Comfortable room. No complaints.
Didn't stay here but attended a conference here. The staff was very attentive, and the food that they served at the luncheons was very good. also the snacks including the cookies during breaks were up high quality. I would recommend organizations that are considering this hotel for conventions or meetings, to seriously give them a look. They do a good job.
Room and service was great. Ordered room service and it was delivered promptly and was correct and very good, they even included Tabasco without my asking. The hotel was very clean. I was able to park for less than half the price at the crown plaza and use the sky bridges to get to the hotel.
Went to a seminar there valet parking was very good the seminar was good life is good
Very nice view of the cith and view of the river in Portland. Would definitely come back for social events.
Personable and friendly staff, modern rooms with flats screen TV and steaming apps, restaurant with quality food and service. Great hotel!
We had a waterfront room. Very clean, tidy and comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly. From check in to the restaurant everyone was really nice and helpful.
We were thete for a business meeting, but found all staff to be helpful and pleasant. The conference rooms were spacious and quiet. We were pleased with our experience at this Marriott.
I was a guest during a business trip and had a great stay. The staff was very helpful and the rooms clean. I recommend checking out the extensive (but very over priced) whiskey list at restaurant next to the lobby.
Plush spacious modern architecture at heart of Portland downtown facing water. Spacious room. Courteous hotel staff. Positive relaxing experience. Thank you.
Great location right off the waterfront. Service is great and the front desk is very helpful.
We did not get to enjoy the full experience of this hotel. Due to a medical emergency we had to leave the hotel 5 hours into our stay and got very little use out of a very expensive room (Executive Suite for our anniversary.)
After going away frustrated that we would not be able to enjoy the room we have now been pleasantly surprised. My wife was informed that the room will be made available to us this weekend with all the perks plus some. The room is wonderful but nothing beats the Great customer service!
The location was good and the room was clean but the restroom in the hotel room was not sound proof at all. There was no fan I could use and the door was almost transparent with a gap that can be see through from outside. I definitely won't stay there again.
Very accommodating and friendly. Found snacks for my kids after a long day.
Excellent location and service! Staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Great downtown location. Loved staying here and will be back again.
Conference accomodations are good for a small conference.
Newly renovated clean room that is tastefully decorated. Very comfortable King size bed. Large TV with HD channels including HBO. Friendly and professional staff. Good food in the bistro. Overall pleasant stay.
Lil expensive, but so good. Worth the extra money. Wish they had better Porter or stout options. This is Portland after all. King of micro brews...
Best hotel in town. Loved the breakfast buffets. Great staff.
Very polite very nice people who work there very clean very upscale good food good drink it's a place to stay if you coming to Portland
We had a great stay at the waterfront Marriott. Our view from the room was gorgeous & the staff were friendly. It was just a quick, one night trip but we enjoyed it!
Hotel is conveniently located to bus lines and quick-service restaurants. Front desk staff have been friendly, efficient and quick to sneer questions to a PDX newbie. Room is well sized with comfortable bed, good-sized flatscreen TV, and a sitter with good heat and pressure. Outside can be a bit noisy with vehicle and boat traffic, but it quiet down after hours.
Highly disappointed! Paid almost 300$ for a room no free breakfast and its 42$ to park your car. Stayed in a best western for 89$ and got more. Shame on this place! Huge rip off!
Great view of the river and pleasant hot cocoa waiting at the front desk when you come back from the cold weather!
The beds were so comfortable. It's modern and beautiful.
Great lace to stay when visiting Portland. Close to many restaurants and areas. The waterfront is also beautiful.
Was attending a conference. Nice amenities and close to the river but some of the conference rooms were pretty bizarrely configured. Also most of the space is below ground so you feel a little bit submerged below ground. No natural light down there of course.
The banquet hall is spacious and well lit with ample acoustics for a large group
We will definitely be back probably again and again! Wonderful hotel.
Very nice room with a view. We were giving a free beer tasting at check in. Very impressed
I normally try to stay in Marriott's whenever I travel for work and usually really enjoy my stay. This particular time, I tried to change my arrival date online to be one day later and for some reason, be it my error or a technical issue, the change never appreared in their system. When I did show up, my reservation bad been cancelled and I was charged a cancellation fee. I asked to still be booked in for my stay and was accommodated. The cancellation fee would seem reasonable to me if I had simply not showed up, but I figured when I explained the situation, all would be clarified and the fee would be waived. It was not - I was told I needed to call Marriott as there was nothing the hotel could do and that the cancellatoon policy was strict. When I called Marriott, I was referr d back to the manager of this location as there was nothing the call center could do. When I spoke to the manager, I was told I'd have to talk to accounting because there was nothing she could do (she did offer me lounge access which I let them know held no value for me). I thanked her and am now waiting to hear from accounting. It seems illogical to me that Marriott would throw thousands (if not tens of thousands) of dollars a year in future revenues to recoup a cancellation fee for a guest that didn't actually cancel. The Marriott mission is to enhance the lives of their customers, but this experience has been quite the opposite and is making me consider switching to Hilton for any future travel.
I'm sorry but your rooms are nice but custom service and information about room rates suck. I seen $129.00 rate a day, get my bill any second day is $209.00 if I would've been informed about this I would've never stayed that second night. Upon arrival I called ahead and ordered extra towels for the kids! You think they where there? No they were not. Also thought I was reserving a room with 2 beds because we have children I'm giving a king! Ok no problem with that, so I call the front desk and inform them that I need a roll out bed since we needed another bed. You think it was in my room upon retuning? No it was not.
I call the front desk this morning and speak with a lead Dan Bono and he kept making me repeat myself over and over and over and he still kept getting the information wrong. Then gets an attitude when I asked for his name, like I'm wrong for something. At this point i will not be staying at this location again.
Awesome view, wonderful customer service and the best location to everything Portland!
The location and rooms are great. Elevators are a bit slow.
The place was nice, the staff was helpful and the building smelled nice. Would be a great venue for conventions.
Ballroom event for more than 1000 people - Food/snacks was very good, tasty and simple variety of hot and cold snacks for both American and non- American palettes. Banquet chefs and staff friendly. Four stars as not enough chairs/seating in the ballroom and limited parking at the hotel. Convenient location.
The Marriott was great. The lobby was clean and inviting. Finding the event was easy.
The Marriott is a very nice hotel. The building is clean and well maintained. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The hotel is located close to down town, it's about a 15-20 minute walk to the heart of downtown Portland. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to friends.
The layout of their conference rooms in Halls is a little bit weird. The breakfast burrito and they're Cafe on the main floor is delicious and much larger than expected.
I was lost in trying to get directions to a nearby location and the staff there were very friendly and helpful.
The location is perfect, I was around lots of things to do, I was in downtown Portland. Quick walk to the beautiful waterfront park. Rooms were nice, hotel was nice. I just wish we came a different time the hotel was very busy between the doggy dash event and a large Indian wedding. Other then that great hotel and great service
The employees were very nice. The decor was beautiful. I had a wonderful time.
Fantastic customer service. Great views. Most comfortable bed I've ever slept in.
Rooms are very nice but they lost one of our reservations. Which was at a special price for a conference and they would not give it to us again.
Very attentive staff. They bought me a beer while they finished the room. Bed was a little hard but they brought in a topper. Great view up level worth it and staff very nice
great staff! Airline I was on missed loading my luggage and the Marriott staff made it as least stressful as possible by providing needed toiletries and ideas on where to go to get clothes and other items. BRAVO!
We just swung through for a quick drink. Very nice! I've have stayed at this hotel before. I recommend it!
Great hotel amenities. Walking distance to a few places but limited.
Very nice location, along with the outstanding staff, recommend a stay here
Went for a conference. Did not stay in the rooms. The conference was good. The meeting rooms were very clean and a good amount of space for the many attendees. The choices of snacks were ok - lots of pastries and croissants, but also yogurt and fruit. Coffee and juice and water available also. Clean and well kept bathrooms. Would definitely recommend as a conference venue.
Nice place, good help, clean rooms, $40 for parking sucks
Comfortable and not expensive. rooms are clean and cozy.
Convenient to waterfront. Rooms were recently refreshed; more modern styling, now. Great for viewing fireworks ,
Well. Call after call, from local numbers, used to deceive me, offering me Marriott rewards. Dying of cancer. Do not call registry. I would rather spend these minutes with my family. Don't sell my info. Marriott says, "Nothing we can do."
Staff was very polite and helpful. Accommodations were excellent
Very-very nice place (carpet @entry door a little dirty/used but very polite and friendly staff,,i diffenatly would recommend
Decent hotel. Price is slightly out of line with service. Wifi pricing vs coverage&bandwith is rediculous.
The staff is wonderful and helpful. Great location by the river, shops and restraunts. Rooms are spacious with all the amenities you need. Highly recommend.
I love this hotel really good service and the beds are really comfortable The View was amazing we weren't at 11 to floor and we were in front of the bridge. The room that we had was really modern which is how I like it the housekeeper where excellent they were Hispanic and they were very wonderful I hope they can get a raise.
View of the river, nice rooms, and ample convention meeting space. Rooms are modern with rustic accents. Plenty of space, desk area for working. Utilized in room dining and it was excellent. My only complaint is the multitude of elevators are extremely slow during a conference that they are almost unusable and complex system of stairs and escalators may be difficult to manage for some. I would stay here again.
Very good location. Nice amenities. Not for people who want a quiet stay though. It seems like it's popular for conferences so you may encounter large groups hanging out all over the lobby.
Legend in the PDX played there...bring the house down yo!
Room was clean but small. Comfortable beds, quality linens.
Well appointed with great service and fantastic location. Breakfast is alittle spendy for the great resturants near by.
Great staff. Super friendly. Good new facilities. Nice updated tech in the rooms. Only negative is that the bathroom door is barn door style which means no complete privacy. Nice area on the river and park. Would stay here again.
Pretty nice hotel. Valet parking only and in downtown. Close to food, shopping and convenience stores.
Room was nice. My issues were the ice machine did not work on the floor and the shower bottles (no small bottles, large attached in shower bottles) were not full. The body wash was completely empty.
WiFi worked well.
The staff has been super friendly and accommodating. The rooms are beautiful and very clean as is the rest of the hotel. While the staff of the restaurant downstairs was very friendly, the food left a lot to be desired. The $42 per night parking fee is the only other ding I'd give this hotel. I know it's downtown, etc one could park in the lot right behind the hotel for $19 per day. But still an enjoyable stay!
The valet staff is super friendly and reliable. I love these guys. Trent is the best valet I've ever had the pleasure of being served by
The food was phenomenal! I came for a conference and was so surprised by how delicious and healthy and diverse the food was. Best conference food I've ever had.
Amazing place to stay. Clean and professional. I loved my room and the location.
I attended the WPA. The air conditioning was good, rooms where speakers spoke we're clean. The staff was very nice and the food served was delicious!
Great accommodations, excellent service, awesome dining. Highly recommend.
Nice clean place, stayed on the top floor, second night the roof started leaking; the staff promptly moved me to a new room.
The restaurant was a good place to have lunch. The food was excellent but the service was OK.
