While this resort should get 5 stars for its beauty and location, service seems a bit "iffy" for this Marriott. Waiter unattentive at dinner, valet mistakes, front desk confusion add up to a less than perfect experience.

I would have given this a five star but they made one of the pools private, meaning a pay pool in that you join a club to use it. Another way to re market part of the facility for additional money, like the resort fees that provided marginal amenities

The hotel was nice. One of the things I enjoyed the most was the TV in the room had an easy access HDMI. The bar was probably the only minor detraction. It was not clear when there are only bartenders and when there are servers who will come get your order. The amenities at the hotel were very nice. Unfortunately it was too hot to enjoy much of the outdoor attractions.

The hotel is kid friendly, the pools are wonderful and the staff is very courteous. The rooms are nice and you are unable to hear surrounding noise, while in your room. The beds and pillows are very comfortable and the location is right off the freeway making access easy. Room service menu could have more options and not be so pricey. Having to pay 15 dollars for Internet daily is outrageous.

A few months ago I was looking for a nice hotel with a good pool for a staycation. I looked into the top locations around Phoenix and checked everything from reviews, to prices, to the dreadful hidden resort fees. We all know about those! I was pleased to see that the JW had the best price. Not only was there resort fee at least $15 dollars cheaper but their overall price best out all of the competitors. I booked 2 weekday nights and was so happy I did! Not only did we get an incredible view but we also got upgraded to some really nice cabana seats for free! We enjoyed every second we could going from pool, to the lazy river, to the water slide. It was awesome. When inquiring about late checkout so we could continue using the amenities, I used the easy and convenient app in which they said no problem- complimentary 1 pm check out! Score!!!! That meant another 80 times down the water slide. ;) I was so pleased with everything from the comfortable beds, amazing service, beautiful grounds that I can't wait to come back in the future! 5 stars for the JW! We will be back!!!

This is a great place to stay for a weekend staycation. We live in Gilbert and love to do a weekend trip here and there during the summer. The JW is one we do every summer. The rooms are nice and service great.

Front desk staff and cleaning staff are friendly and helpful. Lazy river is amazing. Starbucks in the hotel is more expensive than other Starbucks. The room is clean, but a bit outdated for the regular price of this hotel - luckily we had a dicounted room due to a family member working for Marriott. The mattress is a bit firm for my taste, not a huge deal in normal circumstances, but I was pregnant during our stay and the mattress definitely made sleeping more difficult for me.

We are in Arizona visiting, so my cousin decided to take us here for breakfast. The hotel was beautiful, but the service was lacking. The breakfast buffet was closed so we sat to order. Our waitress Connie didnt pay attention to us. When she was going around the 7 person table, she skipped me and my cousins order. We also had to wait a while to get decaf coffee and the shade pulled up. She didnt bring our foods. She just came at the end for the check. It seemed she wasn't there at all. The food was good. The other person that helped us was a busy boy named yuel. He refilled our water and moved our table to cover the sun for us. The wait was a bit long. Also I had the chicken and biscuits. The chicken was fried thin on top of biscuits and gravy.

I went there to deliver some packages. To find the place to drop them off was kind of tough but once I found someone to help he was really friendly and walked me to the receiving area and they also were very kind helpful and patient

This resort is beautiful. The staff was amazing. The service second to none. There is so much to do that you don't have to leave the resort if you don't want to. They have several wonderful restaurants, a Starbucks, a gift shop, an amazing spa, golf, trails, several pools, and so much more. Our suite had amazing views where we could watch the sun rise right from bed.

Just visited to play golf. The Palmer course was is pretty good shape for AZ in July. Fairways were a little patchy in places but nothing major. Fun course. Shot makers type of course. Greens rolled true but slow, cant cut them short this time of year, again AZ in July. Staff was helpful and friendly. I would go back next time in AZ.
