The hotel is beautiful, the location perfect. The rooms are clean and the service impeccable. The employees are very welcoming and smiling. I can't wait to go back soon.

Excellent brunch leaves nothing to be desired, courteous service

Intermezzo bar, always nice after a concert visit. The beef tartare is highly recommended, but also the Asian spring rolls.

The best bar and the best bartenders - here everything is just right!

Good old style hotel with spacious rooms and halls for any kind of meetings and cingress.

Reception:
Greetings: "The passports ..." A more polite greeting would be appropriate.
CheckIn: By a (probably) trainee who was completely overwhelmed. Took forever and felt complicated.
Baggage service none. Drag yourself!

Room No. 213:
Loud: door to the aisle has a light. The water pipe "roars" loudly. Documentation video available.
Cleanliness: dusty. See documentation photo. Worn. Stains in the carpet and on the walls. Partially missing wallpaper.
Bed ok.
Bathroom: very small. Hardly possible to turn around. Mould. See documentation photo. Massive dirty edges. See documentation photo. Sockets dirty. See documentation photo. The water pipe whistles loudly. Documentation video available.

Breakfast:
Cook at the buffet very nice and makes excellent egg dishes.
Coffee ok. But nothing special.
Service: Breakfast plate just pulled away while eating. I was so flabbergasted that I put up with it and got a new plate. It felt like you wanted to get our table ready.

Resume: In my opinion absolutely not a 5 star standard. Rooms are a disaster and completely shabby and neglected. Bathroom as small as a bird house.
Staff, with a few exceptions, seems overwhelmed and not ready to service. Kindness none.

The performance was completely overpriced - I will not stay in this hotel again - I cannot recommend it at all.

PS: When I read the many 5 star reviews, I wonder if these profiles have ever stayed at the hotel.

Dear staff, comfortable beds in nice rooms, good breakfast

Nice hotel with fine bar and cocktails, very good breakfast, in the immediate vicinity of the subway station "Stadtpark".

Room 1043 does not have a bed but a sofa, which is so uncomfortable that it is impossible to sleep.

A very old lady among Viennese hotels but still one with style (at least from the inside)!
Room service and restaurant were really good and the staff was very friendly. It is perfectly located for sightseeing but maybe a bit too expensive.

From the outside not so worth seeing, but the Cafe Vienna with real gingerbread house. The afternoon team with scones and bread rolls. Very nice and good. Is recommended

Fantastic hotel. Very stately and at the same time practical. Spacious rooms, comfortable bed with separate duvet and functional bathroom, although a little small for what the room is.
The breakfast is one of the best I have seen in hotels of the same level.
I don't have a single bad comment about this hotel. Just great.

Great place for brunch, exceptional service, and super delicious

The rooms are a sleek 6. Even the rooms in budget hotels are bigger. If you sit on the toilet the bathroom is completely full. Not even the door would be open then. In addition, worn, worn and damaged inventory. Such rooms I would expect at most from a 2 star hotel in the lower price range. The service is usually professional and hard-working, unfortunately there are exceptions. On the other hand, it is exciting that most public areas such as the bar and restaurant are remarkably well-kept compared to the rooms. The breakfast buffet is excellent from the selection. Of the quality, however, only mediocre, so we went to a cafe around the corner to have breakfast. If you expect something for your money, you will be disappointed.

Of course I can book a "bigger category" in every hotel. However, I expect to expect a room in a 5 * hotel which is larger than a cell in a prison. If your front desk already from the FF argues it's just an old hotel, then I wonder why they do not ask the prices of 1950.
I am used to both conference and luxury hotels and I know them. I have also been able to stay overnight in all categories in Vienna in several categories. On average, unfortunately, my hotel for my experiences mercilessly failed. There will not be a second chance like that.

Wasn t really impressed with this place. Liked the Hilton next door much more and it s also a old building. Staff friendly but it wasn t enough for me. Expected more.

Definitely not the best of the 5 stars, but very high quality / price ratio. Nice rooms, clean, a little retro but with everything you need.
The service at the bar / restaurant is also good, although to eat typical Viennese cuisine it is better to leave the hotel.
The unsurpassed breakfast, from the classic sweet, to complex savory dishes with fish ending with extracts made on the spot.

Here is the whole world at home. Pleasant atmosphere.

Great breakfast, very clean throughout the hotel. Like in most of the old hotel buildings the sound insulation not great but there is worst even in new hotels. Wondering why not change the windows, would be more cost effective and quieter. Also from outside it is quite ugly.

Close to Vienna down town and very convenient to shopping!

Not up to the mark when compared to other intercontinental stayed across Asian countries.
Bedroom is small,Bed is small and toilet is small.
Had to ask for extra items personally rather than already been provided.

Splendid hotel excellent breakfast but very busy as you might expect.

Very fine brunch, with champagne (without restriction - it is constantly refilled) and very rich buffet for several courses. Stylish ambience. Appropriate clothing is an advantage!

The best location ever!!! Seriously we stepped out and walked for 5 mins and we were in the heart of Vienna. Insanely clean. Perfect response from front desk always.

Nice property and service. Rooms need to be updated and club access rates could be improved.

We really liked the staff who made us comfortable. The location allows access to several important places of the city and the breakfast was delicious.

Very nice hotel, the rooms are very clean, the bed is one of the most confy that i have tried. Private parking but at a cost, it is near the city center sonit is ok for traveling, the subway station across the street of the hotel.

Very nice hotel although needs renovation at a very good position just at walking distance to u station and city center.

Can't say,never stayed here,walked by every day looks, expensive,,but a nice gingerbread house bar we could see through the window.,

Great weekend spent

we spent a long weekend and the Interconti Vienna and its employees contributed to this.

We got a surprising upgrade to a larger room on the 11th floor with a great view over the city park.
I was also very happy about the birthday cake in the room as a small gift and as a clear indication that IHG values the guest and that customer data is not only used to collect data and for advertising.

In addition, once again a big thank you to the ladies and gentlemen at the reception and also in the breakfast service. They were very friendly and solved small problems immediately (forgot charging cable, remote control on TV broken).

We would love to come back

Viennese Sadthotel. Pleasant atmosphere. Friendly staff. Special requests will be fulfilled immediately.

Actually a really nice and cozy hotel.
Especially the breakfast buffet is looking for the same.

The rooms are however relatively small and the decor / equipment is already a bit getting old.
Partly worn and not always 100% clean.
The mattress on the second stay was noticeably worn out and should be renewed.

Unfortunately, point deduction is also due to the very uncomfortable dry air in the rooms.
Air conditioning was permanently switched off.

Also, the noise level is very high, as on the one hand was very noisy and on the other hand again and again room doors pop outrageously loud.
So you should be prepared for one or the other sleepless night.

Above all, you should rooms that are directly in front of or next to the elevator, either better insulate or not at all occupy.

It has almost no quiet minute in 24 hours.
Partly it is hellishly loud, room doors pop as I said the whole night anyway.
In addition, you can now hear elevator doors, and sometimes very loud conversations immediately in front of the room door, in front of the elevator.

One can only hope that something is done against the popping room doors and close them in the future quieter.
Then it works with the good sleep ...

addendum:
As already mentioned, I have the problems at the front desk addressed. Another room was not free according to the reception, so a room change was not possible.

Actually, we almost always get off at the Interconti - you know what you have - the location is excellent right on the city park - within walking distance the center is very easy to reach - the staff friendly - very good bar. The rooms sometimes a bit small - but also here do not expect any unpleasant surprises. If you really want to have breakfast - should not miss the large and excellent buffet - and the bar at the bar - often with live piano - should also be tried

Great customer service, nice clean but very old hotel

No matter what I can describe but this place is amazing , near to the centre and easy access by train , taxi , and walk distance to the opera house and the main square , rooms are good and the lobby floor is excellent look , I spent my nights in once I'm in Vienna and will make sure next time to be in again, a great staff and they really take care of the guest , make sure when you are in vienna to reserve your room and try the best lobster I taste in the lobby restaurant, enjoy it

It's a great high class place to stay to explore beautiful Vienna. The service was excellent, the room was nice, some rooms have amazing view at the local icerink.

The bar in the Conti is one of the most beautiful in Vienna.
Unfortunately, soon history, because the green speculators fall victim.

Very old building, needs renovation, rooms are good but doesn't give u the vibe for which intercontinental is famous for ... area and views are amazing from the hotel
