Nice place to stay in Vienna. Close to walk to man...
Nice place to stay in Vienna. Close to walk to many places.
Nice place to stay in Vienna. Close to walk to many places.
Great hotel, very stylish and tasteful.
Goods in the cafe lounge. Nice atmosphere, friendly service, very good coffee and pastries.
Lovely staff - delightful dining with superb local cultural dishes! One of Vienna's landmarks.
I agree with some of the previous comments, but as someone who has stayed in a vast number of Vienna's deluxe hotels I always find I come back to the Vienna Intercontinental. I'm welcomed 'home' each time I come back. For anyone who travels extensively and appreciates true value for money - the IC Vienna consistently wins hands down! I've stayed multiple times at the Ritz Carlton, Imperial, Renaissance at The Spanish Riding School, The Sacher, and even the Radisson - yet I never have the warm feeling of being 'home' as I do at the IC.
As for convenience - the IC is directly across from Stadtpark station, and rooms either overlook the park or Vienna's famous ice-skating rink. I compare it with staying at The Plaza on Fifth Avenue in NYC, overlooking the skating rink in Central Park.
If you enjoy the patina of a long-loved hotel, where service and sincerity excels over modernity and the thin vaneer of 'newness' then you'll love the IC Vienna!
Finally, if you have lots if bags and don't want to schlep them onto the CAT, consider having the hotel collect you on arrival at the airport or Banhof - it's great value and a refreshing start to your arrival in beautiful Wein! Enjoy! Fr B+
Very nice bar with a beautiful chandelier. Friendly team, good drinks.
The service is good, but the hotel is just getting old.
We had an outstanding experience during our recent stay there.
Every staff member we encountered was pleasant and greeted us.
Our room was tidy and fresh, every time our room was cleaned it was perfect.
Our bed and bedding was very comfortable. My only wish is that I would have asked for a different pillow, which I forgot to ask about. I like a firmer pillow and I kept forgetting they had different types.
The lounge breakfast was amazing, I was never worried about finding something to satisfy my hunger. Great selection!
Overall, had an awesome time.
This hotel is probably in one of the best locations for anyone wishing to tour Vienna, the hotel is absolutely beautiful inside and the staff are incredibly professional, very helpful and polite.
The rooms are a decent size with comfortable beds however should be modernised a little. The tvs came equipped with satellite tv which is a nice little perk and the mini bar had a great variety of consumables. I will also add that the hotel had fantastic wifi coverage with speeds of up to 80mb which again you don't find often in other 5 star hotels.
The only drawback to this hotel was their room menu, they could do with upgrading the food options along with making their prices a little more reasonable. 12 for a 500ml bottle of water and 24 for a small club sandwich is a little unreasonable at-least in my experience.
Excellent, extraordinary attention and very very friendly highly recommended!
Somewhat worn Edel Hotel that does not do much from the outside. I was there as a day guest on event and could not even hand in my luggage at the front desk. The restaurant was really good though. I would prefer to stay overnight but choose another hotel.
Great hotel in the old style. Luxurious and really comfortable. Rooms large and comfortable, great breakfast, friendly and professional staff. Onsite restaurant good, nice bar, spa and boutique. Positioned in front of the Stadpark and walkable centers
Ignore the exterior - inside you'll find the best unassuming but friendly and attentive and professional service anywhere. Just stay and enjoy
Champagne brunch - okay. The musical accompaniment on the piano was a bit too loud, the champagne not quite our taste, but otherwise okay.
I think the rooms are small. The tiny bathroom. Good buffet for breakfast
Best service!
Best quality, beautiful rooms, top relaxed atmosphere! I will gladly come again!
The equipment is quite satisfactory, and the name of the guest printed on the TV is quite fresh.
Good ubication. Fourth as expected. Is at the limit of needing a renewal.
The hotel don't worth such money. The location is good, but the hotel is quite old and rooms are not clean enough. Iron and ironing board is awful. But breakfast is good. In my opinion in Vienna you can find better hotels for the similar price.
The service, the room, the lobby and the breakfast are great.
Very small rooms, the bathroom, may God bless you, is small and needs maintenance, as the toilet seat is not fixed
Its location is fairly good, it is about 15 minutes' walk from Stavens Square
The city is very close to the center ... and it's on the subway line.
Nice hotel to stay in viennna. Pleasent staff. View outside from room below
A good hotro. Breakfast right. A bit old in the district 3 border with the # 1.
Very well maintained ... excellent bar and breakfast. Dear as fire
There is often a nice live piano playing in the bar. The topfenstrudel is amazing. Helpful and smiling staff.
Very beatiful but personnally i like smaller hotels
Hotel has fantastic, friendly service and staff. Grand entryway, bustling bar area in the evenings and large seating area in the lobby. Remember to scan your key to ascend in the lift to your floor. Rooms are classic but the beds are quite comfortable and linens are plush. Each morning, the variety of breakfast options serves as a real treat. A short walk to the tube, park and anywhere you would want to go.
So, my girlfriend and I stayed at the InterContinental Vienna June 15th and 16th and we were both extremely impressed. I booked our room through the Fine Hotels & Resorts program with American Express which promises a free upgrade on arrival if available. What I didn't expect was the bump to the junior suite with a corner view overlooking the courtyard behind the hotel, which was super nice and put a positive spin to everything that came after. The staff made checking in and checking out a breeze.
On our first night, we had drinks and a light dinner at the bar. The drinks were rather expensive in my opinion, but I suppose that's normal for a higher end bar. I recommend at least stopping to try the apple strudel, as that was incredible.
Being able to go just across the street and get on the train was great. It made doing all the touristy stuff we wanted to do super easy.
As for breakfast, it was pretty standard for a hotel of this quality/price point. I might have just been there at a busy time, but I was surprised to see it so crowded at 8:30-9:00. There was no shortage of food however, and they were attentive with keeping my coffee full, so on the whole I liked the breakfast.
I'd like to go back and get the same/a similar room in the winter, as it looks like they turn the courtyard behind the hotel into an ice skating rink. While I was there, it was a beach in the city themed thing, which I didn't check out.
The service is great and the rooms are very clean and reasonably priced.
Great view and great service. But my powerbank was stolen from the room after I left :(
Beautiful hotel with great service. Will definitely stay again.
Exterior visually rather meaningless block at the city park, the inside of a very nice luxuriously equipped hotel accommodates. The bar is very attractively decorated and offers a variety of very good cocktails. The service is very ok. High priced and not affordable for everyone.
Great hotel doesnt look like much from the outside but it has quality 5 star service and the staff is overall pretty friendly.
The new rooms are great and the food is good.
Rooms are a bit old fashioned still as it is an Intercon but some rooms have been renewed, maybe most of them by now.
The lobby is nice with a piano and good cocktails. Prices are ok for 5 star in Vienna. Surely cheaper than other 5 star hotels in Vienna and still better than most.
For any person wanting 5 stars this is probably the overall top 3 place in Vienna.
Excellent location. Top level hotel. Unbeatable treatment
Very good hotel with nice rooms..... Park and all the happening joints are near by
The bar and breakfast are awesome at this hotel! The breakfast offers an unbelievably wide choice and everything you could wish for and more than you would expect. In addition to fresh croissants held in a mini-oven on-site for a warm and crispy, homemade honey is prepared for breakfast on the hotel's rooftop in an urban gardening area by in-house beekeepers. The orange juice from the dispenser is freshly pressed and there is even hummus at breakfast. A special feature is the Chinese breakfast offer there is also in the buffet. Of course, the price of 32 is not cheap for breakfast, but you should definitely indulge, because it is a unique breakfast variation and you really have an incredibly wide selection. Gladly again!
Love this hotel, despite its definitely urgent need for a major refurbishment.
Staff is super friendly!
Cozy elegant hotel bar with a wide range of offers at reasonable prices with the best service.
Exclusive hotel very close to the city center of Vienna; Highly recommended is the champagne brunch
One of the best choices to stay near the center! Friendly staff and good atmosphere!
Stayed one night hotel is clean and sufficient. It is a little dated but I think that's part of the charm in Vienna a super modern hotel would feel out of place.
Great place for a drink after a long day sight seeing.
Had a terrible experience in the breakfast room where the hot water urn was unstable and placed to high. Wife suffered 3rd degree burns on her hand.
Best hotel in Vienna. Lovely staff who are very friendly and helpful.
The exterior is dated, but inside you can breathe a completely different air!
Clean hotel and friendly staff.
The location is central and the center can be reached in 10 minutes on foot.
Recommended!
Eventhough its an old hotel, inside it looks very pleasant, warm and clean and the view from the rooms is unique
Always a dream! Restaurant, service, room. My, but 'would be for the reception staff, snotty and cheeky, still have much to learn. But the staff at the cafeteria is excellent !!!!!!
Food was ok, ambiance too, if you like this kind of entertainment
Great hotel and perfect location to explore Vienna. Tube station opposite made it easy to get around but lots in walking distance. Rooms and service at expected standard for Intercontinental and staff great!
Nice, a bit of an aging hotel. Clean and tidy. Nice and helpful service. Great location. The only drawback are the very small bathrooms.
Unfortunately, the waiter on the ground floor bar was extremely rude and aggressive. I evening 1 to February 2
i really do like this hotel, the service at cafe is good, the rooms are spacious and the club lounge has nice park view
Very friendly service without being intrusive !! THANKS A LOT !
Great location as the Underground station Stadtpark is just across the road. The hotel rooms are a little cramped though but housekeeping is tops. The breakfast spread is good and the hotel service is excellent. Most tourist places are within walking distance and we had a great time staying here.
Walking distance from metro, Stadspark and CAT, an excellent location
Room was big, lovely and clean and amenities were top notch. The bed was comfortable and traffic noise was not a problem. My only complaint is the pillows were fluffy but compressed to nothing under my head. So I had to use 2 pillows.
Not exactly a new hotel. But the cleanliness of the rooms, the friendly staff leave a great impression. The restaurant in the hotel is great!
Old famous hotel network. In terms of service, everything is perfect!
Central location. Ideal accommodation for a short break in Vienna. Room very clean and quiet.
Excellent location but price is overpriced and inhabited by many Arabs
