Very friendly courteous staff from walking in the door to back out! So much faster than any hospital I have ever been to. Thanks for taking care of us!
Very friendly courteous staff from walking in the door to back out! So much faster than any hospital I have ever been to. Thanks for taking care of us!
Lived In this town almost my entire life and this hospital is absolutely one of, if not the worst hospitals in larimer county, this is my experience In this town.
For one there's alot nurses that don't know how to draw blood. They've had to stick my girlfriend over and over in the arm blowing out veins and in my friends too, then being rude about it acting like your at the mercy of the hospital. In Estes Park you are kinda trapped if u enter this hospital during an emergency because no other hospital is nearby, the resources suck up here and the hospital bills are much heaftier than most other places.
Dr.k was watching my girlfriends pregnancy and supposedly doing blood and urine tests on her. Come to find out she has preeclampsia when she almost dies from high blood pressure while in Longmont and her pregnancy wouldn't hand had to come to 29weeks 3 days premature term if doctor k actually checked her urine and blood like he said. (Now hes getting sued by another hospital for not doing his job)
Luckly my girlfriend was in Longmont and UC health In Longmont identified the problem promptly and sent her to university of Colorado in aurora on flight for life. They said that receive an average of 25 patents in 3-6 months directly refered to Univ of Colorado that they say he had the resources to fix himself.
being raised here I've had plenty of experience with all of Estes parks medical providers including salud medical clinic and this whole town seems to be at a lack of resources and knowledgable staff.
Dont get me wrong there are a few good doctors that are up to date with there medical education but very few (probability is not in your favor!) like Dr.Florence the orthopedic surgeon but it seems this hospital will suggest you do unnecessary things to get more money out of u. Dont let them tell you you can't leave either its your god given right unless your deemed irrational.
If your still reading this and you want to take your loved one somewhere they'll actually get the right treatment and help the nearest is UC health in Longmont. Little blocked looking hospital but I assure you they actually know their stuff and have resources galore.
I hope I saved someone the agony and frustration this hospital can easily bring to you like they've done to me.
Went to this place to the ER with a sinus infection and URI and they gave me weak antibiotics and two days later I was back at urgent care in Loveland where I was given two Z packs. I don t even remember them taking my temperature. Gave them my insurance and now they are billing me.
If you type in "urgent care" into Google maps, this place shows up. Unfortunately they charge hospital prices. The average price for an urgent care visit is $100-$200, this place billed me for $1228.00 for a 15 minute visit. Even after my insurance shelling out a grand they are still sending bills for the remainder. What a sad state our healthcare system is in when these facilities can charge whatever they want without telling you and then damage your credit if you don't pay up.
One of the best hospital experiences of my life. Amazing staff and actually great facilities. I was very happy with their care, in addition to their assistance with my spouse. She had a place to sleep and hot food in her tummy, which was not expected.
Update - I'm very upset that I have to call and beg for a pain medication refill. There isn't a consistent point of contract and getting a call back is fairly hit and miss. Suffice to say, my prescription for my broken ankle ran out yesterday and I stretched the prescription far further than it was intended and now I'm experiencing an amount of pain that over the counter meds won't touch and am expected to somehow ignore the pain, which is impossible, and somehow just make it through? Terrible follow through on Estes park.
I sure hope you don t ever have to contact billing department here! Left 5 voicemails over the past 3 weeks and not a single one was responded too! My insurance even tried contacting them...
TWO WORDS: PRECISION CARE to top to bottom. This hospital is staffed with providers that are as personable as they are professional. Our vacation to Estes Park was interrupted by an emergent situation requiring surgery. Each person we encountered demonstrated compassion and support from admission to discharge. The team was very attuned to subtle changes in needs and delivered prompt attention. Thank you so much everyone.
Went to CO for the long weekend with my boyfriend and unfortunately ended up here due to severe bronchitis. I originally went to UC Longmont s ER that morning and they weren t helpful, which led to a second ER visit. The most caring, attentive, and sweet staff you can find. Dr. Meyer was awesome along with his nurses and the receptionists up front. I m the biggest wuss when it comes to needles, but the nurses were patient the entire time. I appreciate you all tremendously as I felt so much better after the visit. They waited until my near 104 degree fever went down to let me go. Thank you so much!
Thank you for helping me to get better I appreciate all of the friendly nurses who take care of me while I was there thanks so much to Kevin and Sarah Kevin is my favorite nurse ever.
ER promptly diagnosed a life threatening condition with my wife, then transported her to Loveland for special surgery. Back to EPH ER when complications developed. Promptly diagnosed a new issue. They kept my wife for a couple days and corrected the complication. Staff was very effective and friendly. What more cod we ask for? Thank You EP .
I was transported here following an automobile accident while visiting Estes Park. I can't say enough good things about ALL the emergency responders. Thank you to Dr. Brian Elliott who calmed me down as well as ensured I was physically OK. Huge thanks to Leslie. My cell phone, with all my phone numbers, was lost in my car after the accident. She was wonderful in looking up phone numbers for my insurance, for transport to the airport, for the local fire department to retrieve my phone, etc. etc. Thank you for your compassion and kindness.
Absolutely the best care! Doctors are extremely knowledgeable, short wait times, all the specialties you need and excellent bedside manners. They treat you with respect and kindness.
They will fraudulently bill you for services not rendered over a year after an ED visit (6/2019) for your child when you haven t been remotely near them for the reported date of service (7/2020??)They do not have patient advocates and they do not respond quickly to their billing errors. Avoid them if you can.
Terrible. My girlfriend went to the ER for severe abdominal pain. The "nurse" was trying to find a vein for an IV. She tried twice and started CURSING that she couldn't find a vein. She gave up and left. Another "nurse" ( I think they are both emt's) tried once, failed and left. My girlfriend was in severe pain and no one came back in the room for over an hour. I went to find someone to let them know she needed help and the guy sitting at the desk said there was nothing they could do. The Dr. never came to examine her in the hour+ we were in the room. We walked out of the ER, not one person said a word to us. We raced down to Longmont United and are receiving care here. The most unprofessional staff I have EVER encountered at a health facility. Please avoid EPMC if at all possible.
I came into the E.R. with flank pain, vomiting and diarrhea. The nurses and doctors were extremely nice and helpful. I was thinking they could stop the symptoms, give me some fluids and I could rest up and work that night. My illness had other plans. I ended up staying almost 4 days. I had a severe infection in my kidneys and needed IV antibiotics. The staff was kind and attentive. I am a nurse and probably not the best patient. The doctor was thorough and took the time to explain and answer all everything my questions. Though I was extremely sick, my care was excellent.
This review will not let me give less than 1 star, or I would not have given it any. If you have a choice and can handle driving just a few minutes more, please do so. There are plenty of hospitals in Loveland, Fort Collins, Boulder and Longmont. I received services here just two months ago. I decided to use Estes Park Medical Center because I have a family member that works there. She just called to inform me the nurse that took care of me (a nice enough gentleman) and other nurses, including the nurse adminstrator at the facility did not carry a valid nursing license. Is this really a hospital or are they playing hospital? My care was mediocre. I could hear my nurse and others laughing and carrying on much through the night. I would not recommend this hospital at all. Don't take the risk, it is your health and only you can manage it. And as others mention, wait until you get the bill. Outrageous! Rinky dink care at a high cost...do not make that high cost your life.
Fantastic ER staff! Everyone from the time I walked in to the time I walked out was courteous and professional.
Had to get stitches and the staff was pretty lit. They were all really chill and super nice. The doctor was really cool about my stitches even tho I had to get them for a stupid reason, but didn't make feel dumb . The doctor looked like one of the dudes off of Grey's Anatomy too so that was pretty dope . They were all really cool and besides the stitches, it was a pretty lit experience .
Excellent care and outstanding staff! They took appropriate action when I brought my wife to emergency care! Within 5 minutes she was helped, throughout her stay all the personal was extremely friendly and caring!
Fantastic caring people Small facility so they dont have some of the expensive specialized equipment but they have been able to provide everything we have needed for 30+ years including a couple major surgeries .
I would go there agin
Estes Park Health was my only option for medical treatment on a Saturday night. After a 15 minute visit, I was charged $1500. They took advantage of my situation. I am only posting this review after receiving letters asking for donations from the Estes Park Health Foundation. I am disgusted and I would not recommend them.
Professional, dedicated doctors and nurses. Excellent care.
Horrible emergency room.. horrible doctors.. Scott chew is a joke. I'll never ever go to Estes Park medical center again.
Took my 18 month old in to the ER over concerns about his breathing and the entire staff was fantastic. We were seen very quickly and everyone was very kind.
Do not use if you have Kaiser. They charged me almost $800 for just a doctor's visit. I did get a separate bill for $600 for x-rays. It would have been cheaper to go to the ER than go to this clinic. Kaiser patients use timberline they are only around $100 per visit. I called in to set an appointment and the lady on the phone said all doctors were Kaiser friendly. You lied to me. Shame on you Estes Park Health.
Our insurance is suppose to cover x Ray's but hospital will not work with our insurance when we got over charged for x Ray's. We got charged for hospital visit, when we went directly to x ray department directly. Insurance saying since it's not separate from hospital and hospital billed it as part of hospital they wont cover it unless hospital changes how its billed. Which they wont, instead they just sent it to collection agents and told us to deal with it through them. Thanks for not working with customers. Would rather go to loveland then go here.
The Emergency Room Doctor didn't provide any care for my very painful and disabling condition. I was treated poorly and sent away when I had an injury. I am very disappointed that he didn't conduct any tests to find out what was wrong with me or how he could help. I had to leave there upset and in tremendous pain.
Though most of the people were nice and did the best they could but this hospital did not have the equipment or trained staff to properly deal with my acute pain and what turned out to be a very common issue. I went through extra days of pain, testing, costs and fear of bigger issues because of this. I have learned to do my research of surrounding ERs so the next time there is an emergency we go to the right place the first time - even if it is a little further.
Apparently, there is no triage off hours...meaning 0800(8:00AM)-1700(5:00PM), you will get help, 100%.
BUT...1701(5:01PM)-(next day,7:50AM)0750AM, you will be told "they do not triage at that hour."
WOW. Good job!!!!!!
Experience was very positive until I received the bill. Needed some minor stitches at the ER since of course nothing else is open in town. I would call it highway robbery and the most expensive 1 hour I've ever had to experience. If it's not life threatening, suggest driving to Longmont or Boulder even if you have insurance.
Entire staff at EPMC is helpful, competent and caring. Our whole family has received care here and each time has been a great experience.
This was the only facility available for me on a Sunday. I also found the experience positive until I got the bill. It was $1600 just to walk in the door with additional charges for the treatment of a minor fracture taking less than an hour to "treat". Then, additional charges from the physician. If your injury is non-life threatening, I would also recommend going to a different facility in Boulder or Denver!!
Dr. K, the nursing staff, and even the phlebotomist is well worth the hour and a half drive I make to see them when I could go somewhere else thats only 15 mins from me. THATS how well they treat me at Estes!
Rudest receptionist in cardio that I have ever spoken to in my life. Will avoid the place at all cost which is unfortunate because the doctors and facility could be amazing but I'll never know.
Not sure why my name is coming up as Ashlee - I'm Brenda :) However, I was in Estes Park on vacation and was injured...taken to the Estes Park Medical Center and was admitted for two days. I cannot thank the staff enough - from the ER to the specialists - everyone was knowledgeable and helpful and compassionate. Thank you!!
I am receiving bills from a Texas Company for an item I was given at Estes Medical Center over a year ago from Dr Florence! Why am I responsible for this?! Will never return to this Hospital! I also give Dr Florence a poor rating!
Thanks to the staff at the Medical Center for your friendly and cheerful attitude. I could tell everyone enjoyed their jobs and did everything to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Special thanks to Sarah who made an extra effort to assure my comfort.
On vacation...Sunday night...around 11 p.m. we brought our 10 year-old in to ER with severe ear pain. The staff was friendly, prompt and thorough. In and out in 30 minutes with meds and a much happier child and a relieved parent.
All ER personnel, except the doctors, have wonderful bedside manner. The only complaint I have pertain directly to the doctor's themselves. The doctors are extremely rude/ insensitive and disrespectful.
Giving 1 star because first off I had a pregnancy emergency and the ER staff was horrible the EMT could even get the needle in my arm. He left my arm black and blue and you could see where the needle went in. The little nurse was so rude and jabbed the needle in my left arm. When I get ready to leave she rips it out of my arm. Second I go in to get blood drawn and ultrasound done. I've never been so rushed and not felt cared about or my baby. I wanna know why I have to wait till I half way through my pregnancy (20 weeks) to see my baby and why Dr.K and his nurse treated me like trash. The first time around they were fantastic but it worries me I can't see my child or know what's going on....I NEED ANSWERS!! Not lazy doctors!!!!
Like other reviewers here, the initial experience wasn't terrible, but the bill was OUTRAGEOUS. For a minor infection, it cost $1200 to walk through the door, and $200+ for simple labwork that usually costs maybe 30 bucks at a doctor's office.
Go somewhere else if its not lifethreatening or very serious!
