The worst hotel I ve been to! Stains on the sheets, carpet was filthy. bathroom had hair in the tub, hair in the shower, hair all over the floor there was hair in the towels. They were smudges all over where they have tried to clean with a towel tables, glass. It s a sorry excuse for a five-star hotel!
I understand I checked in at 1:30 in the morning, there was like two people working. None of them had really good attitude!

Excellent hotel. Chief Arts resturant is amazing and the bar has high quality drinks. Ask for the Filthy Cherries in your drink. I order them off line now for $50 a jar to make drinks for friends at home. They serve them at the bar.

Most horrible experience at a 5 star hotel I have ever had! I booked two rooms, one for myself and another for a client who I was meeting in Atlanta on business. This property is under different management from when I stayed previously, at that time it was pristinely kept and everyone went out of their way to be of service. This trip was one disaster after another. Rude general manager, rude front desk staff, dirty carpets, hair on the duvets, bathroom shower walls with hair on them, call for towels that arent delivered for twelve hours, and the list goes on. Both myself and my clients had repeated issues. Reported this to Priority Club while still staying in the hotel and was assured that the hotel would be in touch to attempt to rectify the situation, that never occurred, yet the employee at the front desk who took care of my check out this morning was talking about me to someone on his ear piece while completing the check out process! Unreal! The Ritz is two blocks away and has impeccably clean rooms, luxuriously appointed, and the service is amazing. Opt for that instead.

I only attended for a half-day professional event and did not stay overnight. Staff was very friendly. No onsite coffee cafe which was disappointing. Free coffee, but cups were so so small! Also disappointing.

If I wanted to stay at a hotel that wreaked of marijuana I could have stayed at the motel 6 for 50 bucks. Definitely not a 5 star experience.

Also, website said that the pool opened at 7. I promised the kids I would take them swimming before we had to leave so we went at 9am and it was closed. I called the front desk and they said the pool doesn t open until 11. They refuse to make it right even though it s in writing on the website.

I m sure they will probably respond blaming it all on covid because that s the general excuse right now instead of the business just owning up to their mistakes.

This hotel is the epitome of class. From the time you arrive until you depart, the staff is doing the most to make you comfortable. The decor is awesome. The live piano bar was so elegant. They really serve up the royal treatment. And lastly, I want to give kudos to Jermaine. He was professional and saw to our every whelm. Thanks again Jermaine for everything.

If there was a way to not give any stars I would. So far our stay has been terrible...after a 10+ hour drive we arrived to no rooms with double beds, mind you I have a confirmation number for a room with two double beds. There are four women, their solution...a supposedly king sized bed (if that is a king sized bed then someone lied to management) with a pullout cot. They would put us on a list and probably could put us in a room with double beds tomorrow. I asked to speak to the manager at the hotel, he was not on the premises. I ask you what good is a confirmation number if they don't honor it? Called customer service the representative was rude, I asked to speak to a Supervisor she put me on hold and then hung up on me! I did speak to a lovely young man named, Danny who was extremely helpful. He said someone would get back to me, well they haven't yet. You have to do better, Intercontinental Hotel!

Wedding Night, we had decided to stay the night here after our wedding which was at a different venue. Parking was $28.00 overnight and at breakfast which was included in the stay we struggled to get water and coffee at our table!? It was weird, my husband got up and chased someone down to get beverages after we had sat down and began eating for at least 30 minutes. Even after we got someone she told us to wait for another girl to come. She took another 10 or so minutes to get to us. She was friendly but they were not crazy busy so there was no reason for us to have waited so long for coffee, again it was a weird situation. The breakfast choices were good and varied so there was something for everyone. The room was clean and very comfortable beds and pillows.

I attended a conference here this week. The facilities are very nice. The rooms are very comfortable and up to date. The hotel is in a very nice part of ATL, about half a mile from a very nice mall, and there are great restaurants near as well.

My family of six attended the JDRF Gala Dinner last Saturday at a cost of $400.00 per person (a portion of which goes to JDRF)
Two of us do not eat red meat and in advance requested fish or chicken, rather that steak.

At the dinner we were told there is only a vegetarian offering, which we accepted. The plate consisted of a very small tomato topped with a small amount of raw quinoa, and on the side three or four small string beans, and a very small portion of another vegetable. Only the center part of a normal plate had food on it.

The steak dinner was similarly sparse with a modest piece of meat and only garnish portions of potato, etc. These plates also looked like appetizer plates.

I would not recommend having a large event here again.

PS The whole table agreed with my opinion.

Stayed at the Intercontinental for my wedding. The staff were SO professional and responsive helping me organize my bridal suite and guest block. Some guests booked outside of the room block and they helped me crosscheck guest names with those reservations, which definitely took some time. My family and relatives had nothing but good things to say about their interactions with the staff here!!

To say the least, i am extremely unhappy with the services rendered by this hotel. My nephew was stung by a scorpion in our hotel suite. Our stay ended up with a trip to the Piedmont hospital's emergency room.

Updated ....They never reached out to us, concerning the incident after our stay.

Service is very very good. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The food at Southern art restaurant was excellent, and the waitresses were very polite and kind. Another good thing is that kids eat free at breakfast time. I can't give it more starts because this hotel is not what it claims to be ( A five starts hotel). Parking lot smelled bad and parking spaces were tiny. The carpet of the room and aisles were dusty and dirty. The AC thermostat was blocked at 65; You would Say that 65 is very cold, but it felt like 75 inside and we were sweating. Called room service and they unlocked the thermostat so we stopped sweating. The shower has issues also: one second it was burning hot and the next was cold ( all that without touching anything). The pool was coooold and dirty. The tub temperature was very good, but it was dirty. The mattresses were hard and was a challenge falling asleep. Thank you for the great great service.

I stayed here for a conference. The area is very posh, with a number of nice restaurants nearby. The hotel is extremely nice. I had a king bed on the 14th floor. My room wasn't huge, but it was plenty large and very nice. It was extremely clean and well-decorated. I ended up getting the upgrade that included access to the club on the top floor, where the hotel had food throughout the day. I ate breakfast there every day, and stopped by for a lunch on a couple of days as well. I went to dinner at the restaurant one night and was very impressed. I also used the gym a couple of times. It was outfitted with plenty of equipment that was all in good repair. I found the hotel staff to be extremely helpful and courteous. Overall, my experience was great. If I was paying out of pocket, I'd say it was expensive, but my work covered it, so I won't worry too much about that.

TERRIBLE

TERRIBLE

Stayed this weekend and had a terrible experience. The people were very rude and the night manager was very rude as well. The room was very hot. We went to Big sky on saturday night and came back and after laying there for an hour I got so hot that I went down to the lobby to cool off. The manager comes up to me and says what room are you in and I told him. He said we have several noise complaints of arguing and talking. My girlfriend went straight to sleep when we got in and we were not arguing or talking. He said we checked the cameras and saw you come down at the exact time the noise complaint was made. I explained to him it was not us and that I was just hot and could not sleep. He insisted that it was us and was very rude. I get on the elevator and it smelled of Marijuana so bad I did not even want to get in it so I went back to the manager and told him. He said, "yes we have taken care of it. Some young men were smoking weed outside of the hotel and reeked of it and made the elevator smell. I said well when I am paying $260 a night to stay I expect that not to be happening and I know someone smoked in the elevator because it was so bad. He said "hey every now then some people have to have some good weed" and laughs about it. After that I knew he was not concerned about it and I went back to the room. I then heard the people arguing he thought was us and called down to the front desk and said, I need to make a noise complaint". The woman says yes in 609? We took care of it. I said no I am in 609 it is not us and they are yelling now and it is 4 am. She said okay we will look into it, but they never stopped and I did not get any sleep. I will not be staying here ever again and don't appreciate the way we were treated. I expected intercontinental to make it right when I just called about another issue of them charging an extra $100 that I was not made aware of and brought it up, but it was not their concern at all. DO NOT STAY HERE!

My stay started on the downside when I first got to my room and noticed the linens and bed in poor condition. However a manager promptly took care of the situation and moved me to another room. It was a corner room, it had more space and more ample restroom and bedroom areas. The toiletries were the same high quality on both rooms. I requested a club room but the front desk agents couldn t provide an exact cost for the difference in rates. One gave me two different numbers and ultimately got upset and said something rude. I was given wrong hours for their restaurant and when I arrived it was closed. However I was able to order food from the bar. It was great but they didn t have a few of the items from the menu, presumably because the kitchen was also about to close. I enjoy a couple of martinis, a delicious flatbread and an avocado and tuna toast. Room service for breakfast was prompt and delicious. Everything arrived much sooner than anticipated. I ordered granola which was a large portion and nicely presented and an egg whites omelet with Greek yogurt. Both were well made and had excellent flavor. The valet team was awesome. They made me feel welcomed since my arrival and promptly retrieved my car. Good service with great attitude and far superior from the front desk staff. Overall I had an OK stay since there were many issues in both rooms that included dirty bathrooms and ripped sheets. Although the rest of the hotel was impecable and well kept I can only remember the bad impressions. Probably would pick another hotel in the nearby area like the Westin or the W Hotel. Both at walking distance.

Every employee we came into contact with was outstanding and very friendly. Our room was beautiful with great views of the city. Beds were very comfortable as well. Only issues I had was that room service wouldn't answer me. Also the water was a little tricky I would have it on hot water then it would turn cold so I'd have to switch it to cold then it would turn hot and sometimes I couldn't get cold water at all.
We didn't book through intercontinental's website so other websites don't tell you but parking is 28 dollars a day, and they place a 100 dollar hold on a credit/debit card that will be refunded 3-5 days later (both to be expected though).

What a beautiful and elegant place to meet for a drink or to dine. And I mean DINE. Not EAT. The food is AMAZING and I had no idea so many famous people stay at this hotel!!! I devoured my shrimp and grits and the twist these guys put on southern comfort food (we are not talking flash in the pan trend of the moment that will ruin what you have your mouth set for) but deliver that southern comfort dish and take it to another level like the spice in their chicken and dumplings soup!!! You can never go wrong with an Intercontinental!!

First room, 310. Apparently they don't put much effort into the lower floors as far as cleaning. Hallway was very dirty. Then our room's floor didn't look like it had been vacuumed, old food, dead ladybugs. Also the bathroom sink didn't drain well at all. So we went back down stairs. Front desk very nice, gave us complimentary drinks while the room was recleaned, however they never did vacuum the hallway. The next morning we opened the curtains to enjoy the view and the windows and curtains were covered in live ladybugs! I mean at least 50 or 60. Again we visited the front desk, they moved us, this time to the 6th floor. Again, ladybugs. Now moving up, 17th floor, ladybugs. At this point the very nice bellman, I'm sure tired of hauling luggage from floor to floor, called the front desk and arranged to have a room debugged while we were out for the day. That evening we returned and we're now placed on the 20th floor. The room was clean and only had one ladybug on the outside curtain. I suppose it could have been on our luggage from one of the previous rooms, but at this point we were tired of moving so I killed it and called it a night. I realize bugs get into every place but from the 3rd floor to the 17th? That's a problem. I just hope the hotel takes this seriously because it is a pretty building. They just need to pay a little more attention to cleaning. 4 and 5 stars you expect it to be clean and everything working properly. I agree with a previous review that they do nickel and dime you rather than providing services that much cheaper hotels provide for free. I mean, at this point in society internet should be free. Why in the world would you pay for internet? Reminds me of the airline industry charging for every little thing.
