Paal 19 reached on foot over the campsite. The sunset is especially enjoyable here, especially with a beer. We have a nice evening here with food and drink. Everything was delicious and the kids enjoyed it.

Good beach bar with friendly service! Have a really nice local beer on tap. Recommended! Also for rental for larger groups.

The Starndpavillion is, as the name suggests, at the height of Paal (pile) 19 on the west side of the island of Texel. After a walk through the national park "The dunes of Texel" or a walk along the beach, a stop is worthwhile. The distance to De Koog is small.

Simple menu, but spacious enough and delicious dishes. Nice and friendly service. We are happy to come. Both during the day and in the evening.

Twee weken terug zijn wij voor een gezellig weekendje naar Texel geweest. Op zaterdag wilden wij daar heerlijk een hapje eten, helaas is onze ervaring anders.
Het begon al bij het voorgerecht, waar ipv een soepele moesterdsoep een kommetje met, althans zo leek het, mosterd werd voorgeschoteld.
Na vervolgens 2 uur te hebben gewacht, waarbij wij meerdere malen om ons hoofdgerecht hebben gevraagd, werd deze zeer matig uitgeserveerd.
De biefstukken waren smakeloos en klein van formaat, de sauzen waren vet en zelfs de frietjes waren slecht (zacht en niet gaar).
Nadat we dit hebben aangegeven bij het personeel, werd ons 1 nieuw (smakeloos) biefstukje aangeboden terwijl er twee (van de 8) personen biefstuk hadden besteld.
Nadat we dit (mede gezien de lange wachttijd en de twee eerder geserveerde slechte biefstukjes) hebben afgeslagen en de rekening hebben gevraagd, hebben we uiteindelijk het restaurant zonder excuses of compensering verlaten. Er werd afgedaan met de zin: 'We hebben jullie een nieuw stukje vlees aangeboden, dus gaan wij verder niet op zoek naar een oplossing.'

Wij als 'kinderen' en 'schoonkinderen' hadden dit etentje cadeau willen geven. Uiteindelijk hebben onze ouders betaald met de boodschap: 'Neem ons maar een keer goed mee uit eten.'

Relaxte strandtent met vriendelijke bediening. Wij verbleven op camping Kogerstrand en hebben dus op loopafstand heerlijk ontbeten en gedineerd bij Paal 19.

Bediening is vriendelijk, maar soms is het even wachten op aandacht. De ogen mogen dus iets vaker over de tafels gaan. Paal 19 is van binnen sfeervol ingericht en de koks lopen de poten uit hun lijf. Komen bij een volgend bezoek aan Texel zeker terug!

When busy, don't count on food. Left without food after 2.5 hours. No apologies or drink offered.

The menu can be more extensive, for example, choice from the type of sandwiches.

Food from 5 p.m. Payment not at the table but at the counter only when you have asked what table number you have. We will not visit this Pal again.

Great food. Delicious carpaccio I've had so far. Other dishes also have good quality meat and such. Good service. All in all excellent !! We will definitely be back.

Ordered apple pie and unfortunately did not get it. Generally a bit uncomfortable, a lot of plastic. Look nice what's on the beach but no art.

The lunch snacks we liked, even though they have always been on the pricey side. But when we met up there with friends in the evening for dinner, we were sorely disappointed. The Burger was only that - nothing to go with it for almost 20 . The Lamsduo (lamb) consisted of one lamb chop (1!!) and three cubes of lamb filet for 23 . Without comment the waitress but a tiny bowl (small side salad size) of fries, an equally tiny bowl of coleslaw and a small bowl of some kind of sauce on the table - for the two burgers and the lamb? Or just for the lamb? It wasn't nearly enough for the money or to eat until you are dated. No matter how often we will go back to Texel - this Paal we will not enter again!

Beautiful. Domestic. Fine service. Are you nearby? Go there. Then you absolutely share my opinion.

Had a great day here with our family, plenty of choice from fish, meat, vegetarian and children's portions. Price quality is okay and the service is very friendly. The open kitchen provides an extra experience on the beach.

Great location. Bit of an insider tip, a bit apart from the crowd, not so crowded.
The location is more rustic like a bar in the Caribbean. Subtle music in the background that underlines that. Service personable and friendly. Unfortunately a bit shaky, the order was partly forgotten. But I think that can happen anywhere. Deduction of points in the B grade is still recommended

Ik las net hieronder de review "advies: drankje hier doen en ergens anders eten". Ik zou willen dat ik dat eerder gelezen had.

Wij moesten een uur wachten op ons eten, wat voor een kind van 3 nogal lang is. Maar toen waren ze ook de kindermaaltijd vergeten. Toen ze extra snel een bord pasta lieten doorkomen zat daar wilde spinazie en basilicum door. Dat was onze kleine niet gewend in elk geval. Tot overmaat van ramp zijn de spare-ribs bij mij slecht gevallen en heb ik de hele nacht met diarree op de wc gezeten. 19 voor spare-ribs en een mini-schepje coleslaw en 15 frietjes vind ik vrij veel (friet mag je gratis bijbestellen (handig als het druk is, maar dan heb je wel warme friet bij je koude eten)). Ik had daarna niks meer gegeten dus ik ben vrij zeker dag het de spare-ribs waren. Ik snap best dat je buiten het hoogseizoen niet de optimale service kan verwachten. Helaas was ons bezoek aan Paal 19 bijzonder beroerd, ondanks het vriendelijke personeel overigens. Maar persoonlijk zal ik hier nooit meer een maaltijd bestellen. Hooguit een drankje.
