Intercontinental Hotel Buckhead Review

Huge looking building with 3 grand pianos in the loby and very fancy.

The room was great and the overall experience was great. The only thing I wished I had seen was that parking does not come included. It is not a deal breaker since most hotels in bigger cities have that policy, it's just that it is better to know before hand rather than at the reception desk

Attended an industry luncheon. Professional staff, great food presentation, great atmosphere.

Took 20min last night to get 2 drinks at the bar, and the bar was not even full.

We came down to Atlanta for a long weekend, using points for one evening and paying for the additional two nights. Upon check-in, we were greeted by Xi I believe her name was. She was awesome! Very personable and got us into our 16th floor room without any problems. What a view!!!

The room itself was great... clean, comfortable, amazing views, a soaking tub and separate shower. The bath amenities are SO nice!

We received a survey while we were there and opted to fill it out. Giving honesty (the pillows were way soft and we had really noisey neighbors at 2am) we sent the survey in. Not even an hour later we received a call in our room (!!!) asking if we preferred to have our room moved - and they sent up firm pillows. Talk about service!

We also had to get a package delivered during our stay and they handled it with stellar communication. The only downside to our stay was there was no SPF provided in the rooms and none available in the gift shop or onsite spa. We had to walk down the street to a local CVS but that was only a minor inconvenience. The pool was awesome with really comfy lounge chairs & a poolside bar.

When we come back to ATL- we will be sure to stay here. Thanks InterContinental for a great stay!

not a very pleasant stay this time with this Intercontinental,stayed with them 8 nights,here is my experience:
1 ,we booked the hotel few months ago from IHG,after we checked in of next day,i found much cheaper price on google,with same executive room and same benefit (breakfast including),so i had to go to front desk and talk to them,IHG guaranteed that the members of the IHG will get the best price,too bad,i did not get it until i found out from google,and nobody told me we would get better price the day i checked in.so I had to deal with them ,and changed my reservation of the rest of 7 nights..i am not happy of this.we paid for the room with high price..you can see with the reservations i attached here.old reservation was 3350 dollars for 8 nights ,more than 400 usd per night in average.new reservation was 2435 dollars per night ,330 dollars per night .8 night i can save 500 bucks.i feel that i got cheated
2,hotel is kind of cheap to premium member.they don't concern about your membership too much.such a big different rule of Asian IHG group,it was my first time that i paid for the executive room (not upgrade to it) without getting access the club lounge,they told me i had to pay extra 75 dollars to use that.and i think i have paid pretty high price for this stay.they are greedy..compared with the Asian IHG group benefit such as ,upgrade your room,welcome drink,welcome fruit ,welcome letter,some free laundry,and club lounge access,(even last month in Shanghai Intercontinetal,i booked a room with my point,they still upgraded me and allow me to use the club,what a warm sweet stay there).but here they did not provide any of above benefit .the front desk manager told me ,IHG in Asia and US,they follow different rule..so if they don't concern about the benefit of premium member in the US, so definitly i won't stay with IHG in the US next time when i travel,since i have been very loyal to the IHG.
3,the management system of the hotel is messy,we booked the room including breakfast,the day i checked in ,i asked for the voucher for breakfast.they said no voucher for that.when we went to breakfast,the girl there asked my last name and my room number ,we had buffet and some coffee,except buffet,they also charged for coffee by cups in the bill..so everytime we finished breakfast,they would bring me a bill to sign .because our breakfast is included,so i gave tip by cash each time.but when we checked out the hotel,there were still some checks on the bills,so i had to deal with them again.they questioned those checks either tips or we brought other guest.i said none of it.so the front desk had to print each check from breakfast.
4,hotel is ok,in good location.4 star hotel,room is ok,lobby is good,floor is a little dirty on the carpet,bed is very comfortable.room is ok.buffet breakfast was simple,everyday was the same thing.coffee not include....lol

Location is prime and the staff is great. Roosevelt at Concierge is always pleasant, always a positive attitude.

it was a very nice place except for the roach that came out of the cheese in the club level and the fact that in the morning the water does not get hot smh

The Intercontinental Buckhead should not be touting itself as a luxury destination. We arrived for a two night stay and were underwhelmed at every turn. Upon checking in, our suitcases stayed on the bellman s cart in the lobby so long that we finally had to leave our room and go back down to the lobby to get them ourselves. Sure enough, we found them sitting there completely unattended.

Our room was disappointment at every turn. The room color a stomach turning salmon fillet looking color was ugly beyond any words, dated and garish. The lamps looked like they were from the 1960 s. Hideous and dated too, were the drapes. Just shabby, all of it and worn and dated. The bed was broken down and sagged into a V shape. I got two nights worth of an uncomfortable sleep. Sheets felt like sandpaper (so did the bath towels) and the comforter was so depressing -stiff and miserably uncomfortable. We dreaded bedtime because it was all such low quality offings.

This hotel needs an overhaul. Don t let the lobby fool you. The place is in desperate need of some serious attention.

Classy vibe in East Atlanta. I really enjoyed the jazz musicians playing in the lobby on Friday evening. The room was comfortable and our view of the city was nice. I always enjoy the complimentary flavored water available in the lobby as well. Close to plenty of activities and high end shopping. I was glad I was able to find a special online. It was really worth the value. Parking can be a bit tricky so be prepared to shell out if you're staying multiple nights. I would definitely stay here again. Spacious, clean, and comfortable.

This plase is awsome...laid back atmosphere. Just ask for Rafael. Awesome bartender.

We really enjoyed our time at the InterContinental! Every member of the staff we interacted with was pleasant and helpful. The facilities we're luxurious, though I think they should really consider some improvements to asthetics of the self-park elevator lobies; for as much as they charge to park there they can do better than dingy drop tile ceilings. I'm not sure whether all of the event staff and catering was done by the hotel, but regardless they did a great job. The food was also surprisingly good -- particularly because I'm vegetarian and am accustomed to being snubbed at events of this scale -- though I would have liked to see a vegetable somewhere on the menu. All and all though, it was a great night!

In March of 2020, we were suddenly faced with rescheduling our daughter's wedding. The hotel we had been working with was unavailable for our new date, and we had to start over. The Intercontinental Hotel in Buckhead was the only area hotel that would offer us a generous courtesy room block, and we were pleasantly surprised at the rates offered. We were very pleased with their responsiveness and welcoming attitude. Everything from the room block software that helped us track bookings, to the swift replies on any questions we had made everything a breeze. We and our guests were treated beautifully during our stay. My husband and I were treated to a beautiful suite upgrade, which we really appreciate! The attention to detail was excellent and we cannot thank the hotel enough for their hospitality to us. Their location in Buckhead is great- you are in close proximity to fine dining and shopping. I highly recommend the Intercontinental for your visit to Atlanta!

GSU Open house! We've been hosting our events here for the past few times. Great service and the tacos for your team is a Winning dish to feed a group of people.

We stayed for a week and only got 2 night with turndown service. They also over charge us and even put other people bar charge to our room. Took over an hour to clear this up and the hotel staff was not very helpful.

The hotel was very upscale. The room was very large and the bathroom had an oversized tub and a separate shower. The staff was incredible. We will definitely be staying there again next time we are in Buckhead.

I attended the ICS Security Week conference. The staff was absolutely amazing!

Southern Art, the restaurant, had an amazing Thanksgiving buffet spread. The service was awesome. I'd definitely recommend it.

22$ for parking? Need to pay for internet and no free breakfast? After paying so much a night and a week later charged my card saing that I took 2 idems from the minibar, I put a small box in there and took it out twice, I called them and said they will refund the amount

Went here for my brother's engagement party on the Southern Arts Art Gallery room. The food was excellent and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly.

Expensive parking and difficult to pull into. Otherwise nice inside

The location is fine, but the hotel staff was not helpful when I left my eyeglasses in my room and they came up missing. And of course the cleaning staff didn't see them either. The security staff was not helpful either. I will NEVER stay there again.

Beautiful, this was my valentines day surprise, the staff here wait on you hand and foot, they are very professional. The room we had was stunning, the bed was so comfortable pillows very fluff. The bathroom with a separate huge tub was all I needed, I wish it was jetted. Would definitely patronize them again and again.

Just ate at the restaurant. It's OK but limited menu. Service was very good. The food was unusual and southern local grown fare. Everything tasted good but not great.

We ate at the Southern Bourbon Restaurant at the InterContinental and really enjoyed the food and especially, the service. We did not stay at the hotel, therefore, this rating is only for the restaurant.

Excellent service and room. Solomon behind the front desk was incredibly kind and very knowledgeable about all things Atlanta. I ve now stayed here twice and will continue to whenever I m in Atlanta.

The venue was easy to get to, parking was available at hotel. Space was condusive to event, food was delicious. The staff was friendly.

Located in posh Buckhead area of Atlanta. The pricing was very reasonable for a 5 star hotel. Pleasantly surprised to see they are apart of the IHG family. The room was extremely comfortable and room full advantage of the separate bathtub. Great resteraunts within walking distance. My only complaint is that the building had an issue with the water and we didn't have any from like 10pm till 4am.

We had a three day event here and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The guests loved their rooms. It feels so separate from the hustle and bustle of the city while being in the heart of it!

I ordered room service twice and was disappointed in the taste and cost. I knew it wld cost a few pennies which was not a problem but food had NO SEASONING on the veggies or meats!!! One nite I ordered a club sandwich, the other fried chicken. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Hotel and staff I'd give 5 stars...food no stars.

Great hotel! We stayed there for a week, trying to be nice. Although for Shabbat observance everything required was requested we add a fee.

One of my consistent favorite restaurants in Atlanta. Beautiful spacious rooms and wonderful service in a very centralized buckhead location.

The food, drinks, and experience at the resturant Southern Arts and Bourbon Bar are top notch! I highly recommend it.

The hotel was very nice however, for the $300.00 spent per night the room has an already filled mini bar refrigerator which would be nice if we actually drunk liquor and they charged us $20.00 if you want a fridge on your room... now this is just down right ridiculous... also upon arrival something was missing out of the fridge that we cant use and if it wasn't for notifying the staff upon arrival we would have been charged for it so housekeeping or the staff clearly didn't do a great job of inventory... customer service is so very important to me when I visit places but so far I'm not satisfied...

Hotel is beautiful and in a great location. The staff greets you with a smile making an amazing environment. I tried a bourbon drink garnished with a blackberry and strawberry. I fell in love and need the name but the bar won't answer their phone!!

Great hotel location if you're looking for diverse restaurants and easy access to major highways and points North of Atlanta. Rooms were very modern and beds very comfortable. We will definitely go back and this hotel will be on our list of first choices.

Came here for a few wedding events. Their drink menu is pretty good, but I found their deserts lacking. You would expect at least one chocolate desert on the menu.

Very nice hotel. Friendly staff, well-maintained rooms and facilities, plenty of open seating areas and places to sit and talk. The food and drink service for events is quite good.

Food options are very limited during the day. There are local places to eat, but if you're pressed (or just arrived) you'll be underwhelmed by the options.

Easy access to MARTA, which is good as other than office buildings there's not much around the hotel.

Quite reasonably priced for what you get.
