Went there to test ride bike. Staff and technicians are very polite and easy going

I really like this dealership. I've heard horror stories about Harley dealers -- my experience here was nothing but positive!

They have a good range of bikes, gear and accessories. Their salesmen are friendly and NOT high-pressure. They'll talk with you about bikes and stuff, without pushing you to buy anything. But it's really their service department that stands out -- they are helpful and got my bike serviced and back to me very promptly.

I just wish their prices were a bit lower, but I don't suppose anything HD is inexpensive....

I was working a lot of long hours when I bought my Softail Breakout from these folks. The only day I could make it down was on a particular Sunday but just around their regular closing time. They held the store open for me, worked out as much of the paperwork as possible ahead of time, and the whole sale only took about 45 minutes. The bike they sold me was pre-owned but looked brand new and came with a lifetime powertrain warranty. It has run like an absolute dream. The folks at Harley Davidson of Charlotte are charming and knowledgeable. Great place to buy a bike. I have recommended it to everyone I know who is looking to buy a motorcycle.

I just purchased my first new Harley Street Glide from Independence Harley-Davidson in Matthews. I would like to say that the treatment from the time you enter the front door, with a greeting and how may we help you to working with Mark, my salesman, Samantha the sales manager, Joey in finance and Le, Le in service was all top notch. Mark is courteous, very knowledgeable, and very helpful.

David in parts department is good to work with and they did have a nice event a few weeks ago. Overall I'm good with this dealership.

I visited the store on July 7, ,2020. None of the staff was wearing a face mask(WTH). I was the only person in the whole store that was wearing a face mask. STUPID People l'll never shop there again.

Cannot say more about our buying experience at Harley Davidson of Charlotte. We were looking for our first bike and went to 3 different dealerships in the area. Charlotte has the biggest selection of New and pre-owned bikes. We felt the most at home. While looking at and learning about different bikes, they gave us a tour of the entire dealership. they made us feel very welcomed even with our lack of knowledge. John helped us pick out the perfect first bike and got us all set up with the riding class. Danna took care of us in the motorclothes section and helped us pick out the right riding gear. Even the patrons that were there shopping for the day treated us great. This is the only place we plan to do our shopping and the only place we'll recommend to others who are looking for a bike.

I found all the staff I encountered, including sales, parts and service, to be professional, helpful and friendly.

My new Low-Rider S handles well and has a powerful 114 engine. It's a personal thing, of course, but I love the look of it!

Had a great experience with Ted and Bill. Look forward to this weekend's classes.I would recommend the MSF course to anyone interested in Riding!

My wife and I visited Independence Harley-Davidson so I could sit on a couple bikes and do some basic research to help make a decision for the down the road. John greeted us when we arrived and was not pushy and did not hover around. He was easy to talk to and let us browse without feeling like we were watched the whole time. I'll certainly return to this dealership for future purchases and accessories. Thank you, John!

I LOVE this Harley-Davidson dealer!! I have been to many others. I even have one in the city I live in. But, I Always drive about 40 mins away to go to Harley-Davidson of Charlotte. They have the BEST women selling the merchandise, VERY Friendly!! Great prices and selection on Harley's and merchandise. They have more merchandise than all the other Harley stores I have been in. HIGHLY Recommend Harley-Davidson of Charlotte!

Had a good experience with the "Learn to Ride" Program and the instructors. The dealership is also friendly, and seem to want to help you find what your looking for, and not just push sales.

Great place to buy a Harley Davidson motorcycle. Also they sell nice clothing and shoes. They also have a very good mechanic dept. That will work on the motorcycle if necessary. Katie Brett

Won,t go there again, went there to renew warranty on bike, all smiles till they found out I was,nt getting a new one, than no help, told me they didn't know if l could transfer warranty, an renew, looked up online, can do, they didn't want to. Went to Cox Harley Rock hill sc, they took care of me, now l,m smileing.

Although Harley Davidson parts, clothes and accessories are expensive, they are also quality. I took my Harley Davidson Sportster to HD of Charlotte for repair after taking it to another Harley mechanic. For some reason I had a gut feeling that it would be better to take my motorcycle to HD instead of the place that did a diagnostic on my motorcycle. I am so glad I did.

According to Cooper Cycles, my stator and magneto needed to be replaced. I was told by Cooper himself, that the voltage to my battery was too low and the rattling in the compartment where the stator is was most likely from a piece of magnet tumbling around. He quoted me a price of $300 for the stator and told me he would have to figure up the price of the magneto. I am unemployed and my money is a rare commodity. I had him do an oil change and told him I would have to come back for the stator.

When HD did their diagnostic on my engine, they came back and told me that there was nothing what-so-ever wrong with the stator. All that was needed was for the battery to be recharged. And, get this, my make and model sporster does not even have a magneto!! The rattling was from the primary chain that needed adjusting!!

Shame on you Cooper Cycles! I promise you that I will do my best to warn other motorcycle riders to avoid you like the plague!! You aren't even qualified to fix bicycles.

Thanks for the customer service. I showed up after service hours to drop my bike off. They found someone to write up the ticket even though they were closed. Timely service.

My husband and I dropped in to HD of Charlotte to get some boots and jackets bc we sold all of our stuff when we sold the bike 8 years ago. Two staff members, Danna and Terrie, greeted us in the apparel department. I had an idea of what i wanted, but wow they really delivered! I don t know who had more fun, them or me. It was the most fun and enjoyable shopping experience I d had in a while. Go see these girls - you won t regret it.

The service at this place sucks I just dropped $1400 at this place fixing my bike and today my battery post was melted they did not want to replace the battery they wanted me to buy a new one and there the ones that replaced it and wanted me to pay $60 to swap it that s BS I thought HD was supposed to be like a family

Unbelievable turn around time.I had multiple issues with my bike. So I brought it to the dealer on 9/5/17 on 9/7/17 my bike was ready and cleaned.I have found a dealer I can trust with my bike now.Service Advisor Jim Barlowe was very professional and made me feel comfortable leaving my bike.He came out side and listened and saw for himself my issues.In my book that's how you do business.

Very poor service. I made an appointment to have my 2007 Sportster 1200 custom put on a dyno machine. When I showed up a week later for my appointment, I was told by an unfriendly service man that Independence Harley-Davidson did not have a Dyno machine and very few shops did anymore and that they couldn t do anything to improve my sportsters problems. I can t explain it. I have always had good service there. I then found out that they are under new owners.

I purchased a 2006 Heritage Classic from Harley Davidson of Charlotte in June of 2012. This was the easiest vehicle purchase I have ever made. They gave me fair trade in price for my old bike. I made them a fair offer for the Heritage and they accepted it with no haggling. I don't play games so I didn't low ball them, I told them what I thought the bike was worth and they sold it to me at that price. They didn't play games with the interest rates, extended warranties or monthly payment amounts. They were honest and straight up on everything. I financed it through HD and that made the process even easier. HD gave me an interest rate that neither my bank nor credit union was willing to match. The bike is awesome. Even before ever buying from these guys I used to visit the store to look at their bikes. I was always treated well. Greeted but not harassed. They are really low key and not pushy. I highly recommend anyone looking for a Harley to give these guys the chance to earn your business; I think you will be satisfied.

Worked here and was incredibly disappointed in the care I saw. The management here is piss poor in the sales and parts offices. They don't pay the employees nearly enough to sustain themselves on their own. The parts manager brad doesn't know the system or how to properly assist customers. He refuses to accept returns for items that are defective or wrong application, and if he does you're subject to 20-30% restocking! Inventory is so incredibly off it's ridiculous! It's worth it to go to Speedway!

Heard that they finally fired Brad a couple months ago! About time! Still would go to Speedway or Team Charlotte MP!

Had a problem with my ptt switch .. Got there about 8:30 and met by Jim and Jordan .. Checked out the issue and took it back to Bob who corrected the issue ,, check ride and wash ,, and back on the road by 10 am ... Life is good when HD of Charlotte does the work .... The employees at this great motorcycle shop let me feel pressure in any way or Rush in any way that's why I went with them and I bought my motorcycle ever since I've come back and bought numerous products and add-ons for my bike they've always been kind courteous and respectful

When I entered the dealtership Tina made me feel extremely welcome. All other interactions stemmed from that one. I have been into other local Harley dealerships and felt like I was not important. From the moment I walked in the door I was made to feel at home. Came in to browse on Friday and bought a bike Saturday. Also, John the service manager was absolutely awesome to work with. My bike needed some service and he was on the spot... I really felt like those two were truly interested in taking care of me.

Since this dealership changed ownership things seem to have gone downhill. Especially in the service department. My bike went in for new tires, one of the tubes was faulty so the bike had to go back a second time. The bike then had a bent front rotor. When I brought the bike back for them to investigate, I was told there was no way they could have damaged my bike, and that it is what it is from the woman working the desk. So not only are they dishonest, and refuse to stand by their work, they're customer service is horrible. Do yourself a favor and take your bike elsewhere.

After my not so great experience a few months ago with parts, they've redeemed themselves. Big shout-out to Miles in the parts department for making it right and being SUPER helpful. The rest of the staff in service and motorclothes have always been fantastic.

I m on my 4th Harley Davidson ( 3rd Brand new one ). I bought this last one from here a few years back. Went in for service and was blown away with the customer service I received both in the service department and in the retail store. Will definitely buy my next new bike from them!!

Just picked up my first Harley from them. What an outstanding staff. I have been riding (rentals) for quite sometime now but was unsure about my first purchase. Jeff was incredibly patient while I looked at different models. He wasnt willing to sell me a bike I wasn't happy with. When it came time for paperwork Steve took care of everything and was open about all options from insurance to warranty plans. Dana helped my wife find a new lid and wasnt willing to complete the sale until perfect fitment was achieved. Angie, who works along side Steve, even helped me figure out post purchase details. I can not speak more highly of the professional staff that makes you feel like family. Yes, they are business. A local business that is fair and balanced. I will be a lifer with this branch of Harley Davidson.

I refreshed my riding fundamentals with their H-D Riding Academy course last month (which I highly recommend for new riders, or someone that has rusty skills), and purchased my first Harley from them a week ago. Everyone was very helpful throughout the entire purchasing process

Daniel was the man that sold me the bike. He was very welcoming, took lots of time with me, and was very attentive on the phone, with followups, and in person. He answered all the questions I had, and allowed me to take the bike out for a ride before purchase. We struck a deal, and he smoothly walked me through process. Also taking the time to be sure I had all the gear I needed, and introducing me to the Service Writers, so I knew where to go when I needed service. I was then turned over to Steve to handle the finance and titling. Steve is very knowledgeable in that area, and moved me through process quickly. He also got me the payment amount I was comfortable with.

I will be back when I'm in the market for another bike, and I am already planning another visit to buy some of their gear.

After circumstances stopped me from riding my 2018 road glide ultra, we were just thinking about a tri glide.
We first visited Independence HD on Saturday and were very pleased with our reception! How nice to be greeted and welcomed in at the door.
After a very few moments of looking at Tri Glides, Marc introduced himself and offered to answer any questions. We had no intention of purchasing a new tri glide quite yet when we came in, we were strictly here to learn. The way we were treated put us at ease and caused us to decide to let the team run numbers just to see how it would look.
The team here went to work, Marc, Anthony, and Joey put together good numbers for us. Good enough in fact that we came back the next day, Sunday and made the purchase! Now the proud owner of our 2020 tri glide ultra!
As others have said, from Tina and Maxines warm greetings at the door to the knowledge and passion of the sales and management team, this was a great experience!

Drop my bike in for a front noise. End up being front wheel bearings. They repaired under warranty. They also serviced the oil air and some other minor repairs. I had a great experience with Jim in service department. He spoke to me with honesty, sincerity and respect. I would hope the service department at that miserable Cox Harley would read these reviews and take notes for customer retention. I will recommend this dealership and I will return. Thanks Jim

During my experience working with Independence Harley to get back on two wheels the sales staff (Daniel and Samantha) did an outstanding job to work through all the issues that the lending company gave. And I m proud that I was dealing with such exceptional staff. After having horrible service at local Harley Dealers I decided to try Charlotte HD (Now Independence Harley) Trace was my sales rep and gave me good vibes. Then I met Steve the finance guy ... again. Good vibes. So I ended up purchasing an Ultra Limited and I will tell you ... you NEED to talk to Trace and Steve. By FAR the best purchase on a bike I have experienced. Since this was the first day as the new dealership they had issues with the computers so I waited ... and waited. BUT Steve made it right and THAT shows the kind of dealership this is. Even met the new owner. Down to earth guy that CARES about the customer. Trace and Steve made this whole experience pleasurable and fun ... will I be back? HELL YES! Kudos guys! We found our new Harley dealership!!!!!
