I have been a customer of IInet for about 5 years and I have never had any problems with them. They are a pleasure to deal with when I need to talk to them. I am currently getting them to arrange the movement of my services to my new address and it is being handled to their normal efficient way.
Google should have a 'zero stars' option for these reviews. One star is way to good for the service I am getting from iiNet.
I have had a simple issue for 5 days ON A BUSINESS ACCOUNT and they are not addressing it.
This is the bad old days. Being put on hold forever. Being passed around from person to person. Every time I call, I have to start over again.
No one understands what I am talking about and I have to explain a technical issue to a non-technical person.
I am so sick of these jokers I am going to change to another company. At lease with a fresh connection, I might have a chance of working internet.
And iiNet, your port blocking fetish is a total nightmare. Get over yourselves and stop doing this. No one else in the industry does it... why on earth do you?
I'm not IT savvy I don't have any knowledge of computers but Dean who answered and fixed my issue didn't make me feel inferior
when only the best will do. you will get iinet as your service provider.
7 years I have been with this company with zero problems
Yesterday, I called to disconnect on our move out day of the 3rd of July. iiNet have cancelled our internet today, 27th of June. Incompetent. This is why I'm not transferring service with iiNet to our new home. I have a newborn baby to look after, and some important emails to reply to, which are much easier to do on a laptop. Also, at the customer service rep's request, I have already completed and given him a good rating for his assistance - too soon!

Update: iiNet remedied the situation and internet was reinstated. Will update if the internet isn't cancelled as of July 3rd as previously requested.

I have been with iiNet now for the last four years and will not hesitate in recommending this Internet Service Provider to both the Private and Business sector in any community in Australia.

The switch over to NBN was very smooth and it all happened very quietly and with no problems at all, the technician came to my house, was very courteous and polite. He worked quietly, with little fuss, I was and remain very satisfied.

It is all too easy these days to be confronted with companies that don't have the time or the patience to deal with the people that make their business turn and it is very frustrating.
I have never, in the whole time that I have been with iinet (almost 10 years) had trouble getting things resolved quickly, efficiently and with a smile which is a unique experience for me. All problems are sorted out to my satisfaction every time.
I would recommend to anyone looking for an old-fashioned customer experience matched with modern day efficiency and speed to make iiNet their provider - you will not be disappointed.

I have been with Iinet for seven years now and will probably be there for another seven they have looked after me whenever i needed any help with new services and products, when all the Telstra lines where down they re en-burst me for the downtime so i wont be going anywhere else in a hurry i highly recommend this ISP if you want long term consistent service
I would give them minus 5 if I could - have had such an awful experience with them, 8 months of no internet, constant harassment and total incompetence - would never recommend them to anyone, a very costly mistake, has almost destroyed my business
Nothing but For the help I received from IT support from iinet. Explained what I needed to do to get my internet up and running in basic English, walked me through step by step and ensured all my devices were online.
Having been a customer for almost two years have never had an issue that wasn't fixed in a speedy manner. The website is easy to find help. On having a issue the callback feature is great, saves waiting on phone, staff are friendly and easy to understand and service is quick. Happy to recommend iinet to family and friends.

Been with iiNet for 6 years. Very happy with their service, advice and reliability of our NBN connection.
This review is more about iinet's absolutely atrocious service, I didn t get as far as getting connected to NBN .. I ordered and paid for my first month and modem .. they gave me a toolbox password to track the progress, which didn t work .. emailing support takes 2 days for a reply .. they, in total, sent 3 passwords and 3 times none of them worked.
After a week I called them, 3 times .. first they put me on endless hold .. second, said they would call me back .. and didn t .. finally, I spoke with someone].
He eventually told me that my order hadn t been processed, the modem hadn t even been ordered and I was essentially starting the process again (but they did get as far as taking the money).
So I cancelled .. I thought if this is the type of service before I m even connected, imagine what support is like when I have a problem .. He said that he understood, apologised and assured me that I would get a full refund. (iinet actually state when ordering that they will fully refund you if you are not happy with their service).
I thought 'that was a bad experience, but at least it s finished' ..
But No the customary 2 days later, I get an email saying that they cannot find an invoice showing that I was charged I sent them a shot of the transaction on my bank statement.
A few emails later, with 2 days or more between each reply, I threatened legal action and posting reviews such as this and on my social media accounts, describing just how badly I had been treated by iinet. I received a call from someone who took all my details again but said that he could do nothing and a more senior person would call me back. A couple of days later I called again,I spoke with someone who didn t seem any more senior than the previous guy. She took my details again and said that she d check things out and call me back. She did call me back and said that the refund had been approved by her manager on 10 April, so I would receive it 4 or 5 working days after that. It s now 10 working days since this approval and I ve received nothing. My advice .. STEER WELL CLEAR of iinet .. Not only awful customer service but I believe they re dishonest !
Worst service by a ISP I ever experienced. They sell you a service they can not provide. They should be locked up for fraught!
The day TPG purchased was the end of any kind of functionality and service for iiNet. Case in point - halfwqay through a service I don't receive an invoice, which doubled the following month bill, then the following month after that the direct debit fell off. This meant 2 hours of my time on hold and talking about sending an invoice and making sure direct debit payments come out.... An international company that doesn't know how to invoice, incredible.

With a large family the services with iiNet have been awesome but I have to say the customer service was outstanding, after our services went down the customer support was unbelievably efficient and sorted out our issue while I was still on the phone. He was friendly and so helpful. Thank so much

When my internet has been problematic my first contact with iiNet s representatives has always been professional, friendly and 100% customer focused. I am technically illiterate and iiNet s reps have in every instance solved my internet problems. Helpful and friendly.
Over the past 20 years I have had different Internet service providers . For the past eight years iinet have provided a reliable and credible service. As an IT professional I would regard iiNet as one of the best ISP s within Australia.

When technical problem occurred, IINet staff provided helpful & professional assistance to resolve issue. Also, proactively checked my current plan and suggested improvements.

When I started with iiNet after a recommendation from a relative the sales people were very helpful. But good service comes into its own when you are having problems. I changed my password to iiNet and didn't realise I had to change it on my modem. I got a real person, not just a bot that picked up key words and sent me references on line, who was patient and talked me through the process. I was so relieved and can"t recommend iiNet enough.
Fairly painless resolution of my service issues but a bit disappointed there is such a hefty fee to update my outdated STB which is apparently NOT included in my monthly fee :-(

I had an internet outage which took some time to locate. The iiNet technician could not have been more helpful, and even apologised for what was not at all his, or iiNet's, fault. I was extremely appreciative of the way iiNet handled the problem, and of the fact that I was not kept hanging on to the telephone for a prolonged period.
Having trouble with the fraudband copper cabling which is not caused by iiNet. My only point of contact to get this rectified is iiNet and all of their customer service staff have been fantastic. They are friendly, helpful and patient. So far they have organised three visits from technicians who have also been good but basically the old copper just needs to go.
I've been an iiNet customer for several years now, ever since they took over Adam Internet, and I'm very happy with the service I've recieved. They've always been very helpful and obliging and I've only ever had one less than positive interaction which was sorted out very quickly. I'd definitely recommend them.
Staff member was helpful and courteous in answering our questions and even offered a suggestion about how we could optimise our service which resulted a cost saving.

I have now been waiting over 3 weeks for a refund on my money for not one, but TWO mistakes they made on their end for my nbn set up. After countless "someone will get back to you in 24 hours" and promises that they would, which they never once did, I was told my money would be back either yesterday or the day before, and it still isn't. I was given the run around constantly but they wanted me to pay AGAIN to have it set up. Their customer service is terrible and unreliable, I will never go with them or recommend them to anyone else.

Any complaint is not addressed, it is fobbed over and ignored. A vast difference to what is written about how they handle complaints!!
I have lost hours and hours of work time due to the shocking connection problems then more time lost with waiting for some one to speak to and try to sort the issue...example right now a wait time of 41 minutes to speak to a customer service person.

My choice of iiNet was based upon their reputation. After almost 1 year I have no regret in that. On the occasion of calling the support desk I received prompt, courteous and knowledgeable assistance, I do recommend them to friends and workmates.
It is not even one star if there is less then one star i will certainly put it. The worst serves i have experience ever waiting for nothing and lying plus they stole my money. As an advice STAY AWAY FROM THIS DIRTY COMPANY. I was waiting for more then 2 months to set up my wifi

I love that I don't have to wait on the phone for ever, they call me back when my turn comes around. I also love the voice ID verification. The support team stay with you for as long as it takes to solve the problem.

I have been with iiNet for 11.5 years and have very rarely had a problem with my internet service and when I have had a problem the team at iiNet have promptly and expertly fixed it without much fuss. Consider iiNet when looking for a provider, I have never regretted my choice.

Had been with inet for nearly Nine years, up till TGP take over, we could not fault inet at all, TGP moved in, Customer Service Moved Out, they people I spoke to were very nice and tried to help, but TGP policy strangled it, Forty Eight Days to get back to me in connection with a reported Fault on the line and terrible internet connection, Sorry iinet,whoops TGP you Killed a Good relationship, $2,000 a year you have lost from us now, Bye Bye

5* customer service this week whilst dealing with some issues with s new service.
Terrible, just absolutely terrible, I have faster internet with my 4G phone. Still no phone service after almost 2 years, disgusting. Their email server is just a nightmare, I have had many emails just vanish. Deleting emails has to be done one at a time, screen after screen, slow and time wasting. I have had to move back to Yahoo for my email. Customer service is all but none existent. Just do not bother with IiNet once they were excellent but now they are disgusting, well below average.
I have has my internet connection with iiNet for over 10 years. It has always worked well and if there has ever been a query, the helpful staff on the phone have sorted things out really easily and quickly. I will be keeping them when I change over to the NBN which I am hoping will be fairly soon now.

iiNet agreed a contract to supply a multi-box in addition to our mini box.
They assured me it would cost $10 a month only and I triple checked in the telephone conversation that this was the case that we would not be paying $395 in addition.
When I complained they looked into it offered me $50 compensation but eventually they accepted it was their mistakes their fault their misinformation and on January 4th at 3 p.m. I was assured that this cost charge would be waived and that we would only be paying $10 a month for the multi-box
Today I have been told this is not the case take $50 pay up or return the box and my husbands account has been debited 390 +
I am contacting consumer affairs for help as iinet has accepted it's their fault
The impression was that I was not the only one who has been given the wrong information so it's not my fault it is theirs

Fabulous service and great customer support when its needed. Nothing is to much trouble and they don't keep me waiting on the end of the phone. They ring me and solve my problem and don't hang up until its all working at 100%. I fully recommend them.
The customer service operator, Sunaina, dealt with my problem efficiently and first time up, despite having o deal with a grumpy man having to get down on the floor where NBN have cleverly put their boxes, back-up batteries etc.

After many unsatisfactory dealings with another provider (which starts with T,), I switched to iiNet. Their customer service is fantastic, and on the rare occasions I have had technical glitches, they are prompt and professional with a remedy. Nothing is too much trouble, and the same representative takes care of you until your issue is fixed. Highly recommend.

NOBODY at iinet is interested in helping. Avoid iinet like the plague. Since AAPT acquired them they have gone backwards. Shocking service.
I wanted to change credit cards for a payment. I phones 6 times and was cut off. I tried to access the toolbox and that's impossible!

Horrible service, (both customer and internet), all you hear is lies and false promises, left them over a month ago and they are still taking money out my account, had no internet for over the last month that i was with them due to a "fault" or "outage" (couldn't get a straight answer) annnd this wasnt the first time this happened...it was the 3rd over 8 months.
The day I swaped to a different company the problem was magically gone!

The speed I experience is the envy of a lot of my friends. on the odd occasion I've had to get assistance, it is great to know the call centre is in Australia and the person who answers your call is the person who rectifies the problem, even giving you their personal email if you need to follow up.
iiNet is the fastest internet service provider that I ve seen so far. They have a swift customer service portal with facilities like callback and in app service to reach customer quickly. I ve been using iiNet for almost an year and I have zero complaints and disputes about their internet service.
If you are looking for quality, excellent customer service, up to date products, a wide range of plans then this is the provider for you. I am totally happy with the choice I made and would recommend iiNet over and over again. They really are helpful, friendly and informative. Thank you iiNet.

It s a shame because when it is working it s good wifi but it s constantly not working.
4th time we have to wait for a technician to come out to fix it in the 2/3 months we have iiNet. Has been gone for 2 full weekends and the excuse is always the same that there was someone working in the area and they must have done something wrong. Have spent hours on the phone to customer service who I thought were trying to help but the service they are providing is just not good enough. The last 2 days they were suppose to ring us back about organising a technician to come out but they never replied our call so still no technician booked in, the second day the woman actually promised she will ring back and didn t.
We have also added my name to the account 4 times but somehow they never have a record of this and we have to do it again every time we ring.

Most of the time I dont think about my internet connection it just works, but when I had a problem recently within ten minutes of calling iiNet I had spoke to to the most helpful person who fixed the problem instantly very polite and knowledgable support

After 12 years got totally treated like trash, lied to, spoken over, continual promises that were never kept. Even getting my refund (3-5 business days) actually took 3 weeks including me Facebook bombing their public page. #wheresmymoney. They were good before TPG took over. Now I have third degree burns. Will avoid them for the rest of my life.
